Trot waited as Gypsy caught up with her, glancing over to the dance area as he mentioned not knowing how to dance the way they were. "Oh, it's not too hard," she assured him as she eyed the packages. "Once you know the terminology, that is. It's very repetitive, too, so once you know the names of the moves, all you have to do is listen to the caller and away you go! They're pretty popular in Appleloosa," she added as one box caught her eye. Oh...that one looked cute! It wasn't very big, like some of the other boxes, and she was of the firm belief that good things come in small packages. "I think that one there," she said with a little nod. Moving around the table, she reached out to take the little box in her mouth. Something rattled around inside of it and she was careful to return without shaking her head too much. If it was breakable she didn't want to ruin it! "You next," she said with a grin as she set her box down. "Which one do you like?"

Current Location: The large Apple farm, near Ponyville Current Company: An angry unicorn and a curious pegasus Oh, Our Cookies: stupid Twizzlers. From the clumsy pegasus's praise, Cobalt gave a soft yet warm smile to him, but was short lived by the opposing unicorn's upset nature. "I wasn't trying to tell you how to repair it, per say, but keep things in use" he attempted to explain. Cobalt wasn't trying to show off, in fact most of the magic he had already performed since his arival to the gathering was mostly every day magic, at least for another unicorn in his same position.
"I also have heard of your enchantments" Cobalt Lightning challenged Mirror Shards, with plenty of emphasis on the last word of the sentence. "And the end result of such sounds simple, too simple for your caliber, I would assume. As time goes on, so too will everyone's resistance to magic, and that can mean the difference between misfortune and a mere twitching eye. Try adding just a touch of Animatio Rerum to help bypass the Vitae, gives the spell just the right amount of sentience to help it remain at its strongest." Cobalt tried to advise Mirror on how to further keep others from purposefully destroying his work, though was under the assumption that the blue understood completely what the orange was saying. "Old spells can be renewed with a bit of experimentation: The effect can remain the same, even better than they originally were, as well as become much easier to cast overall. The most prime example is the Telekinetic spell, that alone has changed at least two hundred times over the past thousand years, with the most recent being only a few months ago."

name: Shadow fire current contents of pack: extra buckle, one uncut sapphire, three bits, and a CD of vinyl scratch
(o.o.c. XD sorry had to put that cd in there for kicks, and yes Shadow enjoys techno music, just like me biggrin ) Shadow jumper slightly not expecting the wings to break. "Well that was unexpected." He said laughing slightly as he reached down to pick one up his hoof bumped into forest's hoof making the moment awkward. Blushing once again he pulled back. "Basically I can control fire, though not real good right now, perfect for firefighting I think." he said smiling as he thought shadow laughed nervously as he pulled a spare buckle out of his pack. "good thing i carry spares, isn't it?" he finally said then his eyes grew wide. "oh how could i forget, my names Shadow fire, and that little unicorn was Light fire." he said sounding like he was beating himself up for not telling her sooner. So he reached down again and picked up the left wing that had the buckle on it he began to replace it with the spare. "I guess ill have to redesign this when i get home, so anyway" He paused building up ten seconds of courage to ask her a question. "Do you want to come and have lunch at my place some time?" he threw out there fully prepared to take a negative blow. _______________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Light fire current contents in travel bag: 25 bits, bottle of apple cider, daisy sandwich wrapped in plastic.
Meanwhile Light was over walking through the stalls and happened to see all the mirrors break. She snickered at this cause she never seen somepony be that clumsy before, or to break more then a few mirrors at once. As she trotted along she came across a table filled with box's packages and other assorted gifts one of then addressed to light herself. So she picked up the box using magic, though this was difficult for her, cause it felt heavy. As she opened it a medium sized bottle of apple cider sat within. "Oh wow!" She smiled, for she had never seen that much cider before, and she knew her big brother worked himself to the bone just to make sure she lives nicely. "I better save this for shadows birthday next week" She said to herself as she tucked the bottle into the hand bag shadow had given her. She then stopped at the stage looking at the orchard of apple trees as music played in the background.

Asch looks at the green stallion and blushes even darker than before, "Oh! Oh.. I am so... so sorry!" He tries to hide his face with his wing. Hearing the girlfriend comment he goes a shade darker, "W-well... no... That's kinda why I was here... To maybe FIND somepony special... but... yeah... Not exactly going so well..." He paws at the ground nervously with one hoof, marefriend anyway....>

"It sounds like I should just follow your lead, then," Gypsy concluded with a light laugh. When Trot selected her box, he beamed at her choice. "Hmm...this is tough," he said. Closing his eyes, he waved his hoof around for a few seconds before stopping and opening his eyes. The box his hoof ended up pointing to seemed a little peculiar. Leaning forward to pick it up, he inspected it and realized it had holes in it. "Um...that's...interesting," he murmured nervously, suddenly looking somewhat paler."I'd rather you didn't tell me anything," Mirror answered Cobalt crisply. "Not to be rude, but this situation really isn't your concern. You can't have heard of the magic that goes into my work and spells because, as I've said, they're secrets that have been passed down through my family. Do not tell me how to charm my wares."
For Celestia's sake, he wished he had a gag or something to stuff in this pony's mouth! He just wouldn't stop talking! Did he not know when his opinion wasn't wanted? He certainly couldn't seem to take a hint. Perhaps he didn't get out and interact with other ponies much.
After the orange unicorn seemed to finish ranting, the blue one mostly ignoring his words while pretending to listen, Mirror finally asked, "Mm. One question, though - do you know any spells to make somepony shut up?"Forest, meanwhile, also blushed deeply when their hooves touched, withdrawing hers immediately with a shy smile. "Oh, I...I see," she said, watching him take out a buckle. "Er, does this happen often?" Forest asked. "Your buckle snapping, I mean. Maybe it's better if you get a different kind? I mean...how do you know this one won't snap, too?"
"Shadow Fire and...Light Fire," she repeated, looking from the purple stallion to where his sister had gone. "U-um...oh, redesigning it is a good idea." Hesitating at his invitation, the mare timidly rubbed one leg against the other and stared at the ground, avoiding Shadow's gaze. "Actually, Shadow, there's something you should know about me, too," she said, seeming a little disconcerted. "I, um...I'm afraid of fire. So...if you're a blacksmith, I don't think I'd...really be comfortable with coming over." She bowed her head in apology. "I'm sorry. Thank you for the offer, though. That was really gracious of you. Especially for a pony you just met."Melon Madness cast Asch an incredulous look as the black pegasus blushed. Hearing him stammer out an explanation, he sneered and looked back at the boxes before him. "Trust me, sport. Girls aren't worth it. They're just a whole lot of trouble and misery in one package. Speaking of packages...did you pick one yet? These things seem like they could have anything in them."
Choosing one of his own, he opened it then and there, only to groan in disappointment. "Aw, maaan...what am I going to do with this?!" Lifting a beautiful gemstone necklace out of the box by its chain, he frowned at it, tapping it lightly. "Doesn't look like it's got any kind of magic."Just then, however, a cry of fright erupted from a little ways down the table where a couple of other pegasai were browsing the packages. The spotted stallion had just opened the box with holes in it only to find a live animal. "GREAT CELESTIA, WHATISIT?!" he yelled, practically clinging to Globe Trotter in fear.Looking over the table cautiously, Melon peered into the box...to find a small, furry ball with huge eyes staring up at him. "It's a kitten. Holy cow, this is what you were so scared of?" Laughing at Gypsy's fright, Melon Madness tossed the gemstone necklace he'd been holding Gypsy's way. "Here, I'll trade ya. You look like you're pretty fond of jewelery yourself," he said, noting Gypsy's cutie mark and earring. "Or if not, you can give it to your girlfriend. I'd suggest the latter if you want to keep her happy with you."Gypsy caught the necklace, looking at Mel with wide eyes as if still unsure what was happening. He seemed a bit confused about what Mel meant by 'girlfriend' and glanced at Globe Trotter a couple of times to try to work out what me meant. He gave no objection to the trade, however. It wasn't as if he had enough to feed himself, let alone another mouth. There was no way he could afford to keep a pet, especially with how much he traveled.Still snickering, the Mel scooped up the box with the kitten inside and walked back to Asch. "See? What'd I tell ya?" he said, holding out the box to show the black pegasus the animal. "These packages really could have anything in them. Those Apples sure have a sense of humor."

"Open it, open it!" Trot urged, saving her own package for after. She wanted to see what needed holes in the box. She wondered if it was a plant, or maybe a little critter...pets were nice to have for some, but she'd never had one before, simply because she didn't have a 'home' other than where her parents lived. Many of the places she went to weren't pet friendly, and since she didn't have anywhere to leave it when she explored, it was better not to have any. She did love all kinds of animals, though, and when the kitten was revealed, she moved in closer even as Gypsy jumped backwards. "Aw...it's so cute!" she cooed softly before another pegasus butted in. She looked up in surprise, watching the trade with a little frown. "Well, that was a bit rude," she said once he'd flown off again, looking back at Gypsy. He could have at least asked the spotted male if he wanted to trade, rather than telling him. "I feel bad for the poor kitten...snatched away like that. Are you all right?" she added belatedly, realizing how surprised Gypsy had been.

Current Location: The large Apple farm, near Ponyville Current Company: An angry unicorn and a curious pegasus Oh, Our Cookies: *Google Translate says "se iniuriam" means "harm self." "I specifically heard of the results" Cobalt Lightning quickly corrected Mirror Shards, "and is why I was under the assumption it was simple enchantments, your defensive nature deems it true. You've also just as easily disprove my opinion that you were quite the capable magi, using such robust magic, and as such was willing to communicate about it and even experiment a little. Clearly I was wrong." From the rather negative manner of the blue unicorn, the orange's glare became rather cold, and easy to compare to a fellow guardsman in Canterlot.
From the question of how to silence another, Cobalt Lightning tilted his head slightly, only to realize the ruse a moment later; why else would Mirror Shard ask how to silence another from the talk of enchanting inanimate objects? "That would be the *Se Iniuriam spell. I doubt you could fathom it, though. Prove me wrong again, if you can use unoptimized spells, then surely you can cast this one." With anticipation, though careful not to show it, Cobalt simply watched as Mirror would end up harming himself, as long as he fell for the ruse planted by the mage. holloween-hound I would honestly skip Cuddly again, not seen her on all day :u

Nine lives began to feel a little dizzy, looking from unicorn to unicorn. He was touched that he was given the little box of broken pieces, smiling quite happily to have it. He gently took the box, grasping it by a little ribbon tied around it. "Oh the last one? I was in a hurry and I stepped in this old mare's petunias..." He bowed his head a little. "She said she put a hex on me, and I kept tripping the whole week after, but its probably just self-fulfilling prophecies huh? I get lost inside my own head sometimes." He admitted with a sheepish smile. The pegasus' attention was drawn by a sudden cry out in the crowd... he supposed now was as good a time as any to go investigate the idea of presents. He gave a tip of his wing towards the pair of unicorns. "Um, well! Happy hearts and hooves day... I'll be by your shop later, I promise! I'll be careful too!" he added to the salespony, though he didn't know the stallions name... He'd find out later!
He headed to the little circle of gifts, grabbing one out randomly to go with his broken mirror... his gaze was stuck on the little kitten that had appeared, but he didn't want to be rude-- so he made as though he was simply there to pick up his own gift... A moment of feeling itchy he felt inclined to speak up, ears back as he trotted towards Melon. "D-do you have everything to take care of him... her? I have a lot of extra supplies back home if you don't. Litter boxes, food, toys..." he smiled a little, hoping that the offer was helpful. holloween-hound Thank you for being patient! Shadow smiled slightly as he was turned down. "Well it doesn't have to be at my house, it could be some were else if you want." he said blushing. He thought as he imagined himself banging his head on a wood post for hours. As he rubed one leg as he just looked down, then he was on the ground with what looked like a cupid plunger arrow on the back of his head. As Light began to look at the table with all the presants again, and happened to come across one addressed to Shadow "Ohh I better take this to big brother." She said as she picked up the box with magic it felt oddly light then began to trot over to the stall were shadow was.

Asch looks into his box and his eyes light up, "Ohhhhh~" He gasps at the little silver music box inside, "It's beautiful...." He closes it again and ties it up tight so that he could put it in his saddle bag with out the fear of it getting broken. He looks at Mel with the kitten and smiles slightly, "He's really cute, and he seems fond of you."

It took a little while to recover from his shock, but when Gypsy finally did, he blinked at Globe Trotter blankly. "I'm sorry, I-I...I overreacted," he apologized, ashamed of how he'd acted. Especially in front of Trot. Reddening deeply, he looked down at his hooves. "I'm fine, though. Um...did you want me to get it back?" he asked, glancing back at her out the corner of his eye. "I can if you'd like. I just...er, I thought he might have been able to take care of it better than I could. That was pretty rude, though," he agreed.
It was then he remembered that the rude pegasus had given him something in exchange for the tiny feline. Smiling shyly, he held up the gemstone necklace. "So...would you prefer this, or the kitten?" Not that Trot was his girlfriend or anything, as the other had suggested. That was just silly; they'd only just met. Still, he was enjoying the time spent with her and he would have liked to give her something in return; something more than a little show.
Lacking a great deal in worldly possessions or currency, however, there wasn't a whole lot he could offer her. Gypsy sincerely hoped she wouldn't think him cheap for offering her a gift that he himself had just received, but he wouldn't have blamed her if she did, either. It did seem pretty lame."I've heard enough of your lies," Mirror grumbled, haughtily turning away from the ranting chatterbox of a unicorn. He didn't know what the other meant about hearing of the results because there wasn't any way he could have. The records of his magical studies involving his glass works were locked up safely in his private abode having been entrusted to him by his parents.
As their only son, no pony else could have known what such spells and magics consisted of. The mere claim that this burnt orange unicorn thought he knew what he was talking about was insulting. He wasn't about to hear any more of it, nor waste any more of his time or energy in responding further. The other hadn't seemed to catch his rather obvious hint that Mirror Shards wanted him to be quiet - or, if he had, chose to ignore it - so the blue unicorn simply chose to ignore his persistent chatter in turn.
Turning back to the blue pegasus from earlier, Mirror smirked slightly at the mention of the petunias. Bad luck indeed. Or did he just need to be more careful? Whatever the case, he became a little more curious regarding the pegasus' nature and what his cutie mark meant. He'd never known another pony to guess at the punishment of breaking his wares and then accept it so willingly. Moreover, he didn't seem to hold any ill will toward Mirror regardless of the spell and his intimidating manner of speaking to him before.
What caught Mirror's attention most, however, was the fact that the pegasus hadn't wanted to throw the glass away nor attempt to recreate or fix what had once been, but to use the broken shards to make something new entirely. Hadn't that been his favorite things to do as a foal?
"Mm...come by again later, will you?" he called to the pegasus before the stallion headed off. "I'd like to ask you about something." Shaking his head musingly, Mirror Shards continued to ponder the mysterious pegasus as he returned to his stall."Oh, okay," Forest answered Shadow more cheerfully. "Well, why don't we enjoy the festivities around here, first? This place seems as good a place as any to have lunch together don't you think?" She had glanced around the farm as she spoke, thinking again of those juicy, delicious apples before she turned back to Shadow and saw him on the ground with a plunger stuck to his head. "Oh, no! Shadow Fire, are you okay?" She knelt to check on him as well as help him up, wondering if he was conscious. Looking around, she tried to spot the culprit who had shot the plunger arrow."Whoa, that's a cool one," Mel noted, nodding toward Asch's music box. "What song does it play?" Just then, however, a blue pegasus came over, seeming interested in the kitten Mel still had in the box.
"Actually, I don't," Mel confessed. "I don't know if kittens can live in Cloudsdale. I don't even know if this little guy is a boy or a girl. You seem like you're pretty knowledgeable about cats, though," he said, pointing a hoof at the other's cutie mark. "What's your name? You have cats of your own?"

As Gypsy continued to recover from his recoil, Trot decided to open her own package. She did so carefully, just in case something was alive in there and ready to jump out as well, but when she opened the present there was a very not-alive necklace inside. There was a large opal pendant on the chain, which was sturdy but still very pretty, and the whole thing seemed very intricate. It had a weight about it that didn't seem normal, and when she lifted it out, she got a feeling of age from it. "Wow," she murmured softly, turning it this way and that, the opal catching the light and seeming to burn in the sun. "This feels kind of funny," she murmured, but rested it on the ground as Gypsy spoke again. "Oh no, it's all right! I would have been surprised as well. I wonder what the Apples were thinking with the kitten, though...not everypony can afford to take an animal in," she said, glancing back down at her own present. And how had a family of farm ponies gotten their hooves on something like this? It was magnificent enough to look at, let alone hold in her hoof. There had to be something else to it. The question made her raise her head again, a surprise look on her face. Blue eyes shifted to the gem in the necklace Gypsy was offering her, and her ears pressed back for a moment in surprise. "Well...if I had to pick one I'd say that," she said, nodding towards the necklace. "I love kittens as much as the next pony, but like you I don't really have the means to care for one. Especially not one so young," she added, giving him a little smile. "But you don't have to give that to me...I think it would look rather dashing on you, to be honest! Perhaps you could take it off the necklace and fashion it into some other piece of jewelry, or braid it into your mane? I think the color would offset your bells very nicely."

Digi walked up to the farm seeing all the festivity's sighing to himself,"this seems to be the place, I know I'm late, but better late then never." He pulled out a picture and looked at it, smiled, and started trotting down to the event. Looking around he sighed again not really sure what to do, so he trots over to a table an levitates a candied apple to himself. Looking around once again seeing other ponies opening gifts, he decides to trots over to a tree and sits down watching the other ponies open there presents, as he takes a bite out of the apple.(ooc: I think I did this right, oh and numbah 9 If I may)
