He jumped and cursed like someone had fired off an air horn behind his head. But there were more pressing issues. Gagging, finally, more out of disgust than stink, he leaned over the body to squint back up, assuming the shiny thing had not fallen with it. But what is shiny. Is hook? Is pirate gold? Is terrifying metal toothed monster?

Fortunately for Gale, the body missed falling on top of him.
He stepped sideways anyway, wrinkling his nose, and stared up at the ceiling where the body had been hanging, trying to figure out if there was anything unusual about the area.
"See anything?"

Pandora was so busy going starry-eyed at Lawr's mystical knowledge, that when the body hit the ground, she let out a scream and darted entirely behind Lawr for a moment. She grabbed his arms and pulled them into a karate pose before he could so much as object. After she'd had enough time to compose herself, she eased off of using Lawr as a human shield and stepped out from around him to see what had happened for herself. She stomped over to the body began chiding the pair who had knocked it down. " Oh my god you two, can't you see poor Susan has had a bad enough day as it is?" She knelt down carefully beside the remains - just carefully enough not to have to touch the rotting body with her bare hands or, well, any of herself really. If she'd thought the smell was bad from the desks, it was deathly up close. "Huh. What have you been up to, Susan...?" There was something sticking out of the corpse's jacket pocket. After a few false starts, Pandora's instincts relented and she dug her hand into the pocket. That beach soap was about to come in real handy after this.

Jake was kinda there the whole time. In a corner. Being really quiet because he really didn't want to push any more of Caelius' buttons. That and he wasn't good at riddles.
And it stunk.

Lawr didn't much approve of being used as a human shield, it was usually him who was the one using other people for that purpose. But at least for the time being they were only really dealing with a body, as long as it didn't go zombie on them the way the creatures at wonder park had, they were just fine.
He wasn't about to touch the thing though, touching dead bodies left traces. Traces got you arrested. He'd been almost arrested one time and he never intended it to happen again.
He stepped back a few paces from the thing and simply observed Death hunters in action.
"Are you all sure messing with a theoretical crime scene is the wisest course of action?"

"Trust me, this is how it's done," the teenager chirped, hand-in-pocket-of-corpse, "I've watched, like, every episode of Sherlock."

Lawr didn't try and argue that Sherlock Holmes was a fictional character and instead simply smiled amicably. As long as he wasn't touching it.
"That's true! Perhaps you can solve this mystery!"

Inside the pocket was a cell phone. It was flashing one unread message. The area itself wasn't that unusual, other than the body, that was now suspended awkwardly, and the sign hanging from the body. The wall itself however, seemed very subtly different in tone of white than the rest of the unbroken wall meaning whomever had done this had come in, broken a wall, put a body in, and then tediously covered it up. The shining part seemed to be some sort of round, device, but it was hard to tell. Perhaps a hook? More lighting would be needed to investigate further. It was making weird noises, a sort of whirring sound.

Every hunter comes pre-equipped with a pocket flashlight. Taym just has the advantage of having one that's like, you know. Maneuverable. Avoiding the pile of... corpse... and all the people all up in his business investigating it (who got a cellphone, goddammit, that seemed so much better), he ignored Fionnghal's irritated gripes that being used as a Maglite was beneath her dignity, and used her as a Maglite. He looked up with more light but did not poke it again."Dunno, boss," he informed Gale drily. "It's making a racket, though. So I'm just... not going to touch it again. You're welcome to jump on that grenade if you want."

Gale wasn't sure he wanted to either, but how else were they supposed to learn anything if they did nothing?
He sighed.
"Okay, help me up," he said, gesturing to Taym, the chair, and possibly using Taym's shoulders as leverage. "I'm too short for this," he added with a grumble, in the same way that someone might say I'm too old for this.

"Oh, for ******** sake," he said, shooing Gale away. "If you really think it needs doing I'll do it." So he did. Taym poked the thing.

CLUNK.
Something fell down. A video camera. The red button was still flashing, and it was still whirring. It was modified with glowing orange runes, very similar to runic tech, only orange.

Oh. Oh s**t. Taym was easily outclassed. Without a word he stepped aside to let Gale handle that, unthinkingly using the handle end of Fiona to scratch at his head, nervously, before he realized that this too was beneath her dignity and put her away. :T

Gale resisted the urge to roll his eyes at Taym, but let him do his thing.
The video camera was given a suspicious look. Gale reached out, carefully picking it up, and turned it over in his hands. Then he held it up to see if there was any video left on it.
"The hell..?"

The recording button was still on. It seemed to be recording everything it was facing at the end of the lens.
