Sam and Carrion - Feral OrakovansCompany: Kadryn Position: Merchant StallsThe big Gaili stood back as Kadryn set to work, rustling his wings out to prevent his curious kid from waddling over and getting in her way. Carrion huffed in annoyance and stuck his nose beneath Sam's wing. He couldn't care one way or another about her cooking! He just had to be certain she didn't try and poison them. He growled softly as he watched. Yes, her and her... uncle seemed pleasant enough. But it was probably just a ruse to be rid of a few more Khehora. Carrion's Da was just stupid and didn't see the ploy for what it really was. Foolish old man.
But Sam only chuckled at the family's banter. "That sounds delicious, little tyke." He hummed in amusement. "Thank you."

Apple Blossom19 I'm calling it quits with this post~ We kept it going for a while, and it should be ending soon, so I hope that's alright~ Oblivion - Feral Diabi Company: Avani and Rosetta Position: Observation Station
Oblivion settled in for the show. The girls seemed comfortable enough that they should be able to keep each other company without him interfer- Ooh, a snack. He lapped the offered sandwich from Avani's hand without waiting for anymore of an invitation. Well, what did she need it for? It's not like they'd be here too long after the big event... He purred in thanks, giving her hand an affectionate nuzzle before leaned down onto his stomach, his claws splayed out before him. He was close enough that his feathers brushed protectively against the little orange-haired Orderite. That should keep anyone else from approaching them, at least, so all he had to worry about was enjoying the stars.

Fluffesu I'mma gonna quit with this post too unless Rosebud posts ^_^ Avani - Orderite Farmer Apprentice Company: Oblivion and Rosetta Position: Observation Station
Avani laughed at her empty hand as Oblivion nuzzled it. He was just one big overgrown Silx! She leaned back and looked to the sky. She could see some streaking across the sky. She felt Oblivion's feather's and felt safe enough with him around that she could enjoy the show without worrying about people bothering them. She hoped the other girl wouldn't mind him, he didn't seem like the kind to eat little girls.

Ending Thanks for playing guys! Here's the last Mule post, after this you can finish your RP's and head home~ All of a sudden dashes of light flashed across the skies, the star shower had started! Like a vertical rain of light across the night sky, the meteor shower filled the skies with falling stars that burned brightly for a second then vanished. Appreciative gasps came from the crowds watching. For several minutes it continued before the shower began to lessen. As people began to pack up a sudden flare of light, righter than the rest caused them all to stop and look back to the sky. A single huge ball of flashing light streaked across the skies: illuminating the land briefly before it crashed into the west. Another lesser flare off to the west showed that this falling star had actually fallen to the earth! The mages began to babble excitedly: a falling star had hit the lands! What mysteries would it hold? That would have to wait for a while.... now they had to find where it landed.... Watch this for some idea on what it looked like.

Kadryn chuckled and shook her head at Samael's quip. She was just putting in the final touches of the food when she heard the crowd's exclamation and looked upwards. All above her small dashes of light swarmed across the skies. It was certainly worth the long trip here! Keeping one eye above to watch the show, she served the soup into two large bowls and placed them on a tale for the Khehora's to eat from. She served some or herself and sat down, eyes still on the skies. "That's pretty. Like a rain of light."

Sam and Carrion - Feral OrakovansCompany: Kadryn Position: Merchant StallsThe show was beautiful. And a good way to pass the time while waiting for Kadryn's stew to be finished! It was also a decent distraction from Carrion's wayward grumbling... Sam still didn't understand what exactly he had against the woman, but it must've been pretty serious if he turned his nose up at even her stewy offering. Oh well, wasn't really his business. Carrion was an adult now, and if he wanted to be a grump, then let him! With a shrug, Sam perched on the ground next to Kadryn, his maw pointed to the sky.
It was a pretty show, with tiny fires streaking through the blackness before they fizzled out. He could almost imagine it was little bugs dancing in the sky. Like some weird insect mating dance. The Gaili hummed in amusement then lapped up a few mouthfuls from the bowl. Mmm... Eating something cooked was a like a delicacy to him. Khehorian or not, kitchens and eating utensils were still something he hadn't ventured to attempt yet. But with a friends like Kadryn, did he really need to? She was obviously very good at it...
When all was said and done, the show was over, and he'd eaten his (and Carrion's, the little turd) stew, he turned to Kadryn was a smile. "Thank you for letting us taste your cooking and enjoying the show with us." He gave Carrion a rough nudge with his wing and a warning growl.
"Yeah, thanks..." The Ayrala muttered after a moment, giving the blue woman his most heartfelt glare.
Sam rolled his eyes. "Well, I'm happy, anyway. But for now I should probably be off. My clan is waiting back home for me!" With another nod of thanks, Sam grinned and took to the skies, with Carrion only a beat behind. He... somehow thought he could almost smell burning rock... Nah! Probably just scents from the festival he was leaving behind!

Raemos: Observation Station
Raemos was about to reply when he looked up. His jaw dropped, and he gaped at the awesome sight above him.
For a moment, he was lost in the flashing rain of lights. He could almost imagine being up there with them - no, in his mind he WAS up there with them. He was a star, far above mortals, yet now hurtling towards magesc, his body blazing with light, his fate rushing to meet him as he burned with his doom and with its ecstatic realization...
And then, all too soon, it was over. The star shower ended, and he was no longer, in his imagination, among them. He was mortal again, on the ground again, in this horrible, disgusting, freakish body again. He felt wetness on his face and brought his hand to his cheek.
Tears, leaked through his goggles. Quickly, checking to see if anybody was watching, he lifted them and wiped his eyes before replacing them.
"That was... incredible..." he said to Maeron, his voice rough from the emotions that still stirred within him, the longing for the sky and for the freedom of those stars as they fell away, the beauty of the sight - as he had seen it - still ringing in his mind. "I... need to find my family. Meet you tomorrow, sir?" he said, and he was off... before he started crying again.
Suluksati: Hybrid Camp
Suluksati looked up, up into the sky as the shower of light fell. when it ended, she was saddened, for it had been beautiful. She closed her eyes, thinking of the inevitable doom of those stars. It reminded her, so, of the inevitability of her failures.
But it also reminded her of her hope - that she yet lived. She remained as close to the Hybrid camp as she was allowed for the remainder of the night, intending to leave at dawn, her resolve strengthened to her cause.

Maeron Aredan - Adept Orderite WarriorCompany: Raemos Position: Observation StationTheir conversation lapsed into silence, and as the level of excitement on the observation deck rose, Mae found himself turning his face skyward. Man, he'd wanted to be nestled in a comfortable niche, able to watch the show while settled down high on the mountaintop... It couldn't be helped now. All he could do was stare up in wonder as tiny, white hot flashes darted across the dark sky. After a moment, Darke's feathers brushed against his arm. The Alihora may have positively abhorred Raemos, but that certainly wasn't going to stop him from being at Mae's side for this.
They watched together for several moments, until the lights started to fizzle out, leaving the sky momentarily black and igniting a spark of thrilled chatter from the rest of the onlookers. Mae was pretty sure he heard some young children squealing in delight when another, larger burst of light lit up the sky for merely an instant before it vanished over the horizon. Had it... landed? He tried not to dwell on it, no matter how interesting it was, and instead turned back to the younger boy.
He sounded... kinda strange, but before Mae could ask of it, he was murmuring out a farewell and departing hastily. "Tomorrow." Mae agreed with a nod as the youngster scampered off, leaving he and Darke alone in the crowd. The Orderite shrugged. Tomorrow would come soon enough. For now, he had to find a patch of rocks that looked even slightly more comfortable and secluded from everyone else. He patted the side of Darke's maw and then headed off in search of someplace to snooze for a bit.
