Gabby's flight patterns truly were steady and graceful, but when he reached the clouds, he couldn't help but burst through them vertically, soaring straight up into the air and drifting back down backwards on his back. His body dipped into a lazy flip, until he was right side up again. "COME." He roared as loudly as he could - it was so hard to be heard this high up. He rose back up over the clouds, continuing to flap as high as he could. "FIND YOUR CEILING." The night sky continued to loom up above them, refusing to end.

She tried to keep up with him, but the higher they went the harder it was for her to breathe. Finally she felt like her lungs were going to explode and she turned and dipped back down till they stopped screaming quite so loudly at her. She hovered there, panting and trying to maintain altitude. She still couldn't see any ceiling, but she could see so many stars. She had never seen so many shimmering spots of light before. She'd seen pictures, sure, and when she travelled she'd seen some but not like this. It was awe inspiring. "I don't think.....I can go....any higher!" Even now she was starting to drift slowly down toward the ground, nothing worrisome, just a slow and gradual drop. "It's hard to breathe!"

Breathe? Gabby stopped soaring upward when she reminded him that she used her lungs, and he dipped back down, bobbing in and out of the clouds as she descended. "Haha." He barked out a growl of laughter. "You living and your need to breathe." Nevertheless, he descended eventually, until he was several feet above her, keeping the distance steady. "So did you find a ceiling, or do you believe me now?"

"I guess I'll just have to believe you." She laughed, finally seeming to get her wind back. "Can you go all the way up?" She peers at the sky curiously. "I wonder what's up or is it all the same..."

"Me?" He hesitated. "Probably. I just don't want to." That was code for no, he couldn't, nor would he be willing to try. "It sounds boring, and time consuming. Speaking of which, we should be headed back. I've got a date waiting." He hovered for a moment more, before his form shimmered, and he plummetted to the ground. Landing took him less time than usual, as he simply floated back and forth, like a feather, until his claws met the ground. Then he slammed down, and shook himself out of his dragon form. The shroud of cold and fog dissipated around him, until all it left was just enough to make the boil. His pin was safely fastened back on his lapel, while he waited for her to join him.

She followed after him, still curious if anyone had ever been even higher than they had just gone. She landed carefully so as not to disturb any trees or plants around them. It was just a small cloud of sand that accompanied her transformation back to humanoid and she put her pin back on. Still, she looked rather disappointed to be back on two feet. After making sure everything was in place and not too dusty she smiled at him. "You have a date? That's wonderful! I'm sorry I kept you so long!"

Gabby seemed to appreciate that she was sorry. Because it was her fault, of course. And the fact that she understood that was important. He thought for a moment, his face tense with concentration, before deciding that the proper recourse for such a thoughtful apology was a pat on the head. And so, he patted her on the head. "Yes. Good. Thank you." His work was done, as this was clearly how a successful lesson should be rewarded and concluded. So he nodded his head sharply. "Practice.. everything." He tried to specify, but found himself lacking, because he actually hadn't taught her a thing. "Until next time." He offered, turning on his heel and heading straight for the undead dorms.
