Her mount had had enough. It decided to just stop and stand there. After trying to coax it to move, Gwyn finally decided that it would be quicker to finish the journey on foot, so she started unloading the creature. Before she could finish, it ran off with half of her food. Displeased, Gwyn started off on foot again.

Gwyn continued on at the slower pace watching the castle slowly creep towards her. She had moved so much faster on her mount.

Gwyn continued running until the slope got a bit slicker. When it did, she decided her dress' condition was not that important anymore and slid carefully down the hill, covering her dress in mud.

Finally at the bottom of the final hill, Gwyn sized it up. This one was going to be more treacherous to climb than the previous one. Knowing that, she slowly made her way up it.

Finally arriving at the castle, Gwyn sat down, trying to catch her breath. Then, seemingly from behind her, she heard a feminine voice chuckle. She knew that voice! Turning around Gwyn saw nothing, but she suddenly remembered the first time her mother had taken her to meet others. Before that, her world had been filled only with her mother. Excitedly, Gywn had run ahead, only to charge back behind her mother in fear at the first person she had seen. Chuckling her mother had assured her that there was nothing to fear.
Smiling at the happy memory and at her past foolishness, Gwyn was happy to have made it there and hoped others would make it too.
