Jarel stumbled forward and Matt quickly got into a crouch upon the top turnbuckle. Without waiting, he launched himself at Jarel's form and attempted to plant Jarel's face into the canvas with and Over Castle Bulldog! If he would unlucky enough to turn around it would be a neck breaker! Same basic motion, two very different outcomes. ((Over castle is basically just diving forward and trying to grab the other by the head/neck/whatever 3nodding ))

unfortunately for Jarel, Matt's high flying offense can finally kick in, as the over castle drives his face to the mat and he bounces up to land on his back, dazed from the impact of head meeting the mat

Almost frantically, Matt rolled onto his stomach and quickly crawled over to the dazed form of Jarel and attempted to cover the big guy. Maybe, just maybe, if the stars were aligned just right he could pick up the win from that bit of high flying daring do! After all, he was almost desperate here!

one...two...th... Jarel kicks out and sits up, a familiar scowl on his face as the crowd cheers. His head snaps towards Matt and he reaches over to grab the smaller man by the throat as he gets back to his feet. Should this particular bit of brutality be successful, the Dragon would attempt to lift his smaller foe one handed and plant him with a chokeslam

Jarel kicked out of the pin, a pin that had been so incredibly close too, and sat up! Though that was to be expected, however it didn't really change anything. Matt's face quickly transformed from it's scowl into one of panic as the big man wrapped his hand around his throat. Jarel got up to his feet, as well as pulling Matt up to his own, and the crowd's cheering hit a fever pitch! They knew what was coming! Hell EVERYONE knew what was coming! Jarel went to lift him, and Matt kicked up off of the canvas and attempted to backflip out of the Dragon's grasp! There was something you didn't see everyday! If he were able to free himself, Matt would once again show off his cat like reflexes and land on his feet before attempting to catch the inside of Jarel's left knee with a basement dropkick!

Jarel finds himself going to the mat again, as the dropkick connects at an awkward angle. the Dragon remains down on his back, the idea that he cannot afford an injury heading into a world title match fleeting across his mind

Once again Matt managed to save himself from certain doom, with a little help from his athletic prowess and the fact that Jarel was starting to suffer the effects of the effects of the damage done to his left knee. Actually it was mainly the damage to the knee, but whatever. Matt got back up to his feet and several things ran through his mind. One Jarel was down, possibly for the count, and the second was that the chair was still in the ring. Going with option two, Matt quickly went over and grabbed the chair that had been knocked from his hands earlier. He quickly made his way back to Jarel and attempted to slam the top of the chair down onto the Dragon's left knee! It would piss him off more then anything, but it would also hurt like son of a b***h!

jarel is already down and a hard shot to an already pained knee is not helping him, though he does sit up, it is a reflex to reach for his hurt knee

Jarel sat up out of reflex, and Matt quickly changed how he was holding the chair. By that he tossed it up and grabbed in by the legs. He then attempted to blast Jarel in the head with another chair shot! This time the man was surely preoccupied with the pain in his knee! Right? Maybe? CHAIR SHOT TO THE FACE! scream

it is unfortunate for Jarel that he is preoccupied, as he's quickly blasted in the face with the chair and knocked to the mat. apparently this is what he gets for hanging a guy

After nailing Jarel in the face with the chair, Matt stood there for a moment and simply looked down at the Legend. He didn't hate the man, in fact he had been a fair boss. However that was at a different place in another time, right now Matt one thing in mind: breaking through that glass ceiling and showing the world just who he was and what he did! With a deep breath before hand, Matt would try and slam the chair down onto Jarel's knee once again! If it meant crippling a man, then so be it. HE WOULD NOT BE DENIED! scream

there comes a time in a match where there's so much pain there's no point in moving to respond to it. this is one of those points. Jarel desperately needs to get vertical, even if only for a few seconds, but the chair is slammed down on his knee yet again, so instead he remains on the mat, the only sign of motion the slight jerk of the impact of chair meeting knee

That shot had done nicely, and since Jarel didn't seem to do much other the twitch, why not another? Then another, and another after that? Well that's exactly what Matt was going to do! He brought the chair up and attempted to slam it down onto the knee again, only this time faster then before. If that one hit Matt would try to connect a few more times! Each faster then the last! His face the picture of fury as he did so.

this time, however, Jarel does react. As matt looks to bring the chair down the first time, Jarel attempts to kick it back into the smaller man's face with his good leg while using his not so great leg to attempt to kick Matt in the right knee, an attempt to bring the hopefully dazed man down. should this work, he would sit up long enough to grab Draven's arm and pull him down into a triangle choke

Considering that Matt was standing on Jarel's left side and the fact that Jarel was laying flat on his back, well things didn't go exactly as the Dragon would have liked. Jarel's boot collided with the chair and bounced off, causing Matt to stagger back into the ropes. Which also allowed Jarel to resemble a large fish flopping on dry land as he went for the other kick, with the leg that hurt like hell. Mildly upset, Matt lunged from his position and attempted to slam the chair into Jarel's one last time as he was partially sitting up! There was a time and place for things, and this was no time nor place to try and show just stubborn he was! It would avoid injuries if he did.
