Eyes and throat. Vulnerable points. Right. Okay.
Why did a wher's eyes and throat have to be so close to the teeth?
Etasha turned away from the human for now; Kleos seemed to have that well in hand, and the woman looked like she was on her last legs. Xanha was more likely to need help harrying the wher. Trying to remember everything she'd been trained on when it came to fighting as a group and fending off whers, Etasha darted in and thrust her knife towards the wher's vulnerable eyes.

Xanha - Attacking Wher
HP: 30/30
1d4 + 3 - 5 damage
They were working together, now. The crimsonrider was going after the woman, still, and she seemed to have it in hand. There were three of them on the wher - it meant that if nothing else, the wher would have to divide her attention between the three of them. And once the wherholder fell (she could see it getting close; Xanha wasn't stupid) there would be four, though Kleos was injured rather severely. Still, they had a fighting chance, perhaps.
Emboldened by the fact that the wher had yet to lash out at her, she darted in and slashed again, moving quickly and staying back behind her wings.

Gold wher - attacking F'itz HP: 105/120 Attack: 1d12+3 Damage: 4 + 3 = 7 The man's attempts to escape only made her fixate on him more. Lips pulling back she chased after him, claws flashing and jaws wide. she snarled, making her mental voice audible to all of the enemy humans. They would pay for coming here with their lives!

Kleos - Attacking wherholder

The wher's cry made her blood run cold but she didn't dare take her eyes off the woman to see how the others were doing. If she did, and the woman managed to flee, then if reinforcements weren't already on the way they soon would be. She needed to finish this, and go to the aid of her allies.

F'itz - Dodge!

Slightly more prepared this time F'itz waited until the last possible moment before diving aside to the right. He felt the claws graze his shoulder but compared to the last blow it was barely a scratch.

"Hey!" snapped Etasha, "Over here, you overgrown wherry!"
Left to its own devices, it seemed that the wher was going to overwhelm F'itz and maul him until he dropped. Which would leave them down a fighter, as well as their designated medic. She redoubled her attack with greater aggression, potentially risking the wher's teeth but also striking deep into the wher's flesh.

Xanha - Attacking Wher

She wasn't sure if it was working or not. The wher's voice in her head made Xanha tense suddenly, but she still wasn't coming at her. Instead, she went again for the grey-haired man. Xanha hissed unhappily, lunging in and swinging at the gold more aggressively, aiming not just to slice superficially but to cut right through the wing membrane. It seemed Etasha was having the same ideas, but Xanha still did her damnedest to catch the gold's attention first. If a dragonrider died, that was two lives lost automatically.
If Xanha died, Ajax would recover.

Wherholder - DefendingHP: 2/25 Defence: 1d8 Damage taken: 6 - 5 = 1 Desperate now the wherholder tried to dive around Kleos and escape up the tunnel, but the crimson rider's blade still nicked her in passing.

Gold wher - attacking Etasha HP: 91/120 Attack: 1d12+3 Damage: 11 + 3 = 14 As a blade slashed across her neck the gold snarled, now rounding on the one responsible. Teeth bared she lunged at Etasha, meaning to catch any part of her she could in her jaws.

This was getting ridiculous! Why wouldn't she just go down so that she could help her friends? Keeping herself between the wherholder and escape Kleos lunged again, trying not to wonder how close more foes might be to discovering them.

F'itz - Healing Etasha with bandage
Suddenly the wher wasn't interested in him anymore, it was after Etasha. Its jaws snapped closed, and it shook the woman violently for a moment before dropping her and snarling around at the rest of them. Seizing the moment F'itz dived forward to swiftly bind one of the rider's worst wounds, hoping desperately that his efforts would be enough.

Wherholder - Defending HP: 2/25 Defence: 1d8 Damage taken: 0! As the rider lunged for her the wherholder dodged to the side and made another break for freedom.

This time Kleos grabbed hold of the back of the woman's shirt, trying to yank her back and drive her knife into her back. She did only what was necessary, she couldn't let this woman escape!... And yet how could she claim to be a woman of honor as she attacked an unarmed opponent?

When the wher went for Etasha, Xanha cursed loudly, and she dodged forward, recklessly, desperate to put herself between the dragonriders and the wher. This was a fight for their lives, and all she wanted at this point was for the dragonriders to have a chance to get out alive. She had no illusions about her own safety anymore. Not everyone was going to survive this fight, and that was all right. A pod helped its most valuable members, no matter the danger.
"Sod off," she hissed to the gold, and struck mercilessly at the eyes.
