He glanced back a few times to make sure the older stallion was still there. When they approached the clearing he paused, "She hasn't moved..."

Auster nudged Euthy to stop him and he paused to consider the Kalona. She looked frail and weak. Her breathing was shallow and her coat was matted with blood and ice from where she had fallen many times.
"I don't think it's a trap."
