Hi all. You can call me Secret, Angel, Secret Angel, or SA3. Anyway, I'm a junior in college. Another year and I'll have my Bachelor in Social Work. I am a big believer in environmental conservation, volunteering, and humanitarian efforts. I love swimming, biking, and canoeing (though I only did it once). Overly competitive people and arrogant people rub me the wrong way. I'm addicted to television (fantasy/sci-fi/supernatural) and ice cream. I have a lot of commitments in real life, so you probably won't see me much. But if I can help in any way, I would love to. I think or RPing as a safe way to experience life. This was the first year I ever heard of the User Run Ball and it was fun to participate and I want other Gaians to experience that. I think of myself as a good writer so perhaps I can help in that department. I love writing poetry in particular. Though I love reading, I don't have much time for it. I can help formulate ideas or fund-raise. Wherever you need me. heart

 I'll turn him into a flea, a harmless, little flea, and then I'll put that flea in a box, and then I'll put that box inside of another box, and then I'll mail that box to myself, and when it arrives..Most people call me Hikari or Hik. I'm 26 years old, been on Gaia for 9.5 years. I've graduated college with an Associates Degree in Graphic Design, and have an unfinished degree in Computer Networking. I'm also divorced with a 7 year old son. I'm obsessed with reading and writing. I have more books then I have bookshelves and am always getting more. You absolutely cannot trust me in a bookstore with money. And I read practically everything; bios, fantasy, sci-fi, historical, romances, mystery, thrillers. Love it all. I love to write all poetry, papers, and fiction stories. I'm a Star Wars AND Star Trek fan. I know, the apocalypse shall reign any moment for me saying that but I really don't see why people can't absolutely love both. I even ran the most popular Star Wars RP guild on Gaia for...hmmm...3 years? 4? So it was a big thing for a while. It's also where I met my dearest friend! Robayn!!
I used to be all into vampires (not glittery ones) but I've found myself less and less intrigued by them. I am, however, a ginormous dragon fan girl. I love western dragons: the mythos, the looks, stories, the wings. Dragons are by far the most perfect creature in existence. I'm a HP, LOTR freak: books and movies. I know more about the Harry Potter world than I do about my own, I can rattle off facts and figures, costs, history, wizardry cards, etc. I can tell you the exact cost of dragon liver. I like to paint when I'm in the mood: mostly ceramic masks. Robayn has one I sent to her for Xmas if you ever wanna see a picture. I'm actually starting a little business of jewelry, bookmarks, bath scrubs, sun catchers, etc. Kinda a boutique feel. It'll be online and offline. There are three things I collect in life: Teddy Bears, Perfume bottles, and Christmas villages. And I'm terribly picky about everything that might come into a collection. I do like anime, although not as much as I did in high school. I never buy individual discs. I either have enough to buy the set or I don't buy it. My favorite being Sailor Moon. Maybe it's because it was the first one I ever watched when I was 8; I dunno.
I've been involved with the Ball for....3 years?...4? I'm not sure honestly. I got lassoed for the Wrath Room in a crisis during the Sin and Virtue Ball. I actually had to participate in an RP contest to see if I was the one they'd choose to help during that ball. It was fun. Then the next year for the Dreams ball I somehow ended up being a room host, but because of bad planning within the ball, weird admin problems, and real life issues I was only able to be there for one day. So I was a flop in that room I think. BUT that was the Ball where I met the love of my life ^_^ Panda!! We've been dating for almost 10 months now I think. And then this latest Ball with the Library I was a room host again with Robayn. ^_^ It was by far the most enjoyable Ball for me I think. I always spend waaaayyy too much gold on the Ball; usually just the room I'm helpin' in but let me tell you the costs add up between pure and prizes, art and stuff. I actually broke my record this year. I spent almost 13 mill in Dreams Ball and this year I jumped to 16mill. >.< I honestly wasn't going to come back for year 12. Between Ball drama, moving next summer, my side business, etc I was just going to let it go or maybe work in the background. And yet I find myself here again, hands in the cookie jar rarin' to go. ^_^
My favorite colors are Mint and Purple. I hate bananas. I have a secret crush on Spock (the original)...heh.....an the new one. I love musicals, opera, Broadway, plays in general. There are few things greater in life than an amazing musical in my opinion. I could easily live off of showtunes for the rest of my life with no access to any other music and be very happy. BUT since I have other music I love country music (hence the Hillbilly part of my name), I like classic rock, and bad 80s music. Ooo! And bad 80s movies, so bad. I have a weird habit of creating characters for all the worlds I read and/or watch. And they have all these crazy backstories. I have OCs for anime, books, tv, movies.....it'd a bad habit >.< Besides Gaia the big site I'm on all the time is Pinterest. I'm such a pinaholic its not even funny. But the cool thing is, Gaia Online actually started following ME on Pinterest. I was stupid, fangirl happy that day. ^_^()
Sooooo....yeah....that's me in a nutshell.....

I apologize in advance, however with my Guild's decisions and the fact that I've personally come to despise what Gaia has been doing of late with all the "BUY THIS" and the ads EVERYWHERE, I am leaving Gaia.
This means I can no longer be apart of the Ball and I do apologize to people.
The only thing that kept me here were my guilds that the majority of people agreed to moving off site.
I am still checking Gaia as I am still transfering data, so if you want a link I will send you one via PM.

Welcome to the ball! biggrin We take people of all levels of experience, so don't worry. When I came, I had no idea what the ball was, and I had never roleplayed before. blaugh I hope you enjoy hanging out with us! So, just to get you up to speed, the annual ball is a huge three day weekend roleplaying event. Gaia gives us our own forum, a fancy background, and an announcement to all of Gaia to promote it because Gaia actually used to help out a little back in the very beginning. They actually gave grant items the first two years, or so I've heard. Anyway, there are six rooms, each with a slightly different theme. The theme this year is Western Zodiac, so each of the rooms contains two of the members of the zodiac. Because of this, they have different settings. Look at the subforums for these rooms, and see if the topics interest you at all. Either that, or just apply to a room that has a person you think is pretty cool. Then, if you become a co-host (and you will if you apply to a room that doesn't have many), you will help plan the event for that room, but you will have very little responsibility. You will also create a character after the plot is made, and you will roleplay as that character during the ball. You help host the guests from all over Gaia who will come to roleplay in your room. But, don't worry too much about creating a character, just yet. The hosts in your room will help you make a character that suits the theme of the room after the initial prep work is done. For right now, just chat and decide where you want to roleplay, and put in your application. I hope you enjoy it here! biggrin As for the other stuff, it's so cool that you can do chemical engineering! I was the Neville Longbottom of General Chemistry in college, so I admire anyone who can handle chemicals and burners without seriously injuring themselves or someone else in the lab. blaugh

Hello there! I should have done this when I first joined the guild, but things have been a little nutty on my end. Anywho, My name is Marion-san, but you can call me May. I am currently a substitute on Winter break from teaching, hoping to find a full fledged teaching position within the next year. February will mark 10 years for me on Gaia.
I did not realize it before, but I actually attended one of the very first UR balls that was hosted on the site, and have attended several since. Last year was the first time I was an active participant, and I loved the roleplaying aspect of it.
I look forward to helping out however I can to get this year's ball up and running fabulously! <3

Hi! I'm Courtney/AGC, and I used to be involved with these before I took a Gaia hiatus. I was a host in the 6th Annual ball, I believe. Anyway, now I'm back, and I wanted to help out again! I love the user-run events, and the ball is so special. <3
IRL, I'm a mother of a wonderful two-year-old, Autumn, and I'm a junior sociology major in college. So, I'm busy. xD<3 But it's nice to be back on Gaia.

I helped out last year and I was a cohost the year before. I did artwork the year before that. I am an amateur, self-taught artist, but hey what I do, I do for free. wink

Hello guys I'm Qi and I'm a 17 year old Chinese-American high school student and I'm about to be a senior (woo hoo college app fun). I'm usually on gaia stalking barton town and roleplaying in literally anything that I can get my hands on. If I'm not on here, I usually am on tumblr reblogging very random things that have to do with East Asian culture.
I've been writing and roleplaying since I was probably...11? I like to consider myself at least somewhat experienced in the art, and I've attended the ball before on one of my old accounts (that my horrible memory forgot the password to) and I really enjoyed it so this year I've decided to help make it a memorable experience for other people.

Realized recently that I didn't introduce myself. Hum.
Yosh! My name is Dani (Or Danny) and I'm new(er) to this guild. I've been involved in projects like this before, but never to this scale. I do art and RP, but I tend to get overwhelmed with too many requests, so don't be looking to me for guidance or anything. I tend to feel more comfortable in support roles.
IRL, I'm a senior in highschool and I'm going into engineering and art. I have a dog named Baobei, she's a bichon frise. I spend way too much time playing video games, and my favorite drink is rootbeer. I cosplay a lot also (I'm anime trash orz). This year, at anime detour (twin cities), I'm going to be Pyro from tf2. I'm glad to answer questions about siggy, also.
So yeah, that's me! In a few sentences. I hope to help this User Run Ball whenever I have time, so good luck everyone! (~'v')~
