"Oh, sure~" Abbi's offer was accepted, and the muddy (but drying!) Trainee moved to take the spot near Abbi.
"It feels like being bit by a truck." Ripley replied without even a slight hint of embarrassment to Jack's tease. "Say what you will, that girl can hit." Ripley cringed, absently touching a bruise forming on his temple, where the last bit had landed.
"Nah, let him jab, one day I'll pay him back in kind." Ripley assured Fini with a smile. "Speaking of which..."
"HEY FINN! IF YOU LOSE YOU'RE BUYING US ALL DRINKS!!" He yelled with a grin.

The blow that he was expecting as he kneel in the sand never came. He waited for it...and it just didn't? .....Tuck what were you even messing around at? Not letting his opportunity to retaliate with a little more force go to waste, Finn struggled to his feet and swung again. He was just happy if he managed to land a hit at this point. Damage: 3 HP: 3

Tuck was starting to feel fatigued, but his next (and final) strike didn't show it. Herryk came down hard in an overhead swing, and Tuck immediately unsummoned his weapon once he was finished. He could feel the tenuous give and crack of the other man's Fear shield, and he wasn't going to pursue it further. It wasn't how this particular game was played -and it wasn't how Tuck ever sparred. He didn't fight to kill. He fought to hone his own skills, and he fought for fun. This was fun, nothing more. Tuck watched Finn carefully, ready to offer his shoulder if the other man needed someone to lean on. "Nicely done," Tuck offered quietly with a smile. HP 6 DMG 6

Look! A distraction!
Heidi gasped and turned back to watching the end of the match as Tuck gave Finn one last hit and unsummoned Herryk. "Did...did you..?"
Ohmygooooooooooosh!
"You did it! YoudidityoudidityoudiditeeeeeeeeeeeeeYAYTuckyaaaaaaaaay!" Heidi was jumping and clapping again, squealing with delight. He won! He won! He wooon! Oh, man! "That was such a good fight oh my gosh! You did really well, Finn!" It had been so close oh gosh.
"Oh! And you don't have to buy me any drinks, 'kay?" She wasn't sure if the white-haired boy had meant 'us' as in everyone present or Finn's friends but she still felt it necessary to assure him of this.

Finn was feeling more then just a little fatigued himself. That last swing had really taken a lot out of him, and while he thought he might be able to continue on, he was just feeling slightly woozy at the moment and a little bit like his body was moving in slow motion. He saw that battleaxe coming towards him, and yet he just couldn't move out of the way, could only barely brace himself for the blow that hit him.... .....and laid him out flat on the sand. Huh? How had he gotten here? Trynt had gone oddly silent, save for a small and quiet hiss of agitation. When he turned his head to look at his hand, he saw that his weapon had desummoned, and instead of a lance he held in his hand an industrial bar style earpiece in his hand, which he quickly closed fingers around. It didn't take him long to realize two things. First, that his Fear shield had broken and that meant that he was out of the competition early. Well...that kind of sucked. Second, that his whole body sort of felt like it had gotten hit by a train, and as he slowly made his way back to his feet, his head was throbbing with pain, and he was feeling just slightly dizzy, perhaps more from over exertion then anything. "Thanks, man. Good fight." He reached over to give him a couple of quick, congratulatory pats on the shoulder, offered him a weak attempt at a smile, then sort of shuffled off of the sand to meet his fate, one that was likely full of yet more jeers (and in Abbi's case, betrayal) from his "friends". Wait what was that about drinks? Finn turned to squint at Heidi. Obviously he hadn't quite heard that shout from Ripley. "Um, ya, okay. Mathematical." He gave her a thumbs up. He was feeling really dizzy.

Ah, yep. Jack was gonna have nail marks. After that last hit and it was clear the fight was over, Fini just sighed heavily. He'd tried, at least. And probably very much wanted to kick both their asses.
"Don't you dare rub it in, Jack." Fini threatened before the taller man could say something to Finn. "Or else you know he'll do something to ******** up our own fights." But of course, this was Jack. She probably was just wasting her breath and should worry about her own battle to come.
And maybe go check on Finn.
Because he totally needed a hug.
"Good fight!" She called to both men cheerfully, giving a thumbs up, though the look she directed at Finn maaay have been a little guilty. And just like that, she left Jack's side to go meet Finn halfway. Was he okay? That last hit...
"Y'know, I think you are right." Fini murmured when closer, giving him a hug and making sure he really could stand on his own two feet. "You totally rock the blonde look, even from the sand~" Yes, she was teasing him. But also offering him a little support if he needed it. Probably dangerous considering he totally had rights to exact payback.
She flashed tuck a winning smile. "Ah don't worry! Finn's a big boy~" Yeeeep. Payback.

Finn turned back towards Tuck -All this turning back and forth between people was making him more dizzy- and actually seriously considered his offer. Like, seriously, because he thought if he took two more steps he might actually fall over. Though really, what was worse at this point? Falling down again or getting carried around like an infant by the man that just kicked his a** all over the sand dune? "No man-bro it's fine. Totally math." .......Okay Finn try to concentrate on the words coming out of your mouth that could be more embarrassing then anythin--- Oh, hello Fini! Wait what was happening hugging no stop he was kind of mad at you right now and...Siiiiiiiiiiigh."You." He smirked at her, or at least he was trying to smirk but his face felt a bit numb for some reason, pulling back from the impromptu hug enough to look her in the face. "You." He lifted up a finger and tapped it against her nose. "You totally distracted me with your lumpin hot bod. That's why I'm all jacked up now and junk.".................. Finn stop.

It was the first time Ripley was on the spectator side of a 'nail biting' fight. He hadn't realized his hands were closed into tight fists until it was all over and Finn was, however unsteadily, back on his feet. Despite having sat only moments ago he was already back on his feet to meet Finn, who was currently pulled up in a hug.
"Good fight, man!" He pat Finn's shoulder, at least taking the time to make sure his hand wasn't muddy first, and then turned towards Tuck. "You too! Congrats on your win! Hellluva show." You know, for the half of it that he saw, anyway.
He'd remind Finn about the drinks later. And maybe lay claim to that blonde girl's share.

He looked terrible but she wasn't going to say it that directly. Instead she just gave him an angelic smile because how could you be mad at her, Finn?! She totally was playing this up to stay out of trouble as long as possible.
"Yes, me~" She matched that smirk, and wrinkled her nose when he flicked it. "Excuse you-" She began, before he continued talking.
Excuse you Finn what did you just- aljdlfjdljd.
"Lumpin' hot bod?" She deadpanned, reaching up to rest the back of her hand along his forehead. "Sweetheart, I think you're a little more then just 'jacked up'." A pause. "Mmm... so is that what you think of me, huh?" There may have been a dangerous purr there. And the temptation to watch him fall on his a**.
She peered around him at Tuck, grinning at the man. "Nice fight! I hope mine is just as exciting. And maybe we'll see one another in another round or two?" pinchmonster we need some mud fightin now~

Finn felt terrible, but he was just glad that it was over now. He might have lost the fight, and that sucked a bit, but he was now able to just hang back and watch from the sidelines, which was pretty algebraic. Plus now he had a really pretty lady in his arms, the most beautiful princess in the land of Ooo, especially when she smiled at him like that. But something was...wrong. He felt all weird inside, like for some reason he shouldn't actually be all that happy with her right now. "Ya, well....ya." He frowned a bit, trying to pull away from her hand on his forehead. Something he should be trying to remember......if only his head wasn't hurting so much. "I uh, don't feel so great, sunshine." Sunshine, that was a good start. He pulled away from her and grimaced. "I'll catch up to you later....." Maybe. Kyrieko idek assume he wandered off this is the lamest of tags
