"Sort of.." Bix shrugged. "We used to have barriers to protect us but they went down and since we can't get them back up again, the island is sort of a giant beacon for weird monsters. We sort of hover between real world and Halloween world. Since then the titans have been appearing but.." He gave her a reassuring pat and smile, even though the reality was probably much more dramatic. "Easy peasy. We have special equipment for this and everything." He lit up a bit explaining, except his explanation sounded terrifying. "Working in pairs, one of you gets strapped in a machine and the other person LAUNCHES YOU through the air.. wooooooooooooosh.. BAM.. right onto the monster. STAB STAB STAB. It's dead! Easy!"

Just about prepared to fully give in to the sweetness of sleep, Abbi was literally yanked from its warm embrace and pulled up into the air. A squawk left her as all four of her limbs flailed wildly, the girl half attempting to karate chop whoever it was doing the pulling (obviously some nasty creepy crawly deserving of her awesome moves) and only succeeding in throwing her hands and feet in every direction. A voice told her to 'up and at 'em', and called her kid, before the girl realized oh yes, wait, she had signed up for this and she really should be awake. "I'm not a kid! I'm 17!" She told the woman who let her go with a very decided pout before she tried to land gracefully and tripped over her own feet to fall back down with a very undignified sound. She was quick to pick herself back up, though more flailing occurred, before she shoved both hands onto her hips. "And I am totally up! And at them! I am soooo at them! Whatever them is... Are... Yeah!" The girl huffed and puffed and turned a circle in attempt to shake off the embarrassment of being caught sleeping and of having fallen. Both hands worked at dusting herself off, readjusting the bag on her back, anything to seem busy and unbothered by what happened, though they failed horribly in the last attempt. Her turn around found no one in the immediate vicinity that she knew, but her gaze did fall on someone new. "Can you believe that?" Abbi asked a nearby girl, quick to jerk her thumb back in the direction she thought the other woman had taken but of which was slightly off due to her still flushed state. "Pfffttttt. Its like... Super early I mean c'mon half of us are still asleep, amirite?" OK ok, she was cooling down and only huffed one more sigh. "You look new. Or maybe you just look not familiar. Are you either? Hi, B-T-W, sorry its uh... Kinda early for me." She laughed and waved at the girl before she took a few steps closer to her so they could properly converse.

Noticing Bix along with Kylee, the girl she'd been intending to hunt down talk to since the crowd at orientation had made her forcibly rude, Cami started to drift over that way. She ended up close enough to realize that Bix was not only not talking about some kind of video game, he was talking about what they were going to be doing. Swallowing hard, fingers lifted up to touch the arrow around her neck, stroking her totem and butting into the conversation. "But...what if someone misses?" Okay well, that was an interesting thing to come out! Cami had been thinking more about the fact that what if you don't kill it, or what if you get stepped on, or what do you mean we're close to Halloween world?! But hey, that wasn't a bad question. Right? Turning to Kylee she shot off a quick smile. "Good morning."

Bix made a face like the concept of missing hadn't occurred to him. "There's like.. harnesses and stuff." He motioned to his body as if that explained it and then waved dismissively towards her worried expression. "It's FIIIINE! We're professionals!" It wasn't really a stretch to compare Bix's talk to video games. Sometimes imagining his life as a game was the only way to get through. Fight monsters. Magic weapons. Maybe there would be a cheat code for infinite lives? "Besides I mean.. they are freakin HUUUGE. Titan, remember?"

Apparently a lot had changed from before she had even got here. Kylee would have appreciated barriers, certainly, and monsters appearing on their island when they didn't before? Oh gosh.
But at the very least, they were prepared? "It sounds like... extreme bungee jumping. With the inclusion of stabbing." Flying through the air with swords? She thought it sounded interesting, though she wasn't quite sure she could even aim properly while hurtling through the air...
And then Cami joined the conversation, voicing her worries and Kylee beamed, glad to see another familiar face. "Morning! And yeah, they'd move around, right? That means you could very well have to change your trajectory in mid-air..."
Kylee wasn't sure if she should be comforted that an experienced hunter was saying it would be fine and that he was very obviously alive, or that she should worry more knowing how exactly they were expected to launch themselves at huge monsters to attack.

As Harlow watched the other's comradely she couldn't help but to feel a little intimidated. It started to occur to her that she didn't really know... anyone. She shifted her weight as she stood, she glanced around noticing there were some other people standing by themselves. She wasn't really that sure if she should walk up to one of them. The question is what if they wanted to be by themselves?
That was when she jumped a little at the sound of a voice. She listened to the girl before smiling a little to the other girl. "Yes!" She said with a laugh, she was definitely still tired she wasn't that sure how she was feeling about this early morning thing, she hadn't done an early morning thing for a long time. She forgot how draining it was just to be up this early. She was a little caught of guard by the girl's question. "Well I guess you could say both." She laughed a little, "I'm new and I haven't seen you before as well!" She smiled brightly before reaching her hand up and rubbing her eye. "Yeah I'm not that great at this morning thing," she started before turning toward the other woman. "So what exactly are we doing, do you know?AyeAvast *Squeaks in excitement* ow o

7 am was early. It was almost too close to being still dark out and frankly Bradley liked his sleep. You'd think after how many years of being asleep he'd detest it, but he'd always had a special place for sleep in his heart.
[[ Mine, you can't always be asleep. Besides, the experience is good for you. ]] Yzalin reminded him. He jumped slightly, still not used to having someone in his mind who was as loud as she was. [[ I am not loud! I project my voice! ]] Case in point.
Yza... I never argued if the experience would be good for me. I argued about the time. While the death trainee was a rather positive guy, being woken up at 6:30 by a mental alarm just to be awake and ready was uncalled for. Just because he had to be awake didn't mean he wanted to me.
[[ Mine... This is what you do. Get used to it, or suffer the conciquences. ]] She sighed and went silent, giving Brad the impression she'd been with hunters who never did get used to it.
"Fine, fine." he muttered. He ran a hand through his hair, trying to tame it and looked around. He didn't see his cousins, but saw a lot of other people. Look, more people. Way to go! He hooked his thumbs on his belt and waited to see what would happen.
Idly he noted he seemed to be the only one with plate armor attached. Huh.

Frowning a bit at Bix's explanation that they were professionals Cami tried to approach the problem as it if it had a solution. Kylee's mention about shifting mid-air trajectory had the historian plucking at her Hunter coat, watching the sun flare out behind her. "Coats!" It was a bit cryptic, yet rapidly clarified by her flapping of it. "It's a parachute. It'll slow you down enough that you can potentially angle your trajectory to land on the titan. Barring that?" She shrugged a bit, trying to be more casual about it than she felt. "It'll make it hurt less when you hit the ground?" But not hard enough that you might not break a leg. Cami did not want to break a leg. At all. Harnesses, at least, sounded comforting. Stretching arms over her head the young woman started to limber up a bit. "I guess since we're the inexperienced rubes we're going to be the ones launched out of the cannon?"

Titans were a thing that happened. Killing titans was also a thing that happened, and when that coincided with extra pay, it was a good thing. Jordan wasn't usually up this early, but he rather enjoyed titan-hunting and it came with a bonus, so he was up, dressed, and nominally conscious. However, the coffee hadn't quite kicked in yet, and there were no immediate threats to allow adrenaline to replace caffeine as a stimulant, so he was quiet, only yawning from time to time.

Noah was only a little disappointed to find that the huge, human-sized launching cannons that had been a part of his first encounter with titans were not in evidence.

Digging his phone from his pocket, Harland read the latest text and didn't reply; she'd be there soon, after all. He did seem to become extra cheerful, though. Harland smiled in his sunny, open way and handed one of the coffees over. "Good mornin', a RóisÃn," he greeted her, with a wink. "Slept in, luv?" he asked, taking a sip of his own coffee. He offered her a little bag with some coffee ammenities like cream, sugar, stir sticks, etc.
"There's also a second breakfast bagel in here if you want it," he said, nodding as he nudged the large bag at his feet. The sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper inside the bag, don't judge. He couldn't hold the coffees and the bags at the same time. "Don't you think it's a great day?" he said, "Fair enough weather."

"Um ... why have you been awake since yesterday? Still having nightmares?" He raised a brow slightly as he took the cup, eying the contents. "This isn't some sort of home made remedy concision is it? Without waiting for an answer knowing he was going to end up drinking it no matter what the other said, he downed the glass. "... might have been better warm"

"Because I got the text last night and figured it'd better if I just didn't sleep than if I bothered getting a little sleep and coming here zoned out like you." He smirked, taking another sip from a water bottle he'd pulled out. He purposefully ignored the mention of nightmares. "I'll refrain from telling you what's in it this time and remind you that it would've been warm if you'd woken up while out was brewing."

"My phone didn't chirp until this morning." He frowned slightly. "Wonder if there's a lag in it or something. Still say a little sleep is better than none." He would at least be awake in a bit. It woudl just take him a bit to get going.

Taking the coffee cup eagerly she leaned in close to the lid for a deep inhale, it smelt so good. "Good morning, Harls." Lilac took another inhale, not even noticing herself she had shortened the others name, much less that she kept responding to Rose. What she did notice though was that the mans positive attitude was contagious and soon as she grabbed up the bag of amenities, a huge smile captured her lips and the sleep lifted from her features.
It was honestly refreshing to have another good mood around. Putting in a packet of sugar she stirred the cup up and took a sip to test the taste, small nose wrinkling when it was still to bitter. Fixing up the coffee to a good taste she took a long sip then replied after, "just a little but shh, that's our secret!" Chuckling she took another drink then peered around before turning back to Harland, "have you been up for a while? You seem very alert this morning, oh, they look so delicious! Don't mind if do." Despite her small frame, Lilac was NOT one to turn down the offer of delicious looking food, in fact before the offer she might have lingered a little longer than need be on the hunter with the pancake taco.
On a nod she bent to dig into the bag he motioned to, taking the nudge as an invitation and she wasn't shy. "Yeah! Or well so far its beautiful, I hope things don't get to bad, I read on twitter that these things were dangerous but," she filtered off pulling out a sandwich for herself and then peering to Harland, "want me to grab you this other one while I'm down here? Anyways, I'm excited to see what exactly this is all about for sure and really happy you are here too, now I'm not so worried." He really was kind of like a prince, in a way that she did feel more safe around the other. A beep of her phone sounded and she realized it was the alarm, looking down at it she realized it was after seven and still no one was here, but Harland hadn't seemed worried so she wasn't.
