Chaos caught up with his sister, just as they were both entering the desert from the sky. He glided over to her with a curious tilt to his head as he slowed down to match her flying pace. "I would have expected you at home already. What took your attention?" He asked conversationally, interested in whatever it was that had grabbed his sister's attention.

Dakini was tempted not to tell him, but she figured he would find out at some point or another. Besides, she hated keeping secrets from him. "A mare," she replied simply. Her gaze going a bit distant, she added, "An extraordinary mare." Shaking her head, she glanced at Chaos. "Don't tell anyone, ok? You know how Father gets..." For some reason, Ruin seemed opposed to them finding a significant other, but didn't care if they flung their genetics at any strong Azrien that passed. She didn't get her step-father sometimes... Regardless, the last thing she wanted was Ruin searching out the precious, colorblind mare. If he found out and did something to Audra... well, Dakini didn't know what she'd do. Undoubtedly something rash and violent.

Chaos grinned devilishly as he listened to his sister. "Extraordinary, huh?" He chuckled. "Daki's got a girrlfriend, Daki's got a girlfriend." he teased, letting his wing tip lightly push at Daki so she went sideways before righting herself. He shook his head. "Don't worry, I won't tell Father, as long as you keep my mare a secret too." he said with a grin.

Dakini, for once, didn't get flustered at the teasing. She wished Audra was her girlfriend. She wasn't sure if that was where they stood or not... Her expression darkened slightly with her depression at their separation. The mare didn't sneer or grin at Chaos's remarks, replying as if it was an everyday comment instead of a well-kept secret. "If I had been planning on telling him about her, I would've done so already." Which she hadn't. A secret between her and Chaos stayed a secret between them unless told otherwise by the secret-giver. So unless her step-brother said otherwise, she'd take his secrets to the grave with her. Well, if she ever ended up in the grave. She wasn't sure she could, being of demon blood. Maybe she would but would have the longevity of her demon side?

Chaos chuckled and shook his head, his face growing more and more impassive the deeper they got into the desert. "You'd think they don't want visitors from how far in the desert they live." He joked, his voice flat and emotionless.

"They don't," Dakini replied flatly. "Dad wants them as far away from other Azrien as possible so he can have Father all to himself." It was true, in a way. She'd found her father had a nasty jealous streak when it came to Ruin's conquests. The demon tolerated them and had no ill-feelings towards the step-children that resulted, but there was a clear hatred of the mares Ruin had children with.

Chaos smirked. "Think Father will ever get the snot beat out of him by Demoni for all the mares he takes? They are 'mates' after all." He asked, his countenance fully changed form his emotion filled northern exterior, to the son of a high leveled Six Stallion, his features as 'evil' as any others out there.

This time a smirk cracked her passive expression. "If he does, I want to be there when it happens." That would be a sight to see. Demoni didn't go against Ruin. He would negotiate, but Demoni had always made it clear that Ruin was the leader of their little army and not him. But she wondered if Ruin would ever find himself on Demoni's bad side. She couldn't help but want to see that, for curiosity's sake.

Chaos smirked and focused back on the land below, his musings quiet.
(finished until after Chaos's death?)

Audra was out. Though she couldn't see, the tugging of her heart sent her out. She had to go. She had to find her. Something was wrong.. Something... something horrible. So she stumbled along, trying hard to keep herself from looking like she was a having a hard time of it, because.. just think... a blind stumbling mare would be a good target... Though she wouldn't go without a fight. She had to get to Dakini.

Dakini stumbled away from the place that Lacey and her family resided, numb. Part of her still couldn't accept it. Roman... Roman was gone. Deceased. Dead. Killed by his own father's orders. Her stepfather's. She was wrapped in turmoil as she forced herself westward. She couldn't go south right now. If she did, she was positive she'd do something she'd regret like launch herself at Ruin for the foolish task he'd given her precious step-brother. Maybe while she was in the north, she'd go find-- Was that Audra stumbling about ahead of her? It only took a single, quick inspection to confirm her thought. It was. She took off towards the other mare, her throat too tight to call the other mare's name. The instant she reached Audra's side, the pent-up tears she'd been holding back flooded out at once. Dakini knew the warrioress wouldn't be expecting her, but she just... she needed someone she trusted right now, someone that wasn't a southerner. She needed Audra...

Audra almost panicked with the stranger accosting her, but she relaxed visibly as she smelled that normal smell.. the odd combination of sulfur and leather. It was comforting cause she knew who it was. Audra was quiet as she looped her neck around Dakini's and held her close, letting the female cry. "Dakini... What's wrong?" She asked softly.

Dakini took several moments to calm down enough where she could reply. "Roman... Roman's dead..." More sobs racked her frame as she moved closer to her precious mare. This is who she needed. Audra wouldn't mock her for her emotional weakness like her father and step-father would. The warrioress was safe to express herself around.

Audra unwound her neck and stepped back, as if to see Daki's face. "Roman... Roman your brother?" She asked carefully. At Daki's answer she cuddled her again. "Sh.. its okay." She murmured comfortingly
