Sakina growled and kicked harder. "Won't ya ever leave me alone?" Gosh, this male was persistent! She snarled as she was suddenly lifted, and tried to yank back, but he was stronger than she was. When their lips pressed together, her eyes widened in shock, and her body turned to stone. What...? What was...? ...Were all men this warm?

In fact, he had managed to at least quiet her a moment. Now that her thoughts no longer raged, focusing more on the warmth of those lips, she blinked to clear her glassy gaze. What magic was this?! Feeling her cheeks burn, she was thoroughly confused by the reaction she felt within herself. "Escort..?" Shaking her head, she snorted and looked away, glaring at the nearby tree. Her voice dripped with sharp sarcasm; "And where're ya planning to escort me, great hero?"

“If I didn’t have a conscience then I would.” Muttered Kallan in response to her question. He really was still asking himself the same thing honestly. Why was he so intent on seeing that she made it out of here alive? Just because of a pretty face? His nose wrinkled. With the way she acted any charm was definitely far gone from his sight. Just a nuisance really for him.

At her silence he was actually slightly amused if not surprised. He was expecting a more violent reaction for that move. After all she tended to love physically mauling him. His gaze flickered down towards where blood was staining the blade in his arm, “To your home.” He retorted sharply, “Do you think I want to keep you around longer than necessary, ya nuisance? I just want to see you safely back to where you belong.” He still didn’t believe that a female could be living out here all alone. Surely she lived on the outskirts of the forests or at least with another to help her. If not…his gut clenched. He didn’t want to think of her luck running out. He just wanted to dump her off and go. That was all.

Sakina couldn't believe this. Her first kiss, and it's from some jerk with a head full of rocks! Growling softly, she gave her arms another yank, and pushed against his chest. "Call me a nuisance... Yeh must have leaves in yer ears. ...Fine. If it'll get ya ta leave, then ya can follow me home. Jus' be sure ya forget where it is the moment ya leave. I don't want ta be woken in the middle of the night with yer mug staring at me through my window."

Turning, she tugged in the direction her home was; which was certainly not toward the outskirts. She led the male around her traps without bothering to point them out to him. Maybe he would get caught in one on the way out and get the idea through his head that she wasn't some child to be pushed around, or some weak woman to be taken advantage of.

Really, it wasn't much deeper into the woods before they sighted a ramshackle home. The wood was in decent condition, but was nothing special. Clearly very old. The yard was clear, with a tiny garden off to one side. "Here. I'm home. Now git goin'."

Kallan snorted, “Trust me. Once I get you somewhere I’ll gladly forget everything about this.” Like he would want to stalk such a crazy female! Loosening his grip the male slowly let go of her but kept his hand behind him on his pack where another blade was resting. There was no telling with this lady. He definitely wasn’t going to drop his guard. Following her carefully Kallan frowned as he realized they were going further into the woods and not towards the outskirts. Was this some sort of trick? Was she lost or trying to lose him now?

“There is no way.” He muttered before staring at the ramshackle home, “This obviously has to be a joke.” How long had this home of her’s been here? His gaze flickered around the clearing. Such a ramshackle home…how did she live here by herself? “Alright. Tell me where your real home is.” If the yard wasn’t clear with the garden the cervitaur would argue that it was abandoned. It should be considering…He just shook his head, “I still don’t believe that this can be your home, lady.”

"As will I," Sakina muttered loudly. She couldn't wait to be able to forget all about this encounter! She kept twitching her ears back and peeking over her shoulder, making sure he wasn't getting too close again. Who knew if he would try to steal another kiss from her?!

When he reacted to her home, well, she was immediately ruffled. "And just what the heck is that supposed ta mean?!" she snapped, stomping a hoof. "This here is my home. Been here since before I kin remember. That wood is mine. That garden is mine. Them furs an' cookin' pots an' fishing gear an' food in there is all mine." She crossed her arms and glared at the male. "Of all the snot-nosed, snobbish, hair-brained reactions! Don't you be coming 'round here and mocking mah home. I'll run ya through with yer own knife if ya don't stop looking at my land like it's some naga swamp!" To make her point, she lifted the blade and took a harmless swipe at the air. "Might not be like whatever mansion you apparently live in, but it's my home, an' I won't stand for ya balkin' at it."

Kallan looked back at her with a frown at her response. Out of all things…she really was riled up about this. So this was her home then? “I can believe it’s been here that long.” He wanted to poke at the walls just to see if they could stay standing with that slight pressure. But the longer he looked the more he realized that the wood was sturdy, just really old. Old and weathered like a tree about to fall. Still he wanted to poke at it and see just how sturdy it was. No doubt she would chastise him for that one as well. Though that even made it more tempting…

His ears twitched, “Snobbish, hair-brained?” He was actually bewildered by the insults. It wasn’t his fault that this place looked like it had been sitting here for centuries! Maybe some termites and a few good winds could do the trick. Kallan laughed quietly under his breath, “I don’t even think a naga would deem this as a home.” He commented before shaking his head, “And I don’t live in any mansion thank you very much. At least it’s not thing...” As she flashed his own knife at him the cervitaur snorted, “I did not escort you out here to have a knife fight with you. Seriously? Is violence the only thing you do?”

Tail flicking with irritation, Sakina crossed her arms again and glared. "Oh, just go ahead and find yerself a naga swamp ta compare this ta. With any luck, they'll be hungry and ya won't have ta worry about seeing this place again."

Her ears perked at his question about violence. Blinking, she looked down at the blade, and back up at the male. "The answer is simple. Quit insultin' me and what's mine, an' I'll stop wanting to run ya through!" She looked back at her home and snorted. "Now, yeh escorted me home. Done yer special duty. Now git." She turned and headed for the little shack, still twirling her adversary's blade in her hand.

“Ahaha.” Kallan snorted, “Like such things could touch me.” He shook his head, his antlers flashing proudly in the sunlight. He was confident of that. Hmph. Such creatures using trickery and nasty dark magic to fight held no fear for him. He would just rip them to shreds before they could even try. Years of being alone in the forests had taught him that.

“Oh! Like I could believe that!” He retorted pointing at her accusingly, “I swear, I would believe you just live to threaten others! Like it’s some sort of thrill or somethin’.” He spat towards the ground, “If you call this place a home that I can easily leave you in then I really must wonder about you as well.” Kallan held up a hand against her, “Don’t even think about trying to stab at me again either for that one. It’s true though…” His nose wrinkled slightly as he looked back towards her home, “Do you really live here alone?” The place probably needed some patching or something. He sighed. Out of all things…was this just some funny joke to the fates out there? Leading him to such a crazed female out in the middle of these woods where he had already promised to not watch another die. That was right…it just had to be out here out of all the places…Kallan shook his head, “Anyway. I’m still trying to figure out how you’ve survived out here for so long.” Especially with how she picked fights so well.

Her own snort slipped out as the male claimed such confidence against the naga kind. Riiiight...

Sakina bristled as she heard the sound of spitting, and spun again at yet another insult. She ground her teeth together and growled, hands clenched into fists. "I don't threaten anyone 'less they're bein' a pain in my backside, like you! I like ta think tha' most taur have the decency ta not insult a woman's property as much as a blockhead like you!"

Growling out of frustration, bringing her hands up to dig the heels of her hands into her eyes, unconcerned of the blade dancing around her face, sarcasm thick as molasses in her voice. "You wanna know how I live? I have a big strong man like yerself who comes by an' brings me food. Then, he combs my hair for me, an' bathes me. Then, he tells me whatta good little girl I am, tucks me inta bed, and goes on his merry way." She dropped her hands and glared at the male. "There. Suck on tha' fer a while. Git! You know, before my big manbeast comes back and beats ya for having so dang much nerve threatenin' his property."

Kallan growled low in his throat, “At this point I’m really starting to wonder if you’re really a woman anyway.” He reached up and itched his ear before pulling another stray strand of forestry from his hair. This was insane. Why was he even standing here arguing with her? Such a stupid female, he should just turn back now and leave her be. She could rot her for all he cared. She did have one of his knives though…Kallan frowned. He could imagine her aiming for him once his back was turned and then thwack! Another fight would begin if she didn’t manage to hit his spine.

“Ooooh, so nice and sarcastic aren’t we?” He retorted sharply. Such a smart mouth on this one! He laughed though, “I would might believe it save for the fact that no one could stand living with somethin’ like you.” Or that he could imagine something as wild as her even settling down to let anyone control her. That he learned quickly enough just from meeting her earlier. He sighed heavily, “As it is would ya give my blade back and I might consider leavin’ this mess of a place?”

"Oh. I see. So women can't be strong an' independent? They can't really be female if they ain't swoonin' at your hooves?" Sakina was so very tired of this male. Yet, he was so cute when he was mad~

However, her determination left her in a flash. No one could stand living with her..? She could remember telling herself that as a child when her family had disappeared. A tiny ache began in her belly, but she swallowed and forced it away. She looked down at the blade and huffed loudly, lifted her chin and smirked. "No. I'm gonna keep it as a consolation prize for all the hassle you given me!" She waggled the blade around, and turned back to the little shack.

Of course, there was nothing like timing. She pushed the door open, and slammed it shut behind herself. Right then, the bolt lock broke, so the door kept swinging outward. It slammed into the wall, popping the hinges and falling the the ground with a dull thud. With shoulders bunched tight, Sakina's tail twitched with frustration, and she turned to the open doorway. "Not a word outta you, bucky!" she snarled in a low tone, pointing the blade at the male again as she went to grab her door from the ground.

“There’s a difference between being independent and barbaric.” Kallan replied before rolling his eyes slightly at her response, especially at the swooning part. What was up with her and being such a smart mouth? She really knew how to get under his skin. “As if I want anyone swooning over me…” He muttered glancing back over at her. Did that mean she thought he was attractive though? The cervi shook his head. Nope, not even going to think about thinking that ever again. Clear it out, Kallan. This one is just a bunch of trouble.

He just stared as she turned around with his blade. She was seriously trying to take his knife? “Hey now!” Dammit that thing was old, but it meant something to him. He was about to approach her and beat the door down in protest, but the door surprisingly did it for him. At her reaction he could already feel his mouth twitching upwards in a grin. Such a good sturdy place right? Kallan just placed his hand over his face and pulled it down to try to make his grin disappear. But nah it was still there even when he approached her as she fought with the door, “So about that house of yours…” He began before walking past and tapping on the doorframe which was pretty much busted too. She really lived here all alone? The cervitaur shook his head sadly. This really was a mess.

There was only one other thing that could make this perfect and at the thought a fat raindrop began to hit his back before it was followed by many more.

Sakina grit her teeth hard to keep from throwing the blade at that smirking face. Damned door... Of all the times, why now?! Hefting the door back upright, she pressed her lips tight and kept her chin up. "No. There ain't nothin' 'bout my house. It's my house. I have ta fix the dang door. Git outta my way."

But then... her eye twitched as she felt the rain begin to fall. Slowly, her eyes rose to glare death at the sky. Was everything against her today? First the big lummox shows up, and then the door, and now rain! She hadn't fixed the holes in the roof yet... She cleared her throat, and used the door to push the male out of her way. However, her fighting spirit was finally starting to diminish a little. "Don't wantta git yurself stuck in all this rain, do ya? Go home..." Maybe the rain would finally get the buck to leave...?

Kallan just held his hands up quietly though his expression still spoke of his amusement. Backing up he watched as she started to fight with the door more and then looked towards the sky. As it began to pour his ears twitched at the slight sounds of water dripping from inside the home. Really? His amusement flickered for a second with actual worry. How was she living here? It wasn’t even the fact that she was a female, it was just the idea that she was alone out here…in this place too. He sighed at the decision rolling around in his mind. After all that fighting and her stubborn attitude there was no way that he should even be considering it.

Yet he was.

“So I can leave you in it yourself?” He commented shaking his head, “I swear you are a hassle and a half.” He must have pissed off some very malicious spirits to get stuck here with this one. He reached out and grabbed the door as well and pushed it back up towards the doorway into a slightly slanted, but upright position. “Either you let me help you with this mess or I drag you back to my home where you can actually spend the night without getting flooded out. Preferably we wait it out then get to my home so that we can wait til the weather is better. This much old wood needs a lot of replacin'. And don't even give me sass right now. I'm offering to help you dammit so don't be a stubborn mule.” With this type of rain…Kallan looked up. It could actually be a flash flood. There was no way her roof would keep out that much water easily.

Even as the male helped to prop the door up, Sakina kept a hard grip on the door. Why...? She'd been by herself all these years. She'd been fine. She'd learned how to survive. So what if she wasn't the greatest at upkeep for the house? "Yer the stubborn mule," she grumped, sassing him anyway. Huffing, she rolled and popped her neck before letting the door go, every muscle tight as she gave an inch. "Fine. What's it yer gonna help me with, hero?"
