Cosine smiled as they began to wind their way around the pictoral labyrinth and looked up to the glass ceiling.
"Well, people who like numbers are generally thinkers, they like to ponder problems and take the time to try and solve them and create patterns. A labyrinth is for reflection and meditation." She walked slowly, bare footed to the beginning of the labyrinth. "You follow the paths and as you follow them you count, it can be in your head or out loud, but the process should help you to focus on things, control your thoughts and emotions. People see deep within themselves when the meditate." Cosine gathered her skirts in one hand and slowly put one foot in front of the other.
"Let's try it. One, two, three ..."

 Count ? It hadn't occured to Caelia to count along, but it could be fun !
And she was so going to get to the end before Kyrie did !
"Okay, mama !" She continued along. "One, two, THREEE~"
Meditation did really need work as far as Caelia was concerned.

"Four, five, six!" Kyrie exclaimed as she picked up her pace to keep up with her sister. Clearly the art of meditation was lost on her as well. It was way more important to be in league with her sister and maybe to overtake her and beat her to the end!

Cosine had to smirk at he daughters lack of concentration, maybe when they were older they would understand the importance of looking within themselves for answers.
As she listened to their irratic counting she counted herself in her head with a slow rhythm. Feeling each of the numbers, simple little things people took for granted, they did not understand the gravity of their meaning and power.
Half way to ten something strange began to happen, with each number whispered from her lips Cosine felt lighter and lighter, as though she was leaving the room.
In reality she was still there, walking the lines of the Labyrinth, around her vectors of green mist had started to gather, following and growing, it wound its way up over her feet, around her legs forming a caccoon of green and yellow vapours, Cosine appeared to be completely oblivious, still counting and walking.

"Seven, eight, nine !" By then, Caelia had apparently forgotten about the maze, and simply reached for her sister's hands so they could spin each other around. It wasn't as effective as when daddy did it for them, but it was still fun !
Eventually, though, Caelia would stop, blinking, when she noticed something seemed strange. "Mom ?" What was she doing ? She'd never seen her do that before !

Kyrie gave a caw of surprise and excitement as her sister turned and grabbed her hands. Spinning around and around, she tilted her head back and laughed her distinctive laugh. When Caelia stopped, she blinked as her head spun and then followed her eyes to their mother at the note of uncertainty in Cae's voice.
"What is she doing Cae?" she asked her sister, squeezing her hand tightly.

As the mist covered her she stopped, it grew thicker swirling factorals that danced and floated in the air. Within it Cosine was unaware of what was happening it was as though she was suspended in time, frozen.
The numbers called to her, whispered in her ear, swirled around her skirts. The whispers became voices, shouts, a roar. It went black, the goddess sank to the floor, her wings trembled, then began to grow, their span expanding, her head pounded as the wings there did the same. The goddess herself grew too, her legs, arms, body, something a little more imposing than before. To her it seemed like the change had lasted a long time, though in reality it was over in a minute or two.
As the vapour cleared, so did the darkness. Cosine found herself lying on the cool floor of the temple, wondering what had happened and why she was there.

"I don't know... Mom ?" It didn't look like she was even hearing them. The mist grew ticker and ticker until she couldn't see though it anymore. "Mom ?"
What was going on ? Caelia frowned, and fought back the urge to panic and cry. That wouldn't help anything, and crying was for babies anyway. "We should go look." Her hand was still tightly holding onto her sister's. Whatever was going on, they could make sure everything was alright together.
When the mist parted, Cosine was laying on the floor and... different. "Mom ? Mom, are you okay ?" Caelia stared, eyes wide.

Kyrie gripped her sister's hand tightly and fluffed her feathers nervously.
"'Kay," she agreed softly and she took a timid step closer to the mass of green vapors that had enclosed their mother. When the mists parted, she swallowed hard and crouched down.
"Mommy? What happened?" she asked, reaching out a timid hand to touch her. She looked sooo different.

The changed goddess looked up from the floor at her daughters worried voices and smiled at Kyrie as she touched her. She felt different, in control and grounded. She took a deep breath and shifted to sit up.
"It's okay, I'm okay." She replied, fussing with her dress a bit as it had become tighter. "This happens, when we grow. I am a full god now, like your father." She examined her hands a moment and flexed her wings a little. "Do I look very different?"

There was such a thing as non-full god ? This definitively was news to Caelia. Her mother seemed fine, however, so that would curb the worry down a little bit.
"A little bit." Not all that much, at least not outwardly. Bigger wings, bigger everything really.

Kyrie watched her sit up and glanced her over.
"Your wings are so biiig," she breathed in awe as she admired them. "And your feathers here," she gestured by putting her hands over the sides of her head, "are bigger too." She paused a moment and edged closer to her. "You sure you're not hurted?"

Cosine smiled at the pair of them and reached up to touch the wings at the side of her head, they were a little sore but her daughter was right, now they were like real wings.
"No, I am not hurt, not really." Sure, things ached but when you changed like that it was to be expected. At least she knew it would be the list time she would change like that. "I am sorry if I scared you both."

Caelia simply grinned. "That didn't scare me !"
Yes, of course. She had not been holding her sister's hand, shaking like a leaf, as she tried to gather her courage. Of course not !

Kyrie looked to her sister at her bold claim and reached up to tug at the end of her beak as she thought it over a moment.
"I was a little scared," she admitted quietly as if that were something to be ashamed of.
