Lihua tapped her pen against her chin. Voting seemed like an easy thing to do. She looked around the room. She didnt even notice anything. She akways in her room and rarely paid attention to other stuff. "umm I dont even know what colors to pick." She decided to pick her favorite colors. It struck Seiji, as he peered around the common room of the ghost dorms, that he didn't know as many members of his own 'kind' as he had originally thought. There were familiar faces, of course, and two of the most important people in his unlife were ghosts, but there were an awful lot of specters milling about around him that he simply didn't recognize. The population of the ghosts had ... increased recently.
Serafina had noticed the amount of people who were moving in recently, and noticed even further the amount of faces that simply were not familiar to her despite how long she had been at the school by now. She was a year two, after all, an age enough to get a real feel for the campus and at least some idea of who was regularly around her.
In all her time there, though, she had never actually been called to the common room. Honestly, she was not aware it was actually used for such things; she thought it was just a place for the ghosts to hang out if they chose to. Serafina occasionally found herself in the common room, mostly watching people like the obviously nosy ghoul she was. It was not really the most common place to be, though, for anyone really--this was probably the most crowded she had ever seen the room, never mind all the unfamiliar faces.
Two of the faces that were Residential Assistants--RAs?--were familiar. There was Frost--dressed very sharply, she might add!--and someone she recognized back from the Four Clans Isles so long ago. She didn't recognize the ghoul with ... needles sticking out of her arms, but she would probably do her best to commit her face to memory. It might become useful to be aware of who her RAs were, even if she did not specifically need to interact with them that often.
She wasn't a newbie, after all.
... House colors, mascots, and mottos? Serafina blinked. She supposed they had something ... sorta like that at her all ghouls' school. It was mostly just a color for each dorm, though. Nothing quite that ... extensive.
Well, she knew what were some ghoulish colors, at least. Happily, she moved to enter her two choices--blue and purple--and placed them into the vote. Hopefully they would win; Serafina thought the two colors looked pretty together and suited the ghosts perfectly!Quote: HOUSE COLOUR VOTE Student Name: Serafina Arai House Colour Vote: Blue and Purple

Willow had settled herself somewhere near the wall and as far as possible from the majority of the crowd. Her tail flickered as she listened to the chatter going on she'd brought her notebook and her penstrictor. Ears twitched as she silently took a few moments to make notes.
Also making notes on what ideas she had, and scribbled onto a ballot what her color suggestions were as her tail flickered. Brows lofting and choosing to stay somewhat quite and to herself. There was a surprising number of ghosts she'd yet to meet. Well actually, Willow held the tip of her pen between her lips as she thought unconsciously nibbling on the pen, which it didn't appreciate, and made unhappy hissing noses at her.Quote: HOUSE COLOUR VOTEStudent Name: Willow Voltaire House Colour Vote: Black and White

Amrita had pulled up a chair after she opened the floor to the Ghost Dorm tenants, and had stayed there as the conversation started, her chin resting in a twisted hand, her elbow on the arm rest. Her free hand scribbled down notes as she heard them, eavesdropping on several different conversations in one shot; it meant her notes were somewhat unreliable to read, but acted more as a memory trigger than anything.
"Please stay awake." She warned Amarus. Her voice sounded sweet, but there was a definite threat of an undertone; she would not tolerate insubordination, even as slight of an offence as falling asleep on the job. Losing a great deal of her memories had altered her perceptions, it seemed. Considering this it was only natural for her to pay special attention to the talk of Kings and True Kings. One thing was clear to her:
The Black King was the only King.
Her lips pressed into a thin line, her eye narrowing as she fought back her initial instinct to defend her King. The Shadowlord simply wasn't himself right now, but she was going to remedy that, mark her words.
"Back to point," Amrita started, the hard edge to her voice only there to try and get their attention. "You seem to be leaning towards a...Wisp holding a Mirror, that is also a superhero?" The Patchwork gave her notebook a look, as if she wasn't sure she had read that right. "And a Motto...the only suggestion I've heard is Libertas in Obitum or Death Becomes You?" Did she read that right? She never had much talent when it came to alternate languages. "What does that Libertas one mean?" The cloudy grey eye of the Undead fell on Katrine, who had suggested it; the very same one whom she had eavesdropped discussing the One True King (which was definitely hers, the Black King).
"Any other suggestions? Curious, short epitaphs maybe?"

Reese tensed when the RA approached her, even more so when her silence was brought up. But...there was no chastisement or worse, pity. Just an offer of the use of ballot paper and a certain reassuring distance. The RA was just being polite and doing their job, which was something of a relief. The thought of everyone being as nice to her as Junko had been had filled the ghost with a certain unease. What if she was expected to be nice back? Did she even want to be nice? The rest of the students furthered this relief. Not everybody was going out of their way to be exceedingly nice to her. Reese was free to be an a*****e if that was a personal preference later on and she probably wouldn't even feel bad about it. Feeling a bit more at ease, the air around her easing as well, the ghost took another ballot sheet and considered the suggestions being tossed around. The wisp sounded okay, the mirror part was a bit weird, but maybe that was a cultural thing. As Reese considered the merit of mirrors and tried to recall if she'd actually seen herself clearly in a mirror once since coming into existence, a loud voice drew her attention back to the gathered ghost students. A somewhat wild looking ghost with dark skin and a cascade of impressive hair had a voice that raised and dropped and yelled out freely, without the awkward unpleasantness that accompanied her own speech. Reese was a little envious of the ghoul, to be honest, but more, the fact that the loud speech didn't bring any responding derision or anger beyond as few dry words made Reese start to reassess interacting with other students. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Writing down her comments on the mascot and motto, Reese placed the paper by the ballot box with a look of distant contemplation. Okay so she was kind of already being an a*****e with that suggestion, but really, that was pretty much the sum of her knowledge of ghost culture.

The slow wag of Chaya's tail sped up as she was patted and approved of, and she smiled up at Lattice. She liked this ghoul a lot, she decided. In response to Amrita's question to the room at large, though, she frowned a little. "I don't think that wisp can be a superhero," she called out, maybe a little louder than she quite needed to. "It doesn't have a neck to tie a cape around." Her ears backed a bit as she realized that sounded sort of ... well, speciesist. "Not that it's a bad thing not to have a neck," she added hastily.

Lattice let out a small almost happy sound as she listened to Chaya speak up as instructed. Ahhh. This one was so precious. She wondered briefly if Petro and her Sister would allow her to keep Chaya forever.
Outwardly Lattice simply looked very calm and easy going, her expression with only that slight smile to show that she was pleased with anything that was currently ongoing. "You are entitled to your opinions, Dearest. Do not be shy about it," she gave Chaya another encouraging pat.
Some needed more encouragement than others to bloom into something wonderful.Prolixity Lattice loves having someone to nurture far too much. auugh. -dies at the feels.-

Frost's response to her comments was shrugged off as Katrine shook her head. Alphas didn't interest her, "I look for one who is not you. I was mistaken." Blunt and even toned in her response, the ghost closed her eyes a moment. Her focus was difficult to keep pinned on one thing and her mind drifted. "Libertas in Obitum?" Katrine sounded amused, as if that should be obvious, "It means Liberty in Death, freedom from the chains of life and all the suppression thereof. A beautiful end, and a brilliant beginning. Suitable for ghosts, a promise to everything else." She opened one eye to regard Amarita, "I do not vote for a superhero. I prefer the wisp."

Blake drifted along, not quite pleased with how he had to attend something. "Mandatory" was met with a rather sullen mood, but he went. He'd rather not end up as the next ghast who thought they could shirk a direct order. With a sigh, he lingered on the outskirts of the crowd and tried to figure out what was going on. Ballot box..? Wait... write stuff? Blake never had to do that before. And read..? Ah shizz. He really wasn't happy about that. As far as reading & writing went... He was learning, slowly, but his writing looked like a jagged scrawl and the words were often misspelled. As for reading... he was managing. Somehow. Drifting skillfully through the throng, he snatched up a scrap of paper, something to write with, and made an abyssal attempt at writing his suggestion for the "house colors". Which he thought was rather... strange. Nobody really gave a jack before, did they..? Quote: HOUSE COLOUR VOTE Student Name: Blake House Colour Vote: Black & Silver

Hayes had somehow ended up at the meeting to decide the colors, motto and mascot of his dorm for reasons he could not explain. Did he care about group interactions? No. Did he care about what was occurring? No. With all this taken into consideration the boil still showed up, late, and cast his vote for the dorm colors. Besides, it wasn't like he had anything better to do. Hayes had only just shown up at the school and he had no interest in mingling with the others. As he quietly walked over to the far end of the room he put his hands in his pockets and let out a huff. "Just what the hell am I doing here?"Quote: HOUSE COLOUR VOTE Student Name: Hayes Carter House Colour Vote: Purple & Red

Whoa. There were beautiful ghouls as far as his eyes could see..well..okay the room wasn't THAT full but, still. A boil could dream right? Smirking in his usual cocky manner the ghostly teen quickly scribbled down something for the ballot. Once the paper had been placed into a box..Evan went back to watching. Oh yes. He'd been against coming to school here but, now that he'd seen so many lovely ladies. They'd have to make him leave. "Well well! If it's talk of a mascot I'd have to say I agree that a Wisp would work." What was all the talk of a superhero? Eyes giving a roll the boil moved to find a seat or something to avoid the fray until he noted a fellow boil that looked pretty awesome. Not as awesome as him but, he still looked pretty cool. " Hey. Sup man?" Quote: HOUSE COLOUR VOTE Student Name: Evangard Muller House Colour Vote: Light Blue and White

Unlike the boil who had decided to speak to him Hayes hadn't taken too much into consideration in terms of who the students were let alone what they looked like. The boil was still trying to figure out why he had come to this meeting in the first place. Just as the boil was thinking about leaving a guy with black and pink hair showed up and began talking to him. Sup? Hayes shrugged. "Standing here wondering what the jack I'm doing here." He replied, not offering to ask the boil a similar question because he quite frankly didn't care. "I could care less about all this." As he said that his right shoulder motioned forward, showing he meant the meeting if not everything else.

Snorting out a laugh Evan nodded his agreement, a small mischevious grin gracing his lips. "At least there's some pretty ghoul's to look at though eh? I know man, mandatory boredom." Why did he care if the other boil got a kick out of things? Evan could use a bro..a friend of sorts. This guy might as well be it. No one else had caught his eye as being 'awesome'..or..chill, cool. "Names Evangard Muller, wanna blow this bore fest then?" Again came that glint of mischief. Oh yes..he wanted to see if this other boil could be any fun before calling him a bro.

Hayes scanned the room at the mention of the pretty ghouls and gave a look of indifference. Maybe if he actually locked on them for more than a passing glance he would see something to them but he didn't. His eyes returned to his companion in boredom. "Hayes Carter." He replied, surprisingly giving his name. The boil didn't seem to mind sharing the information without being asked this time. "Sure." Hayes replied, pulling himself off the wall while his hands remained in his pockets. A stroll around campus couldn't hurt. He needed to get familiar with this place since he was going to be here for quite a while. "Let's go." Hayes added as he walked out of the room at an even pace so as not to completely leave the fellow ghost boil behind. He could make a guide.
