Des blinked, as he flicked Cait back under the blanket. Muscle memory. What? He asked with a tilt of the head. He hadn't noticed Gabriel just yet.

Cait glanced and jerked her head towards Gabriel, frowning. She probably should've thought this one through a little more... Though she'd never known Gabriel to be sensitive to things in movies, no matter what they were.
Gabriel shrank into the couch and under the blanket, curling into himself and squeezing his eyes shut. There were some things that were just too uncomfortable to actually watch.

Des raised a curios brow before turning and glancing at Gabriel. Here he frowned, scooting closer to the boy. He turned, just enough so that he was facing Gabriel, back turned to Cait. Picking up the blanket, he was suddenly glad for how overly huge the blanket itself was, he could hike it up to his shoulder while still keeping himself and everyone covered. Or in some cases, hidden. Des threw Gabriel a curious glance before leaning over just enough so he could talk in the man's ear without disturbing Cait. "Are you okay?" He asked as placed a hand on Gabriel's arm.

Gabriel made a soft squeaking noise when Des touched his arm, flushing. Oh god, had someone noticed him? "F-fine," he said, and it was obviously a lie. "...A little freaked out."
Cait exhaled with relief, glad to see that someone was taking care of Gabriel. Poor idiot, he needed someone to keep an eye on him.

"Over... the movie? ...You know you don't have to watch it to humor me right?" Des tilted his head as he rubbed Gabriel's arm slightly. "You can go into the other room if you want. I won't mind, really."

Gabriel shook his head. "Nah, it's just one bit," he said, though without thinking, he wound his arm around Des's. Being close to him was actually pretty helpful - there was a real person next to him, not empty nothingness.

"Alright then." He said, moving to card his fingers through Gabriel's hair slightly. "Let me know if you don't wanna watch it anymore okay??" Des sat back up, setting the blanket back but never fully turned back around, and he never quite let go of Gabriel either.

Gabriel curled up against Des, almost as he would on an actual date. He hadn't even thought about it; it was simply instinct, especially with Des stroking his hair like that. "I'll be fine, I promise," he said. If anything, he could bury his face in Des's side.
Cait flicked her eyes over and smiled, sitting back and enjoying her accomplishment. Alright, it wasn't much, but goddamnit they were cuddling. That was just cute.

Des just nodded and returned to the movie. Every now and then either the hand in Gabriel's hair or the one on his arm would start up again before stopping. It was second hand nature to be touchy with Des. Between Cait, Alex, his friend Skylar and her brother? They were all very hands on and he ended up picking it up.

Having been friends with touchy people, Gabriel had come to simply accept it. And Des's touches were relaxing - to the degree that as the movie wound down, he actually began to fall asleep.
Cait made a soft murring noise, snuggling up against Des's side and dropping her head on his shoulder. She was warm and comfy and surrounded by people, and that, to her, seemed the perfect time to fall asleep.

Desmond just chuckled, flicking off the tv. With a yawn he made sure everyone was covered enough and got as comfortable as he could while being used as a pillow. Settling in, Des kept gently stroking Gabriel's hair until he fell asleep himself.
