The large bird knew the scent of the green haired one and was simply tracking him down. The group did succeed in finding Tren and Viel wasted no time and rushing to his aid. Nix was about to do the same when she heard the noises growing louder by the minute. The woman's golden eyes narrowed as she focused on the noises, she knew what it was.. The webs and that skittering sound could only mean one thing. Tren's information confirmed her suspicions. "Spiders.. And by the sounds of it a lot of young ones and the mother." The silverette hopped off Cho and brought out a potion to quickly gulp it down. Her injuries healed some more as she rushed over to her friends to look at Viel, clearly worried. "Get Tren on Cho and tell him to run! We must've stepped on some trigger webs on the way here so these bugs know we're here!"
Nix brought out her pistols and shot a few rounds seemingly at nothing in the dark but the high pitched screeches told otherwise. 'This is bad.. There are a lot of them out there. I might have to use my last resort if they follow us all the way to the exit.' The gunslinger looked at Lynx, glad there was someone around that could also fight at the moment. "According to what Tren has said there is a colony of spiders in here. Once we get out of here we need to seal off the entrance." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Where: Tek Ruins

Tren merely nodded, when Nix re-explained what Tren had already said about the spiders, to the strange man. The boy could hear the familiar sounds of scuttling getting closer as it sounded like the spiders were coming from directly ahead of the group. He heard Nix tell Viel to put him on Cho and get out, but the boy protested. "No. I can stay fight!" He said clenching his daggers near Viel's shoulders.

  I dont feel like I am real......
۞ The mage wasn't surprised that Tren was suspicious of the stranger with the group. "Tren, this is Sir Lynx. I met him at a camp outside the ruins. So far he isn't affiliated with any army. He's the best help for the area since he knows more about it." The mage made a quick introduction of the man who had asked Viel if he knew what made the webs. He thought briefly trying to remember when he subbed a Monster Theory and History class once back in their town. "Hmm..... I'm pretty sure there was a breed of monster spiders called Phantom Spiders, but I don't know much about them." Viel said adding more information to what Tren and Nix said.
۞ Soon the noises got louder and many see-through spider the size of a dog came scuttling from the ceiling and walls up ahead. Tren argued to stay and fight, but it was obvious the boy hadn't recovered enough. Viel had to think briefly as he readied his staff to fend off the spiders. He knew Tren's stubbornness just as much as Nix's. Viel quickly reached in one of the small satchels tied around his waist and grabbed an Elixer. He handed it to Tren. "Here, this will recover some of your energy, but I don't want you fighting right away. You and Cho will serve as back up, my friend."
Viel walked over to Cho and put the boy on it's back and pointed to Cho to go a few feet back. The mage turned and readied to fight and summoned Blizaaja in his right hand and Firaja with his staff. He shot out small shards of ice with his hand up ahead and soon the shards hit the cave and some of the spiders and began freezing immediately into medium glaciers of ice. Viel then dispelled the flames from the staff in a heavy burst. Some of the ice melted and created steam giving them a bit of a smoke screen effect for the group to back up. More spiders were heard through the steam though and the hall was foggy to see through.
"Nix, use your Eagle Eyes to see better." He said knowing of her ability and that it'd be a useful advantage.

There seemed to be no end to the transparent Phantom Spiders as they continued to flood in from the darkness. Viel provided them a smokescreen to buy some time but it still didn't change the fact that there were still dozens of spiders out there. Her golden eyes seemed to look sharper, more defined, as she activated her Eagle Eye ability. Now she was able to clearly notice how the transparency was to their advantage, their weak spot was in the open. The gunslinger started firing more rapidly, hitting the hearts of her targets to down them in one shot and save ammunition. Though it seemed every bug she killed was quickly replaced. "Viel!! We need to head for the exit! I have a plan but we need to hurry before we're overrun with spiders! Just head for the exit and get outside! I'll be right behind you!" The silverette did indeed have a plan but didn't share it aloud. Nix knew that if she told Viel he wouldn't let her do it but she had no other choice. If the group stayed in the cave then they would grow exhausted before the amount of spiders run out. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Where: Tek Ruins

Lynx hurried to regroup with Viel and Tren as he heard that Nix said she had a plan. "Viel what is Nix's plan to get ride of these Phantom Spiders? " he asked as he continued to head toward down the hall to the exit. A spider then fell down from the ceiling infront of Lynx which tryed to stop him escaping " What the!? Your not gonna stop us from leaving this place!" as he thrusted his sword into the face of the infant phantom spider and tossed it to the side. "If we are going to escape I think we should do it now before we get over runned by these spiders and can't escape" As more scudling sounds were approaching getting louder and louder.

Viel tried to make a wall of ice to block some of the spiders, but a few of them ended up breaking through anyway. The mage didn't want to have to use his strongest spell due to the consequences and risk of him passing out in the middle of battle. Nix told she had a plan, but Viel knew she'd probably do something risky of her own life. The amount of spiders were too overwhelming as they made it back to a clearing where there were several tunnel passages and spiders were coming from each tunnel. There was no time to argue, but Viel didn't want his friend hurting herself after just having rescued one comrade already.
"You better not do anything stupid, Nix. If you're not right behind us like you say, I won't be able to forgive you or whatever reckless scheme you have planned." Viel said to the woman sternly and slowly backing up and ushering the Chocobo and Lynx towards the exit.
۞ Lynx seemed curious as to what Nix had planned, and honestly Viel didn't know. "I'm not sure, let's just hurry and make sure our young friend is alright once we're out." He told the knight as he walked fast towards the exist while still trying to get rid of as many of the spiders as he possibly could. You better make it out, Nix He thought to himself as he saw the opening they had squeezed through earlier up ahead.

'I should've asked what his definition of stupid is.. Then again he'll probably scold me for anything at this point.' Nix continued to kill off spiders to lower the number of them pursuing her friends. The silverette soon took off down the tunnels, still a ways away from the group, and only glanced over her shoulder to fire off a few rounds should a spider come too close. Seeing the vast amount of spiders pouring from the numerous tunnels only confirmed her fears. If nothing was done about these spiders they could pour out of the ruins and kill them still. The only area where she could make sure to eliminate them was at the exit.
Once Viel and the others made it through the small opening a small sigh of relief passed the gunslinger's lips. Nix stopped just in front of the ruin opening and turned to face the spiders, holstering one gun. She spun the other gun in her hand as a light gathered in it, lighting the small room and showing all the spiders approaching. The Eagle Eye magic vanished as her eyes turned back to normal, she needed every ounce of magic and energy she had left. "This will do the trick.. Aura Blaster!" Nix aimed her weapon at the swarm of spiders and pulled the trigger, a massive beam of multicolored light filled the ruins, illuminating it as the creatures were wiped out. Many must've remained deep within the temple but due to the power of the spell the room she was standing started to collapse. Nix was exhausted so she dove through the opening as fast as she could, the rocks falling to block the hole she just exited. Her golden eyes glanced up at Viel as a small smile came to her lips "See?.. I told you.. I'd be right behind you.."

As the boy rode off through the exit on the Chocobo, he watched pitifully as his friends debated over a plan. Viel was the main strategist and had created a steam diversion to help gain advantage and soon Nix took control. The lady was using one of her specialties just as she left the opening of the ruins on the side and had collapsed a lot of the old rubble to block the spiders inside. The boy sighed a little in relief worried that his friends would end up hurt, but now everyone was outside safe for now.
Tren slowly slid off the side of the large riding bird and tried to stand. His legs wobbled a bit at first and he supported himself on Cho till he got complete balance back. He could feel his energy had recovered at least for him to walk now and support himself slightly. "Glad that's over.." He said while stretching a bit to get his muscles used to moving again.

۞ Viel waited briefly outside the cave opening on the side of the temple and stared sternly as he heard Nix initiate her plan. The mage raised an eyebrow as he heard rumbling and shielded his eyes a bit when dust flew from the cave opening from the aura knocking out debris. Nix dove out before the exit was blocked. He heard the crunching and screeching of some of the spiders and watched in a defensive manner to make sure none got loose. When things calmed a bit and Nix gave a smug smile, Viel lowered his staff to his side merely nodded in slight approval of what the girl had done.
۞ He heard Tren speak in relief and shot him a look that a parent might give to their child when they were in trouble. "Do not think you are off the hook. For starters you disobeyed Nix's orders when she was injured earlier, then you recklessly went on your own to explore an unknown place. I know you enjoy adventuring and treasure hunting but this vacation was not meant for all of us to be worried sick whether or not you could have died." The mage said in his normal melancholy tone even though it was a scolding. He looked at Nix as well and added. "That goes for you too. I can't risk the two of you putting yourselves in harms way or not telling one of us that you're severely injured. For now on, none of us are to go off on our own.
Sir Lynx, I do apologize for bringing you into this chaos." He said with a slight bow and began heading back around to the front of the temple where the empty area was previously.

As Lynx stood at the cave opening with the cloud of dust in the air, the dust cleared and bowed back toward Viel "Its quite alright Viel " as he stood back up " I found the danger quite exciting....but I'm just glad we all made it out safely and that we found your young friend unharmed and in one piece".
Lynx walked right be hide Viel who was heading toured the front entrance of the ruins " So Viel what are you and your companies going to do now? I mean are you going to venture out to other lands or perhaps seek some treasures? If so would you mind if I tagged a longed I would love to see other lands and encounter other creatures" as he stood there be hide Viel. "If you want you,Nix and your young friend can rest at my campsite until you all are back to full strength if you want? You are all welcome there."

Tren suddenly looked down at the ground when Viel scolded him. He knew the man's way of talking with an emotionless expression enough from school. "I- I didn't know....." Tren said sadly not knowing about Nix's previous situation. "I'm really sorry, Viel. I promise I'll be more careful." The boy followed the adults quietly and slightly feeling guilty.
It wasn't till the strange man that helped Viel and Nix rescue the boy spoke, when Tren's mood lightened up. "A new person in our party? Aw yay, can he join Viel and Nix? Please! Besides he would know the area better than any of us three would." Tren pleaded happily. The boy liked making new friends and he felt he sort of owed this man for helping. "Hi. I'm Tren by the mister." He said with a warm smile, since the boy wasn't fully introduced yet.

As he stood back up " I'm Lynx and happy that you wouldn't mind me coming with you Tren." as he began smile. "We could go on all kinds of adventures and seek some treasures....don't know how much you love treasure Tren but I sure do love treasures."
"But I think I should get the ok from Nix and Viel to....before I tag along. I don't want to intrude ." as he placed one hand be hide his head and grinned.

The chocobo trotted over to his master and lowered his head enough so she could grab the reins to pull herself to her feet. Sitting on the ground where they were wasn't a wise choice since they needed to head to a safer location. As the silverette climbed into the saddle, she listened to Viel give Tren a lecture and also directed a few words to her as well. "I can agree with Tren when I'm glad that's over.. None of us go off on our own? Well I can't really disagree with that. I do apologize for my condition earlier but you know how I am.. Hm?" Lynx's request and suggestion caught her attention soon after. He wanted to accompany them and even offered to let them rest at his campsite as well.
Nix couldn't help but laugh when she saw how excited Tren was at the possibility. He always did like meeting new people and Lynx had proven he was trustworthy. If it was his aim to do them harm then he had the perfect chance back in the ruins. "Hmm.. Well Lynx does know the area and could show us the proper way out of here so that we don't get lost. Plus having another person around would be helpful indeed. What do you think, Viel? I think it would be okay to let Lynx tag along, I sense ho hostility from him in the least." The mercenary was trying her best to hide just how tired she was after her latest stunt. That particular spell did require her to use all the energy she had left so it was a miracle she still remained consciousness. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Where: Tek Ruins

۞ It seemed that everyone in the group wanted the new warrior to join them and it was true that his knowledge of the area would be most helpful. "Hmm. I suppose it couldn't hurt to have an ally in this region. Welcome aboard, friend. We must be careful not to get involved in the war though. I can't risk losing any of you." Viel said with a nod and agreed to let Lynx join them. It was clear that the group was a bit exhausted from rescuing their little friend. "Thank you sir, we would kindly accept your offer to rest." The mage said humbly and let Lynx lead back towards his camp.

Lynx turned toward Nix and smiled as she agreed to let him tag along and while he let out a loud sigh in exhaustion from getting out of the ruins. "Thank you Viel for letting me join in your group" as he turned and faced Viel to shake his hand.
"Well if your all ready to rest and get your strength back up lets head back to my campsite so you all can rest and get something to eat" as he grinned " I pretty sure your all starving from our close encounter with those spiders in the ruins." Lynx started to walk toward the path that lead to his campsite. "If your all ready lets get going...don't forget your young friend Tren too...wouldn't want him to wonder off"
