I remember reading about that stuff when I did it the first time actually actually.

In the first two weeks or so I could easily say that I get grumpy, and sleepy, a bit fuzzy headed stuff like that. But when I was about a month into it I actually felt A LOT BETTER. It was weird, like a switch went off in my head.

You know I've got the whole anxiety thing blahblahblah, and a lot of the sub issues with that became easier to deal with (I guess that's the best way to put it lol), it was actually the longest I abstained from SI since I was what, like 13? The boyfriend actually commented on that, stopped seeing weird bruises and cuts and stuff on cam and asked me about it, and (he does Keto too, though he's less carb restricted than me since he works out) and I mentioned how much more alive I felt on the diet.

My Uncle who I work with never said anything like that, but I got a lot of my motivation back, going into work early and getting s**t done. Stuff like that~

On the FORGETFULNESS though, I'm a little derpy at the best of times, so if it did affect cognitive functions I never noticed it to be bad enough to where I was affected to the point where I couldn't do my job or anything like that. c:

The data does seem to be a mixed bag, as long as you are self monitoring and looking after yourself. Remember we care about you.

Im glad that you are abstaining, I know at times I struggle with certain things in my life. Im kinda luckily that I know I can lay back and just imagine doing things. I have been lucky that I have to many reasons not to show pain outside my body (Im a massive internaliser, and I dont want anyone to notice).

XD thats fair enough then, Im quite self judgy, and as such self monitor pretty constantly, so I tend to be pretty aware of changes in my behaviour.

Picked up some water with electrolytes and ate an avocado.
Gross.
I hate avocados without onions and tomatoes, and garlic and stuff. BUT IT WAS NECESSARY.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE avacado. Avacado straight from the fruit with nothing else added is delicious. One of my fave fruits. One I would buy a lot more if I wasnt always living on a restricted budget.

Onions Im not a big fan of, unless caremalised, or diced finely and cooked into something so you cant tell they are there any more. Tomato depends on my mood, if I am in the mood I dont mind it raw. Im not a fan of chunks of tomato cooked into things. And when it comes to puree its fine on things like pizza. But as a pasta sauce base, not really a fan either.

I have tried to like avocados. Really, I have. But there's just something...slimy about them that is just igh. :<

I love onions except for carmelized ones. xD
They remind me of worms. Though I'm down with the tomatoes, there's kind of something boogerish about a hot chunk of tomato that you find in like the middle of a lasagna or spaghetti sauce or tomato soup. Kind of ruins it. They give me killer heart burn though so I try to stay away from acidic stuff as much as I can though.

Dunno I find fresh avacado good, though if its been exposed to air for more than like 20-30 mins it does go downhill pretty quick.

Yeah for me I think part of it was when I was young (like under 10) I used to stay at my Nanas house sometimes and she LOVED big a** hunks of tomato in EVERYTHING....and her fave meals to cook were....slop like mixes of a bunch of veges and meat (kinda like war time food...I guess that was more her vintage though...) but yeah that definitly put me off for life, when ever I get hunks of cooked tomato it reminds me of those meals (Which also usually had big hunks of onion). Definitly boggerish I agree.

Im fine with acidic foods, not many foods really give me stomach issues. The only thing I can really think of which causes me pain to consume is dark liquors like rum/whisky....though that usually goes away after like 20 mins of stomach cramping pain...still I tend to avoid them.

Of course ^_^

Thanks~
It's gotten easier for me to cope, I'm not under nearly as much stress as I was when it started up again since my grandmother died. My uncle and I are bottlers, it probably comes from how we were raised lol. But I have a short fuse, so it's not hard to get me to spill either. @___@

I remember you mentioning that a while back in a PM actually. As long as you can cope with you though (that was a really awkward sentence sorry) I don't think it's too much of an issue as long as you can function, introverted or otherwise~~

Yeah I was raised in a family where emotions were never on the table to be discussed. As such I became very accustom to keeping it all in. It works for me mostly.

Like when one of my childhood friends past away this summer I managed to keep it so that basically only one other person knew. And thats because I couldnt keep back tears when I read that he only had a couple days at most left in him (He had been fighting cystic fibrosis his entire life, and had a lung transplant earlier in the year which didnt go as good as it could have) but when I read that he had past I was pretty much ready to cope with it so still managed to run all my activitys for that day without letting anyone know.

Nah it makes sense, as long as I keep myself distracted things are all good, and in this world its pretty easy to find distractions, Im just used to work being one of the best distractions, so I really hope I find something soon. I kinda wish job applications would at least give a auto reply or any reply just stating they recieved the application. I havent heard anything from anyone yet, besides one internship I inquired aboutw which ended up they were advertising for positions starting in april....and decided not to include that in thier advertisment.

That is so true, you almost have to have a lemon or a lime right on hand if you're not going to eat the entire thing all at once.

Makes sense xD
I was pretty fortunate that my grandmother was an excellent cook, but there were days when she was very...loving of her native foods. Like raw meats and stuff (I can barely eat any kind of pink meats, and I HATE fish), deep atlantic fish, blue cheese. So kinda similar, I can't really eat stuff like that now just because it's kind of icky 'cause I ate so much of it growing up. xD
The only thing she ever made like that though was this stuff called...well it was in Danish and I have no idea how to spell it but it's sounds like, Big-sah-muhl. It's basically like 'take s**t from the fridge and cook it, put a fried egg on top and eat it.'

Good then, but I can't eat stuff like that now way to rich and...fleshy.

Yeah I dont really know of any excellent cooks in my family. There are some okay ones though. I like my mums cooking but I feel she is limited by not really being willing to experiment as much. Though I feel thats because my dad is also not so excited about trying new things so...Im kind of a black sheep in more wanting to try new stuff I guess.

Yeah im not so big on fish, and I preffer my meat medium well.

My family was a bit similar. But, I'm not very good at bottling lol.
The downside with me on the stuff that I do manage to hold down is coupled with a very short fuse. xD

I'LL ADMIT IT. I'M HELLA FEISTY.

Aw. :<
Wow, that's heavy. I wish I had something better to say than some little cliche thing like "I'm sorry for your loss", and I am, but you know I got your back and that's enough. But I know what that's like, day after my grandmother died I was right back at work, doing what I do, it's probably one of the hardest days I've ever had.

I hate looking through ads.
They do the same thing with rental properties, like one huge requirement for me is that the place HAS TO ALLOW PETS.
My dog is MY DOG, you know? I can't just leave her. There was a whole thing where I was dealing with this one idiot on the phone who was "new" (that was the excuse) and assured me the entire thing allowed pets, but when I brought Daisy's papers and stuff, another lady was like "WTF we don't take pets."

I'm sure you'll find something soon though. c:

Between the three of my family we're all pretty good.
My grandmother did the whole Danish thing, my uncle has 25 years of food service experience, and then there's me who is just so naturally talented. ;3
Basically, I like to play around and it usually turns out thumbs up. c:

Kind of reminds me of one of my friend's family. xD
But at least you've gotten to try a lot of different stuff as you've SCOURED THE WORLD. Or just on the cruise ship thing, yeah?

Yeah Ive definitly got to tried quite a few things around the world.

My fave dish is still the dish cooked by someone else XD. Not the biggest cook myself. But again I would probally cook more if I was looking to spend more than a few dollars a day on food sweatdrop

Yeah I dont really do anger, I cant remember the last time I felt angry or frustrated. I know people who try and get me angry or frustrated normally frustrate themselves in the process.

The first time I heard my parents have a argument I was ~14...it really freaked me out. I have maybe heard them have like one other one since then.

Though when I was young I had a lot of anger, up until I was like 12...then I kinda ran out XD.

Sadly it wasnt really a too big thing for me. Sure it was sad, but he had a pretty good life considering his condition. And well although hes the only person Ive lost recently hes not the first person Ive lost.

In terms of grandads lost one grandad when I was like 12 and the other when I was like 14?

Yeah pets definitly make things hard, they are one of the things I miss the most about being a traveller. My visa is until april 23rd, I hope to be in a job by then which would be able to vouch for me, and apply for me to be be able to get a extension. If not...I have no idea what I will do.

Being angry is a pain in the butt lol. I've always gone the way of saying I'm "passionate" and jokingly saying that "Anger is a gift." XD

That's hilarious actually.
*Calm face sitting there, displaying case and arguments*
*Bumbling argument of slightly insulting facts portrayed in an arrogant way having no effect*

That's good, I'm glad you're not torn up over it or anything like that. Not a goooood place to be.
I've lost a lot of people/things in my life (that sounds so wahwahI'm13sorry), my grandmother's husband died of lung cancer in 1990, though the guy who I identified with as my grandfather had a massive stroke (that was a scary experience), watched my cat get her neck broken by a pitbull last year (horrific, had to throw it in), and then my grandmother who recently died from liver failure. But that stuff has kind of molded me into the person I am, I do really well under pressure. Like with the stroke thing I remember being like 8 years old and running back and forth and freaking out because I'd never experienced anything like that before, called 911. Saved my grandmothers life like three times. Once when she fell down off the bed and hit her head so hard she couldn't speak any english anymore, just Danish, another time she fell in the bathroom and clocked herself on the toilet, throwing up blood and stuff and was still insisting she was fine rolleyes , and then towards the end just making sure she was clean and fed and morphined UP.

When people give me bad news it's always just kinda. "Okay. It could get worse. Don't worry, let's figure it out." XD

Well, I'm pretty confident you'll find something soon, and from what I understand it's not like you're lazy, so the pieces will come together I'm sure. c:

I wouldnt say anger is a bad thing. I believe it is a necessary emotion, and if utalised properally can be a very powerful driving force to achieve various stuffs.

Kind of reminds me of the chihuahua we had before we had that dog (Not that I really consider a chihuahua to be a real dog) who I had shared various things about. (So yeah when I was around 7- cool . Anyway one day when mum was in the front gardern with it. This guy was walked his german sheppards past the house, and they managed to break his grip, and catch it, throwing it around like a rag doll. That too was a broken back and had to be put down.

Yeah you have definitly had lots of early learning curves. And I agree it is people who are exposed to difficulties growing up that are the most "aware" and "mature" adults (Often even when they are still teens). One of my grandads was taken out by a stoke as well. Kind of surprising considering that he lost his stomach to cancer about a year earlier. Though it wasnt the first stroke that got him, he was actually starting to recover from the first stroke, able to feed himself with a bit of help (No speech though), but that was just a tease, about two weeks after the first one, the second on killed him.

Yeah I always tell people Im not hurt no matter how hurt I am, I am used to passing off pain, because normally when I get hurt Im in a place where I cant really get time off. Although when I get older I will probally have to reside to the fact that I might need help from others.

Yeah, Im spending a good minimum of several hours a day on a dedicated job search (Not like I am really doing anything besides that atm anyways). But yeah when I am working I am the do overtime without asking for extra, make sure things get done, run myself into the ground sort of hard worker. Because I have pretty much worked well over half my life, so its always been a normal thing to me.

I just gotta say awesome for you!!

I've actually considered the Ketogenic diet before (partially for weight loss but mostly because I have Epilepsy and the drugs make me feel like poop) but it sounded way too hard and also I'm beyond broke right now so it's more like clearance rack and coupons diet. How hard has it been for you to stick to it? I mean obviously you're doing a great job if you've lost over a hundred pounds... but I guess I just want to know like what the rest of your life circumstances are and how well it fits into the routine you had before and how much you had to change?

Does that make any sense?
