Siobhan placed all her votes based purely on who was most attractive.

Popo misunderstood the purpose entirely, assuming her vote would ultimately choose who was getting "kicked off the island".

Mot was the only one who made a real effort to choose representatives worthy of their positions.

Freya had very strong opinions on some of the categories for the student council. Whether or not her vote would make a difference was irrelevant, she just knew she hoped, very hard, her choices won. If she was going to get away with certain things, that is..

Even though he cared about the student council about as much as he had last year, which was to say, not at all, West still made a point of voting, for reasons he couldn't entirely explain. Maybe doing so made him feel like a grown up; maybe he just wanted to be able to claim it wasn't his fault when the winners he hadn't voted for made a mess of things. Whatever the reason, he was here now, so he might as well go through with it.

West grabbed a slip on his way into the voting toilet, and spent a total of forty-seven seconds inside before he emerged again. He silently shoved his votes into the box provided and strode away.

To be honest, Miasma had been watching the videos judging off physical appearance more than anything, but she supposed after a week of hearing the speeches drone on, a few ideals here or there might have sank in.

Of course, she had gotten distracted and had totally forgotten about voting until the very last day, at which she only decided to actually vote thanks to her pestering familiar. The "voting booth" was given a grimace, and she was very close to turning on her heels and walking away, until her familiar pleaded with her once more.

She hadn't been in the booth for more than 5 seconds until she came storming out, tossed the ballots into the box and muttered something about needing to sanitize herself for the next several hours.

By the time Amrita made it to the voting booth, she was sick of her own voice. At first she had been incredibly nervous about the whole thing, but now she just wanted it to be over. Every time her speech spot went on she went to great lengths to avoid listening, up to and including covering her own ears and going LA LA LA LA LA until it was over. There was nothing like hearing yourself over and over and over to recognize all your errors, all the pauses she shouldn't have made, all the tone changes that didn't belong where they were put...augh she sounded horrible. The other candidates sounded amazing, especially the boil who was her opponent for VP...no matter what happened though, it would be in the student's best interest. She was sure of it.

Her votes were cast as quickly as she could, knowing the candidates off by heart by now, and scampered off as quick as she dared, hoping to escape the sound of her own voice by staying outside of any building at any point in time.

------------

Mac really just liked voting. There was something simple about checking off names in a box that just called to him. Plus, it made him look like he cared about the school in some strange fashion. It was all about appearances, right? He cast his vote, lingered around to see if there was anyone he knew that he could bother, and eventually gave up to head to his next class.

Late.

-----------

Needle was very excited about this. She didn't vote in the last elections, and from what she understood behind the purpose of them, it was a very important thing that could not be overlooked! The Engraver studied the candidate speeches very carefully, asked around to see if anyone knew them on a more personal level, and then hit the books to determine what the roles were and what sort of creature suited them best.

Okay so maybe she went a little overboard, but she was curious! Either way, when she ghosted to the voting...booth...she felt ready. Her choices were not made lightly, and when she was done she strolled away as proud as ever.

Chryses frowned and examined the ballot. There was a grand total of one name he recognized - other than that, he would be picking at random, a frustrating exercise for the demon boil. He considered politics to be important enough that it ought to have his fullest consideration; that he couldn't give such was clearly a disservice.

But he made his choices and deposited his ballot.

================

Reiko's frustration stemmed more from a lack of female candidates than a lack of knowledge of the candidates. How was she supposed to trust a student council made up of mostly boils? There was, however, one familiar name, and that comforted her. If he was on the council...maybe it would be alright.

So she made her picks and dropped the ballot in the box.

Aymet saw more than a few familiar names on the ballot. In fact, there was hardly anyone he didn't know on it. But he had a decision to make, and an important one at that.

A few swoops of his illegible scrawl, and his slightly-torn ballot was cast.

Making use of one's.... right to vote seemed only right. Even if he had little opinion on the matter. Not due to a lack of care, but rather from a lack of character. These students, he really didn't know any of them well. Could he say they would follow through with their words? Or perhaps, for their sake, he had only speeches to go by. Regardless, it would honestly be a waste not to vote. So off the demon went to leaving a few names on his ballot and dropping it off.

Last minute. Because honestly, he didn't particularly feel he cared that much. It was the fact his father would never have approved of letting it be to chance that got Molan to venture out to vote. Yes, father's approval was ever of great importance. Tsk.

Taima believed that it was important to be well informed before making any kind of serious decision, so she had paid close attention to the speeches that had played nonstop throughout the week. Now that election day was finally here, she was confident in her choices, filling them in quickly before dropping her ballot in the box.

Serafina bit her lip. Hmm...

She admittedly wasn't sure who to vote for, really. Well, she knew who to vote for in some categories, and two of them were just so obvious with only two entrants, but the other categories had so many entrants and they all sounded so ... well... good. They would all be good for the student body, really!

She shuffled her feet as she poured over the ballot, attempting to think of what she would find the best in these elections.

After a few more moments, she ended up picking a few names and dropping them into the ballot box. Hopefully those were good choices. She sincerely hoped that the right people won the positions and took them rather happily into the next school year.

Diana thought long and hard about her choices and the people who were running. Finally she went over and filled out a ballot and nodded to herself. She had a good feeling about her choices and thought that the year should go well with them.. should they win. Well, so not in all the categories did she have to think hard about. There were two of them with only one candidate and that made her choices a lot easier. Smiling slightly she tucks her wings and folds up her ballot and walks over to the box. Her tail swaying as she walks she quickly drops the ballot in and walks out.

A last minute zombie was hardly something of a surprise. Mort had put it off again and again because he still. still did not want to be doing this. It wasn't right, it wasn't -

Deep breaths. Remember how to even if you don't need to.

He picked at his face and neck incessantly while voting, checking himself constantly even though he was quite alone (save for the gnomes). Please no, please no - yes. A sigh of relief, a wrinkle of paper, and a push of his glasses, and Mort was off to his room to brood once more about the future.

Millie was late. Again. Nearly tripping over a few gnomes as she ran, she only half-read the names. Some were familiar. Most were not.

Her vote was important so she just voted based on the speeches. Perhaps that was the best way to vote after all. Late and not having any personal connection to the candidates. Thankful that she had at least made her vote, Millie wandered back to her dorm room for a nap.

So consumed in his event-planning and newfound ships, Thackery almost forgot to vote. Thankfully, he made it in time, though his arms were still occupied by work he had to do.

'Work' was an awfully serious word to attribute to it, really. There were some doodles of a dragon and a pony, a little bit of fanfiction, magazine tear-outs of some kitsunes he was in the process or recoloring, and a few more charts scheduling out potential council plans.

He submitted his ballot and walked away with some extra effervescence in his step, beaming at anyone who caught his eye. Even the gnomes.

A lot of things were really confusing in Shine's unlife right now, but there was familiarity in voting for the student council, so it wasn't too scary.

Still, she waited until she thought that most of the crowd would be gone, hoping that she wouldn't have to talk to anyone or wait around other students. This did not, however, mean that she could still escape the gnomes. One followed her all the way, carrying a branch over his head so he would be 'hidden', sneaking peeks up her dress whenever possible.

She wondered if there was such a thing as gnome repellant as she filled out her slip and submitted it.
