She was very much aware of how long it took him to lean back and resume his work with her hair. Much too aware. The temptation to just turn and find his lips had been too strong. And it both scared her and intrigued her. Scared because they were hunters and yes, some hunters had hooked up with one another (she even knew of a few that had married). But she was a loner! Not having many she considered 'friends' and only a few she really trusted.
Yet... she felt a strong urge to consider changing that. To explore what Finn could offer her.
:: Besides some fabulous hair tips and fashion advice? :: Vashi huffed in his dark voice.
Fini just ignored him, a small laugh escaping as Finn used her own words against her. "Touche~" She tossed back. He'd gotten her on that one! "Though I rather like being called sunshine." She admitted, a little more softly.
:: I don't think I've seen you with braided hair before, precious. :: The varcolac said in a curious tone, though he still hated that it was Finn braiding said hair. And then Vashi was howling - literally howling - with laughter.
She just groaned. "Attitude isn't even half of what he gives me." Fini mentally gave Vashi the finger. "Try having a sadistic and arrogant pervert in your head. But to answer your question... yes. It will get easier over time. I mean, I've not been here nearly as long as some of the others but... I find it unnerving when I can't hear Vashi." Which only made him preen with pride. But it was true. And she'd been on enough missions now where she couldn't hear him to know this was true. "I still find it a pain and weird at times, but not as much."

Finn transferred the three sections of hair to one hand for just a second so that he could reach up and gently push on the top back of her head, while murmuring "Look down a bit." Mostly so he could finish off this braid without having to scoot backwards and further away from her. For a little while, everything was just silence as he began working on the last, home stretch of hair, smirking even more when she said she liked being called sunshine. Duly noted. He slowed down his movements just enough to concentrate on what she was saying about her weapon, and he scoffed out some laughter at what he heard. "A sadistic and arrogant pervert, you say? Ever think maybe you attract a certain type?" Might as well say it before she could....even if it meant admitting he might be a bit like that himself. Just a bit though. "Good to know, though. Trynt is just...aggressive, most of the time, especially if he thinks there's a chance of a fight. The rest of the time he just snarls and growls so much that I can barely understand what he's saying, or if he is just growling. I also think he just harasses me for the sake of irritating me." He could feel Trynt's resentment to all of these comments, and a huffing, indignant sound to go with it, but he chose to ignore it, instead finishing up the braid, keeping the end pinched closed between thumb and forefinger. "Got something for me to tie your hair with, Sunshine." Emphasis on the nickname he now knew she liked.

She tilted her head down as told, not really thinking too much about the action or how it could be taken as a command. Her mind was slowly becoming mush the longer she was in his company, though she had Vashi bitching up a storm and keeping her somewhat grounded. Somewhat.
Fini sighed at his laughter - and Vashi's rumbling - uncurling and stretching her legs out in front of her, crossing them at the ankle. Her face scrunched up at his take on Vashi's personality. ********, maybe he had a point?
:: Psh! He only wishes he were your type, precious. ::
:: Maybe you just wish he wasn't~ ::
Was he her type? Ohgod she couldn't think about that right now. Not with all the close calls they had had already!
She had to laugh at his description of his own weapon. "If it makes you feel any better, you'll be able to tune him out once you get used to hearing his voice. I do it all the time with Vashi." Fini smirked, turning her head only slightly before sitting still once more. "He probably does just harass you too. It's amusing." It was probably a good thing he couldn't see her face, as there was quite the little mischievous look there.
Fini held out the hair-tie she'd originally had her hair up with when he asked. She kind of wanted to find a mirror and see what it looked like. Her lips quirked up at his emphasis on the nickname. "Thanks." She added, waiting until her hair was tied before glancing over her shoulder at him. "For braiding it."
Sliding around until she faced him, Fini reached up, letting her fingers trail along his cheeks before checking his hair. "Sooo... do you want to sit out here a little longer? Or get that stuff out of your hair?" Not that she wasn't perfectly happy sitting there and staring at your nice body, Finn.

Finn barked out a laugh as well, automatically making a comparison between tuning out his own weapon and wondering at the similarities between that and tuning out a nagging woman, a skill he had thought he'd had mastered once. Of course, he would keep those thoughts to himself, assuming Fini wouldn't appreciate him voicing them out loud, and instead said, "Good to know." while reaching for the hair tie that was offered, stretching it between fingers before sliding it into place and looping it around a couple of times before it was tight. Leaning back, he took a moment to admire his own handiwork. It might not have been perfect, but it was damn close considering how long it had been since the last time he had braided...well, anything. His mouth quirked up in a half smirk. "No problem, Sunshine. These hands might still surprise you yet with what else they're good at." He said it in a slightly boastful tone, but mostly just plain smug and cocky. When she turned to face him, the last thing he was really expecting was for her to reach up and trail fingers along his cheek. It was...oddly affectionate, and he wasn't quite sure what to think of it, if she was just paying him back for the few light touches he had stolen here and there or if she was making a move. His eyes narrowed slightly, but his breathing remained steady and he didn't pull away like he almost wanted to, instead reaching up to place his hand over hers, and curl fingers around it to bring it down, another smirk playing along his lips. "You're the expert, darling. What do you think?"

That was probably a wise choice on his part, for keeping that little bit to himself. Not that Fini would have done much. Aside from possibly shove his pretty boy face into the ground. Oh she could show you nagging, Finn. But since he kept his mouth shut on that one, she simply smiled a bit at his response. Really, it seemed that they all asked the same thing when being new trainees!
Fini winced at this thought, grateful that Finn couldn't see the brief flash of pain and a little shame that crossed her features before disappearing quickly.
She was not really considered a 'new' trainee. But she had yet to move beyond that status. Though a few of those she'd started out as trainees with had moved up to full hunters. Fini just assured herself they had excelled and she had just not... well, been ready for it.
Shoving those thoughts and feelings to the back of her mind, where Vashi could horde them and keep her from focusing on them, Fini laughed. "Oh I just bet there are many things they are good at." She said lightly with an undertone of mischief. Maybe she wanted to know what else they could do.
Cocky b*****d.
And maybe she just liked touching your face, okay? Alright not completely, but she did have the urge to touch him. Again. Which was why her fingers lingered along his cheek longer then necessary while she 'checked' his hair. His own hand came up to retrieve hers and Fini made no move to pull it away. She let her eyes meet his, something flickering across her gaze before she blinked and glanced up at his hair.
"Well... " She hummed out, examining his hair. Or him in general. "If I'm the expert here... I'd say that, as magnificent as it is to sit out here with you... that crap probably needs to be washed out by now. Does your head itch or burn?" Fini added, a small frown forming.

"And maybe." He said, tone changing to something much more teasing. "If you're good, I can show you, and prove it to you." Oh yes, he was still treading along dangerous territory, still offering up more then he was actually willing to give, but he was pretty sure she understood the game by now, because if she didn't..... Well, then he would have to stop playing it with her, simple as that. For that reason alone it was good to remind himself again not to take it too far, or get in too deep. He liked her...in that he liked being around her. She was interesting to him, and for whatever reason seemed okay with what the were doing, and he had a feeling she didn't take s**t from anybody. Mischievous, but sweet in her own way....No, he didn't want to have to make the game end prematurely if he could help it, and the only other alternative was one he wasn't considering right now. Brushing a thumb over her knuckles, he waited for her assessment of his hair. He had to agree with what she decided, though he still worried that it was too soon..... Though if they had to dye it again that meant they could spend more time together too... hrmmm. Actually at this point he wasn't sure if that would be a good idea or a bad idea, and he wasn't the type to take risks unless they were necessary. Releasing her hand, he moved as though to push himself off of the ground, hesitating only for a moment to answer. "A little, but not much. I have to wonder how much of that is Trynt's doing, however. I've definitely felt worse, and I don't think I mixed it up wrong." Really, with two ingredients, how could he screw that up? Getting himself to his feet, he held out a hand to help her up as well. "Still planning on coming to watch the show, Sunshine?" Of course, he was talking about his shower.

Oooh if there wasn't a few thoughts that danced around her mind at that! Fini gave him a slow look, fingers curling around his a little more. Her freed hand lightly traced down his cheek once she'd checked his hair, then brushed along his neck and trailed down his chest until she poked him just above his naval.
"Well, I promise to be good then." She purred in a challenging way. Just how serious had you been, eh Finn? Fini was willing to play this little game!
And, well, flirting and teasing aside, she kind of liked his company. He was interesting. There also seemed to be another side to him that was kept hidden. Or perhaps guarded? It was intriguing enough that she wanted to get to know him a little more. Of course there was also the simple reason of she could see him being a friend. An asshat of a friend, but still a friend. Something she valued being bound here.
No she did not stare at the way muscles constricted and flexed while he moved to stand up.
"It didn't seem like it was mixed wrong." She offered, taking the hand he held out to her, letting him assist her up. "And hey, if we have to do it again, I really don't mind." Fini shrugged, giving him a smile. That turned wicked at his question.
"Of course I am! I have to make sure you're hair turns out correctly, y'know. And I do get that freebie~"
