Amarilla looked up, and smiled when Trevor appeared above her. How wonderful! She hadn't seen him since their first encounter on the track!
"Well hello there!" she said, wondering if she should get up and like, shake his hand. That was the polite thing to do. But they were friends, and friends didn't shake hands! So she decided to play it cool and remain in her chair.
"It's nice to see you too! What have you been up to?" She indicated a chair next to her with her hand and a "Here! This chair is open."

Trevor sat down beside her shrugging a bit "not much, to be honest just enjoying summer and the beach." He told her. " although it gets really hot on some summer days, which is why its nice to go swimming when you can" he said and tilted his head to the side " what have you been up to?" He asked her. Last they met up it was during the school year when he was running on the track.Since then they hadn't met up.

"Sup, Venice. Name's Dustin," he said with a grin and a head nod, wrapping his arms around Porsha's waist. He rested his chin on her shoulder, eyeing the girl's now-empty glass. Which only made him realize he wasn't holding any glass in his hand. Something that needed to change, obviously. "Don't worry, I wouldn't do a thing to hurt her. I mean, no pain without pleasure." "I'm going to go grab another round of drinks," he added. "Why don't you two talk about great and sexy I am while I'm gone, k?" He slid his arms back to himself and gave a light double-pat to Porsha's a** before heading off to the bar to order drinks for three.

As the nine o'clock hour struck, a high pitched wizzing sound screeched over the skyline and erupted into a loud boom as the first firework launched into the night and brightened the entire beach. The fireworks' reflection glimmers in cool waters, creating a beautiful mirror image of the sparkling lit-up sky. The fireworks show has begun, creating a sure-to-be memorable atmosphere for all of the open party's guests.

The look on Porsha's face as Dustin's arms slid around her from behind was nothing short of smug as she grinned up at the black haired women beside her. "To be fair I was already pretty corrupt by the time I rolled into your life." God, had it really already been a year since she'd lied her way onto the roller derby team? She could scarcely remember what life was like without the aid of her fake id. "As I'm sure you remember." As Dustin's chin came to rest on her shoulder the teen turned her head so she could press her cheek to his, grinning ridiculously at first Venny and her threat's, then D and his assurances. "Fear not, Roller Mama, any pain exchanged is purely consensual." There was so much less drama involved when you removed the confinement of labels. They were having fun, no strings attached. It made things incredibly easy. The promise of another drink was sweet to Po's ears, and she gave a bark of a laugh when her a** received a double pat as Dustin slid through the crowd to fetch them all a round of something tasty and inebriatimg. "I know what I'm doing later," was casually thrown in, punctuated by the unmistakable whistle and boom of a firework. "s**t! Hurry up, D!" She didn't want to miss the show.

It was Amarilla's turn to shrug. "I've been working on a painting that I decided to do, and found a few new recipes involving ginger that I would really like to try. If only my grandpa didn't hate ginger.." she mumbled at the end, truly sorry that the dear old man didn't like it was much as she did.
She left the part out about becoming a knight of Venus, and running around at night dressed like something out a medieval fair. That wouldn't make her crazy or anything in the boy's eyes...
When the first burst of fireworks flickered overhead, her eyes shot up sharply, taking in the glittering remains of the firework. She sucked in her breath lightly, and said "Oh how lovely! They are really pretty, aren't they?" The brown eyes that looked back to Trevor were glittering with child-like excitement.

Trevor listened to her talk " well, sounds like a nice hobby. I should take you to a art museum one day" he said but of course just as friends. " well, i'm sure you will find someone to taste your ginger dishes" he told her.
He too was leading a double life but only a few knew who he really was. Some things were better kept then told just so no one thought he was crazy.
He shifted his gaze towards the clear skies and watched the fireworks go off. The light from reflecting off his eyes. That was the only thing he came to do watch the fireworks and catch up with some friends. He grinned and glanced at Amarilla "indeed they are lovely" he said agreeing with her.

It both amazed and pleased Jack to discover that the people of Destiny City hadn't let years of mysterious deaths and heinous crimes dampen their American pride. If these people were smart, they'd forget all about the fourth of July and lock themselves up inside. However, for those that had gathered at the beach, getting laid and wasted seemed to trump the risk of having the life sucked out of you.
Jack wasn't complaining. He shared their priorities.
Parties were kind of his thing. He'd started knocking back shots of tequila the night before with BJ and Ducky, had already been drunk and then sober again, and was currently working his way through round two on the beach. Jack sat with his best friends on the sand, drinking beers and encouraring every pretty girl that walked by to come and play some games with them.
He wore a red speedo, because Jack was shy about nothing, and smoked a cigarette. The fireworks drew his eye, and then so did long pink hair. Jack reclined, listened to Amarilla's exchange with Trevor, and then interrupted:
"Hardly as pretty as you are, sweetheart."
Ducky and BJ shotgunned some beers, and laughed at each other when they foamed everywhere.

It was never a good idea to give Vanessa alcohol. Sober, she was reckless and impulsive. After a tango with spiced rum, inebriated, she was a steam-powered locomotive speeding towards train wreck. " RIIIIIICKYYYY!" It had been a long time, since she'd seen the sweet-talking southern man. Vanessa was not surprised to discover that she'd missed him, because she tended to miss everyone if they were apart for too long. She launched herself at him from across the beach, running with her hands in the air and a smile the size of the sun on her face. Vanessa wore a simple black bikini, and a pair of cut off jean shorts that would have given Daisy Duke a run for her money. Her hair was longer now, because she'd been too lazy to get it cut, and held in check, out of her face, with a bandana. "Oh my god, it's been forever! I'm so happy to see you!" Ricky better have been prepared to get the stuffing hugged out of him.

Evalia Catling had driven past the set up of some sort of part earlier that morning. Sure she knew it was the forth of july, its why she had hit the store so early, only being open for a short while on the holiday. The city really got into it, and she couldn't blame them. The sense of comradery that fell over the city was contagious, and by the time noon hit she had made up her mind to visit the Beach party.
Really, why shouldn't she? She had been working hard at school, and... other things. She deserved a break!! So she dug out her swim suit, which had been sorely neglected this year, threw on a light gauzy summer dress, and headed to the beach on her little white vespa. Even without a helmet. She was feeling reckless.
Even the parking lot had become a party!! She blinked at the sheer amount of people, before decideing to dive in. Just as she was making her way through the sea of inebriated bodies, the first firework went off.
It was amazeing, and she found herself staring at them with wide eyes, enchanted like a child, not the willowy 20 year old woman she was.

Prosper was not allergic to parties. He just preferred them with caviar.
It was his mother's fault he ended up on the beach. She insisted that he show his face for PR reasons, as if Prosper wanted his face pasted all over the tabloids. There weren't any paparazzi, anyhow.
Because none of them cared enough to bother him. Prosper was a wealthy boy; heir to the little-bit-more-extravagant-than-modest fortune his mother had made with her designer make-up (and later, clothing) brands. He had delusions about his own celebrity, and made a proper a** of himself wandering around on the beach four feet ahead of his bodyguard. Ralph was a beast of a man-- more of a gorilla, really, with false teeth and hairy knuckles.
"Oh, thank heaven," Prosper said, when the fireworks started at last. He took a sip of water and fanned himself. "The night's almost over."
((will somebody please come and be mean to him? 8DDDD))

Orah giggled as she thought about her birth country, trying to remember the way things had looked to her younger self.
"I dunno, I guess... Its kind of hard to remember a lot of things from there. I was only four when we moved. I remember something like a town house in the city, smooshed between other houses, and a lot of rain... Sometimes I look at pictures and can hardly match it up with what I remember."
The sudden burst of light and sound over head made her duck and the teen laughed as she realized it had gotten dark enough for the fireworks to go off.
"Oh, look! Come on, lets go down the beach a bit so the firelight isn't in the way. Sound good?" She ask as she bounced to her feet and brushed her skirt off to make sure nothing clung to it from sitting on the log.

“Zacy-poo?” He said incredulously He made a half sand impeded attempt to avoid the hug, so not a ‘hug’ person, but failed. “Eeeuugh!” He said crinkling his nose, at least you were already soaked when I tossed the balloon at you!” He scolded. At least he was better prepared for this beach party than the last one. “Nice to meet you ‘Veer’.” He nods, cautiously, eyeing Quinn suspiciously.

"Oh I would love to go to an art museum! I've never been!" She imagined museums to be quite fancy, oh she would have to dress up! How wonderful!
Another pop overhead drew her attention back to the sky, where another firework was blasting bright and beautiful. She smiled warmly. Fireworks were some of her favorite things.
Amarilla looked over her shoulder, noticing first that the boy who had spoken was not wearing very much at all, and he certainly wasn't hiding anything. Her cheeks reddened slightly, and she looked away quickly, saying "Well thank you!" and taking a final sip that drained her glass. Her lack of experience with alcohol was plain to her; she felt a little giddy, a feeling she associated with tipsy.
"But I'm pretty sure those fireworks are prettier. I mean, look at how bright they are! And the colors!" She gushed about fireworks to both of the boys, whether or not they wanted to hear.

And that was why Micah and Castille were friends; they thought along similar tracks. Food. It was the end all be all of everything. Micah tossed her head back in ecstasy as the dream of something to eat headed fast into something in her immediate reality. Honestly, she didn't know what sounded better; the marshmallows or the hot dogs. Is there any reason you can't have both?A fair point. Maybe she would put the mallows on the hot dog or something ridiculous like that. Or maybe not. Or maybe. Whatever. That was a decision to be made after the dog was cooked, which was an art in itself, and demanded all of Micah's attention. "So, Cas. What have you been up to since I've been gone," Micah sung, hovering her dog over the bonfire. "Any new shows I should be interested in?"
