Heidi's laughter only got Tuck going more. He was absolutely roaring with laughter, doubled over with his elbows on his knees and the heels of his hands pressed to his eyes. Herryk didn't seem to understand the humor and couldn't help but wonder if his bonded had lost his damn mind. Maybe he had, but it felt real good to laugh as hard as he was laughing. "Sh-s**t, Heidi, you're gonna ********' kill me."

Matilda was just as lost and confused as Herryk. Had she chosen a defective Hunter? Oh dear...was it too late to change her mind? Could she take back her decision if her Hunter proved to be a complete lunatic unfit for social interaction and completely mentally unstable?
She'd made a horrible mistake.
Meanwhile Heidi was feeling on top of the world..or...on the bottom of it considering she'd just sloooowly fallen out of her chair onto the floor. At least it was a gradual thing and not just a sudden slam. Her legs were still on the seat, the rest of her was on the floor, with her arms crossed over her abdomen as she laughed.
Eventually she sighed, trying to regain control of her breathing. Well that had been fun! They should really do that again sometime. "Sorry, Tuck~. At least it'd be with a smile?"

Tuck leaned forward in his seat to peer down at Heidi, elbows braced on his knees. He had a huge white grin on his face and there were still tears in his eyes but he'd gotten control of his breathing. "Damn right," he retorted matter-of-factly, shaking his head as he grinned down at her. "Ain't laughed like that in a long time. Now," he clapped his hands on his thighs and rose to his feet, leaning over once more to offer her a hand up, "gimme your hand and get offa that floor. Ain't no place for a," he squinted, "lady?" That grin never left, and his dimples were out in full force as he smiled.

Heidi happily accepted Tuck's help up, though she didn't make it easy. She hung from his arm with all her weight for a moment before slowly pulling herself up off the floor basically using his arm as a climbing rope until her feet fell to the floor and she was able to support herself with them. Tuck looked like a strong guy; he wielded a huge awesome axe and had been in the army, he had to have some kind of muscle to him..right? "...Why did you sound so unsure about lady?" Heidi gave Tuck a narrow-eyed glare, her lips pouted and her tone dark and menacing. She was still playing with him but she couldn't smile for every joke. "It's your fault I was down there to begin with, Zilla man. Totally your fault."

If there was one thing that Tuck was usually willing to brag about, it was his impressive physique. Though Heidi made no move to make it easy for him to help her to her feet, Tuck didn't struggle in the least. He worked out, took care of himself - sure, he kind of ate like a pig, but he was a big boy!
"Cuz you was just layin' on the floor," he drawled, grinning broadly at that adorable pout. "Although you're right, I suppose I can take full responsibility for it."
Dat pout. Too ********' cute.
"Next time we do somethin' like this, we oughta do it in a place where we won't get weird looks," he smiled in passing to a Life hunter that was shooting them an odd, worried look.
"Pretty sure they think we're crazy as all hell."

Tuck pointed out concern over weird looks and people thinking they were crazy and Heidi looked around, spotting the Life hunter. She grinned and stood on her tiptoes, raising her arm and flailing it in a very enthusiastic wave at the Hunter. "HIIIIIIIII~!"
The Life hunter's brow furrowed and he raised his hand in a tiny, awkward wave back.
Heidi dropped her arm and put her hands on her hips, turning back to Tuck. "Who cares what they think. We had fun." She raised a hand to give the man a playful punch against his chest, one of her knuckles popping as she did. Holy crap! He was like a freakin' brick wall! No wonder her arrows barely did anything to him! Heidi held her hand and just stared at Tuck's chest with a look of wonder. Geeze. "You gotta teach me how to become a brick house like you, dude. Geeze."
She shook her hand as if that would rid her of that bit of pain from her knuckle being forced to pop like that, flexing and clenching her fingers. "Hm. Well...walk a lady back to the dorms? We should spar again sometime, maybe we can get some practice in and not suck next time." She was still smiling even as she said this. It was true, man. That spar had been kind of pitiful. All that missing.

Tuck immediately made a show of flexing, curling his arms in front of him for a second before making his pectorals dance independently. "Uuuuhhnnn, you like that, short stack?" He was grinning massively, and stopped what he was doing to nod his head. "Damn right we had fun. And this piece of perfection took a long time - a lotta hard work, but if you're really interested, start jogging with me in the morning and we can go from there. I'm always down for more trainin' - can't get better without practice." He held out his arm so that she could loop hers through it. "What room they got you in?"
