Every now and then a Merphony with these strange shell-necklace markings around their necks pop up. What could it possibly mean? Dunno. But we have TWO Permababbies sporting this mysterious phenomenon, and they're both staring beseechingly at you...oh, wait, no. They're staring beseechingly at these seashells. Creepy.
Throughout the event, there will be various ways to collect seashells (tickets) for these Permababbies – at the end of the event, the person with the highest number of seashells (tickets) will get first pick of these mysterious Mers. The owner of the remaining Perma will then be determined by a raffle roll of the remaining seashells (tickets).
...And you get the first one free! Just follow the instructions below...
Note: Yes, the shell-necklace markings are considered non-normative Twice-as-Fancy markings. Though non-normative, they are endemic to Merphonies and will be (rarely) repeated in the future on other Merphonies. (Check FAQ posts for details.)

. Shell Collecting . The sand seems a little conveniently placed, but there IS the occasional shell that appears after staff wander past... You can only pick one shell up if there is more than one shell in a single post! If there are multiple posts with shell in a short period of time, you can only pick up one shell and must let five minutes elapse before picking up another!
. Mini-Contest . We will be holding mini-contests where you can earn more shells for your hoard throughout the month – so keep an eye out for announcement (in-thread)!
