Rin relaxed physically and sighed, "Oh fine, be that way." She watched him try and sleep. The smile put her at ease but she couldn't help the worried look on her own face. Did he regret it? Were things okay? Was he going to avoid her now like he threatened before?

He mocked her sigh and, without opening his eyes, asked. "What is it, Rin?" He didn't know she was a bed talker. "If you want me to help burn that energy running laps around the island or something, you are on your own." Some of us did not feel like doing jumping backs when there energy had been used up elsewhere.

He opened his eyes to look at the ceiling. "About what?" He asked, interested though hesitant. Considering they were both prodders, a 'just thinking' wasn't going to go without a question.

He looked down to look at her. "You were the one avoiding me. I was waiting for you to show up. Oh wait, you were camping." He said, raising one bare hand up to air quote.
Dropping his hand to touch her hair, he breathed out. "It's up to you if, after all that happened, you want to continue. You said you really liked me. Just...wanted to give you a idea of the full scope in case you changed your mind. I'm ...not a easy ride." At least not for other people. He was comfortable in how his life was, but when relationships came, things usually became very complicated and not the type of complicated that was typical for relationships - as if he had typical ones.
"I wouldn't hate you if you changed your mind. We can go back to being friends if you want." Anything was better than nothing.
Rep's words clawed at the back of his thoughts. You hurt people. Regret and worry turned his insides.

Rin looked irritable as she reached up to fwap him in the face, "I don't mean that." She quickly withdrew the hand to relax again. "But, you're being silly. I haven't changed my mind. At all. Just so you know."

He rubbed his face, not used to anyone just rubbing their hand on it. It was a good thing that Rin cleaned up, but it still bugged him and it showed. "Well what did you mean?"

"I meaaan you said there was a chance you couldn't look at me after." Rin scooted up him to be face to face, "Well. Can you look at me after?" She tried to slide her hand along his jawline with a playful little smirk.

He stared back at her, then down at the hand trailing his chin, and then back up. "You're kinda making it hard not to." His hand rested on the sheet that rested against her back.
"Are you...okay?"

"I'm perfectly fine," She tilted her head slightly, face still close to his. Her gaze traveled from his chin up to his eyes. She was hoping he'd get the hint, but it was Melvin. Sometimes you had to be blunt for him to understand but when you had to be blunt with certain things, they lost their fun. It was okay though.

Melvin just continued to hold her, watching her watching him, and then shifted a bit as he went back to slowly relaxing.

Yeah. It was okay. Rin slumped against him and closed her eyes. "Eat later?" She murmured softly.

"Sounds good." He mumbled back, stretching momentarily before settling back, closing his eyes, and repeating in his head that for now, everything was fine.
