xxxxxDdendyl smiled as a soft blush came across her face. "Thank ya' kindly. Uhm, can you get the glass shards from my room though? I was in a hurry to see the doctor.." She chuckled nervously as she opened her door and limped towards her bed. Grabbing onto her teddy bear tightly and sighing when she stared at it. It was like she was completely in a daze. 'Ethan..'

xxxxxDdendyl quickly shook her head realizing she was allowing her thoughts to get to her. Her emerald eyes looked at Sven whom was at her door. She gently pushed her black hair behind her ear as she forced a greeting smile. Her smile was simply the disguise because the truth of her pain was in the teddy bear alone. It was being squeezed tightly in her hand. No one but Brenda knew her pain. Brenda is no longer with her. So now she has to deal with it on her own.

//ooc// ... Wondering if there's a way that Sven can be the one to figure her out. In a way, I dunno. Kek.

> > > Sven laughed at her reaction and helped her through her room, making sure to avoid the glass shards on the way through. "Erm, yeh. I kin clear the glass." He said, and grabbed a broom. After he swept all the glass into a dustpan, he put it in a bag for giving to the doctor as use for one of his crazy bombs that he'd shown to a few members of the crew. "So tell me a li'l 'bout cherself." He said, looking at her from his spot leaning from the doorway. When she smiled at him, he raised an eyebrow. " 'Ey Dee, y'all there righ' now?" He asked, a look of concern spreading across Sven's overly-expressive face. "Ya was kinda givin' me the thousand-yahd stay (stare) jus' now. It's creepin' me out a bit." He said, and stepped back into her room and place his hand on her shoulder. "Ya doin' a'right?"

[[ OCC: Maybe. Sven has a way of speaking everything that comes to his mind, and for saying crazy things that happen to be true. ]]

xxxxx"Oh, sorry. I just.. I stare and smile sometimes just to hide what I'm feeling." She sighed and handed the teddy bear to Sven. "That teddy bear used to belong to my little boy." A weak smile appeared on her face. It pained her to say it but she couldn't hide these feelings within herself any longer. She needed to let someone in and Sven was closest one there. She needed to get this off her shoulder.

xxxxx"I used to be a wife. And a mother." Ddendyl bit down on her bottom lip a bit as she looked up at Sven waiting for his reaction. He probably was not expecting this to come out from her. "They both left my life cause of a fire..." Ddendyl lifted only a bit of her shirt to reveal burn marks on her left side. "I've been marked since that day." She slowly lowered her shirt. Her hands began to shake slightly as she realized how much she had just opened up to Sven. Someone she barely saw on the ship. Her face quickly turned to a deep shade of pink as she looked down at her hands awaiting his response.

The isle of Saundarya was unlike anything the crew of the Seeker had ever seen.
It was lush with deep vibrant green jungles. And even more curious enough, it was habited.
The Seeker pulled into port and carefully landed.
Plumes of colorful smoke curled up from the thatched huts of the village. Violets, oranges and reds all rose up through the air.
As if making their own permanent sunset.

The Captain had led the way down the ramp, her brother close behind followed by a few men. Several villagers had come out of their huts to greet them. And they were just as equally breathtaking.
Deep olive skinned with hair so black it was like night sky. But their bright blue eyes was what unease Elyria. Every villager had the same blue eyes that seemed to bore into you and look into your soul, like a book for them to flip through the pages.
Pip had concurred that these habitants were most likely the descendants of the people who once lived in India many centuries ago.
An older woman in a deep blue sari approached first. Her eyes twinkled with warmth and her smile was just as friendly.
She must have been the village shaman.

"Welcome to our home, I am Seema." She gives a little polite bow. "We do not get travelers often, your visit is a rare treat. You are invited into our village, please come. Come!" Her henna tattooed hands open up as the villagers cheer excitedly.
Their hospitality was wonderful, and it was mostly due to the excitement of possible trade with whatever the crew had on the ship. But that would be discussed later apparently as a few women swarmed the Captain. Giggling as they tittered and looped their arms through hers, their golden bangles on their arms tinkling as they walked while the others got ahold of Dee and Daneria, half dragging the only three women away from the men.

Then there was suddenly a little bit of chaos.

The entire village was an eruption of celebration, flower necklaces were tossed over heads, village men were dancing and shouting, and the Captain was freaking out.
Elyria did not take this separation lightly at all, she tried to wriggle herself free. Wrenching her arms free of the girls grasp she pushed through the mass, "Whoa whoa- thats quite alright I'll just stick with the rest of them." She half laughed a bit nervously, grabbing on tightly to Sheik's coat as to not be split again. But Seema would have none of it.

The woman put her hands firmly on her hips. No no bacca, the women celebrate differently from the men. Come." She slinked a wrinkly arm around Elyria's waist and pulled her away. "There is much to see, and what you will witness is only for the eyes of a woman." she smiled.
Elyria looked back longingly at the crew who was now being led away to another part of the village to do whatever else. And really she would rather be with them over there. Zephyr managed to break away to walk briskly alongside his sister.

"Don't worry Ria, just respect their customs and have a little fun." He left a slobbery kiss on her cheek and jogged back to join the others, leaving his sister to whine a horrid and disgusted noise while she wiped away at her face.

The men had gathered to the main center of the village. A giant bonfire was blazing high as they were offered seats on the benches. Offerings of wine and snuff was given. And would be frowned upon if not taken with gratitude.
Zephyr sat next to Sheik. Drinking his wine out of a turtle shell as a pipe was offered to him. He took a long drag and blew out thin blue smoke that made his eyes water.
"Holy s**t." He coughed, passing the pipe to Sheik. "That's some good stuff."
John had taken a spot next to a few villagers, laughing loudly. The smoke had are him fairly giddy since his big chest demanded a lot to fill.
Pip was sitting quietly with some village elders, listening intently to their stories as he jotted down notes in his journal, enjoying generous puffs of smoke.

Meanwhile, the ladies had been ushered to what looked like a temple. It was beautiful, carved of what looked like silver and white marble. Violet smoke danced around the ceiling and incense burned everywhere, smelling of roses and other herbs that attacked Elyria's nose.
Seema was explaining that the women would have to be prepared before further entrance into their temple.
The village women set about decorating the trios arms with henna, and each women was given a sari to wear. Which the Captain made a show of protesting. But was ultimately forced to be stuffed inside the fine silk. Even though she insisted on keeping her trousers on underneath.
She was a vision of loveliness. The deep crimson of the sari brought out her red lips and amber eyes.
Seema lifted Elyria's chin up with two fingers and smiled. "Ah, yes. Beautiful. A true daughter of the Moon Mother." she cocked her tan head to the Captain. "Your daughter will no doubt take after you."

Elyria's brow rose in confusion. "M..my daughter?"

"Yes bacca, it was foretold by the Mother, I could sense it when you stepped foot on our isle. You will have a lovely daughter. Strong willed too, just like you." She laughed. Elyria couldn't help but look down at her belly, it amazed and confused her that the woman foretold that. Would the child really be a girl?
Only time would tell of course.

~Sven Moscow~

> > > Sven looked at her, saddened for a moment. "Damn. I ain' got nuthin' ta say." He responded, putting his hand on her shoulder. "I lost my mutha the moment I 'uz born. But I don' think it compays ta that." He said, and pulled her into a small, awkward hug, which he quickly got out of and turned away, used to being smacked with something hard after that and not wanting to see it come.

They had hit land. Sven was one of the first off of the ship behind Elyria. He had his wrench and a gigantic dopey grin. "Land, glorious land. I missed ya so much, duht. (dirt)" He said, scuffing his boots on the ground. " 'N pebbles, 'n no motion sickness 's a plus too, eh?" He said, laying down and rolling around. He got up quickly and followed behind Zephyr.

He took the snuff and put it in his cheek as he was accustomed to doing. It burned for a moment, as he hadn't used chewing tobacco in some time. He laughed and drank and spat out tobacco juice as necessary. He started talking to some of the villagers, telling them a dirty joke, hearing the group laugh at his perverse humor. He spat out some more tobacco juice and took a hefty swig of wine out of a tortoise shell, throwing his arms up and whooping in celebration. He received a pipe and put it to his lips, puffing the smoke into his mouth and then inhaling it.

However, that wasn't tobacco in the pipe, but a powerful hallucinogen, which brought him visions of psychedelia like he'd never seen before, as he'd never had access to it before, and drugs of that nature were banned in Ft. Granger. "Whooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaa. Pretty cullas..." He said, and passed it along, spitting out the whole of his snuff and falling backwards.

Daneria smiled with they hit land, the boat coming to a stop, thank god, the swaying was driving her mad lately. She headed down to the lower deck, her head turning to see the doctor cleaning up, and tilted her head. The smell of blood was strong, and so was the scent of the antiseptic he had been using. She wrinkled her nose and huffed to herself, her large ears flattening to her head. "Mmm, land." She smirked and turned, heading into her room she loaded herself up like always, her hatchet under her left arm was the last thing to fall into place before she closed her door behind her and headed up to the upper deck, knowing Madrid was right behind her.

She looked down at the land before her, her tail swaying happily, the sea would always be her home, but land was the lover she cheated on it with. She looked up to see the villagers, her eyes scanning each face as they circled around them. She backed up against Zachary's side when the women neared her, one reaching for her arm she grabbed a hold of Zachary's arm in response. Growling when they pulled at her, the women just smiled and yanked her from his side, her ears down and flat against her hair. She looked back at Zachary, a discouraged look on her face said her own opinion on the matter. She watched Elyria struggle a bit too, feeling the same way...she really didn't like separating from the group. The Ka' huffed loudly as they swooped the three away, and into the large temple, which was eyeballed carefully.

When they spread henna designs all over her, she sure fought her weapons being stripped as well as her clothing. Hissing loudly when a woman pulled at her ears or tail in curiosity, blushing at the pull of her long whipping ligament it wasn't a good feeling but she knew better than most the base of her tail was extra sensitive with the nerve endings that connected her spine with her tail. They dotted around her tattoos and even made light swirls on the inside of her tiger stripes. They were subtle but reflected in the light inside the temple. When she was draped in the crimson sari she pulled it around her with a pink hue on her cheeks. She wasn't shy about her body...but there were so many eyes on them that it only made her bashful.

She looked forward at Elyria when Seema spoke..and then spoke of Elyra's 'daughter' being a vision of her mother. Her eyes widened when they called out the pregnancy, but only smiled softly, looking up at Elyria she chuckled lightly. "And undoubtedly, just as stubborn." She whispered to the Captain, pushing her elbow against her arm to nudge her softly. She grinned wide enough to show her fangs, noticing how some of the women leaned in to look at them. They really didn't get that many visitors huh? Maybe they had never seen a Ka' before, or at least one that looked like her of a pure white hair color.

(Azure wanted me to post for him again..and I'm at work again sorry guys)

Sheik had carefully unraveled Elyria's tight fingers from his coat, brow raised in amusement. "It's alright lass just go with the girls, I wont be too far off." She gave a slight nod, looking back when Seema had stole her away. He was rather impressed by this different culture and how warm and inviting these villagers were, even though they were so far cast off from the rest of the world.

He had laughed at Zephyr's slight misfortune, watching as tears stung at the young man's eyes from the smoke. He took the pipe and took a few good puffs himself, blowing out in smoke rings.
A few small children had gathered around, staring at his fair hair and sunned skin. True he was a bit paler then Zeph but years of sunlight had given him a soft tan.
He chuckled as they muttered to each other in gibberish. He beckoned them over to sit down in the dirt around him. "Come here and sit a spell, how's about a story of the great Captain Sheik?"

At the opportunity for a new story the children's faces beamed as they quickly sat down, backs warm from the fire as they leaned in, eager to hear what this foreign man had to say.
At the mention of a "Great" captain Sheik Zephyr snorted out his nose and began to chuckle. "Great my a**.." He muttered, only to receive a quick kick in the shin by Tristan.
Sheik had cleared his throat and smiled down at the small group of children, their blue eyes bright with wonder. With another puff of smoke he exhaled and spoke; "There is a man who roams these skies, his adventures are known far and wide and carry on the winds from isle to isle.."
The children smile at one another and shuffle to get more comfortable. He continues, "He is smart, and cunning. A good hand with a blade. One day though, he found a treasure so beautiful it captured his heart and he made a vow that he had to have it for himself."

"What was it?" a little girl asked, gripping her cloth doll close.

"Why, the treasure was a maiden fair, little lass." He winked.

The children giggled and he smirked. "She was a strong woman, and could easily take down a man twice her size! Captain Sheik had to make her his. And so he did, he won the love of the woman and they sailed together long and far." His expression seemed distant and a small smile played on his lips.
"Anyways Captain Sheik became Captain of the Fantasia, and was attacked by vicious men!" He blew smoke out of his nose making the kids laugh.

"But he got away, escaped and found another ship to call home. Now it's said he's looking for a grand treasure. So grand in power it could make anyones wish come true!"
The children's eyes were wide with awe, they couldn't fathom anything bigger then their home island. He hadn't noticed Elyria approach from behind.
Smiling at him and the surrounding kids.

"Sheik." She called, waving him over. Wanting to tell him the last shard was inside the women's temple and the Captain was planning on taking it. The children gasped and tittered to each other, realizing that HE was in fact the Captain Sheik spoken of in his story.

Please sit still...

Zachary stood a ways away from the group, leaning against a tree. He was looking away from the powwow, towards where the women had gone. He felt a cold breeze blow past him. He sighed and tensed his hand into a fist. He had a bad feeling, and he didn't know how to place it. He turned to tell the group that he was going back to the ship just to see a hand with a tobacco pipe clasped firmly in it. One of the natives was holding it, and Zachary's eyes widened slightly. "Uh... I'm sorry, I cannot." He said, closing his eyes and making a slight nod of respect. Then he reopened his eyes, the man was not there anymore. He had walked away and was now talking to another native. The original one was pointing towards Zachary and appeared to be very insulted. Zachary could see that he'd made a mistake. He could try to go back to the ship, but that would put the other men in danger. He didn't want that. He gulped hard and watched as the two men walked over to him. "Why do you insult us so?" The second man said, and looked at Zachary. He was worried, but not for himself at this point. He was worried for everyone else's sake right now, mostly Daneria's. If he angered these men right now, he could cause a real ruckus. "I vowed to myself long ago that I would not partake in smoking. I cannot break a promise made to myself." He said, closing his eyes and sighing. "If this is insulting to you, I apologize. But my word is my most important thing I have." He said, noticing that the mechanic, who had previously been passed out had gotten up and was back to making a giant fool of himself. "The short one is partying more than enough to make up for my abstinence." He finished, and watched the two men look at each other. One started doing a strange motion, and Zachary looked at him, an eyebrow raising in confusion. That was the response they were hoping for, as the other one had hit him over the head with a shell that was holding some of the wine, knocking him out. He re-awoke only moments later, finding himself tied upside-down over the fire that was burning in the center. He cried out in fear, closing his eyes as an ember floated up towards his face. He blew it away and opened his eyes again, looking around, to see the faces of his comrades. Most were terrified or sorrowful, the mechanic looked angered, and the quartermaster was wearing a sadistic smirk. He always had harbored feelings of anger and hatred towards the doctor.

[[OCC: I'm taking initiative to create some sort of conflict. If I'm overstepping my boundaries, then oh well. I'm tired of simply feeling like I'm simply reacting to the plot and not actually contributing. So yeah. ******** THE POLICE!]]

Zephyr was grinning from ear to ear, watching as the Doctor roasted like a pig on a stick. This just kept getting better and better..
As the Doctor had refused their customs in the celebration of their Moon Goddess and did not drink her blood wine, they were planning on sacrificing him to her instead.
He chuckled, taking another gulp from the turtle shell and swished it around in his mouth before swallowing.

"Idiot." He mumbled with a shake of his head. Not exactly planning on risking his neck to save the Doctor.

Elyria had left and hurried to the temple. Listening as the women fretted over Daneria. One young lady had furrowed her dark brow, staring intently at the Ka's belly. She patted her stomach and looked up at her smiling, "How far along are you?"

Pregnant..

Pregnant?!

She was expecting a baby TOO?!?

The Captain's amber eyes grew wide, she was about to congratulate Daneria but more women swarmed her, saying she needed to appeal to the Moon Mother for a healthy birth and motherhood. Before she could sneak away Seema was at her side once more.

"Come now, it is time. You and your friends must show yourselves to the Moon's light so that our Mother can look down upon you."

Elyria's nose wrinkled in protest. She had no interest in this but could not afford to displease these holy women.
The women had gathered now with incense in their hands, walking quietly down the hall to the main altar.
It was a beautiful pale carved statue of a naked woman, a single long cloth draped around her white flesh. Arms outstretched to rain down flower petals on those below her.
She was so lovely it was breathtaking.
Silver light flooded the blue room from the open ceiling above, letting the moon shine down on them.
Forced down on her knees, the Captain looked up to the Mother and caught her breath in her throat.

Around the statues neck was the last shard.

She knew it was here, but had to figure out a way to get it.

Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes, to please Seema and the others. Wishing for a healthy birth for her child.
It was serene, this place. Elyria almost felt relaxed even.

But that would be short lived.

Rumble...

Her eyes opened, the ground was shaking beneath her.
The women looked around confused, no one knew what was going on. Living on s floating island, earthquakes were a thing of the past. So they couldn't understand what this threat could be.
A horrid scream from a lady, redcoats burst through the temple. Swords and rifles at the ready. Elyria quickly jumped up to her feet and made a run for the statue, climbing up its legs so she could snatch the last shard.
A bullet whizzed by her head, making the Captain flinch.

The women were in a panic to get out, screaming and running for their lives as the soldiers tried to cut them down.

"Daneria protect the women!" She shouted, jumping off the side of the statue and ripping the sari off. The Captain got on her coat with sword in hand.

The whole village was under attack.

Elyria's blade sliced through the belly of a redcoat, ignoring his death gurgle she stalked on, parrying any further attack from the soldiers who chose to fight her.
Pip had gathered the village children and ushered them into the safety of the forests brush, Bracken barking angrily. They would protect them there.
Everything was a flurry of chaos.
Pirates fought off the Reds while the villagers tried to defend themselves. Unarmed, the poor people were easy targets.
The Captain was preoccupied with taking down as many she could in an attempt to save the villagers lives.

Daneria's smile lingered on Elyria as the women gossiped inside the temple, only to look over at a woman rushing over to her. She was...looking at her gut? Daneria looked down at herself in confusion, her ears flicking when she was asked the question of far along SHE was...Daneria's eyes widened and she looked up once more, "No, no not me...The captain is...I'm not." She said with a joking tone before the woman shook her head and pressed her hand to the Ka's lower abdomen where her uterus would sit,
"You carry a baby boy," The woman whispered, which made Daneria step back slightly in recoil, "He makes you quite sick doesn't he?" The woman asked her with a smile, Dani's ears and shoulders dropping when she had realized it had been about a month, she was suppose to start a few days ago..."B-but." She pressed her own hand to her abdomen and furrowed her eyebrows, she wasn't even sure that breeding between human and Ka' was possible...
Daneria flared her nostrils in realization and her shoulders dropped..Zachary...was the father of her first child. Dani felt herself get a little lightheaded and pressed her palm to her forehead, "Relax darling, the moon will bless you," Another whispered to her, which only confused the Ka' more, the moon made be traditional to to their village, but why would the moon care about her pregnancy?
Dani's eyes snapped to the ground when it shook, only to look at Elyria and Dee, her nostrils. Watching the cloaked figures appear out of no where, she calmed her body, let her mind relax before her signature mad smile spread across her face. "Aye Captain." She said softly and took her daggers from her thighs, aiming at two of the figures she stuck them in the throat, gurgling on their own blood she watched them fall. "Out of the way ladies." She called as she rushed through the group of them, lifting her arms up and grabbing her swords, their silver clanging together in perfect harmony. She stuck another two like pigs to her blade.
Smirking she counted the rest, three.
Three pigs in her way..and bacon sounded remarkably good.

She cut them down with ease, blood had splattered on her robe and her face, looking behind her she ushered for the women to go. She retrieved her daggers from the first two and tilted her head, a pang of pain running through her. Looking over her she noticed cut going across her hip bone, "Ow," She whispered and pressed her palm to it, only to have her eyes rush to her abdomen, lifting her shift she examined her skin...good no cuts there. Sighing in relief she walked out of the temple....her eyes widening when she saw the doctor tied like a wee squealer himself! She shook her head, and rushed over to his side, but not before she gave Zephyr a swift punch to the arm. "Couldn't help him?" She asked, baring her fangs in anger at the quartermaster. She leaned over the doctor, finding a foreign blade to her throat, is was one of the villagers. She released the doctor with one of her daggers and stood up slowly, "Kill me, and you're killing double." She said "And around here I've noticed you like children." She growled, her fangs glimmering at the man, his eyes going to her abdomen, "Uh huh." She nodded to his suspicion and growled once more, "And you kill this man, you take a man from his own child." She said and looked over to the temple, "Seems you have larger issues anyways." She said softly, nodding to he figures with drawn blades.

She sighed when the man ran off, her eyes shifting to Sheik. "Elyria needs you! We're under attack!" She pushed him towards the temple before leaning down and helping the doctor up onto his feet. She furrowed her eyebrows and swallowed hard. "I'll explain....later?" She said and gave him a bashful smile. She then bounced away from him and armed herself once more, meeting another figure head on she raised an eyebrow and gasped when he went to thrust for her stomach. Quickly twirling her weight to her advantage she dodged the blow, only to meet his blade once more when he cut open her left shoulder. Dropping her left blade she growled, and stuck her right blade into the skull of the man.

Please sit still...

Zachary yelped as he was cut down from where he was hanging, landing in the fire beneath him, putting it out beneath him. He rolled over and stood up shakily, his head bleeding from where he'd hit a rock on his fall. He gave a quick glare to Zephyr and got out one of his coveted grenades. He decided to wait until after the fight to talk to Daneria about what she'd said just a moment before. He saw the mechanic running in the direction of the temple, wrench in hand. That man never seemed to let go of the tool. Zachary started to run up to the temple next, easily passing the short mechanic and many of the other crew members who were running that way too. Zachary saw a squad attempting to flank them and threw a grenade over at them, watching the jar land at their feet and blow them to parts below the belt. He then got his incendiary ready, looking around. He was looking for some faraway soldiers that were clustered.

His fast stride landed him in the temple before anyone else, and he threw the incendiary at the few soldiers still left at the door, effectively sealing everyone inside until it died, the flaming oil covering the stone floor at the entrance. Zachary didn't know if anyone was still inside, but he figured that them staying in was the best idea until the fighting had stopped outside. Then, without warning, a soldier charged at him, swinging the blade down, hoping to catch the doctor's head with it.

CLANK!

The mechanic was standing in front, having caught the soldier's sword in his wrench. The mechanic then kicked in the man's leg so that the knee shattered and the man crumpled. Zachary rushed forward and grabbed the sword carefully before it could fall on the mechanic. He then used to run the man through as the mechanic moved to block another attack that was coming from behind them. Zachary held the sword like a novice and he was well aware that he wasn't trained with one. And where he was just 3 months prior a man who couldn't stomach a single kill, he was now willing to kill these men to protect himself and Daneria. He ducked a gunshot, hearing the mechanic cry out in pain. He spun around and slashed the man the mechanic was defending himself against, his sword slicing his gut open horizontally, and dragged the mechanic into the temple, whose entrance was no longer on fire. The mechanic had only been shot in the leg, so he wasn't in any immediate danger of dying. Zachary then stood up, holding his stolen sword at the ready. The temple had been cleared except for a few villagers, most of them dead and the others cowering in fear, and a few soldiers, all dead by Elyria and Daneria's blades. He nodded to the villagers and grabbed his sword. "Help this man in any way you can. I need to fight to protect my captain." He said, and began to rush back over to the fight, holding the sword awkwardly. Maybe he should have taken Daneria's training. He would be sure to say as much when they were back on the ship. He got to the combat quickly, stabbing an unaware soldier through from behind, joining the fray. He had gotten a bit more confidence in his combat ability from his little army-of-two situation with the mechanic. He was able to take down a good five more before he joined back up with the Captain. His face, his clothes, his hands... all were soaked in blood. He didn't look like the good doctor much anymore, he was holding himself differently, and moving much differently. He was swinging the sword like his kin swung a pickaxe. He was dodging blades and bullets like his kin dodged falling rocks. He was acting like a true Brightonian, for once in his life.

[[OCC: So if Madrid is the Astronomer And Daneria is the captain in terms of similarities to Treasure Planet characters, is Sven the Cyborg? Is Sheik Mr. Arrow?]]

...This will only hurt for a moment.

~ ((We may have a Mr Arrow among us and we don't even know it. That would also make pip the robot XD))

Sheik heard his name and walked to the origin with as much pride as he could to show off to the little tikes. He could hear their gasps and squees of glee as he walked away triumphantly. He was brought to a bond fire where he found Zephyr and the good doctor warming by the fire. One of them was rather toasty really but that's besides the point. They sat by the fire listening to stories from the village people and enjoying some of the smokey aroma. The stories went on and on as the village leaders slowly turned their newest catch on the rotisserie. Zeph and Sheik were having quite the laugh as they understood these kinds of situations a lot more.

"Enjoying the company of your host is an important thing Madrid, you'd do well to remember that" He chuckled as he inhaled a slow soft amount of smoke exhaling it just as slowly. He could see the children peaking over some tanning racks to get a closer look at the men and their chit chat.

"You two strong men?" One of the leaders asked with his fist to his heart. He tilted his head slightly as the two pirates hesitated.

Sheik looked at Zephyr and nodded with a smile "Aye, we are strong men. But not of brawn, of heart." He put his fist to his chest as well.

The old man nodded and opened his arms with a big smile, "Strong heart make strong man stronger!" He laughed with all his might as the other villagers joined in to laugh with him.

Sheik was about to join in on the merry understanding when suddenly a canon ball landed near the camp fire and sent dirt everywhere. All who were communed quickly fell back from the impact of the explosion. Screams could be heard but it did not seem as anyone had gotten hurt. The men got to their feet and began to run towards more canon fire when they were suddenly stopped by the sight of 2 ships worth of red coats rushing past the beaches. Zephyr and Sheik drew arms within milliseconds as they stood guard for the villagers to evacuate safely. The doctor being forced to lay still for the first few waves of redcoats.

Zephyr and Sheik made quick work of the first four or so redcoats but were quickly getting overrun and slowly pushed back. There was simply too many of them to handle in such an open area. "Zeph we need to get the children to safety!" He parried an upward slice by holding his cutlass down and headbutting the soldier square in the nose. "We brought this problem to them we'll have to make sure they don't get caught in the crossfire!"

John had now joined them in the fray as they fought around the fire leaving bodies left and right. John didn't do much fighting rather he was just shoving people around leaving them vulnerable for the other two to handle.

"What about Elyria?!" Zeph screamed as he dealt with a red coat.

"Damnit!" Sheik cursed under his breath, thinking of what to do.

"I'll go get her! I'm not doing much here anyways!" John exclaimed as he ran off into the jungle without consent.

Sheik looked over at Zephyr and nodded his head in the same direction signaling him to follow behind. "I'll take care of this here."

Canon fire quickly eradicated the villager's settlements with splinters flying into the air. Three redcoats now drew nearer towards the campfire and they looked ready for war. These three in particular were armed to the teeth and clearly trained by the looks of their posture. Sheik raised his blade and drew the blade from the previous soldier's stomach as he assumed his own battle stance. One rushed head in on him with his blade as the other two circled around the sides. The first going in for a stab was easy to deflect with his two swords pushing the blade upwards past his shoulder. He allowed his opponent to keep his forward momentum quickly kicking him over him by rolling backwards into a burning huts wall bringing it down on him. His backward momentum allowed him to continue his roll which brought him to his feet. allowing him to be ready for the next two which attacked simultaneously. He took a quick dive towards the one at his left swiping at his feet forcing him back. He kept his rotation going and knocked the other soldier away with a strong power attack to his sword. He continued the rotation spinning on one foot, now turning towards the first soldier and throwing his sword at him managing to pin him onto a wall from another hut that had managed to hold the canon fire. He turned around and dodged a slice from his only opponent left that had managed to unarm him of his cutlass. He took a quick sprint towards the pinned soldier with the other sprinting behind him. When he got to the soldier leaped upward and used the soldiers chest as a spring board to jump over the chasing soldier who had now sliced at his own man killing him.

Adrenalin coursed through him as he suddenly felt a quick push at his ribs. He looked to his side and saw the very first soldier standing from the rubble with a gun out, smoke already escaping from the barrel as he felt its bullet pushing into his rib. He fell to a knee, watching as the second soldier redrew his blade from his comrade and turned to him. Sheik could do nothing but watch as he inched closer, everything felt slow, cold, drowsy. The soldier put his blade to Sheiks neck and drew back to finish him in one swing.

Sheik tackled the soldier in the middle of his swing pinning his arms down as he bludgeoned his face with his numb fists until blood leaked from every orifice. His drowsy sight now drifting to the final soldier who was now reloading his pistol in a hurry. Sheik forced himself into a dead sprint at him passing by the first body and pulling the sword from it with ease. His adrenalin was soon to run out but it numbed him from pain allowing him to use his full strength for all tasks. His sprint was intense as he saw the frightened soldier lifting his arm up with his double barreled pistol taking his first shot. It drove itself through Sheik's leg, though he ignored the pain. Or more so didn't even notice it. He felt the push of the bullets force but that only made him stumble slightly before continuing his sprint. Yelling at the top of his lungs he ran with all his might watching as the man began to pull the trigger once more. He drove his sword into the man's heart as his strength gave way to one more shot from his pistol finding its place in Sheik's stomach.

His eyesight had now gone completely only seeing shades of purples and blacks as he felt himself falling to his knees. His breathing was difficult from choking on his own blood. He fell to his hands, trying his hardest to hold himself up. Had his day come..? Was this the end for him? He fell to his side lying on the floor cold and alone.

Elyria had just cut through the abdomen of a soldier, flipping him over her cutlass. She was a fierce fighter, angered by the sudden onslaught of the innocent villagers.
A great roar echoed through the burning village, the Captain turned to see John charging forward. He had come to aid.
But her smile wavered.

He was charging at her.

She barely had enough time to block his attack with her blade, the sheer force of the large man sending her skidding back. "John! what are you doing?! It's me!" said the Captain as she twisted her body out of the way of the blades slice.

"Sorry lassie, nothing personal. You did this to yerself what with that bounty on your head!" He replied with a nasty sneer, trying to trip the woman as she evaded another swing.
Elyria stopped only for a second, her brow creased in confusion. "My bounty?"

"Aye, don't pretend like you don't know how much is on yer head. An old man like me could be set up for the rest of his days with that much gold!" This time he managed to cut her arm, hissing in pain as the blood leaked out. John bellowed a laugh, twirling his large sword in his hand like it weighed nothing less then a feather.
"I feel bad lassie, honestly I do. What with your Pop and all, you couldn't have just married some hotheaded silversmith, no you just HAD to follow in his footsteps didn't you?!" He lashed out again, quicker this time.
Knocking his weight into Elyria she fell to the dusty ground. Everything became slow, she saw the burning greed in his eyes, the way his arm twisted over his head, to bring down the blade hard upon her. She couldn't move, there was no time. Closing her eyes tight she awaited the soon to be pained feel of metal slicing through bone and flesh.

But it never came.

Her eyes snapped open at the sound of metal clashing against metal. Zephyr was standing over his sister, holding his own sword with both hands. He growled, spinning the blade around John's before it came up again and cut his hand, sending the big man a few steps back as he held his bleeding palm gingerly.
Zephyr stalked forward, knuckles white around the hilt. "You were the one who told these blasted Reds we were here, weren't you?!"

John only laughed, giving the young man a slight bow of the head. "Well Zeph my boy, you are smarter then you look. Aye, it was me. Had a locator on me the whole time so they could track yer whereabouts. You two were just too bloody trusting to see!"
He hit with an uppercut but Zephyr sidestepped and blocked, pushing the man back.
The two circled each other like starving wolves, waiting for the other to make the first mistake.

"Ria, leave this backstabbing coward to me. He's mine. Go help Sheik, now hurry!" He commanded, eyes burning with such a deadly heat it was like staring into molten iron. Elyria did what her older brother commanded and ran through the brush turning back only once to see Zeph swing his blade. Calling out the Navigator's name, she pushed through the panic of people.
Turning in a full circle in the hopes of spotting the man. Her throat ached from the burning smoke and ash. Coughing she got down on her knees to breathe better.
That's when she saw him.

Not far off, near what looked like the village longhouse. "Tristan!"

He didn't budge. Scrambling on her hands and feet she ran to his side, rolling him over. Her eyes fell down on the bloody spots swelling through his shirt. "No. No! Don't do this, come on stay with me." her hand smacked his cheek, but his eyes wouldn't even flutter. He was growing cold, even in this intense heat from the surrounding blazing fires.
Her palms pressed down on his chest and she applied force again and again, to try and get a breath out of him. Anything.
Panic was setting in, gritting her teeth in anger Elyria tossed his arm over her shoulder and lifted him up off the dirt.

"Damn you Tristan Sheik, you had better wake up now!" She hoisted him up and half dragged him away towards the safety of the jungle. "I will not raise this baby on my own!" She winced under his weight. Pip had waved her over to his spot with the village children. Helping her lay Sheik down hidden among the brush.

Daneria's backed away from the slumped over figures in front of her, smirking over their corpses, she dropped down, picking up her left blade and sticking it into its holder on her spine. She leaned over a corpse and ripped away a good sized chunck of one of the red coats. She took the fabric and wrapped it under her armpit and over her shoulder, putting pressure on her shoulder she tied the cloth tight and growled softly at the ache. She rose back to her feet, her tail swaying as she looked over the chaos, her vision was moving slow, but the screams of the villagers were what she really heard. She listened to a blade go through the flesh of a human, a cry out in pain just after. She shook her head at the slaughter, but slowly she noticed te red coats numbers starting to diminish.

Noticing Madrid across the way, raising an eyebrow at his sudden change of character, she pursed her lips and eyed him curiously. "Interesting." She said as she noticed a red coat trying to ambush her from the side, crouching down to his knee's height she tripped him up and flung him over her body. She looked down at the struggling man, trying to gather himself and his sword in time. but when she jabbed down, she jabbed through his rib cage and into his fragile heart. She walked away from the gurgling body, pulling her blade from the poor lad in the process. She walked into the tribe once more and met Zachary. But instead of letting him turn to look at her she swiveled her body and stood back to back with him, crouching and baring her fangs at a few more approaching men. "Seems those blade lessons would have helped, huh darling?" She asked in a coy tone to Zachary, meeting the blade of one man as he sung down to her, only to send her knee flying up and into his gut, making him kneel in the sudden pain. She took her sword, and laced it along his neck, dousing her silver with yet another's blood. She leaned her weight back against Zachary, her head coming up just to the bottom on his shoulder blades. She rested her head between the blades and lifted her right leg up, taking a throwing dagger from her thigh she twirled it between her fingers, seeing another foolish man charge her. She arched her right arm and in a flick of her wrist sent he blade into the man's jugular. Her chest rose and fell, panting for breath she whispered, "Don't die today okay?" A small smile spread across her face, as she looked over her shoulder at the tall doctor behind her.

Elyria had left Sheik under Pip's care. "Please keep him safe- I'll call for the Doctor." There was still danger everywhere. She had to go back for Zephyr. Looking down at Tristan one last time she pushed his hair out of his face with her hand. It pained her to leave him, but she had to find her brother and rally the crew together. They needed her as their Captain and she would not fail them.

"Sheik if you can hear me please hang on, I'll find the Doctor and send him over."
Bracken nuzzled the bleeding mans hand with his nose and whined.

Forcing herself up Elyria left, she had to find Madrid and fast.
Maneuvering through the burning village she caught sight of the tall man, aiding his Ka love in battle.

"Madrid!" She shouted over the flames. "Go help Sheik, please! He's with Pip." She pointed in the direction in which she came before running on through the brush to go find her brother.

Zephyr shouted his battle cry as his blade cut quick, slicing John's cheek as the man ducked. He almost had him. He could feel his muscles tremble and ache from exhaustion. He brought his blade up once more to deflect another hit.
Gritting his teeth he tried to push back, but up against such a wide force like John was proving difficult on his tired limbs. John's fist came up and hit Zephyr's face hard, he stumbled back but managed to kick dirt into the traitor's face.
He was about to commit the finishing blow when he heard Elyria's voice ring through the jungle calling his name, his gaze flitted for only a second.

And then there was a boring pain in his abdomen.

Zephyr choked, blood dribbling down his chin from the corners of his lips. His gaze looked down, puzzled. John's sword had run completely though the Quartermaster.
John sneered with a terrible chuckle. "Not quick enough Zephie boy.."
Zephyr sunk down to his knees, his hands gripping onto John's wrist and the hilt of the sword.
John smirked, satisfied with his successful attack. When he tried to pull away, his hand wouldn't budge. Zephyr was holding him there, rage across the young man's face.

"Let's see if you are strong enough to get away." He rasped, revealing the hidden dagger in his coat sleeve. John's eyes grew wide as he struggled against Zephyr's grip, he was pulling the man down to the blade.
"N-no wait..please!"

There was a sickening 'shunk' sound as the dagger went through John's throat. The man gasped for air before slumping down. his eyes glazed over.
Zephyr pushed him away, using the last bit of strength he had to pull the sword out of him. He bit down on his tongue and yanked, holding in a scream once the blade was out. Dropping it to the ground beside him he looked up to the night sky.

Elyria had made it back, looking for her brother. Chest heaving to try and force air into her lungs. She spotted two figures lying in the dirt. A body racking fear overcame her in that instant. No. This is all some hideous dream. She will wake up in her own bed and hear Sven's loud, gravelly voice telling one of his long-winded jokes, Zephyr's laughter filling in after.

Her legs cramp and tighten, go wobbly as she reached the rubble and make her way through it. The few people in front of her clear away. Elyria's mind takes it in by degrees. Bloody sword, broken in the dirt. A hand splayed, fingers going stiff. Those famous amber eyes open and unseeing. Zephyr's mouth parted slightly, as if he had been trying to speak when he died.

Ria.

A deep red pool of blood widens and flows beneath his lifeless body. It seeps into the dusty cracks in the earth, the Captain close her eyes, willing it all to go away.

This is not happening. This is not happening. This is not happening.

But when she open her eyes, he's still there, staring back at her, accusing. A heavy numbness weighs down her arms and legs. Elyria crumples to the ground, where her brothers blood touches her knees, forever staining them. And then the scream she had been holding back comes pouring out of her hard and fast like thunder just as the sky opens wide and a fierce rain pours down, drowning out every sound.
A Redcoat comes up behind her, frightened by her banshee scream. He hits the Captain in the back of her head with the butt of his rifle. Her vision goes black as she topples over on top of her dead brother.
Once he was sure she was knocked out he checked her pockets, finding the three shards. Gun ready to fire if anyone else attacked he backed away and retreated with the remaining Redcoats back to their ship.

They had got what they came here for.
