Yute offered no comment in response to Eamonn. It wasn't so much that Yute felt like he was keeping Lia alive, but rather if the young woman died Yute would have no junctioner. Without that, a GF could not in theory remain summoned as Yute were. Perhaps he would be forced back from were he had come from. It was not like the GF had ever experienced what it was like for Lia to die. However, Yute's eyes did glance to the scarf around the girls neck. The thing that kept her soaked body from freezing and was keeping her core temperature maintained even if her blood loss was chilling the extremities of her body. So, in a way, Yute being around was ensuring Lia didn't die from that. Eamonn had already lifted Lia and started to carry her, to which Yute fell into step right behind him, acting to keep the male's back protected. Perhaps another GF could have noticed, but not any of the others. Due to Lia's state, Yute was not fueling his summoning through Lia's energy. He was offering up his own life to keep burning and keep the scarf around the girl's neck. A risky gambit, but if Lia died, it was the end anyways.
Undine could not say she was pleased with how things had gone down. She could have just left the firey male and the young woman to die here, after all she'd still get what she wanted which was them out of her territory. Something about the girl bothered her though, and to see her die in Undine's territory after Undine had granted her passage... was not a pleasing notion. "Do not thank me yet, firey human. I simply do not like that she was struck while speaking to me. This is me making up for that." Undine responded, not offering to look back. Her voice no longer seemed to echo across the terrain, likely to avoid calling more attention to them.
Behind them, Koyuki had hurried into giving orders and Kyes had taken to helping Evans along. It didn't take long for Arel to catch up, in fact he seemed rushed as he rounded the bend in the ravine and saw only Koyuki standing at the top. "What the hell happened. If Galbadia was following us, they know we're here now after that." He called as he hurried up the ravine. Clearly he had made the decision when he had heard the commotion to catch up. He was right, of course. This was the second carrying sound in the wasteland. Anyone in the area would have been able to hear the fighting. Either way, Arel had caught up and it was time for Koyuki to hurry back to the group as well.
Undine lead them around the edge of a cliff face that lead to a huge drop, the same drop that Eamonn had sent the monster from before into. There was nothing in any direction that symbolized a city, which was probably disheartening to Eamonn. There was no way for him to carrying Lia a long distance and hope she'd live long enough to get medical attention. Undine didn't seem bothered by this though, in fact her eyes were looking around intently. They finally came to a stop at the edge of the cliff, staring out into the emptyness before them. Undine shifted along the edge, looking for something. "These blasted humans and their technology. I will never understand why they go through this trouble." Undine was complaining about something before she seemed to find what she was looking for, reaching her hand out and moving it across the air. There was a moment of delay, and then a mechanical sound as a platform extended from the cliff face in front of Eamonn several yards followed by a grinding sound as a dark passage slowly appeared in front of them, likely a gate that had been opened by Undine.
"I do not know where this leads, but I have seen those from Esthar using it before, nearly two years ago. A male with green hair was helping a white haired lad and a little girl find the entrance. I assume it leads into the city. I cannot follow you inside. This is my territory and it would be dangerous for me to leave it. Perhaps we will meet again, perhaps not." Undine slowly moved away from the group, her eyes lingering on the bloodied form of Lia for a moment. "If she recovers, I would like to speak with her again." With that, Undine crossed her arms and waited for them to leave, likely so she could close the passage behind them. Yute glanced at the GF one last time before slipping around Eamonn and making his way into the dark passageway first. If there was going to be trouble, it was clear Yute wanted to be the first to bear the brunt of it.
What they would find was not what they expected though. The hall itself had hexigon shaped metal that seemed to show the outside world, and lead for quite a distance before leading to a stairway that lead up. Up this, they would find a security door, and though they lacked the key to get in, there was a pad next to the door that had button for calling for assistance.
