[6+1 for Teamwork: 7]
Pushups? Not a problem. Since she and finished warming up a bit before Arias, she figured she'd go ahead and get her pushups done. Well, once she grabbed a sip of water. Kaatje was right; dehydrating was definitely a bad idea. Kin knew what it was like to forget to drink enough water and pass out in the middle of a dance class. That was something she'd rather not repeat here. "You ready? She asked Arias before going ahead and dropping down to her hands and toes.
She rolled her shoulders for a moment, feeling some tension there and trying to work it out before starting her pushups. The tension didn't quite work out of her shoulders, but it wasn't too bad. Kin got to about 17 before her calling it quits. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't her best either. Hopping back to her feet, she looked to Arias. "You're turn." She smiled, pulling at her shirt. It was getting warm pretty quickly. Honestly, she'd forgotten what it was like to work out in non-dance clothes. It felt so weird, like there was way too much material on her body. Jeanne very happily took the advice to take a water break - passing out from heat exhaustion seemed like exactly the opposite of what she wanted to do. When she was given her partner's name, she moved towards the other woman, giving her a polite smile.
"Doin' good so far?" She asked. Chatter, though, would have to be short, at least for now, so she slipped back to the actual work grounds and dropped down.
Apparently the warmups had worked out all the remaining kinks, because pushups came pretty easy.

After the water break, Tallulah joined up with her partner, Jeanne. "Yeah," she said, "The warmup was pretty okay." She'd found it easy and chalked it up to doing similar things in physical therapy. "So, pushups," Tallulah added, and let Jeanne go first, crouching beside the other girl an counting. Twenty went by, and the other girl just kept going."Woah," Tallulah said. "You're a beast at this!" Which meant it was her turn. Tallulah got into position. "I've got to warn you," she said. "I'm probably going to be bad at this." And then she did, like, twenty-two push-ups? So. Like. Huh. Songstress Kitsune 8+1 for teamwork stat = 9 "So it looks like we're a team?" Finn asked the girl who'd been nearest to him during the warm-up. "Hiya. Name's Finn. What do you say we get down to business?" "Business" was apparently code for, I can do exactly fourteen push ups, no more, and no less. "Okay," Finn said, getting up on his knees. "Your turn."

Bo (Teamwork) got a 2!When they finally stopped, Bo could feel his last beer rising up in his throat. He was dimly aware of Kaatje saying important things. Did she say his name? She might have. He wasn't sure. Because just as everyone else started to assume the position for push-ups, Bo ran to the nearest trashcan and assumed his own position: puking mightily into it. If that had been one of the work out events, he might have done better. Grabbing a cup for water, Bo swished and rinsed and swished and rinsed and swished and rinsed. He peeled his filthy t-shirt off. Yeah, it wasn't exactly warm out, sure, but he was overheated and drunk and lived a large portion of his life shirtless anyway. Somehow Bo was still fantastically tan and ab-laden. It was one of his ever-present strengths. But taking his shirt off was not an attempt to "bring out the guns." It was an attempt to "not pass out." Ever the team player, the tall blonde boy jogged back to the group, his shirt left beside the trashcan. "Sorry, I'm having a sympathetic pregnancy with a friend, and she must be having morning sickness," he said with an ease of silliness that did not match his moments ago puking. "We can do this!" he cheered to those around him. Falling to the ground, Bo attempted to do the push ups that he so frequently did when he played basketball, swimming all of it. He did one very, very, very slowly. His arms were trembling. On the second, Bo collapsed face first into the grass and muttered, "Cap'n, she's going down~" He'd get up again. Eventually. Just not for this event. Still -- TEAM PLAYER! He turned his head to the side and coached, "Go, you! You can do it!" kuroopu Again, sorry, for Bo. He's a mess. ------------------------------ Maggie (Constitution) for a 8!Maggie scooted right over to the water station immediately. She had brought her own water bottle (it matched too, she matched, EVERYTHING MUST MATCH) and filled it, downing it in quick sips. For all her intent to stay ~perfect~ in her appearance, sweat was already prickling her scalp, making some lightweight hairs begin to frizz. The young teen allowed her to be shuffled toward her partner, a girl identified as Paris. "Hi, I'm Maggie. I don't think we've met," she said, stifling the urge to ask the other girl 20 questions both about personal life and senshi life. "Ugh, push-ups," she muttered to herself, also to Paris a little. "I am used to doing the girl version..." With a shrug, Maggie flipped her ponytail backward and began pumping out push-ups. It took a few corrections on her form, but once she got going, Maggie found it relatively easy to push up her body weight. She made it all the way to 24 before her arms began to tremble and she came down on her knees. "That was a lot!" she said, grinning. "Maybe I am not an awful senshi after all?" The jury was still out.

Arias took her hand and gave it a firm shake. "Good to meet you, Kinley," he said, smile still on his face. When the next task was instructed, he retracted his hand almost sheepishly. His hair was long enough that the wind was blowing it in his face, and now that they had something a little more hands-on, he tied it in a low ponytail quickly while she did her pushups. He seemed impressed. "You know, I don't know if I can keep up with that," he laughed. "This is my first thing doing anything like this. Though, I'm looking forward to it, I think! It's nice to have something a little different."
And, speaking of different...
"You have an interesting accent, if you don't mind me saying. May I ask where you're from?"
After he asked, he shifted positions to lower himself on the ground as he began to do his own pushups. He wasn't bad at them, though he seemed content to proceed with them in a slow, steady pace.
[Estelle] 8D That sounds awesome! I look forward to it! <3 (and oops, sorry I am late to reply ;; )

When the call came for push ups, Orah wilted a little bit, sliding a glance at the other people around her. It was a pretty obvious way to start the day off, but that didn't make it any easier. At least she got a small break to go and drink something... taking to heart the advice to keep hydrated. She didn't personally know what happened if you got dehydrated, but she assumed it wasn't anything good.
When her partner was announced, Orah moved towards the girl named, offering her a warm smile and an offered hand in greeting.
"Hello! I'm Orah. Its really nice to meet you." She said, brushing her hands off on her capris. "Um... if you're ready we can do those push ups. I'm not sure how many I can do, but I'll try my best." A laugh broke from her as she gave some distance between them and got down on her hands and knees.
Straightening out her body into the proper form, Orah set to doing her pushups, though it was an efort to get through them. Her arms burned steadily more and more and finally she could do no more, sighing as she flopped down on her stomach. That had been a few more than ten... surprisingly. Still, her arms felt worn out from the effort as the young woman rolled herself onto her knees and sat back on them, shaking out her pony tail so it hung straight down her back.

Paris gains +1 for Teamwork, so she has a 3!
“Paris. Nice to meet you,” Paris said upon encountering her partner. Her tone of voice was somewhat distant as she took a few moments to examine the girl, determine whether or not she'd met her before, and make a rough estimate as to her age. She looked kind of young.
Paris had seen younger Senshi, of course.
She shrugged it off quickly and pulled her hoodie over her head to toss it off to the side and out of the way, revealing the bright turquoise tank top she wore over a hot pink sports bra. “I don't really think the amount of push-ups someone can do says much about how great of a Senshi they are,” she said.
The comment probably seemed a bit defensive soon after, once she'd only managed to do a few of them herself before her skinny arms couldn't support her weight anymore. Paris didn't look too frazzled when she hopped back up onto her feet again, though. She hadn't expected to excel in that area anyway.
“You been a Senshi long?” she asked, figuring showing interest and attempting to get to know the other girl was the appropriate thing to do under the circumstances. She hadn't come here with the intention of improving her combat skills, after all; she'd come to get to know her allies a little better.

"Nice to meet you," Maggie replied brightly, mimicking some of the post push-up stretching she saw another girl doing and eyeballing every male within sight for a few seconds too long. "It's so cool to be out with others. Like us." Pause. " You know." She even kind of winked. While Paris was doing push-ups, Maggie had taken out her iPhone, shot a quick photo of her tennis shoes, slapped a filter on it, and posted it to instagram: #swimsuitseasoniscoming. Whatever. She was a product of her generation. The girl was still polite enough to put it away when her partner finished. She didn't even bat an eye at the fact that Paris had done considerably less than her. Socializing was the main reason she had even decided to come to this event. The question of how long she had been in the senshi game was an easy enough one to answer. "I mean, I've definitely been around awhile," she said, puffing up before she had any idea that she was talking to an eternal senshi with 6 years of age on her. "But my mom had me move to California with my dad and stepdad for a little bit because the city was so dangerous. Superhero or not, I'm still a minor so there wasn't a lot I could do." It had been something she resisted at first, but being a Cal-i-for-nia girl had its own appeal. And since she'd been back, it wasn't like Maggie was SAVING LIVES on a daily basis or anything. She had the potential to be a great senshi, but it was hidden under a thick layer of the self-centeredness of adolescence. Maggie paid more attention to the details of Kim Kardashian's wedding planning than she did to the DC Nightly News. "Anyway, I guess it had been like a year, but I've only actually been going out as Superhero Me for maybe... three months or so?" That was with some rounding up. Taking another swig from her bottle, she turned the question back around: "What about you?" Sunshine Alouette Would Paris be wearing her wedding ring? It's the kind of thing Maggie would gawk over if she noticed it.

4 + 4 = 8 (two rounds)
Rhiannon wasn’t even sure how she ended up there. Someone mentioned it to her, she was sure. Or maybe she heard something about ‘senshi’ being whispered and eavesdropped enough to figure out the time and place. Whatever it was, there was one thing for certain — she had no idea who any of these people were. Nor was she all that willing to give away all of her secrets to people she just met.
She wasn’t a trusting type, and it took a lot to get her to not be suspicious of someone’s intentions. For now, it seemed as though she avoided having to properly sign in, although if she had to, it would be with just her first name, and if she had to put a senshi alias, it would be something like ‘snow queen’. Conveniently, she’d had the braided blonde hair over the shoulder look for years before the new Disney movie everyone was obsessed over came out.
This person… the young woman she’d been partnered with. She hadn’t seen her before. Or maybe she had? Rhiannon glanced over her with a curious expression before making a grimace and reluctantly doing some knee lifts.
She glanced towards her partner again she she heard her name and another, figuring this was the “Failyn” mentioned. Still, she didn’t say anything. There was nothing for her to say anyway. She did stay close to her partner though, even as they went to hydrate as instructed and then started with pushups, although keeping her hair off the ground was more priority than doing a good job with the exercise.

Paris could not suppress the amused smirk that twitched onto her face, though for the sake of not appearing as if she were poking fun at or patronizing the girl, she brought her hand to her face and disguised the reaction as a quick cough that blended into a forced yawn. Maggie's time spent in uniform was admittedly unimpressive, but then Paris had not exactly had the most auspicious of beginnings. She had no right to judge.
In any case, she thought it said something that Maggie had bothered to come here at all. Being a Senshi wasn't all about experience and dedication. It began with effort, and this was a better show of it than Paris could admit to demonstrating three months into her Senshi stint.
“Oh, it's only been about three years for me.”
Only.
It felt like longer.
“Maybe a little more. I don't know how to count the time before I actually awakened since I knew there was stuff going on, just didn't have any magic yet,” Paris said. “Wasn't all that great at it at first. Probably still not all that great, to be honest. I keep my head down, try to stay off the radar, mouth off every once in a while, but you've gotta keep things interesting, right? You get used to things after a while. This sort of stuff helps. Kinda starts to creep into your life, though. Like, half my friends are Senshi. And even the ones I didn't think were Senshi? Senshi. I swear, I think I've only got one normal friend out of the whole bunch, but knowing people makes it easier.”
She moved around as she spoke, unable or unwilling to remain still. She shifted in place, continued to stretch, did a few pliés, and when she wasn't doing that she was gesticulating with her hands, all friendly peppiness and wound up energy.Akina Tokuwa She very likely would be wearing her rings, yes!

[ Warmup (5) > Round 1 (4) ]
Fritz had gotten mildly distracted in the form of a telephone call from someone - but he'd long since tossed the phone aside, intending to bounce right back into the game and do his best to figure out how to become stronger, more physically fit.
Too bad it was easier said than done.
He clapped enthusiastically for his partner, who was unfamiliar to him, but it didn't make a difference, since Fritz was all for teamwork and doing well as it was. He rocked back and forth on his heels and shouted the usual encouragements, and then when Bo came back, he gave the man a grin and a thumbs up.

[ Round 1 ] 7-1: 6Colin had meant to arrive early - as was his custom - but some rather unfortunate circumstances had detained him and he ended up coming in late. He filled out the sheet, chewing his lip a little because he'd only ever told one person about his little alternate self...and that person hadn't been powered. But he had come to see what he could gain from this, so he decided to throw himself into it with a will. He was trusting these people with not only his life, but that of his family as well. And as trusting as he could be, this was still a stretch. Name: Colin Hargrove | Email: chargrove@gmail.com | Ph# xxx.xxx.7813 | JLCN: SilenceGood enough for government work, right? He looked past the table to where everyone was stretching - knee lifts. Ookay, that he could do. Quickly he found a place behind some boucey looking girls, noting a few faces that seemed crazily familiar - oh god oh god, Paris!?!? She was here!? Stoppit Colin, focus. Focus. He quickly caught up on the knee-lifts, he was feeling pretty good about it, though he was rushing some and lost a little of his usual form and grace.

[ 7 +1 (teamwork!): 8 ] The redhead - Kaatje her name was Kaatje - put them all through a work-out routine that rivaled the one(s) he used when he was going to be dancing; it was nice to stretch out and get his blood pumping - so nice he almost forgot to be freaked (or was it excited? maybe a little sad?) that Paris was there too. He jogged slowly over to get a drink when Kaatje sent them to rehydrate, but kept moving even while he was drinking - it was bad to just stop when you had your heart rate up like that, he would slow it down in steps first. Colin was introduced to Angel and he smiled, offering her a hand. "Hey, sorry I was late. Since I was late, how about I start and you count?" Not because he was a guy so he should go first, but because he wanted to get the damned things over with and because he deserved some 'penance' for being late. Well, that, and he was a high-energy sort with a frame that suggested he did this sort of thing quite often. The curly-haired blond dropped down and he settled into the perfect form that Kaatje had been aiming for; with Angel counting Colin went through the push-ups like they were no big thing, stopping to rest at 23 with his arms locked so he could wink at Angel, sweat plastering his hair against his scalp. Colin managed to do a bit more, just enough to set the muscles in his arms to burning beautifully before he stopped. "Okay...let's get you going Angel. Just remember - do what you can the right way, that's all you need to do." Despite what Kaatje said about quantity, he knew that being supportive was important - as was completing the exercise in the proper manner. He took a moment to pull one of those sports-style headbands from off his wrist and used it to hold his hair away from his face while she got into position - once she was ready, he'd not only count for Angel, but give her encouragement the whole flipping way.

When Orah approached Luca, she gave her an odd look. This girl was familiar, somehow... "Orah, right? Are you in Meadowview's choir, by any chance?" It was a shot in the dark, but since that was Luca's primary extracurricular activity, it was likely that was where she recognized the other girl from. Anyway, she accepted Orah's handshake, and watched her do her pushups. "Not bad! My turn now," she said as she got into position. [Rolling! +3 due to Strength. Luca's score for this round is 6 + 3 = 9.] Luca didn't do too bad herself. She was actually quite a strong girl despite her looks. She did her pushups with aplomb, managing a good deal more in a minute than Orah had. When she finished, she adjusted herself into a sitting position and took a deep breath. "Whew! I can totally feel the burn! This is great."

The brunette stared blankly (and awkwardly) as Paris explained her senshi career. She was saying lots of interesting things, but Maggie was hung up on the first: three years? Unlike Paris, Maggie did little to hide her reaction. "Three years?" she half-said/half-shouted, mouth falling comically agape. "Oh my god, you must be a leader or something. Three years ago, Miley Cyrus was famous for being in Hannah Montana. Three years ago, Instagram didn't have video capabilities. Three years ago I didn't even have a period!" Which she totally did now. Because she was mature. And hadn't had one long enough to be annoyed by it. She was a budding woman, goddamnit. In a flash, Maggie switched gears without warning. She caught a glint of something sparkly on Paris' hand. The other girl was moving around, but Maggie quickly tailed her and did her best to grab a hold of her hand. "Oh my god, AND you're MARRIED? You're like an adult. How old are you?" For someone who socialized with people predominantly her own age (and acted superior to them), Maggie quickly crumbled in the face of actual maturity.
