Once the center crystal fully melted, the spark at its center suddenly burst in a radiant light. A wave of heat blasted outwards, immediately melting the remaining ice in the room. The area soon grew more dim, back to its normal state of light, but then the brush around the room ignited, starting with the one closest to the center spark. It continued around until they were all ablaze.

Shun looked around at this, noting that they seemed to make a pattern in the room, though it was hard to tell just what it was. Not only that, but he could see the brazier outside was lit as well. The flames for that were the same black ones as the other one.

"Good work Danny."

Oh Jack, everything was blazing all of a sudden. Squinting at the flames, Xiu turned to glance at Danny, offering the ghoul a smile and a small nod of her head. "Yes, fine! A little overwhelmed by this place I suppose, but besides that! Good job, Danny!"

And of course, most importantly, both she and Mitsu had returned back safely from their little missions. Thank Jack for that.

Hhm, so, what was next? From the looks of things, they had to light each brazier, which meant... "Do we keep going, aniki?"

Shun took a step back as the heat overcame him. He managed to not get burned, but that was a pretty close call there. Shaking his head, he made his way back on out. Another faint glow could be seen at the altar.

"Yeah. We just have two more rooms left, now."

And such, he began walking to the next door.

The fragrant scent was rather strong in this place. A pinkish mist covered the area. Shun didn't get much of a chance to really look around as his senses began to dull. Those who entered would find themselves in a rather Trance-like state. Xiu would as well, but her dreamwalking abilities would keep her safe.

This dream realm was a labyrinth. But perhaps the source of this sleeping scent would be found here...

Considering that some of the haze had crossed over into this world, it seemed like a safe bet--or a decent possibility at least--that the source of the fragrance could have been coming from this world. With that in mind, there was nothing to do but to try and track it down.

...How was the question, though. Looking around, it was clear that she was in some kind of maze, and the fact that the smell was wafting around her and practically enveloping her made following it a hassle.

Nothing to do but try and find her way forward, she supposed.

Another dead end. While she wouldn't get lost using this method, it was definitely rather time consuming. Perhaps it would be best to just go through it by instinct and luck alone? That definitely had the potential of being faster.

...Assuming that she didn't get horribly lost.

For the record, Danny fell asleep on top of Freya.

Once Xiu had made her way through the maze and destroyed the source of the sleeping mist, the pinkish haze slowly vanished. All those who had been put to sleep would soon awaken. The room itself was fairly plain, though towards the center was what appeared to be a shattered orb.

The brazier in front of the room was now lit as well.

Shun groaned lightly as he came back around.

"..What the hell just happened?"

When Freya had fallen asleep, she had cuddled up with Danny like a teddy bear, so used to being cuddly with someone that she had just done it by nature.

And when she awoke, she didn't seem very perplexed to be curled up, holding Danny in her arms.

"We all fell asleep? I thoughts it was just me.." She yawned out, disentangling herself from the demon.
