"Isn't it obvious?" He asked, shuffling around. "I'm crawling under the covers with you." And then Lou tossed his pants out from underneath the sheets. "And getting comfortable. You should do the same."

Lou paused. blinking as Amphi seemed to 'realize' what was going on.
Then he just smiled and laughed again, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer. Her innocence was refreshing to his soul, especially after such a long downtime. "We are." He pressed a kiss to her forehead. "Is it everything you dreamed it would be, fish lips?"

She realized something as he pulled her down closer to him, and she nestled in his side. Lou was back, Lou was Lou. He didn't think of his past, or beat himself up over it. He wasn't moping under these same covers, where he wouldn't let her in earlier.
They didn't even finish spookies, but Lou was Lou and that's what made Amphi the happiest. She was practically lighting up the room with it.
"It's even better then I thought." she nuzzled into his side, "I'm so happy. I hope this never goes away, this feeling." She poked Lou in the chest. "This better not be a dream."

Lou wouldn't deny that he loved pissing people off and getting under their skin, but this was pretty great too. And, indeed, his mind had been pleasantly distracted. Perhaps not completely out of the woods, but doing well enough that he could see the warm light of an exit.
"Well you know how you prove it's not a dream, right?" He didn't wait for her answer. Without missing a beat, the boil pinched the skin on her back. "Feel that?"

Amphi squeaked and accidentally kicked at Lou because....
"Ow Lou! It's not a dream!" She hissed, reaching down to cup his face and pull at the cheeks. "Okay we'll take a nap and then finish spookies...okay?"

"Ow." It wasn't a very sincere 'ow', because he wasn't letting her go. "Glad it's not a dream." The boil cooed.
Sighing contently, the boil closed his eyes. "Sure. We'll finish those spookies sooner or later." Or just... Eat the spookie dough.
