"I guess." he said indifferently, trying to shrug off the emotions, concerned emotion would just draw in a goddess to siphon it away. He wasn't comfortable with other people being aware of his concern for Iron. Here it felt like a weakness, even when the observations were good natured. He didn't want to let himself forget that the other man, as far as he was aware, was his enemy.
He turned and made his way back to Iron briskly. "Get up. Stop being a pansy. There's no time out here for lying around."

"I need a minute," Iron grumbled. The acid hissed against his boots. He tried to bend his knee, to get one foot where it was dry, then gave up.
"Don't feel so good. Just...keep them off me- for a while."

Rojand followed a little slower, unsure of his welcome, but not quite willing to slink off alone yet. He hissed a little in irritated worry at Ironshare's response. "Come on, it's raining out here, you should at least get under cover," he said, and bent to help Iron up.

Reap had crossed his arms grudgingly, seeming to relax at the idea of Rojand following along just a bit. Iron was alive, if weak. There was a testing sort of patience as he examined the other man's attempts to rise.
Whatever ground he'd conceded was immediately revoked however as Rojand was the one who leant to help Iron up.
He took a step back, the playfulness turning to ice once again.

"Yeah," he agreed weakly. "Outta the rain." Iron was hard to grasp, just because his arm wasn't too solid, but his shapes gradually were coaxed upright, and he leaned heavily into Rojand, arms, head, shoulder, hand, mixing in and out of Rojand's side.
He summoned up a smirk at Reap.
"Cutting it close, huh?"

It was a weird feeling, but Rojand tried to keep that from showing on his face, just keeping steady, a more-solid shape to lean on, though the wisps coming off his shoulders were nearly transparent. He was worried, more worried than he wanted to be or felt he should be, but he couldn't get around it. "There's a storefront over there," he pointed out.
He looked to Reap again and caught the chill in his eyes. This time, he steeled himself against it ("All we can do is wait. I'm staying here. As long as it takes."). He hadn't done anything wrong. He didn't think he had. He didn't want either of them to leave; he didn't really want to have to leave either.

Reap didn't reply to Iron, nor did he return the smile lest it veer into encouragement. Instead he walked ahead to the storefront alone and leaned against the wall in the shelter.

Iron let himself be lead.
"You feel real familiar, you know," he told Rojand, "like I- like we..." Back, back in black. He shook his head.
"Wish it'd stop raining."

"Yeah," Rojand said, very quietly, not specifying which part of the statement he was agreeing with. He helped Iron into the cover of the gutted storefront, guided him to a spot near Reap where there was minimal debris on the floor, then, once Iron had settled down, retreated to the front of the shelter where he could watch the streets, shiny with rain. He let his staff materialize and leaned on it, looking stubbornly outwards and trying not to think too much about the puzzle of the two almost-familiar men behind him.

Reap wasn't comfortable at all, hearing Iron say that Rojand was familiar only unsettled him even more. He wanted to leave, he yearned to just get out into the rain again and run until there was no room through the exhaustion for emotions to cling. Just burn them off like calories.
But they'd follow him. So he stayed. And said nothing at all.

Semi-dry was good.
Iron sat against the wall again. He didn't have to concentrate so hard to stay together anymore, although the break was welcome. His fog was starting to settle back into the right places. His head still felt like it was full of more space than him.
He rolled his head over to look at Reap, "I think we know him," he muttered. "Glad you showed up. And that you're okay."

Reap didn't actually feel all that okay. Physically he was solid and healthy but his head felt like cracked ice over a warming lake and his emotions wouldn't relent at all.
"I don't care if I knew him." he grunted. "And whatever. I'm always okay. I die a lot. And then I'm ok."
