I do not believe in God; his existence has been disproved by Science. But in the concentration camp, I learned to believe in men. Jean-Paul Sartre

Many scientists would disagree. Science can actually help prove there is a God.

Well, I think it may be highly plausible that something resembling what we would call a God exists based on few observations of scientific and anthropological origins.
1) Throughout recordable human history, various peoples and cultures around the world have all worshipped some entity as a God. I have yet to read of any culture that did not have a God or Gods. Whether all the people of each culture believed in their God(s) is irrelevant. If every culture had a God, I find it likely that there must be some sort of creature(s) that vaguely fits the description. I don't think however that any one culture got all the facts about this being correct. But i think they are all hinting at something.
2) The Universe is so freaking complex and huge, and everything just fits so well together that it is really hard to imagine that it just happened that way. Plus the process of evolution sounds to me like someone somewhere trying to make a thing using trial and error. And there are so many parallels between big things and little things like atoms and solar systems. Idk, just makes me think that there might be a race of beings beyond us working on our existence like one would tinker at a project. Maybe 4th dimension beings? I read somewhere that things in the lower dimensions theoretically couldn't perceive things in higher dimensions.
Well that deteriorated into rambling. Sorry bout that ^.^
If you dont feel like reading this extra s**t just skip to the bold part. I dont blame yah.
I started a giveaway in the chatterbox where I gave everyone who posted on the forum a item. I love blowing peoples minds so all of the items I gave where the s**t. It got really popular for about 4 days and people just stopped posting. I guess it was because I was so busy giving out stuff I couldnt really hold a conversation with the people talking to me. And I want to try again so here I am.
I saw how not that many people where active on this guild anymore, and saw how many people like getting free stuff so im going to help get this guild back up to!
The owners of this guild are perfect, so they need members to back em up.
In the 4 days I had the giveaway in the chatterbox I gave away over 60Mil in items and gold to 17 pages worth of people.
Im going to start a lot slower now though.
To receive gold I want you to help me learn. Ill be changing the topic every now and then after giving out gold to people who give me an insight that actually makes me think. I am very philosophical, and would ******** s**t up for a good phsychology book so please give me anything and everything you think you should tell me pertaining to the topic.
I will not be giving gold to everyone who answers, just the ones that make me think. When i get more than 100Mil, I will have moments of super generousity and help everyone. But for now, I want to give away 500k to people. My gold will last longer. Sorry.
Topic: Do you think a god exists, and if you do explain everything you feel like explaining about why you believe he,she,it exists and how do you think you became to think that way about the god.
Yes, I believe in God, but I don't believe in Heaven or Hell. This is because I believe that everyone is already in the afterlife, this is the age we call A.D., or Anno Domini. 2014 years ago was the age B.C., Before Christ. I know this may sound absurd, but this is another reason why I don't worry about dying, I feel I've done it before and I'm ready for my final turn. So basically yes, I believe in God, but not the afterlife
(Oh btw if this is worth anything item please ^ยท^)

I personally think there is a higher power or outer existence out there, much like how people believe there's aliens (possibly "god"). I came to this hypothesis by thinking about the exact potential of extraterrestrial technology. For all we know they have the tools to time travel and have used them to try to send us signs, some that we might see as "miracles" or cases of extreme luck.
I'm sure everyone knows that governments hide a lot of things from the public, and alien species being one of them, the government, for all we know could be extracting this technology to enhance our own, slowly of course, consumerism couldn't reach perfection straight away or it would mean less profits for the giants in the tech companies.
This higher power stands as a "karma", a "god", a "luck" and any other things that are really a lesson to humankind, as it doesn't matter what religion we follow, we are still taught the same human values.
As for Judgement Day, I personally believe it is a conspiracy created by the christian church to persuade people into their religion, for it is the least selfless religion, the pope lives in his own country, not just a box. ~ Did you know that the vatican is known as a country? Currently known as Vatican City. Priests and cardinals are all protected by this image and have the lord's house around them, which collect more money than investment properties. Cardinals are not seen once they are inside the Vatican. Why you ask? Inside is kept secret great corruption and wealth.
Buddha and the Dalai Lama were monks seen as god-like symbols in buddhism, why though? because they were so selfless that they gave their everyday life to become monks, monks which trained, ate poor people's food, studied hard and searched for true freedom into the mother earth through meditation. Cardinals have to be taught how to be spiritual in the way of Christ, and that costs a lot of money, payed off by their already wealthy families so they could one day enter the vatican and gain a higher standing in the "christian" organisation.
Being a monk was free, you worked for what you lived, you studied what others cared to share, and you learned as much as you could open yourself up to.
Either way, I still think all religion is for is for the "bad" people to sleep at night so they can pray and pretend they can get away with it over and over, which is sad really, I'm not an atheist, I'm an agnostic and I find no need for faith, as I stay true to the everyday values and don't need to be forgiven by spiritual beings as long as I know I patched things up. Religions are profit machines and all should see their higher power as whoever they idolize and/or people with honorable outlooks.
I think its been already said before but anthropologically and archeologically speaking, there is proof that all humans since the beginning of our species, we have worshipped as well as had some sort of belief in afterlife.
Another thing, I have technically died/near death three times and I remember things that I can't even describe. The first time was when I was two, and the second when I was thirteen. Although I don't remember when I was so little, but I've had things happen within the day (signs) if I prayed to the universe. Even though I grew up christian I always found too many cracks in christianity that the experts i knew couldn't explain it without it sounding bs. (I'm not trying to sound like i'm dissing christians.. it just wasn't for me)
When I was thirteen I saw things I can't describe in words but it caused me to seriously think my beliefs. I also started seeing peoples auras, and sensing spirits.
When I was 20, I again was legally dead/near death.. I really can't explain in words. But since then if I go, "Universe, give me a sign.." That very day something will definitely happen and its nearly always the opposite of subtle.
The last bit actually got me to put aside my fear of flying, to fly halfway across the world to meet a guy that I met via gaia.
I said it about six times: "Universe, give me a sign that I should meet him." I lived in the middle of bumfudge nowhere minnesota usa and each time i said that, an aussie would come through my line (i worked in fast food) and the place I lived in didn't get a whole lot of visitors aside from canadians.. another time i asked it on my day off, an old lady whom i've never seen ever came up to me in walmart, took my hand and said, "In a lifetime before you lived in the northeast of australia. In the future you will be happy there." This was before I told anyone I was thinking of going to australia. Everytime it happened I got a tingly chill that felt if I didn't do it I would never be happy. So I went. And now, We are in a very happy relationship and recently had a baby boy.
Also if you believe in ghosts/spirits then you have to believe in some sort of afterlife. Which is apart of religion. Even in chaos, there is some sort of order. Someone or something has to be responsible for that order.
A higher power. A god. The universe. I believe its all the same, all religions are related in some way. Science has found proof in DNA that god exists, but if you say its the Jew's god or Christianity's god or an Indian god or some other religion's god. From an anthropological and scientific view that's where the argument/discussion should really be.
I really hope that made sense, I've got a cold, running lack on sleep due to that and the baby..So if it doesn't please let me know. Also I really hope you respond because I'd love to get more indepth (if anyone wants me to go into more depth please quote me. thanks!!!) n////n;;

NEW TOPIC, JUST GAVE OUT ALL THE DONATIONS IM GIVING FOR THE PAST TOPIC. LOOK AT THE FIRST POST TO GET SOME MO MONAY
I think the most important thing a person can do is self-reflection and enlightenment. I like seeing people who are affirmed in their beliefs.
And this is different for all people, my goal is to become a good doctor, I feel that that is my calling; I enjoy helping people, talking with them, teaching, and I am fascinated with the human body and the physical sciences, so if I can use my hands and mind to remove someone's cancers, or diseased appendix, than I will be excited that I could have helped. I feel that self-reflection can prevent suicides, and crime, because people can better understand their feelings and goals and have better capabilities to asses bad situations, while better choices lead to a better socio-economic system, friendlier neighbors, and hopefully on a global level a bit more peace.
And being in touch with oneself really paves the path for education, you become motivated on your subject and you learn the way to success.
If you want to become an artist, you will study other art styles you like, familiarize yourself with the style, learn new techniques and mediums, tools. And you will progress as a person, and as an artist.
On another note is also important to understand the connection between all people, and how energy travels among them. You never know when a smile will help a person and lift their mood, and maybe they will share that smile with someone else, or view themselves more positively. In that sense I'm an advocate for disorganized community service. Sure going to the shelter every week is a wonderful contribution, but it is the minuscule things we do that help others the most. Like helping an old lady who needed help getting home, taking a roaming dog back to his family, picking up garbage in the street. Just little things, that take no effort can affect people so wonderfully. You never know when you will be older and needing a way home, or if your kid lost their dog and is crying a storm but you have no clue where it could be.

We as a specie need to learn more about our planet. How it works how it repairs it self and how we impact it every day. As we speak there is research being don called biological engineering. This will have dire consequences on the world. There looking at messing with mother nature here.We need to arm our selves with the proper knowledge and fight back if need be.
"There's nothing you can do that can't be done. Nothing you can sing that can't be sung. Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game It's easy.
There's nothing you can make that can't be made. No one you can save that can't be saved. Nothing you can do but you can learn how to beyou in time - It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love, All you need is love, love, love is all you need. Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love."

(is this still going on? Well, here it goes...)
Knowledge-wise, I think the most important thing to know is the adaptive ability of the human person. Let me expound on the bits that I understand:
It's absolutely fascinating how the human mind is able to adapt to different kinds of conditions. (Even our physical adaptations to the elements are all reactions to the stimuli our bodies send to our brain.) Whether emotionally, psychologically, physically, or even spiritually (if you believe in that. I personally do) our brain is able to construct "coping mechanisms" that allow our entire person to adapt to the situation. You've probably heard of these theories before, but the question now is: so what?
I think that if we can somehow find a way to "hone" or at least study this incredible survival instinct, it could be a way to ensure the survival of the human race. Yes, we know that humans are naturally adaptive beings, but if we can learn HOW it's done, then maybe we can find a way to speed-up the adaption process so it wouldn't take millions of years. Think about all the possibilities! Kind of crazy, but that's my slice of the pie. I like pie.
Here are some more questions to ponder on, regarding this topic: (because I can't answer them myself for obvious reasons)
- If this is the case, doesn't it make everything relative? If humans' coping mechanisms are somehow amplified, would it not change the natural laws and morals of humanity? Is endless relativity actually a good thing or a bad thing?
-Is this unlocking human potential or ultimately hindering it? When we cope, is it in a way evolving or simply absorbing?
-Will this inevitably lead to our losing of our humanity or is this the epitome and ultimate state of being we humans are meant to achieve?
(although quite evolutionist you'll be surprised to know that yes, I do believe in God. JS)
I think it's important to see how historical trends got us to where we are so we can find sensible answers to problems based on evidence and a knowledge of hoe real people behave instead of repeating the same things that don't work over and over.

I think finding something to devote your heart and soul to is rather important. I also believe that finding your own path in life and not just retracing someone else's footsteps is quite important as well.
<- ... So when did the spiritual discussion started?!? Always ends up in it, doesn't it? Sooner or later!xd We-eell ...I know God exists for quite some reasons... but I won't go on... You just can't discuss faith... as you can't discuss politics!wink
The most important thing to me right now?! To me? Personally? I got a major depression at the moment and hope to get some treatment real soon... So, as funny as it might sound... Most important to me is "hope" at the moment... ... And not to lose it,... would be a loose end... Hope, that the people who care for me, for whatever reasons, don't give up on me, for I do want to go on... Somehow... "Hopefully"... Meaning -> Would love to do so, full of hope!
