...This woman is unreadable, Chance observed. There's surely much more to her than what she's let on so far; she is dressed fancily, yet wields a machete and speaks easily of different worlds. Would turning down her request really be a wise idea, especially when she can grin like that while holding a weapon? "I suppose I'd be her fickle daughter then, name of Chance," said she, finally introducing herself. "Finding people is exactly half of my job, least before I wound up here... but we would need to know about this groundskeeper." The moment the word "we" left Chance's mouth, she directed a meaningful glance at the detective.

I can do this... Florina silently chanted the mantra to herself as she timidly walked the halls of the academy. The girl was not used to being in a crowd of strangers, so it was only natural that she was nervous. It was easily seen as she lightly pressed the knuckle of her right index finger to her bottom lip.
When she reached the auditorium, Florina peeked her head inside first to gauge the situation and turned back. There were a lot of people there, and she considered turning back, but, since she was already there, she might as well complete what she had started.
Florina took her first tiny step into the auditorium and stood by the door. She was content being a wallflower for now, until she worked up the courage to actually speak.

The hooded girls comment about finding someone made him chuckle with delight "Finding people is my job"he said with a smile. it had been so long since he had an actual case that didn't involve runaways. "Looking for the groundskeeper" he said to the woman in white "I believe I can help locate him" he pulled out a note pad and pen "alright what was his name and where was he last seen?" asking intrigued as he spoke he noticed the girl with the pink hair enter "OVER HERE MISS" he shouted to her "maybe you have an input to where the groundskeeper is"

"Oh," Umbraja blinked between the assassin and detective with a wry grin, "I'm hearing in stereo," she gave a little giggle then nodded with a clap to rub her hands together. " Brilliant then. With a pair of professionals I'm sure we can find him. He's about thiiis tall," she held out one hand around eye level and moved it up and down a good eight inches in the general vicinity of between 5'4" and 6' even. "Aand last I saw him he was a dark elf, I believe. White-ish hair, red hat, usually wears sunglasses. Think he's got a green snake. . . I last saw him mucking about the woods on the east end. . . wanted me to bring him a forest spirit. Figure it's something about the gardening. . ." she trailed off to think a moment before giving a sharp nod. "Yeah. That's about it." Umbraja finished her description and stared at them a moment before remembering with a blink, "Oh. Yeah. His name's Jikial." She flashed a toothy grin full of ego and a few slightly sharp teeth. When the detective pointed out the girl behind them, Umbraja turned that grin on her and waved a hand to motion her closer, "Come on now, kiddo. Meekness doesn't become an adventurer. And that's what we're all here for, now isn't it? Least that's what this school is for" she huffed a little laugh at that then gave the girl a shrug. "In any case, I happen to know quite well that not all bunnies are shy. Have to introduce you to Ozzy some day."

"Might I get your name sweetheart" he said glancing over the lady " So, by the woods looking for fairies" he thought a moment "I've looked for more complicated" scribbling in his notebook trying to figure out where the groundskeeper went. "Are these.. fairies dangerous?" he asked with concern

"...Don't be so quick to assume forest spirits are the same as faeries," Chance was quick to chime in, speaking from experience. What sort of world does he come from, that he doesn't understand this? Pushing that out of her head, Fionna turns to her new "client," committing every detail she's spoken to memory. "...You speak of 'a' spirit of the forest. Are we to expect others... particularly, can we expect a leshy to be there?" she asks with concern, praying that the white-clad one knows what a leshy even is.

"Oh. Oh, no. The forest spirit is right here," Umbraja corrected the detective, giving the sack over Duo's shoulder a pat which caused it to flail with a terrible snarl. "And Miss Chance is right, not all forest spirits are fairies. This one's a nymph. And she's harmless. . . well, mostly harmless," the woman shrugged then huffed a bit of a laugh at their concerns over safety. "Oh, don't you worry about that. Jikial, Vay, and I cleared out all the dangerous fey from those woods a few years ago and we made a pact with the leshy so he stays mostly to the deep woods and doesn't cause trouble. Just don't go cutting any trees or hurting any animals," she warned seriously at the last. "He doesn't truck with that."

Poor Florina looked like a deer caught in headlights. She had expected to slowly mingle within the crowd, perhaps start off talking with one person, but she found herself quickly thrust into a group, talking of some Groundskeeper, faeries, and woods. Well, since she had already skipped a few steps ahead of her plan, she would make the best of it. "H-hello." she greeted with a small curtsy, lifting up an invisible skirt, since she was currently wearing pants. "My name is Florina. It's a pleasure to meet you all."

Fionna stifled a laugh upon realizing the contents of the sack. "Good to know, then," said she, but is then silent until a young-looking lass approaches, meekly introducing herself as Florina. "Chance I be," came her response in a much kinder tone than she's spoken up until this point. Her gaze, previously hard as cold stone, seemed to soften somewhat for Florina's sake. "You needn't be so timid. Even less so when being called by someone who lacks the decency to give us his own name, yet dares to ask for ours." Her eyes then meet with the detective's, narrowing as if to convey some horrible and unspoken threat.

"Heh. . . yeah, sorry," Vay shrugged at her first words, catching the irritation in them then smiled with a little nod when she said it was nice to meet him. "Pleasure meeting you too, Talia," he responded politely and didn't seem to mind the mister. His smile widened a bit for her question and he gave another nod then reached down to pull up the little kitten that was sleeping at his feet and set it on the table. It blinked up at her then mewed adorably. "Got a kitty in the box for one of the prizes. Not this one though, a different one," he told her happily rubbing behind the kitten's ear to illicit a tiny purr before going on. "And a really rare item with some morbid wings and accessories then a special Valentine for another and a monthly prize for the last item. There's also a lot of gold to be won so you should go check out all the contests."

Lupin shivered against the harsh Winter wind as he made his way across the Quad, He had his plain black hoodie zipped up all the way, yet the cold somehow managed to seep through and send shivers through him. He reached into his pocket and closed his hand around his wand. Lupin had promised the headmaster long ago that he wouldn't use any magic on the campus. However, Lupin still insisted that he keep his wand close by him just in case any suspicious activity occurred.
Lupin plowed his way through the Quad and rushed until he got to the warm and bustling Cafeteria. It was so cozy and warm with the steam from the hot chocolate and the warmth from the freshly-baked assortments of cookies. He marched his way up to the food line and gently picked up a scalding hot chocolate, careful not to burn his fingers. Lupin finally gave in to his large sweet tooth and grabbed a cookie to. After paying the lunch lady, Lupin rushed off to a nearby table and sat down. He stared out the window while waiting for some company. It was unlike him to approach somebody at random and start a conversation.

"Marona." Chance echoed the name she was given, nodding. "I wager a kinder, more patient soul than mine would tell this is a good time to apologize. Of course -" she coughed in an exaggerated fashion here - "your hollering and reaching for... I suppose that device is a weapon... was quite the surprise." Her eyes then focus back to Florina, scanning the meek young lady briefly. Those are real... right? ... It's not like she's just "a human with hare's ears," right? Just what manner of creature was she? She seemed nice enough, yet Fionna wondered if there's some strange power at work with her. Her odd features seem even more difficult to ignore than the white-clad woman's. Why...? Pushing aside all manner of confusing thoughts - some best left unmentioned - the assassin speaks once again. "Is there anything else we need to talk about? If not, we've a search to conduct."

Duo pretty much stood back listening to the conversation, the bag over his shoulder frantically attempting to escape. He didn't seem to care about much that was going on. He was actually searching around in his memory banks, the code in his eye moving frantically. He could still hear the others, but wasn't paying too much attention. When he finished his memory, he moved on to what he could find of school files. Sometimes, if the files were open or easily accessible, Duo was able to search files in a computer somewhere simply by being in the same building as the computer they're stored on. He could also search the internet, if there was a strong enough connection. Duo didn't usually do this, as he thought it was wrong to look through people's personal files. However, he was just looking for the simple whereabouts of the groundskeeper. He wasn't finding much... just some logs about what had happened on the ground, where he had put things, etc. Nothing of real importance. "I don't see." He said slowly, still looking through things. This seemed to be nonsense, as it didn't fit in with the context of the rest of the conversation. OOC: Sorry to all, this took a while. I'm really unsure abut what to post >.>
