Timmy frowned, but it was more a frown of confusion than frustration. he could think of a dozen ways to fake one of those bright flashes, but since the man said it was necesary to learn jutsu Timmy was stuck. He wasnt used to situations he couldnt fake his way around. School was easy until now, he could cheat off other students half the time, and that was enough to keep him afloat in a classroom he never payed attention to. Though he had once accidentally tuend in an assignment with the wrong name... regardless, now he had to find a legitimate way to create an aura of chakra. Natural inclination, meditation, or near death experience. None of those sounded particularly pleasant. perhaps he could find a new way. "uh. thanks, i guess." he muttered to Segare, before turning around and leaving the building. Shikaku seemed to be waiting, so on the way out Timmy whispered "remember that hunt? the one we were planning? lets do it. I need to clear my head anyways."

Shikaku hesitated a moment at Timmy's invitation, looking towards the teachers. He really did want to ask a couple questions of his own, but... Well, they were busy with the other students now, and he'd rather talk with less people around anyways. Shrugging, he resolved to put that off until later, and followed along at Timmy's side as they left the building, trying to think of which hunt Timmy was talking about. They'd planned quite a few, stayed up all night planning a few times even. Some were easy enough, others... Others he'd much rather wait on until they had a bit more experience in all this ninja stuff. "Alright, no bears or tigers though!" he whispered back on the way out the door. There was no way they were ready to deal with something much more powerful than them, especially if they failed, got caught, and pissed off the target.
Segare shook his head in amusement as Timmy left, Shikaku on his heels. The boy seemed unhappy with the fact he'd have to use that method to access his chakra, understandable considering his hyperactivity. But, really, it was the basis of all jutsu. Even those that learned through other methods still employed the same principles as meditation to focus and draw out the power. Still, he was sure the boy would find some solution, possibly even a new method if he was determined enough. The kid had potential in that, at least.
Noticing after Timmy had left that the crowd around him had quickly thinned, Segare smirked. It seemed perhaps a few of the other students had come to ask the same question Timmy had. Noting that noone was approaching him anymore, Segare waved towards the two he wanted to speak with, gesturing for them to come forward. "Rhodes, Enryu, if you would come over here?" he called, just to be sure they interpreted his wave correctly. Not to mention calling them would dissuade others from approaching for awhile.
While he waited for the two, Segare leaned back over the desk, fishing blindly in a draw for the spare scrolls he'd had prepared for the class, just in case of exactly this situation. Once they reached him, he held the scrolls out in his left hand, each pinched between two fingers. "Here, one each." he said, indicating they should take the scrolls. Once they had, he withdrew his hand, tucking both into his pockets and leaning on the desk.
"I'd like to thank you both for not interrupting the class when you came in. But, since you were too late for the introduction, you'll have to learn the technique on your own time. It's very basic, so the scroll should be enough, but if you find you need help, feel free to ask Luo." he said, cocking his head towards the other man. "Remember though, this is the only time I'll be giving you this second chance. If you show up so late again, you won't receive instruction or a scroll, unless you're willing and able to pay for it." Segare inclined his head severely, -and mentally noting the irony of having to look up to do so with Enryu- looking at them each in turn for a few seconds before letting up and allowing a small smile. "That's all I needed from you guys, so if you don't need me, you can run along now." he said, waving them away in a friendly shooing gesture.
With them at least, he had little doubt they would succeed by the next class, even if they were on their own. Both were rather excellent students, so he really wasn't sure why they had been so late in the first place. Well, he doubted anyone would be late for the next class, since he'd promised them a jutsu. Now he just needed to figure out which one would be an appropriate second step...

At Segare's beckoning the tall man raised a single black eyebrow but approached nonetheless. Once the man procured a scroll, one for each student, the former soldier understood the shinobi's intentions. Of course the man would notice any latecomers but was gracious enough to provide aid after noticing the difficulty his students had. He expressed his thanks by bowing his head after taking the scroll into his own large, calloused hands.
At Segare's warning against any further instances of tardiness, Enryu's lips twitched fractionally. The equivalent of a well-meaning grin on a usually stoic and cautious face. Shinobi were a curious breed, possessing such supernatural power to challenge individuals who might otherwise best them physically. He knew Segare's lanky build was deceiving and the man could easily outperform him physically but the gap between their combat prowess was one Enryu intended to sever immediately.
Dismissed by the shinobi, Enryu turned and quickly stalked out of the classroom and into the camp. His fading form could been seen making a direct bee-line to the outlying bamboo forest.

Rhodes had expected an ear chewing of a lifetime but was mildly surprised that it wasn't as intense of a chastising as he thought it would be. Simply with just how he grabbed up some scrolls and handed them to him t learn on his own was a gracious relief. Taking the scroll, Rhodes looked over it idly before returning his sole gaze upon Segare when gave a compliment, instructions, and then a warning that Rhodes was definitely intending to heed. Surprised though, that he'd speak in such a manner to the mesomorph of a man beside him but at the very least he had to admire that Segare was kind enough to help him; thankfully in something he was good at... studying.
Bobbing his head in thanks, Rhodes placed the scroll safely within one of the pouches of his back-sac and headed out towards the town. Intending to gather the object for his parents and then return to the house to get to studying of the scroll.
๑๑๑๑As most of the students seemed to flock to the front of the room at the end of the class, Luo made himself scarce as usual, positioning himself slightly behind Segare, crossing his arms and simply staring blankly forward. For one reason or another, when Luo stared off like that no one seemed to want to bother him. He postulated it was because they thought he may have been in deep thought, however quite often that couldn't have been further than the truth. Sometimes, the young man just needed to place himself elsewhere and not be 'present'. However, as his eyes focused, he caught a glance from Shikaku who seemed apprehensive to approach. Had Timmy not approached first, Luo out of interest for the boy would've motioned him to com forward. It didn't matter though, Luo figured he'd catch the kid around the village at some point.
As Segare dealt with the two late students and offered them the one reprieve each class seemed to have for the students, Luo casually stared at the pair. As they both expressed thanks for the gesture and left, Luo walked a bit forward and turned to face Segare. "Well, it wasn't quite the success rate I was hoping for, but I have a feeling I may have been too optimistic. I didn't look around much, but I could feel a select few had a slightly higher output. I just hope when I get to them for chakra control they can regulate it well. Otherwise the wall-walking lessons will just be a mess of scrapes and bruises."
As Segare responded, Luo thought about how his next lesson wasn't even to go that far. He was supposed to teach kunai and shuriken throwing techniques, however he had a plan to make that class as short as possible. Unlike most of the stuff they would learn from the other councilors, Luo had the luxury of most of his work being something they could practice on there own time most anywhere in the village. The difficulty in his classes didn't lie with just what was being taught that day, but what was taught in every class beforehand as well. He often enjoyed pitting the kids against each other in small teams or simple one-on-one exercises. When defeat came it came hard, and those who were lacking in keeping up with the class were easily recognized by the group. The social pressure alone was enough to force those kids to get it together and train harder, usually at least.
"That guy, Enryu. I can't seem to figure him out. The way he looks at us sometimes, I don't know. Seems like he's trying to figure something out. When he smiles sometimes it almost seems to be insidiously, although I'd be hard pressed to say his appearance doesn't beg that to be somewhat of a normal feature of his. I wish I had someone like him to bring along on trade trips, might make some prices fall." With that small quip to the man's clear imposing stature and appearance, Luo smiled lightly.
Rin, still standing in the corner, couldnt help but but overhear Timmy's statement as he left the "academy". Today was what many would consider a boring class, especially for the teachers, but Rin found herself glad that she was there. Seeing those with natural leanings towards chakra control helped update her list of useful applicants. For Rin was becoming impatient with the village's progress and needed to know who would best fit her... needs. Ever since her initial girlish "act" Rin hadn't said more than a word or two in front of the students. When she did speak, however, it seemed to grab everyone's attention immediately. It wasn't an issue with volume, she tended to speak fairly quietly, but it was something else. Perhaps because she only spoke when she had to? regardless, she waited until the classroom had cleared before approaching Luo and Segare. "You know you shouldn't have said that right? That moron is going to take what he sees as the path of least resistance. I'm sure Luo's already figured out what the boy plans to do." She scratched her head. "Probably won't see those two tomorrow. Shame too, Shikaku showed some promise."
At that she turned away and approached her little sister. "Hey Sis!" her voice sounded almost happy. Rin was finding it hard to stay mad at Michiko. She would find a way to stop this whole ninja deal, but that could wait. Perhaps she would come to her senses before even reaching graduation anyways? If not she could work village security rather than more dangerous missions outside the village. Though Rin would have to make sure she has friends on the guard too. From what she could gather, Michiko's interest in becoming a shinobi was stemming largely from peer pressure. All her 'friends' were learning to be ninja after all. "I have a free day today, so what do you want to do?"

"You can always choose your actions...
Athran stood in the back of the classroom, going largely unnoticed it seemed, while he listened to Segare and Luo as they went over the days lesson. Meditation? That's the key to performing jutsu?, he thought to himself. It seemed simple in theory, but as Luo said, it would be more than a simple breathing exercise. As Luo finished with his instruction, Athran lowered himself to the ground and made the hand-seal as he'd been told. Empty my mind, how hard can that be?
It was harder than he'd imagined. He tried to close his eyes and tune out the world around him, but the harder he tried, the more his mind seemed to wander. Though he could not see, he could hear the breathing of the other students, their shuffling as they attempted to position themselves more comfortably. He couldn't ignore the sounds of activity, as little as there was, going on around him, and he could feel himself growing frustrated with the exercise.
Clenching his jaw in frustration, Athran opened his eyes just as Segare addressed the very issues he was facing. But he made it sound so much simpler than it was. Athran already knew that he needed to ignore the world around him, but how was he to do that? Closing his eyes once more, Athran tried to focus on his own breathing, attempting to tune into that sound and that alone, but it was hopeless. He had always tried to focus on the world around him, attempting to notice even the tiniest details, and try as he might, that instinct to be aware of his surroundings couldn't be overcome.
Frustrated with the lesson, Athran began to let his mind wander, and invariably his thoughts drifted to the archery range. Perhaps after today's lesson he would go and practice. Shooting targets always seemed to calm him down. He never felt more focused than when he was loosing an arrow at his mark. Lining up the shot, the rest of the world just seemed to fade away until it was just him and the bulls-eye...
That's it!, Athran thought, his eyes shooting open at the sudden realization, I already know how to tune the world out, I've just been going about it the wrong way! Closing his eyes once more, Athran pictured a field of grass, a single circular target at one end, rings painted in red radiating from the center where a red circle lay, while he stood at the other, his bow already in his hands.
He inhaled deeply, and in his mind Athran lifted his bow while drawing back the string, just as he would if he were actually out on the range. He focused on the bulls-eye of the target, and in his mind everything faded away except for himself, the bow and that bull's-eye. He felt as if he was the bull's eye, and the bow, and the arrow nocked to the string, all at once. He couldn't miss, because he was already one with his target, just as he was one with the arrow. He couldn't miss, because he had already decided he would strike the target's center.
Exhaling, Athran let the arrow fly in his mind, and as he did he felt... something. Like a rush of energy, it seemed to suffuse every part of his body. He opened his eyes and everything seemed clearer, sharper, as if until that moment he had been looking at the world through fogged glass. His hearing seemed more acute, as if until this moment his ears had been stuffed with cotton. Looking down at himself, a small, self-satisfied smile spread across his lips at the sight of a pure white glow drifted off of him, appearing almost like mist that rose out of his skin slightly before dissipating.
So this is chakra, Athran thought to himself, exulting in the feeling of power. Looking around the room, he could see that many of the students seemed to be having more difficulty with the process, and none of them seemed able to produce a visible aura as he had, though perhaps that was because few of them had learned the focus it takes to hit a target a hundred meters down range. He couldn't be sure, all he did know was that he was one step closer to attaining the strength he so desired.
After a moment longer of holding onto that power coursing through his veins, Athran let his aura subside, not without a sense of regret as the world seemed to grow duller once more. I wonder what would happen if I tried to hold onto the aura indefinitely? Would all of my chakra leak out? If I could I would never let go. It almost feels as if I'm in some dull imitation of the real world now..., Athran mused, regretting that he had to let go, but knowing that it was for the best.
Rising to his feet, Athran waited for the rest of the class to finish, but before anyone else seemed able to complete the task, Segare concluded the lesson, instructing the students to continue practicing on their own. As the rest of the class filed out, Athran walked to the front of the room and stood before Luo and Segare, inclining his head in a small sign of respect before asking, "I was wondering, you mentioned that some people are born with a natural inclination to chakra manipulation, able to manipulate it almost effortlessly, is there anyone in the village with such a gift?"
...what you can't choose are the consequences."
(edited per Luo's request, I assume that my chakra control type would make this exercise a little easier, hope the post was adequate, and i know that shikaku was able to produce an aura, but it sounded like Athran wouldn't have been able to see it without focusing directly on shikaku and really trying to from the way it was described)
Since the first release of chakra, Michiko had been keeping herself busy with everyone else's business rather than focusing on her own meditation. Anyone who'd been paying the slightest attention to her would have no doubt that she would be unable to reach into her chakra by the end of class. It was the truth, too. Class had ended, and Michiko was no closer to releasing her chakra than when class had ended.
For a moment, Michiko was horrified when she realized that she had accomplished nothing in class. However, in the next instance, she figured that she could worry about it all later. Right now, she had more interesting--therefore more important--matters to attend to, like answering Rin's question. "Rin-nee," Michiko stood up and replied twice as enthusiastically as her sister had asked, "tell me how you learned to release chakra!". As she often did, Michiko had responded with the first thing to cross her mind. Though, after the words had slipped out of her mouth, Michiko had to admit that everything tied together nicely in the end.
๑๑๑๑Sighing a bit as Rin spoke to Segare about Timmy, Luo's eyes shifted towards some of the stragglers in the room who were talking about the lesson a bit more before leaving. She was right in being concerned, however Luo had opted to try and not think about it. With Timmy, Luo had learned through consistent trial and error that he had to word things carefully when talking to him or giving him instructions. He couldn't count the times he'd been forced to step between Timmy and his unsuspecting opponent in spars when instructing them to 'fight like their lives depended on it'. The gate guards weren't dumb however, it was never safe for academy students to travel in the forest alone. Apart from hunting trips, it usually piqued their interest when students wandered off. Luo didn't doubt the posted guards let the two forest patrol guards know through radio seal to keep an eye out.
"Don't worry about it, they'll be tracked if they go out too far. Considering there's been a tiger spotted near the gates recently, they probably wouldn't have had to go that far to find a challenge. I think it's stalking one of the guards, just can't figure out who." The last sentence was muttered seemingly lower than his usual speaking tone, an afterthought that had been gnawing at him for the past few days. As he began to mentally go through a list of the gate guards and their schedules, he noticed Athran approaching fairly close. From the chatter of kids leaving the class, apparently Athran was one of the first students to access chakra.
Nodding politely towards the boy, he posed a question to the pair. It was an interesting question certainly, and one oddly enough Luo had an answer to. "Well, in earnest near effortless manipulation comes with time, patience, and dedication. However, there are individuals out there capable of accessing and using chakra with seemingly more ease than most. This oddity is usually due to genetic predisposition, so it tends to run in clans or family bloodlines, sometimes unnoticed. As for your question yes there are, I'd say a good handful or two of shinobi in the village including myself. You'll find that a lot of more notable shinobi clans have this predisposition for exemplary chakra control."
After about three seconds, Luo became curious as to why he wanted to know about this. Having had his interest piques enough if anything out of boredom, Luo posed a question. "Why do you ask?"
After he'd dismissed Rhodes and Enryu, it seemed most of the students interested in approaching Segare had wandered off, leaving him and Luo in a comfortable silence, one Luo soon chose to break with his observations on the class, leading Segare to chuckle at his disappointment. "Well, one hundred percent was a tall order, much as we may have hoped not to need to review this lesson. Still, it's a good crop of kids, and more succeeded, or at least came close, than I really expected. I think most will have it down by the next Ninjutsu lesson if they practice." he responded, shrugging. "Wall walking is going to be a mass of bruises regardless though." the man tacked on with a snicker. The one constant in teaching the wall and water walking techniques, was a massive number of failures, and a lot of bruises if you used the traditional 'Run up that tree' method.
Luo's next statement extracted a shrug from Segare as he turned to half face his younger friend. He'd noticed Enryu's odd looks at them, and occasionally other shinobi and even a few other students before, but never thought overly much of it. "Well, look at it this way. The guy's older than I am, a trained soldier with extensive combat experience, and you could kick him around like you were playing ball. For someone like him, that's gotta grate something awful. Only thing worse has to be seeing the kids around him getting stronger so quickly that they already almost match him physically." He was familiar with how the man must feel, to an extent. It was something a clan raised shinobi could never fully appreciate, the feeling of looking at someone half your age and knowing they could trash you in a fight. That feeling could only grow according to how good you thought you were before meeting a shinobi trainee.
Before Luo could respond further, Rin approached them, and her statement cause Segare to blink in confusion a moment, before cycling back through his comments to the lad. Realizing what she was referring to, he shrugged once again. "Eh, I wouldn't worry too much. Shikaku went with him, I expect he can keep them out of too much trouble. Kid may not be that great at his lessons, but he's got a good head on his shoulders, and Timmy seems to listen to him." was his response. Less useful than Luo's own assertion that the guards would protect them perhaps, but he had faith in his students. Or so he would claim if it came down to it.
Before they could resume their conversation, as Rin had promptly moved on to chat with her sister, another student approached. One of the few who had achieved a full aura during the lesson. And the boy asked a question that actually interested Luo enough to respond himself. When the man paused though, he still decided to throw in his own two cents. "There apparently weren't any in this class though. Some had an easier time than others, indicating a good control over their chakra, but a true natural as I was referring to would have produced an aura within a few moments of making the attempt, without even achieving a full meditation. They really are more common in clans, though the line tends to blur there as some perceived naturals are in reality just highly talented, and have simply absorbed a lot of knowledge from being around skilled ninjas all the time." His response complete, Segare returned to silence, watching the boy. He was as curious as Luo as to the answer of Luo's question, asked the moment he finished speaking.

"You can always choose your actions...
The clans... of course. The power always seems to be in their hands, Athran thought, a bitter half-smile forming on his lips for just a moment, closing his eyes as he shook his head slightly, almost ruefully. You certainly are an arrogant one, Athran, to think you might posses such a gift. Opening his eyes, so similar in color to a cloud foretelling rain, he turned his somber gaze on Luo as he posed his question, schooling his features back to his normal stoicism. Athran thought for a moment, as usual wanting to choose his words carefully before answering. Turning his gaze towards the window to see the sky outside, he mulled over his response. With a shrug and a smile that didn't touch his eyes, Athran replied in a rueful tone, "Hubris, I suppose."
Turning his attention back to Luo and Segare, the smile falling away, Athran bowed to both of them individually before turning towards the door and making his way out of the classroom without another word. As he strode through the halls, his face betraying no emotion, Athran's thoughts drifted to his mother. It had been more than a year since he had been admitted into the village, and though he had made some progress towards becoming a full-fledged shinobi, that progress was slow, much slower than he had anticipated. The house they lived in was a small step above a hovel, and while they were by no means starving, eating the same meal of rice and whatever the cheapest vegetables his mother could find in the market was beginning to wear on the young man. Farming wasn't a particularly valuable skillset in a village full of warriors, where most of the food was grown on farms outside of the village walls, and Athran would be damned if he let his mother return to toiling in a field.
But all the same, he had expected to be able to provide for her by now. He had thought that he'd be a true shinobi by now. How long would his mother have to do odd jobs, cleaning houses and sweeping streets! Passing by a group of first year students, none of them much older than ten, Athran cast his gaze towards them and was surprised to see several of them jump before quickening their pace. Stopping in the middle of the hall, Athran looked down and noticed that he had unknowingly formed a fist and his features had taken on a murderous cast. Calm, Athran, you must remain calm, he thought to himself, taking a deep breath as he relaxed his hand and schooled his features back to a stoic mask. We're finally beginning to learn to utilize chakra. The lessons on theory are behind me. Surely I won't have too much longer to wait before I graduate. And once I've become a true shinobi I can give my mother the life she deserves.
Continuing down the hallway, Athran decided that he needed to calm his nerves, and he could think of no better way than practicing his skills. Enough of standing targets, I think that it's time to move on to something more challenging. Perhaps I can bag a deer and surprise mother with some venison for dinner. With that thought in mind, Athran headed to his home to collect his bow before he would head beyond the gates. It had been a while since he'd been on a hunt, but he could think of few better ways to both improve his skills and put food on the table.
๑๑๑๑Smirking at Segare's first statement, even Luo knew teaching the wall walking technique was indeed going to be somewhat of a hurdle for the children. In fact, it usually was the first chakra control hurdle any shinobi really encountered. In some ways, learning the technique measured the temperament of a young shinobi. His hope was to have a bunch of kids who were slow to anger in the exercise, and instead more focused on the task at hand. But based on today, he was pretty unsure how the class would go. One thing was for sure however, they would definitely have to practice the technique outside of class. It wasn't something that was easily accomplished, and learning how to properly maneuver while using it was another thing entirely.
When Segare touched on Enryu, he seemed not to be bothered in the least by it. What he said about the guy was true though, and although Luo didn't quite understand what he was feeling, he could certainly agree that it may have been aggravating for him to have someone like Luo as his superior. Still, Luo couldn't quite sympathize with the notion. In the end, Luo believed if one was skilled enough to lead than so be it. Even within his own clan there were times he gave orders to people twice his age and no one seemed to complain. Still, his family valued skill above all else, age was nothing more than something used to guesstimate how long you had until your skills naturally diminished.
After a moment spent on the boys who'd left and just as well Luo engaging Athran, the boy produced a rather interesting answer before bowing and leaving. "Well, that was rather vague," Luo said in passing as he watched the boy from one of the windows. Although the statement was easy enough to understand, Luo was curious as to why he'd chosen such a statement. Exhaling through his nostrils emitting a small sigh, he glanced over at Segare before turning and walking towards the door, waving as he left. "Well, I guess I should make sure those kids are at least being watched out there. Hopefully I can get to figuring out just who it's hunting."
Taking a hard right out of the room, Luo allowed his voice to echo in the hallway back to Segare. "I'll be sure to enlist some help from you in any future classes I may have."
With that, the young man walked out of the main door, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he headed for the gate.
"Mm." Segare murmured in agreement. It seemed the boy must have hoped to have been a natural. He was skilled, to be sure; having been one of the first to succeed indicated an excellent connection with his chakra, and suggested the boy would have fairly good chakra control at that. But a true natural was incredibly rare, and even harder to prove as such. The only way to truly confirm a natural would be to isolate the individual their entire lives before asking them to produce an aura, to prevent them learning in secret. Plenty of so called naturals had in reality simply trained themselves in secret to create an illusion of their own superiority. And even still further, the line was often blurred until someone who simply had excellent control was called a natural, which probably could have been the case with Athran. In reality, Segare wasn't sure true naturals actually existed. In every case of one there was the possibility of some extenuating circumstance to create the illusion, and in the end, the distinction made no difference when it came to actually using their chakra, leaving it a title of dubious value, if any.
Sighing, Segare drew himself out of his thoughts as Luo spoke once more, indicating a desire to observe the students who had gone out hunting. Before Segare could really respond as Luo walked out, the younger man called out his parting remark, sending a shiver down the man's spine. Those words did not bode well. He wasn't sure how, since he wasn't that bad at the physical things, but somehow Luo was going to have his revenge for this class, and in all fairness, there was no way Segare could refuse. "It wasn't that bad..." he muttered, leaning back against his desk again.
Glancing around the room, Segare noticed that almost everyone had left, with only a few students left in little groups chatting, or just sitting quietly. "Alright everyone!" Segare called out, deciding that he rather wanted to get out of here himself, before the teachers for the lower classes got it into their heads to ask him for a demonstration or lecture or something. "Let's clear out of here so the next class can use the room." He said once he thought he had some attention, speaking loudly for those not listening and waving his hands at the door.
Before leaving himself, he glanced around the room, looking for the girl who had just arrived, but didn't see her anywhere. Shrugging, he assumed she had left earlier rather than waiting for them to finish with the rest of the kids, and started walking towards the door himself, waving to Rin, and along with her, Michiko, on the way out. "Later Rin, Chiko." he called, including the girl's sister for simple proximity. Before he could think on that long enough to decide fairness demanded he greet each student individually, he walked out the door, leaving the building and setting his feet to wander. He hadn't made any particular plans this afternoon, not knowing how long class would go, so he wasn't sure where to head. He could go to his office and find something to work on there, or he could head to the residential sector and meet random people. Well, there was that construction project some chuunin had been asking him to authorize, so theoretically he could meet up with some of the village craftsmen and work out some details on that... Yes, that sounded best. Smiling to himself, he turned and walked in that direction.

((Sorry for the wait. Work still sucks. And they are changing my schedule for the thousandth (and a half) time this month.))
Rin faked a smile when the little sister asked her question. In truth she had received some training from their parents, training that Michiko was still too young to start at the time. Their father was an expert at chakra control, and had some rather unusual exercises to train it. But even the thought of their parents put a lump into Rin's Throat. She simply waved towards the door, in acknowledgement of Segare's 'orders'. She didnt even respond when Segare waved goodbye. She quietly walked out the door, fake smile and all. It wasnt until they were a fair distance from the 'academy' that she was able to speak. "Well.. A wise prince taught me. While I was on my journey to the mountains." She said in a teasing tone, though she was still shaking off the shivers of the flood of memories from her early training. "Actually I started with meditation. Like you. Though with some slight differences. Though it was in the mountains. Segare seems to think fighting distractions helps in the long run, but frankly you will pick it up faster in quiet. Doing it without distraction can come later."
