Alek slunk into the area like he didn't belong, all wide, darting eyes and jittering hands. He was nearly a grown man, he should have been comfortable going wherever he pleased, but over time it just seemed easier to remain underground where he was safe. In the wake of the attack, safe was all he wanted to be.

Still, that was not to say that he hadn't had bouts of restlessness over the past year during which he'd ventured outside, but they were few and far between. He'd only met one other person on his excursions, and the likelihood of running into him here were slim to none.

Instead of even trying to find the minstrel, Alek made his way over to a slowly growing group of prentices who had gravitated toward a stuttering shifter. A healer. Oh. Healing was one of the many things he hadn't found he had any affinity for, but it was one of the skills that would surely be needed in the battle to come. He could try, at the very least.

Like a shadow, he stuck to the fringes of their little gathering, giving anyone who turned his way a faint nod and a small smile that didn't reach his eyes.

        Zuri
Holding her daughters hands Zuri walked towards her husband. She would be leaving to war soon, and with a new rank also. She was beyond excited but also sad. She hadn't ever left her girls until her quest to Zena, and now that she was back with them it was hard to part with them again. However she knew that they would be safe with their father, Biroki wouldn't ever let anything happen to his girls.

As she approached her husband she realized that he had a bunch of prentices around him. Good, they would all keep him busy so he wouldn't worry about her. Between the girls, healing and all these prentices she knew that Biroki would have his hands full. It almost made her wish they had left the girls home... But no, being with their father was best.

"Hello love, I have the girls ready to help." she said as she approached. When she got closer she realized that one of the prentices was her brother Alek! She hadn't been able to see him or their sister when she was in Zena and frankly she was surprised to see him now! "Alek?!" she said happily as she let go of her girl's hands ran forward and hugged him. "Oh Alek I haven't seen you in forever." she said happily. Than she realized where they were. "You aren't fighting are you?" she hoped he wasn't, she didn't want to have to worry about besides winning and coming back home safely.

        Ikuri
She didn't like the idea of her Mama going to war, she was going to fight and she didn't have daddy to help heal her if she got hurt... It didn't sound like a safe plan to Ikuri. Mama wouldn't even have Belle with her, though Ikuri knew that the roati was safer back at home. She got to bring Lox with her though, even if the mammu was getting bigger he was still small for his species so her parents agreed that she could bring him. It would keep her out of trouble since she would have thing to care for if anything.

As they approached her Daddy Ikuri smiled, she had been learning lots of things from him and hoped that she would be lots of help making sure that people were healed. When her mom let go of her hand to go hug the strange man, she looked around. Spotting Samoset and Kennet talking to two other boys who looked alike her eyes widened. More twins! "Ikkio." she said to her sister as she mentioned over towards the two other pairs of twins. Hopefully her sister would get the message and go with her to talk to the boys. Mama told her she wasn't allowed to leave her sisters side, and she didn't plan on it.

        Lasarra
Walking around with Izsha at her side Lasarra wondered where her sister had wandered off to. The two of them had got there together, but somehow they were separated. They would find each other before the battle though, they had to. Lasarra wouldn't allow anything to happen to her sister.

As she wandered around she spotted a group of halflings like her and smiled as she started walking towards them. It wasn't until she was practically on top of them that she realized that one of the people of the group was Rayolun. She hadn't seen him in a long time, and was in awe at how he had changed and grown. A blush spread across her face as she realized just how much she liked the changed. Standing straight she called out to him. "Ray!" she said before hugging him. "Long time no see." she said excitedly. After the hug she backed up, realizing that everyone else there were either fully Alkidikes or half. "Hello Sisters." she said cheerfully. Great, now that she found Ray she just needed to find her sister and Bhima, than maybe she would be able to calm down.

        Briella
Briella had come with Dyakida, and leaving both Kaalnia and Ilyra with her she made her way through the crowd looking for Kadriye. She had kissed the girl, and told her how she felt, and now there was now way that she was going to let Kadriye out of her sight during this battle. She knew that every sister would take care to keep Kadriye safe, but Briella would be keeping extra care. Other than Ilyra, Kadriye was the only other person on the battle field that she really cared about.

"Amadi, do you see Qi or Kadriye?" she asked her sprite as she looked around. The sprite was high above her head when all of a sudden he shirked and darted forward. Darting through people Briella finally spotted Kadriye. She stopped with a smile and just looked at the other girl, she had grown since the first time Briella saw her. They both had. "Kadriye, I really wish you had stayed home..." she said as she walked towards the other girl with a smile. Amadi was happily flying around Qi, the only other sprite that he really liked.

        Ilyra
Watching her annoying aunt leave Ilyra made her way to go talk to Dyakida. "Dya?" she said to make sure the other knew she was there before reaching out and touching Dyakida's arm. She knew that with so many people around it had to be hard on Dyakida's sense.

"Is there anything that you'd like me to do now that the annoying one is gone?" she teased with a laugh. Ilyra had always been on Dyakida's side when it came to her aunt. If anything she saw Dyakida as more of an aunt than Kaalnia. Abathur clung to her back, his head turning back and forth as he took in all the new people and sights around him. Ilyra really wanted to leave him home, but it seemed like the sailscale wasn't willing to do so.

        Niadra
With Jania at her side Niadra walked around, unsure what to do. She knew that when it came down to it she would be mostly passing letters between the camp, she was fast on her feet plus Jania could help out. There were many faces that she was sure that she had seen before, but she didn't know any of them well enough to stop and talk.

She kind of felt useless, she was a dancer and in times of war dancing was pointless. She was happy that Nyiim had stayed home though, that meant at least she didn't have to worry about him.

"Jania..." she started, about to tell her companion that they should go back to the troupe, but than she saw a familiar face. "Senja!" she said waving as she walked over to the girl who was more like her sister than just a friend.

[Biroki -> WHOLE BUNCHA PRENTICES and Zuri -> Healer Tents ]

"Oh!" Biroki smiled at the young leaf tribe man, "W-well, I'm actually a sage, but I'm on healing duty and I could use your help... and whatever you've learned so far... Tricks are better than nothing, you know? And they could s-save lives... " he said, happy to see another leaf prentice answer his call, "I'll pass on some tr-tricks myself, if I can."
He nodded to he newcomers, feeling slightly overwhelmed, but also, oddly, empowered. "Hi, Mella... Okay, a-all of you..."

Oh gods, what was he going to do with all of them? He'd put them to work, but his mind was suddenly starting to blank. His gaze drifted towwards a familiar blue form, with two smaller forms at her hands. He met her eyes and felt... relaxed. He WAS a sage, and these were prentices. He smiled at her, straightening up,
"Hello hear, I th-think we haveeanough help. Okay, all of you" he said, beckoning to the prentices, "Theres a lot of s-set up to do now, and if we do it now, we can handle things later. If you need help doing something, I can help you, and I'll show you what needs to be done inside... If you'll all follow me..." he gave Zuri a big smile. See, he could bessertive and manly when it counted. "I mean," he amended, "You can help if you want, but... I think... you'll be needed elsewhere." She had her own preparations for war to go through..

[Ikkio -> Ikkuri -> going to play with the twins! All the twins!]

If Ikkio hand't been able to bring Zumurundi with her, she would have pitched a huge tantrum. If her sister could bring Loxy, she should be able to bring her Radaku to the campground.
Fortunately for everybody in her family, they had allowed it, and the green adolescent Radaku was trotting along obediently at her side. So Mom was going off to war. Mom was going to be out doing things and having all the fun. She and Ikuri were stuck with Dad, who she could just SEE wanted to go out and do things too. She felt almost sorry for him. Sorrier for herself though. Wouldn't it be something to make a name for herself as a great warrior? At her age? But no, It had gotten ever harder to shake her mother and sister as she had grown up. They had gotten wise to her tricks, apparently... but Ikkio doubted it. You had to think to do that. No, they were just lucky, luck being something that built up over time. She wouldn't have helped her father in that tent anyway - she was already sick of helping her uncle. She was sent there so often as punishment for running off to do something interesting, that she just wished the whole thing would burn down...
"Hmm?" Ikuri's statement dragged Ikkio out of her bored reverie, "Whats up, Kuri?" She followed her sisters gaze.

That was interesting. Two sets of two who looked very much alike. Twins? Like them! "Lets go say hi..." said Ikkio, but Ikuri apparently already had the same idea. Again, if her sister had ideas. "Hey! Wait up!" Her sister was not allowed to have these new toys all to herself! she said as she jogged to catch up to Ikuri... and to the quartet of boys ahead, Zumurundi following behind.

Tahira (p1)

Danger was imminent and yet Tahira could not find it within herself to be scared. At the moment the Alkidike prentice was too excited to let fear in. There were so many people here, warriors from all tribes milled about practicing with their magic and weapons, preparing for the battle ahead. Though she was still young the hybrid girl was ready and willing to defend her people well peoples as it were. There would be no lack of role models or mentors here should she be confused or unsure about just how certain weapons or magics worked.

Of course that was only half of what she wanted to know, Tahira was curious about the fire tribe and if anyone knew how they differed from the ones gathered here. Did they fight with vastly different weapons, had the spies discovered that they knew great secrets of magic unseen elsewhere in tendaji?

Thus far no one the young woman had questions had been able to provide answers. Shifting away from the obvious warriors for a moment she went to see what those who came as support were up to and talking about. Perhaps they knew something of interest.

[Not Counted ] [Nuawahn -> Ogbonna -> by some rocks]

"Really?!" Nua said, doing a spin in midair. He wasn't sure why the other boy was joining him in the hopping, but it was fun, and more fun with others, honestly. "Whos your uncle? I want to learn all about healing! Making people happy is what I do?" he said with a big grin, "I'm Nuawahn!" he said cheerfully, as something clicked in his head. "Oggie? Oggie!" He stopped mid hop, looking at Ogbonna. "I remember you! We had a lot of fun when our caravan stopped in..... I dunno where, but it was a..." Nuawahn tried to remember, but couldn't. "It was a place!" he laughed, "I think we got in trouble! Do you remember that?" truth was, that was as far as his memory fog would let him go, and he was sort of hoping to hear the story properly. He opened his arms to give Ogbonna a big haven't-seen-you-in-forever hug (not to be mistaken with his 'best friends now' hug or his 'just for fun' hug). He was pretty sure they had only met once, but once was enough for Nua to know that, all those years ago, when he was a little boy, he had liked Ogbonna. Even if he didn't remember him so well, friends were worth re-friending, right?

[Not Counted] [Dyakida -> Ilyra -> Weapons Tent]

Dyakida was grateful to the gentle touch, instead of the ways that the people around her kept trying to get her attention around here. Some shouted at her, as if she was somehow also unable to hear them. The opposite was so, and her ears hurt. Only her natural dignity prevented her from stabbing the next person that decided that she was somehow their doddery old grandmother and screamed at her when talking would do just fine. And there was Kaalnia whose every move involved some sort of slam.
"Ilyra? Is that you?" She knew that Ilyra wasn't Briella's pled-for daughter, but they still sounded similar. Yep, it was. "Well, if you don't mind taking on a few of these arrows..." she gestured towards a pile of arrow materials - heads, feathers, and shafts that had yet to be put together - "You are welcome to take a few. I would certainly like your company. I did want to speak to you, as well." she added, almost as an afterthought, "This is your first... major encounter, am I correct?"

[Not Counted] [Kaalnia -> Bhima -> General Area]

Kaalnia found herself at a loss as she wandered through the tents. she had no idea where to start looking for the people that Dyakida wanted to see. Or why, really - she was sure 'Kida had her reasons. But how was she supposed to do that? She couldnt go back empty handed, that would be a poor way to impress her.

She sought around for someone to help her. "Ah, hey." she said, walking up to Bhima, staying out of her way in case the practicing sister didn't want to be bothered during practice (those blades looked SHARP). "Ya have a minute to help a sister out?"

Ogbonna - NO COUNTING 3< (2/2)

"My uncle is Rastian!" Ogbonna chirped, spinning as the other did so. He liked this form of training, it was fun and good for the legs! But as the other paused to speak about having met him before, he found himself scratching his head. Caravan? Trouble? In Mez? He had never heard of th... WAIT.

"Nua! I remember you now!" He squealed, grasping the other boy tightly. "We played by the beach and ran around a lot, it was so much fun! Where have you been?"

Tahigwa post 2

Once she was sure that Pahana had settled down enough to continue her job as the ration woman, Tahigwa set out to get her sword handles rebound. The ribbons that she had tied on were already coming undone, despite several re-ties, and she was growing ever frustrated with them. She sighed in her usual fashion and resigned to have the weapon's maker in the tent next door fiddle with them until they were secure.

"Heeeey, how good are you at tying ribbons to things?" She asked, parting the tent flaps. However, as she stepped into the tent, her best friend came into view, and she bounded forward. "LYRA! LYRA! I'm so glad you decided to join! We can totally fight together, just like we've always wanted to!"

Nilah44

Sauron ducked and ran through the crowd, being careful not to skewer people with his spear. Kelina, he had to find Kelina, he would not be happy until he found her. His movements were uncharacteristic in their swiftness, he was running on pure adrenaline, pupils dilated and tingling up and down his spine, keeping his feet light and his mind swift.

He caught the flash of a bow and rushed to her, panting but exhilarated. All would be well, he had found her. He grasped her hand and nodded.

"Wherever you go." It was a simple fact, a simple truth from the very bottom of his soul

SP1

Kiyelt went back and forth carrying supplies and produce. Some of which looked so good his mouth watered. Fish, meat, greens, fruit, ahhhh. But it was not for him, it was to support his nation and for that he could bite his tongue, wandersome as it may want to be.

He hummed and wondered where those he had met were. He hoped Nua was as far from sharp pointy things as he could get. And Yelena, he hoped for Oba's sake she was safe. He was not a naturally violent person but some things just were NOT done, not to those he liked. He pondered the best beasties to unlease on the gathering hoards. The animals were the thing that the enemy would not be expecting. Of course whoever he sent, he would protect with his own life, not fair to the animals if he wasn't out there with them risking his own blood. He patted his little sailscale straight jacket, Iniu, and scolded her companion who was lounging on the fruit pilt. "Don't let me regret letting you of your string you overgrown kite." He smiled at Norcrest who hissed at him good naturedly as was his new habit. They did love to argue.

Kiyelt Post 1 if someone wants Kiyelt to interact with them just pester him,

Iroia shined the gleaming blades in the weapon storage area, her eyes kept roving back to her borrowed twin blades. She sighed at their beauty, hers to use, hers to pamper, hers to skewer bad guys with. Her dad was so proud... her mother kept a pile of bandages. Okay yes they were sharp, but she had been training forever. Of course that was only with her parents and some of the unfortunate boys in her village but really!

kadriye p2
Qi broke out into excited chatter as Amadi approached.they had not raveled here with Briella and the sprite had not known if his kin would be accompanying the warrior that Kadriye assured him was somewhere in the congregation. Qi flitted about circled round Amading and gesturing to all the strange and yet interesting sights there were in the area. Had Kadriye not repeated multiple times that pranks were not okay now the sprite would have been testing the many strangers to see just how smart and fast they really were.

Kadriye felt relief wash over her at the sight of Amadi, where he was Briella could not be far behind. She returned her friend's smile with a pleased one of her own. It was good to see Briella, they'd not had much time together since admitting their feelings, nor had the other Alkidike seen her since her promotion. Still Briella's words made her frown. "If Aisha wanted me at home with Eshe I would be there." The older mystic and the elders no longer fit for war had remained behind to tend run the day to day life of the tribe and tend to those who could neither fight nor support the warriors.

Kadriye though was ready, at least in her mind, and neither Eshe nor Aisha had tried to stop her from leaving. She might not have the experience fighting that many of her sisters did but she had the will fight that ran in the blood of all Alkidike and she had been trying to train with a weapon recently.

Ime post 2

Ime gladly shuffled over and sat beside the man, crossing her legs and grabbing her ankles.

"Ohhh... she won't be happy..." the child warned. Her Mama was never happy if she did things first and told her later.
"At least you're writing her. That's nice. I still live with my Mama, but sometimes I write her notes too."

She tilted her head at the man then and smiled. It was clear that she did not understand the depth of what was to occur.

"The whole Kesris is here. Mama said 'stay away from the healing place.' I'm supposed to stay with my aunties and uncles, but you're not one of them. That's okay, though. They're all working, and you seem nice. You don't have to stop writing 'cause of me, though. Your Mama will wanna know. I think I should help sometime, because I get boo-boos all the time and Mama knows how to make them better, so I probably know how to make things better too, right?"

Bhima stopped and brought her blades to her sides. As she spoke, she began to sheath them.

"Certainly," she replied with a little nod. She'd do anything to help a Sister, and she'd like some distraction. She didn't want to think about those Sisters she may not be able to help... "How can I be of assistance?"

just an fyi, Senja went missing from the troupe. She went wandering into Zena and got caught in a snow storm a week ago or near that XD

Post 2 SenjaSenja smiled and ran over to her friend. "Niadra!" Giving her a quick hug as Ete sat on her friends head, she smiled. So she wouldn't be all alone!
"Are you here to help the healers too? I'm her to give them a hand and maybe play music for them. Keep people calm, give them entertainment. That sort of thing. Are you here for that to?"
Shilea, Senja's huge mammu companion, wandered over slowly, giving all time to move out of her way so she wouldn't step on them. Her trunk touched Niadra's face, gathering her scent to memorize it.

Winta Post Two

The young woman stretched her arms and legs for a moment before she decided to head back to her tent in order to take inventory again. Maybe she would also find some time to visit with the others in her field and find out a few tricks too. A radiating warm feeling spread throughout her whole body at the thought of what was to come. Not the death and doom. Rather, it was time for her finally play her role. It had been an uphill battle with her grandmother but at least the old woman was a little less resistant to the idea of her making weapons for a living. There was still a long way until she would be able to openly make them in the tree house like Zoan could with her craft but at least she didn't have to more or less sneak around. That was a huge weight that was now lifted from her chest.

It took Winta a total of five minutes to walk back to her tent, open the flap and begin working. "I think I have enough weapons. Not as many bows but--" Winta bit her lip. Thus far her main focus had been on spears, knives and swords. Bows and crossbows? That hadn't been apart of her main objective up until about a week before the war started. Her skills when she began were better than those she had when she started making spears. That had been a little reassuring. Now her spears were glorious. Her bows and crossbows though? They weren't bad but they didn't have the same amount of craftsmanship that they deserved. During the war she would definitely be working on this more and trying to get them perfect. If she was able to repair some that would be even better!

Chimelu Post Two

What did Chimelu think when he had wandered off to join a war without so much as a dagger to protect him, let alone a crossbow? He would have shaken his head at himself but he was too ashamed to do so. Finally though he gave a shrug and decided to just get one from one of the various weapon makers that dotted the camp. With a bit of frustration leaking out the boy kicked at the ground as he walked, not even bothering to consider it was highly likely he would kick someone or trip in the process.
