▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▒▒Micha'el Maues▒▒▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Suddenly, from his fray of fear and confusion, trying to msuter up some courage, he saw what seemed to be that lady from the cafe earlier! She must have followed them, or just by coincidence she was here and right before his eyes he could see her pleasure as she tore a demon with her claws before landing on the stone floor. All around her the red laid out carpet rippled from the air that got trapped beneath it when she landed, dust lightly spiralling in the air.

Micha'el summoned the Aira before him, it was there in a flash of light and with a flex of his fingers the book opened and its layer and layers of untold pages flipped one by one until suddenly a white glow engulfed the book and tore into two. Bringing his fists to the side he felt the power of the Aria ripple through his body, rushing through his veins as suddenly he became one with the divine energy it held. On his wrists he now had a large glowing white cross made of pure energy, the longer tip pointing up his arm, and over his knuckles a faintly glowing energy that grew brighter if his knuckles were to come to any harm. Seeing a demon get too close he brought his fist back and punch the air, a bolt of white light shot for the demon and struck it's chest as it flipped backwards towards the floor. Shortly after he saw a blaze of orange light as fire burst from her hands and burst on it's victim, catching a demon alight as it groaned in despair.

"I don't know!" Micha'el admitted! "It must have been something to do with that storm!" he then yelled back, keeping a gaze on the woman whilst not letting any of the demons get too close, whenever one did he'd follow with another bolt of light. But then one did get too close, and with a quick "Woa!" he ducked and clamped his forearms together as the two crosses merged togther in a flash of light and created one giant white cross of divine energy to protect him like a shield until he could get the upper hand! Gritting his teeth he did his best not to let them get to him, he could explode the energy, he thought, but that would leave his magic low incase more were to come... and if his research on demons were right... they always come in hordes.

Rending the demon into pieces like she did and startling the two others, chaos seemed to quickly ensue. Though while she was busy continuing to slice and dice, the female was quick to conjure up whatever she could and struck out as well. The demons didn't care for that much either.

Kee'Da on one side of the small demon horde of ugly viscous snakes, the other two on the other, the redhead could still hear them both asking questions. A demon's muscled tail was coming down on her quickly, no time for striking, the young woman rose her forearm to block. Though flesh and bone would have done her little good, however, it wasn't flesh and bone that the snake met. The very medal that was on Nikee'Da's hands flowed up her arm like liquid lightning to create a moving encasement of armor.

The demon's tail landed on a large blade growing from her forearm and let out a screech to prove its agony. The screech quickly died as the hooded woman slashed out its throat. The snake landing at her feed with a wet and heavy 'thump'. Kee'Da focused on more of the snakes not bothering to protect the other two since they clearly had it in them to be half decent fighters.

She still heard the question and the young man's answer. "It has everything to do with the storm! Because that's not nature's creation...its something entirely new...unnatural...and doesn't mean well!"

Seeing a snake lurch towards the young woman's back, her clawed hand snatched it up and quickly snapped its neck before it could get anywhere close. Blood and gore dripped from her talons, from her clothes, splattered across her pale face, but her cyan colored eyes were aglow with the glee of battle and the destruction she brought.

I’m a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm.
And the scars that mark my body, they’re silver and gold,
My blood is a flood of emeralds, precious stones,
It keeps my veins hot, the fire's found a home in me.
I move through town, I’m quiet like a fight,
And my necklace is of rope, I tie it and untie.

Arriving at Kuj'anast just as the evening was beginning to set it meant that their time spent in the already pitch black corridors of the library was going to be a sleepy one. For now the sun was still descending and they got plenty of rest on the Zeppelin down from Neutral City. Cardy had heard many things about this place, it was the last remaining building, or more-so monument of the destroyed city nearby, she wasn't really sure how or why it was destroyed but she knew it was because it discovered and tried to harness somethign dreadful. It made her wonder if what she searched for might be linked to this place. "Still got a few hours of daylight - we should spend it wisely on the upper floors" Cardy announced, looking at the great double doors that led within the cathedral-like monolithic building. Though from the outside it didn't quite look as big as she'd heard. Apparently it holds more books than half of Non-magic Earth has eve written, that could be an explanation but she'd like to see it come true. Getting in she soon realised that teh majority of the place was underground, causing her to add "oh..." to he previous comment about the upper floors. "Guess we just have one floor of daylight to look into".

Inside the first floor after heading right down a massive staircase they found themselves in the main foyer, a large room stacked with shelves and carpets leading down to more cases and ladders and chandeliers. In the centre was a giant glowing green orb with a orangey-yellow flicker in its core. Approaching, the aura within attempted to reach the orbs edge. Cardy touched it, as if to be curious. When she did the aura rebounded against the orb's dusty glass like ink in water. Pulling her hand away she said to Euphemia "what on earth is this thing?", and then the orb glowed a little and the aura imprinted words on the edge, it said "The Information Core is a highly intelligent nexus of information for any and all queries regarding content in the possession of the Grand Library.". To which Cardy seemed quite pleased, "most helpful... Euphemia" she then looked to the girl and said "You can stick with me or take a look around at this dreary place - though, to be honest - those corridors seem quite horrific..." she then stared down one of the archways that lead to a spiral staircase of stone and glowing candles that led deep down into the underbelly of the library - it wasn't very inviting to tell the truth and even Cardy understood that. Even during the day she dobted any sunlight would ever get down there, the murky stained glass windows up here hardly worked on the golden sunset either.

This is the start of how it all ends
They used to shout my name, now they whisper it
I’m speeding up and this is the red, orange, yellow flicker beat sparking up my heart

Euphemia

Euphemia rubbed her eyes due to the lingering sleepiness from the long ride. Yawning, she followed Cardy into the library that felt more like a labyrinth considering how many rows of shelves their were. Most of the books looked worn and half of them probably hadn't been touched in decades. Cardy mentioned how they had plenty of light towards the top floors despite most of the library being underground. If Euphemia walked over to the stairs, she could lean over the railing and look at the floors down below. Her guardian seemed eager until she assessed their dilemma as they climbed higher until they came to a cathedral. The arches were high above them and the stain glass windows shined rainbows onto the ground. When they passed through them, the girl put her hands up and spun around delightfully when Cardy wasn't looking. After strolling through the enchanting room, they took a staircase all the way down to the main hall.

Chandeliers lined the golden trimmed ceiling, shelves contained even more books, and ladders were set near them for people to reach the top. Euphemia was so overwhelmed, but the surprising were still coming. In the middle of the foyer was a florescent greenish yellow ball on a pedestal. Cardy reached out and caressed her fingers inside the orb making it reenact strangely. The girl became worried and looked at Cardy as she asked her what the object was even though she had no idea what it was herself. As if by magic, words imprinted on the surface and Cardy read them out loud as she became intrigued with the orb. Turning to Euphemia, she gave her the option to stay by her side or explore and usually she would choose the first option. However, something about the dim candles, murky scenery, and sense of curiosity dragged her in the direction of the stairs. Looking back at Cardy, she gave her a nod and started her journey downwards, wonder what or who she will find.

With the child deciding to explore the library Cardy was able to focus more completely on what she was hoping to find here, considering her runes weren't helping her at all. But... she gave it one last try. Like before Cardy pulled five black runes with white markings on them from a satchel and threw up high. Each of them flew up letting fate decide their answer, mentally she asked them what she wanted and then she caught them. During which time the world around her was almost non-existent, all her focus was on the runes - she needed to know. Opening her fingers to reveal the runes she awaited with bated breath, but her hopes were smashed when each of them were upside-down. Sighign and letting out a groan Cardy began to have a small tantrum like the teenage girl she is. Staring at the runes intensely, she whispered "Is there knowledge of Sincadore Monastary in this library?", she took one last breath and threw the runes high again, this time even higher. She could see them tossing through the air, twisting and turning and letting the mystical energies decide their fate. When she revealed which way they had landed the runes were the right-way up and she smiled with a sigh. the Orb beside her then lit up and began searching for Sincadore Monastery and gave several results in the lower chambers in the Mundane Section. "it's a start" Cardy murmured to herself. Burying the runes back into her satchel she set off towards the staircase that Euphemia went down earlier. She had no time to loose if she was to save her grandmother.

In the lower floors everything was almost pitch black except for the few candles that happened to be lit - it was strange though, each wax candle was surrounded in cobwebs, they couldn't have been lit recently. Coming to an underground dome-shaped room she happened across the Mundane Section. In the middle there was a round table with a map of the Earth on it and inscriptions around the table's edge lit a yellowy-green when she approached. Before she asked the table anything, which she gathered was it's purpose, she called out for Euphemia to see if she was close-by, "Euphemia?" she barely had to raise her voice, this place echoed from top to bottom. "Hm..." Cardy looked around and then caressed the table's edge with her finger tips, it was so dusty and grimy, it made her shudder to touch it again. She stared at Europe and said "Sincadore Monastary", the table quickly sent a glowing light from it's edge until it centred like coordinates on the monastery's location and directed her to the right shelves to find what she was looking for.

"If these books have no information... then I don't know where else to search..."

Euphemia

The albino made it to the last step of the winding staircase which she jumped off of randomly. The lower level was shrouded by darkness with the candles providing a orange tint to everything. Since it was so dark though, she stumbled into a couple of spiderwebs and tripped over loose titles. Luckily, no one was there to watch her spontaneous acts of fear. Eventually, she found herself wondering into a section where there wasn't a signal title she could read. However, she selected books anyway and flipped through the pictures stopping on a few of them. There was a book that contained examples of people using the elements in combat techniques. The one silhouette figure twirling in the green wisps of wind held her attention for a good five minutes. She felt like she had meet someone like this before, but their face and name was a blank. Next, she picked up a book about wizards and examined an elaborate illustration of a woman carrying a staff. "Arcane..." she whispered to herself unable to understand why that word escaped her lips. Replacing that book, she migrated to a different section and ceased yet another book. This one she had to brush dust off of and when she opened it she flipped to a page with an angel.

The angel was surrounded by a white light and stood highly for justice and purity. Euphemia absentmindedly touched the picture feeling sad like she had left something or someone behind. The last book showed several of pictures of instigated battles and many soldiers wielding weapons. After she quickly flipped through the gory images, she slid the book back into place as she turned her head when she hear an echo of her name. It must be Cardy searching for her because no one else knew who she was. Trying to pinpoint the voice, Euphemia became distracted of a hanging mural of a holy mountain that was draped over one of the shelves. Staring at it closely, she placed a finger to chin remembering familiar surroundings. Towards the bottom of the mural was a circle of monks sitting on one of the floating islands meditating. She was definitely sure that she's seen this somewhere before and went to go find Cardy to ask about it.

Making several wrong turns, she eventually spotted Cardy that leaned over a map infused into a table. The table activated flashing a light and pointing out the destination she asked for. The albino ran up to her before she could go to the section she was assigned too, and grabbed her wrist. She gestured back to the way she came and said, "I need to show you something!"

Awaiting for Euphemia to finally show up, Cardy became fixated on a book that actually had details on Sincadore Monastery, flicking through the pages she skimmed over information she already knew about it's purpose and growth, even it's eventual demise was well written but put down to an unknown cause. "Still nothing on it's where abouts!" Cardy said to herself, angry that what she was hoping to find wasn't even mentioned in this book. Sighing, she heard the approach of Euphemia. "Ah, there you are-" she said, but the girl grabbed her wrist and insisted on showing her something, "Uh... fine, where?".

Euphemia took her down a staircase or two and a corridor before finding a generic room that seemed to hold important books on things of interest, Cardy thought perhaps this is where a lot of how Occulas came to be may be written. "Okay... what's so important about this room?" she asked, looking around and not really seeing anything remotely intersting.

Euphemia

Cardy wasn't to pleased about being dragged around the dreary library, but she had to show her her discovery. Tugging Cardy along, they ended up in the room where the mural of the summit hung. Euphemia halted in front of it and pointed as if Cardy was suppose to know what she wanted. "This mountain. I think...no, I know I've seen it before. The men and woman in the circle at the bottom, I've seen them to I think. What and where is this place?" she asked curiously hoping that she could inform her on something. The longer she stared at it the more visions of her previous life started to pop up. There was a number of questions buzzing through her head, but the answers alluded her and she doubted Cardy knew them all. Some she just wanted to keep in the dark because she didn't want the life she has now to fall to pieces. Everything was so conflicting and eventually a choice would have to be made.

When Euphemia pointed out the painting Cardy stood and stared at it for some time, apparently the girl had been there before or knew the people. Cardy could only thing she must've travelled a lot in her previous life. "Uhh..." Cardy began, scowling at the painting, doing her best to remember something about this place, but she had nothing. But then she noticed a dusty plaque at the bottom of it, she dusted it off and read out "Shiyobusa Summit - Home of the Monks of Timol'bet. It's some important place I guess, I think it's east of Shard and south of Zakernand in the Sea of the Nine. Maybe you've been there in your past life."

Euphemia

It was apparent that Cardy was thinking along and hard but nothing came to mind. However, upon dusting down the plaque at the bottom, she read the name of the place out loud. It rang a lot of bells but none she can recall clearly. "A spiritual mountain in Timol'bet?" Euphemia lowered her head deep in throught because it was far away. Cardy said it was east of two major regions and then across a sea and if it took them a zeppelin to get here, then how many will it take to get there? "Cardy, I have to go there some time. A part of me doesn't want to...but I have to."

"Good luck getting in there" Cardy commented, "I'm im right I've heard that place is private and the monks are rarely visited. No commercial transport goes theres without good reason last time i checked." she would know... she wondered if what she was looking for -. She stopped thinking, she felt something. She stared at the ground and her eyes widened, her chest had a weird feeling and she felt the need to open a book and start delving into it. "It's appeared..." she whispered, "Where, where is it?!" she exclaimed, ignoring Euphemia and becoming frantic. Cardy quickly rushed past Euphemia and into the middle of the room, she needed some space. She pulled out the runes once more and asked out loud "Is it north?!" and caught them, each rune saying no. She tried again "West?!" but again, no. "South?!" she sighed... "... East?" she then asked, and the runes sung back at her with the symbols meaning yes. She looked at Euphemia and said "We've found what we need here, are you still coming with me?"

She was desperate to move, what she needed to save her grandmother has finally showed itself for the first time in a long time, and she wasn't going to lose it. It was a tricky thing to find too, it could come in and out of existence. For once, too, Cardy was not calm and instead seemed... worried? Was that the word?

Euphemia

Euphemia felt inferior once Cardy smashed her plans, but she swore that she would get there somehow. It was obviously the island was remote by the painting, but she could use force or pretend to seek refuge. In that moment, something took over Cardy's thoughts and she whispered to herself as if a world phenomenon had just happened. Frantically, she dug in her purse for those rocks she was playing with earlier, and ran past the girl practically knocking her over. She began shouting out each direction of whatever it was that she was looking for before finally receiving her answer. Once Cardy was satisfied, she exclaimed that they found what they were looking for, actually what she was looking for, and she asked if she still wanted to come along. Euphemia took one last glance at the mural and mental wrote the name down of the summit. She repeated the name several times to herself as she turned to Cardy and nodded. She owned her life to Cardy and when Cardy's search was finished she would leave her guardian and travel to Shiyobusa Summit alone. Cardy looked worried and anxious to leave so Euphemia gave her a small gesture to lead the way since this journey seems urgent.

Reliving our scraped up yesterday,
ζeaɦ Sainte-Croix
We’ll open the way to a hopeful tomorrow!

What even remains,
Within these tiny hands?
My voice merely dispersed into the sky…

Leah has ushered Tsuna along through the city pretty quickly, as if she was trying to avoid the Circle as if they were her enemy. Most people knew that the Circle liked to snoop into other people's business, but it was largely ignored thanks to the fact that they have saved thousands of people hundreds of times. Take the entire Fae race for example, if it wasn't for the Circle, the race would never have even been born, and the humans that they used to be would have perished under the impact of Samus II. But Leah felt unreasonably nervous whenever she got near them. More recently than before, it never used to bother her, not until she started having her dreams. They were sometimes in them, so she was unsure of how to read it.

It wasn't long until she had taken them motorcycling through the wilds and eastwards towards an undisclosed location. As the woods became dense and the grass became tall however they neared their location, surprisingly. Leah came to a stop when much of the trees began to part or become spread across the floor. These trees were old, very old, and many had been ripped from the earth some time ago. Much of the grass became dirtier here too. As Leah stepped off of her bike she gestured for Tsuna to follow and then look out. Ahead of them was a monolithic tower, made of old stone and faded stained glass. At its base was a huge pair of gates, one side was hanging loose from the walls and had half-fallen down. "Welcome to the Grand Library of Kuj'anast" Leah said, beginning her walk towards the entrance. From above ground the library didn't seem like much, it was just a tower, but the real library was hidden beneath the ground. Even to this day, not all the rooms have been explored, but getting inside was difficult. As they neared the building there was a dark, dirty looking green magic that began to glow. A magical barrier stopping them from entering. "Put this on" Leah said, tossing the girl a brooch made of gold with an emerald placed in its center. Afterwards Leah stepped in and the barrier let her pass without problem. "The scholars of Kuj'anast used to wear these centuries ago. Their magic still lives today."

Leah lead the way down the staircase that turned right and down deeper, before opening up into the great hall. This was the largest known room in the library, that lead to all other rooms, staircases, and corridors. In the center was a great green orb that still swirled with an amber magic. Leah let out a sigh, looking around at the place. "I... Haven't been completely honest with you. But for good reason. This is the greatest library in all of Magic Earth. We're not here for the Jewel, not yet. We're going to research Legion. If there's any literature on him then this place should have it, as long as he's old, like i suspect he is. I highly doubt he existed after the destruction of Kuj'anast. We'll use that orb to locate some archives, hopefully. Otherwise we're at a loss and will have to hope we just get to Bergrisok first."

Even the bonds we left gathering dust connect,
As our pasts and futures stand back to back.
We’ll repeat an answer that’s full of inaccuracies,
Then seek the light, reaching out our hands – as many times as it takes!

Even if the reality I’ve obtained is dim,
And I can’t see what lies in front of me,
I feel like I can proceed on this lengthy road,
As long as I’m with you!

Tsuna Miki

Leah was forceful, delegating as little time as possible to the city and its sights. They weren't exactly there on vacation so making haste while avoiding the Circle seemed like the best option. Although, Leah's nerves looked practically shot the entire time and Tsuna was hoping she had a better grip of her senses than the child did. Eventually, the diverted from the town square and took to the forest by motorcycle. As they ventured further into the unexplored, the grass heightened and the tree trunks thickened. Arriving at the location though the terrain had shifted, trees became uprooted from old age and greenery thinned. The vegetation appeared to be in shambles, but to her surprise, this place has been rarely inhabited by creatures of any kind judging by the lack of scents. She stopped closer to conceal her bike as she gestured Tsuna to follow her towards the monolithic tower ahead of them. The stain glass windows had lost their splendor ages ago and the gate keeping intruders out had nearly collapsed from rusting.

According to Leah, this rundown architecture was known as the Grand Library of Kui'anast; but her eyes must have deceived her. The building was half-sunken into the ground so how many archives could it truly hold? The library at Hope had more grandeur than this dump, however, she'd soon realize just how immersive this place is. A dingy green barrier of magic protected the building and the only way in was a brooch displaying a green emerald, similar to the real jewel. Tsuna catch the golden lined brooch and put it on without question as the two of them slipped through the barrier exploring the magic of the Kuhianast scholars.

Leah lead her down a winding staircase where they ended up in the main foyer that lead to all the other small sections of the library. In the middle of the room was a glowing orb of amber colored magic, it acted like an index of sorts. Suddenly, Leah broke the news of delaying the hunt for the jewel and researching more on Legion instead. Tsuna remained calm, but on the inside she was livid knowing that this was just another useless pit-stop. She suggested they use the orb to find their answers more efficiently before racing "Legion" to Bergrisok. Tsuna hadn't said a word or even shuttered, she just slaughtered up the orb and looked up The Dead Marsh. That's where he was last, so to keep up this red haring, she pretended to make this detour seem really.

Again, without a word, she was directed to a back room and she gestured to Leah she'd start there alone. Finally speaking, "It'll be faster to for us to cover different topics on him. I'll start where I first encountered him." She didn't bother to hear and answer as she scurried away. Once in the area, she navigated through the labyrinth of bookshelves until she came to an enclosed opening. The waxed marbled floor had hardly been walked upon and in the middle was a statue of one of the angels from Skyfall. It seemed so odd to have it here of all places, but regardless it lurked over her judgmentally. She sighed and turned to the heap of stone, "I don't think she fully trusts me. She's right to do so because I wouldn't trust me either." She smirked hopelessly to herself, "And you look down on me like I'm the scum of the earth, but I guess you're right to do so..." trailing off at the end inquisitively she noticed something in the angel's hand. Curiously, she scaled one of the closest bookshelves to the statute and insistently discovered a withered Boggling in its outstretched palm. Tsuna gasped in shock and horror as she leaned over to scoop up the Boggling's corpus. The statue was nearly as massive as the ones back in Skyfall so this task of retrieval was more than simple. Tsuna cradled the distorted creature in her cupped hands as tears rolled down her cheeks. "Impossible..." her voice trembled with sadness. "How did you make the journey here, Little One? A Boggling can't survive out of the marshes for long...you would have died before hand..." She felt uneasy, something wasn't right.

Reliving our scraped up yesterday,
ζeaɦ Sainte-Croix
We’ll open the way to a hopeful tomorrow!

What even remains,
Within these tiny hands?
My voice merely dispersed into the sky…

"Very well" Leah replied as Tsuna suggested splitting up. Leah knew the girl probably didn't want to stick close anyway, so she let the Therian do as she pleased as long as it helped them find the information they wanted. She trusted Tsuna would actually help as well, since she must have been wanting to end Legion as much as she did. If only she could tell Arisa about Legion, if only she wouldn't sound like a mad woman. Even if she didn't, Arisa would likely alert Valorious and he would have the entire Divine Host out on the hunt to eradicate the threat. It was simply not something Leah could do. It would put the White Guild into panic. Panic was the last thing the world needed right now.

Leah was deep into the books, especially a very thick, old leather one bound with inscribed crystals along its back, when she heard the sound of something move not far ahead. Leah's head looked up, her black hair falling over her face a little as she gazed around. Nothing seemed out of place, although she couldn't help but feel like she was being watched... or followed. She returned down to her book, flicking a page that was titled "Assault on Ar'bek-zul". She felt a chill move up her spine as she looked over the delicate oil painting on the next page. It was lucky the paper was thick enough to hold such imagery and not smudge, although the colours had faded considerably by now. The Crown of Albanoch Leah thought to herself. She knew much about the city that once displayed wealth and power in the middle of the great desert kingdom. It was long gone now, however. She also knew of the asault upon it made by Asmodius. The city lost an entire army, but no one knows what happened to it. It was suspected to have been lost in the desert, but other reports say squadrons were spotted heading further north, to Sheol. She thought she saw Legion's name, as if by sheer chance when she swore she saw something move out the corner of her eye!

Leah slapped the book shut and as the gust of air blew her hair away from her face her HALO activated. "Tsuna!" she shouted, again, like an angry yet concerned mother. That movement was definitely not Tsuna, it didn't quite have the heavy footing that an angsty teen usually had. Leah turned and atop the staircase they originally came down she saw Legion, fully robed with a black face. "You will not get away this time" Leah stated, "by the laws of Injustira, I will punish you!" Leah was about to jump at him when suddenly a gigantic blade spawned from his face and came shooting towards her, she could see red-hot liquid jetting from it as it came at her. She flinched, then dived out of the way only to crash into a bookcase and tumble to the floor. When she looked up she saw nothing, no blade, no lava, not even Legion. "A trick!" Leah spat, "find Tsuna!" she then demanded of her HALO as it lit up red and got to action, crosshairs locked on and she was chasing the girl down in no time.

When she found Tsuna she was in a room with another High Angel ironically looming over them from above, this one made of dark stone with a crystalled hood. It was no doubt Mesraphael, but what was it doing here? She then turned as she heard whimpering and whispering, this time from Tsuna. She was cradling the air, crying into nothing. Leah's HALO faded away and her eyes looked between Tsuna and her hands over and over until she finally realised. "Tsuna Miki! Snap out of that curse this instant! Legion is toying with you! It's not real, it's not!" At first it seemed like she wasn't going to get through to the girl and so resorted to prayer. "Injustira" Leah began, standing straight and holding her hands crossed over her chest, "High Angel of Justice, let thy justice be done by my hand, may evil be purged!" Leah then held out her thumb and index fingers together to make a triangle as she muttered the Latin phrase of the Injustira Syndicate. White light grew from her hands and as the light touched Tsuna she could see dark, sooty marks appearing on Tsuna's skin. The curse! Leah realised, it was a dark, hellish curse imprinted to the girls skin, invisible usually. She had to save Tsuna and remove it from her at once!
