Lou's hands rested at Amphi's sides, his body moving like clockwork. His expression didn't change at her words, but his eyes did shift away.
"No."
Woah.
"What's the point? All the things I said, everything I did... It was just to cover up a dead man's secrets." The boil could almost imagine the tiny strings piercing through his body. The ones that had dictated what kind of man he would be. Little defective mechanisms that caused his mouth to move. Lou had mentally convinced himself that's what his unlife amounted to.
"Looks like you're getting off scot-free. Congratulations." Lou didn't think Amphi had intended for anything to happen like it did, but he couldn't help feeling like all the cards had played so well into her delicate hands. Libido be damned when all your mental capacity focused on brain power. Pondering how you let something happen and how you could get over it... If you even tried to. No, for once there were more important things than getting laid. That was what got him into this mess in the first place.

"I want to play with the Love-O-Meter!" She squealed, a glint of mischief in her eyes. "Come on! It looks so stupid! I wanna play it with you!" She dragged the boil to the Love-O-Meter. She'd always wanted to try this with a boil. And now was her one chance! Quote: Playing with a Partner - You and your Partner take a handle! "N...no?!?" Amphi squeaked, feeling a bit shamed that she even asked in the first place. had he not taken the bet, he'd still be...Lou. He was different now. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't Lou.
"So...do you think that...." She frowned, "this dead man wanted us to meet? or that you would come here and meet friends? Like Victoria?" She shook her head....
"I miss you..." She repeated and laid her head on his chest, "Even if you were a terrible person and made such weird comments..." She didn't know how to help, and it was a terrible time to remember that Hel has once called her not deep. Shallow.

"Love-o-Meter?" He followed her and loooked at it. Tacky but....he was also very curious. Their scores came together and it equaled...
"Naughty but Nice?" he raised an eyebrow, unsure if that's fitting for a lady and gentleman like himself.

"Hm..." Lottie looked at the results, rubbing her chin. Naughty she could understand. She was only pretending to be nice, though! Did.. that mean Cormick was actually nice? Was she the bad guy here?
Psshaw! It was just a stupid machine!
"Who knows! That was fun!" She laughed, dragging him away. Better to distract him with something else. "Cormick! Tell me about your family~ What do they do?" How rich was this dude and how far could she take this ride to go?

An accurate machine...Damn Lottie it was on to you...
"it was...yes I suppose it was fun!" He smiled, eventually leading them to a table to sit. "My family?" he was surprised she would ask and looked thoughtful.
"Well we are a old clan, invested in the stock markets. My father is the current head of a company that deals with in human travel and collection of FEAR through tricks! He trains young wanna be's and helps them adapt to the human world." He scratched his chin, "My mom inherited her fortune and well...they married through mutual family contacts and birthed me. now I'm the only heir."
"What about you? Is all of your family into sweets like you?"

Stock market! That was big money! She nodded with a big smile on her face, dollar signs in her eyes. This boil never wanted for anything in his life, she was sure. She wondered if his parents were also as arrogant as he was.
If he was the only heir, she was starting to wonder if that's what had his head so big.
"Yes! I come from a long line of Sweets Witches!" She boasted proudly. "They own a very popular shop in my hometown. We sell poisoned apples pies, toothe rot brittle, razer blade fruit cake, and other things to give to your enemies. Ah! We also have run of the mill things sweets for you know... non-deadly occasions."
She beamed.
"There's my mother and father, my grandmother who I was named after, my twin sister and my two older sisters. They got married and started their own businesses. It's my goal to see to it my twin doesn't lay a finger on the original store! It's mine!"

Lou returned to silence when Amphi piped up. He had expected more of a relieved sigh than a squeak.
"I think that all the good things in my life are only there because of his facade." Should he be grateful for that? Lou wasn't sure. It was like having something you wanted, only to find out later that it had been obtained under nefarious circumstances.
Lou's glance sank to the hand on his chest. "You should be grateful. All that charm that held you in place is gone. Now you can go find someone who won't try to manipulate you."

It was a social gathering and Olivia was always very fond of such things, being around other creeple and stuff like that. Though the last Scarentines event had ... well, some rather unpleasant results, it didn't deter her from arriving with a wide happy smile on her face. And dressed in a color a color that wasn't a blue, it was close being a cool grey tone but the cloth was patterned with small dusty pink hearts all over. Same amount of ruffles, however, as always.
So, she was there, she was in a good mood like usual. And she lingered about, taking a good look at everything she could. Pointedly ignoring anything that stated they would test compatibility in any capacity.

There was a small terror snaking around Amphi but she masked it.
Instead she let her hand drop. "You don't want me anymore..." It was selfish of her, because...well it was. "Why do you think anyone else is better then you now, this is not what you thought before." She smacked his chest gently. "WE should play a game.."
And then she smiled.
"It might be hard for you to believe Lou, but I don't want anyone else besides you."

Didn't want her? That wasn't entirely true. It would have been more correct to say that it wasn't the same kind of want. It was much less superficial. Whether the vampire would admit it to himself or not, Amphi was one of the only people who could help him. She was the only reason he even bothered to leave his room.
A shame. The normal Lou would have considered the mermaid's last comment reason enough to puff up his chest and strut. This Lou just felt worse. It was true that the tables had turned. His self worth had sank, and with it the immunity to guilt.
"Lets play a game then." Was all he said, refusing to answer how a man at the center of his own universe could suddenly become the smallest parasite in the world.

"Okay...Okay." She kept holding his hand, afraid he might disappear on her and led him to the Love-O-Meter...right after a demon and reaper had gone through.
It was light hearted and silly and maybe it would help.
"Let's play this one first and then we can play the other ones!!" Yes, good okay. She slapped her hand down and watched it spin.

Lou couldn't match Amphi's enthusiasm, no matter how much he may have wanted to. Approaching the undoubtedly random machine, the vampire placed his free hand down, waiting for their '100% accurate' result.
"... Naughty but nice."
To be honest, that was pretty ******** accurate.

She started to flush again, her gaze dropping to their hand.
"I've been pretty naughty...." She admitted. "Okay, On to the next thing!" her plan now was to keep distracting him, perhaps it would help well...return to himself.
"Okay now we should..." She started to tug him, only to stop suddenly, bumping into him and looking up. "What do you want to do Lou?" Hadn't he had enough of someone else pulling him around?
"Tell me what you want to do! More games, dance? Do...you want a kiss....or maybe some food?" She hastily said afterwards.

Cormick didn't see dollar signs, he saw prestige. Prestige was a good thing.
"A long line eh?" He blinked, shop owners! That was, depending on the type of business, either really low class or well..really high class. The inner demon in him respected tradition, so to know it was passed from family to family....If his opinion of Charlotte couldn't get any higher, well...it did anyways.
"You have many siblings..." He felt a odd curiosity, "My parents thought it best to have only one, as more would require more education and effort. Are your sisters like you?" He blinked, "A twin?!? I have not yet met her! It's good to have well....a rival is it not..." he smiled. "I always thought twins were well...very connected?"
