Mappel seemed quite happy with the books, it made her smile a little. She had a passion for books and loved it when someone got excited reading one, no matter what the topic was. Infact she loved stories, ones of romance, fantasy and adventure. Factual books were helpful for learning things, but stories was her first love. Elvara did notice him glance at the door for a moment, she had forgotten she had even locked it. It was mainly for her personal comfort. A door wouldn't stop someone breaking in, but it helped.

Walking to the door her arm was singed lighting from the sun coming in the window of the entrance to her home. She quickly unlocked it for when he did wish to leave. Elvara didn't even make a sound from the scorching pain, just closed her eyes and took it. Her skin was only in the light for a few moments, but it still looked like she had third degree burns. She really hoped Mappel wouldn't notice, so hid the burn behind her back "You can keep those books.."

Mappel was a bit lost in the book but eventually stopped when he heard the sound of her unlocking the door. Looking up he had noticed her arm, but didn't feel like pointing it out. That must have been a pain, lucky for her the sun would be going down soon.

"Actually, I know this sounds crazy but. Do you mind if I stay with you tonight? Err...well, it's getting late already and I haven't made any reservations at any Inns' yet. " he asked shyly.

"I figure, maybe we could talk. I dunno, do you know any card games? Maybe we could play a game? Or maybe I could tell you about my life a little?" Mappel felt indebted to her. "After all, you've been so kind to me. I want to do something kind for you in return. It's up to you though..if you're uncomfortable having me stay."

He wanted to stay here? Mappel really must not of been afraid of her, then again she was afraid of accidentally killing him or something along those lines. Shaking that aside though, Elvara tried to click her brain into human mode. "If you have no where else to stay, then I'll gladly let you sleep here tonight. Although, you may have to sleep on the floor" she rubbed the back of her neck, feeling tense "I don't use any of the bedrooms, not even for myself. I sleep on the floor down here in the living room.. don't worry though, I'll get you some spare bedding and I'll light the fire for you incase you get cold. Personally I don't need the fire, I can stand the cold. That should be in the book too, vampires being immune to the cold" Elvara pointed out.

It was going to be strange, having a guest there after so long. The last person to sleep in these walls besides her was her husband. It was even more stranger being that nice to him, but afterall this is who she was as a human. Everyone in her village loved her kind and sweet nature. Always gave and asked for nothing in return, now she just felt like a shadow of that former self. "how about I cook you dinner.. while you tell me a little more about yourself, and you can ask me anything about myself also"

Mappel laughed. "No, you're fine. You've done enough. " he said smiling at her gently. "Well what is it about me that you would like to know?" he asked pondering a bit.

The elf probably would let her ask the questions now for a while. "Sit, get off of your feet, away from the sunlight, and pull up a chair! By the way, this is one facinating book." he stated holding up one of the books she gave him.

(sorry for my blah post xP)

She would've gladly made him something, it wasn't hard really. Maybe he just wasn't hungry yet, if he ever did start to get the tummy grumbles she would pounce and cook him something. Elvara didn't like people going hungry, another human trait of herself. "Very well, but if you start to get hungry tell me, because I don't eat anything" she explained before sitting opposite him on the table. The horrible burn marks slowly started to heal away from her arm. If she had more blood in her system it would've healed much quicker.

"My, my, my. Asking an elf questions." Elvara had always been very curious of his race, as a little girl she always wanted to be one! They all looked so elegant and pretty. She also loved how easily magic came to them, it was in their blood to be like it. Her on the other hand was fortunate in learning it from someone important in her life. "what is the difference between your average elf and a wood elf such as yourself? And how old are you exactly?"
PostPosted: Mon Apr 08, 2013 10:37 am

Mappel had to blush a little. Elvara looked like a curious little girl asking him all of these questions. She had pretty eyes when they sparkled like that, yet he had to laugh when she called him a wood elf.

"That's Oak Elf." he laughed a bit. "Don't worry about it, everyone makes that mistake. We are intune with nature more. Other elven kind might know how to love nature, but we are born from nature. The Legend around us states that we were born from the Goddess tree Yiggdrissel, so our connection with nature and the land itself is deeper. Like for example..."

Using his magic to summon the flower she had given him earlier. She would notice it a bit more healthier than before. Gently letting it rest upon the table, trapped with a small crystal bubble that would water the flower with pure water when it needed it, he gentle touched one of it's petals.

"I can feel it's heart beat..nature is alive. I can feel it's emotions. Like right now, this little plant is happy, though it misses your pocket a bit. I can also feel the love you put into proctecing the seed. It also's glad to see you." he blushed shyly.

"Sorry you're probably freaked out by this. My kind rarely leave our tree unlike the other Elven races so you don't see our kind much. Oh and for my age..I just turned 260 two months ago. I'm hoping to one day live past 2000, yet I'm not sure. It all depends upon the knowledge I gather and the life I live." he said leaving the flower out for her to gaze upon for a small bit.

((I always get that silly trees name mixed up xP lol xD))

"oh! I'm so sorry, there are so many different type it all gets confusing to me!" She really hoped her mistake didn't offend him in anyway, that would just be horrible. But it was easy to get his race mixed up with others and he admitted that.
So they were more connected to nature? This was very interesting. Elvara had always wanted to have a power such as that, but alas all she could do was make things grow and stop them from dying with her healing magic. It could be used on people's wounds too, but there was never really a chance to do that any more, sort of a wasted talent you could say.

In amazement she watched him magically bring back the flower she had given him earlier. The colours looked much more vibrant then she even remember, he really was taking good care of it. He could sense it's emotions too? That sounded such a beautiful thing to be able to do, being able to listen to a plant's wants and needs. The lily looked so pretty in it's tiny shell like that, but it was glad to see her? and missed her? was that even possible or was this guy pulling her leg? Either way she gave a smile "I'm glad it's very happy then.. but it's yours now. And I'm not freaked out at all, I think it's amazing you can so such a thing like that."

He was barely two-hundred and sixty? That just made her feel like an old lady. Elvara was more than twice his age! Also his birthday was two months before hers, so that was something to remember if they ever cross paths again.

"Thank you kindly." Mappel replied snapping his fingers and magicking the flower away again. Closing the book, after marking his spot, he relaxed a bit.

"So what do you do keep time? I assume you're more active at night Elvara?" Mappel asked with curiosity in his eyes. The elf couldn't imagine what it would be like to be tired in the day and awake in the night.

Heck the sun was her enemy too, she would burn up if it touched her. Looking at her arm, the elf was glad she was healing. Why he oddly cared for this woman, he hadn't a clue. Yet she was kind of pretty.

Blushing shyly the elf began to look around in his bag. She seemed to be pretty good with magic so he pulled out a scroll he had gotten off of killing a monster. It was a light spell, and he hadn't opened it yet, but he handed the pretty scroll to her. "Here. I don't know if you can use this kind of magic, but it's a gift. You've been so kind to me, giving me things and feeding me, here. I haven't a clue what spell this is, but I cannot learn this, maybe you'll have a better chance at it?" he smiled warmly.

Elvara gave a nod before tucking her raven black hair behind her ear to explain. "I am pretty active at night, not as much as I used to I must admit. I've stopped killing humanoids, I think it's wrong" she sighed before pulling out a vial of blood from her cleavage again "I get donated blood now if I can, or I have to kill an animal like a dear or something, but creatures like that don't last very long" The woman looked down to her burned up arm as it completely healed up, not a single trace that it ever happened. But if she healed like that, was all those other scars on her that were visible? The one that stood out was across the side of her neck, there were more on her but were covered up under her tight clothing. "This might sound weird but, elf blood is a delicacy. It has an earthy warm taste to it, less of a metallic feel to it." She hoped that comment didn't freak him out, though he did seem interested in her race, so explaining what his own race might taste like might of been a question rattling round in her brain.

"Once in a while I go to a gentleman's club too" she thought that might make her sound like a prostitute to him, which made her feel dirty. "Some men are regulars and donate to me, as long as I dance for them... saves me killing anyone right?" Her thin pale shoulders shrugged.

What was Mappel looking for in his bag though? Was it the other book she gave to him? It didn't seem so, it was a scroll and not just any scroll she knew instantly it was one for magic. "You... you want to give this to me?" Elvara didn't know what to say as her fingers hovered over the beautiful golden case that contained the magical instructions to a spell. "Thank you so much," this was starting to feel like a gift war, they were exchanging things like mad right now! But in a way, she wanted to give him one more thing.

Walking off into the living room once more she came back with the very old book she was clinging for dear life to in the market. "This, is my own personal spell book" Elvara explained "It was passed down five generations of women to me, and I've had it ever since I was five..." her delicate fingers opened the worn looking book. There was so much handwriting in different styles from different people. Some things were crossed out and corrected by the next generation. It was a book full of spells created and discovered from her maternal line. "If you wish, I can give you one of these... or I can cast one upon you.. sorry I should've explained but I was a white witch as a human" Elvara wasn't one of those witches from stories who rode a broom or anything. That was all make believe. "Anything you desire or dream for can be made highly likely with one of these spells.. just name it. Maybe luck, wealth, love..." She blushed at that last word and cleared her throat "Like I said, almost everything is in here. My mother had countless people come to out home to be healed or blessed... so why break tradition? You've come into my home"

Mapple didn't know what to say, though he was a bit freaked out when she said his race's blood was a bit tastey. She seemed to delighted in the scroll that she scampered off and brought back a book. This woman was so very generous, it was hard to belive she danced for mens attention.

He didn't like wishing for things personally, Mappel always felt that wishes were for those that didn't desire to get wealth, or love, or power, for themselves. He was about to turn her down politely when he looked into her beautiful eyes. They wanted to please him, to be kind to him. Catching himself staring into them he blushed.

"W-Well...I have always wanted a family of my own..l-love is kind of hard for me..I'm not sure..what needs to be done to obtain it." he said blushing a bit deeper and shyly looking away. It was the truth, the other elves in his home always seemed to get more attention.

No matter how hard he had tried Mappel was always left out. His heart raced a bit, if she wanted to cast a spell and help him, the elf would allow her. "You're an amazing person Elvara, I bet you were a wonderful witch." he said to her with gentle kindness.

He wanted a love spell? That seemed odd coming from a handsome elf such as himself. Elvara was always lead to believe elves mated for life, maybe that was just legend or something. That was what he asked for and so she would do it. "A love spell? I'm sorry, but I thought you might of been with someone. Sorry for assuming" With a screech of the chair she stood up, book in hand. "I'll do it for you, it's very simple. But we need to go outside for it.. the moon will boost it potential" While speaking she collected a few things from the cupboards in the corner of the kitchen. They seemed to be bottles and jars of things.. was that a small heart in one of them?!

"Come with me" Elvara smiled with a fang showing while holding out a spare hand that wasn't holding anything. It looked like she was going to guide him somewhere.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 09, 2013 5:58 pm

"Unfortunetly not yet. Female elves are quite peculiar when it came to choosing a mate for life. Some liked really long ears, which..mine aren't, while others liked body size or type. After all, a pretty race needs to have pretty people." he said with slight annoyance in his voice.

Taking her hand, he felt the woman lead him somewhere. "That was partly why I was made into a Hunter. I'm a bit gruff looking for an elf, so I haven't really had any luck with love." Mappel was having second thoughts when they finally reached their destination.

He was a little scared too, this woman's eyes seemed to be sparkling with darkness all of a sudden.

He was considered ugly in his race? That sounded so stupid to her! His looks were completely flawless, nothing wrong with him. Were these women blind or something? Shrugging the questions from her mind over his appearance, Elvara started to lead him out of the house and round to the back of it.

The garden look a little over grown, she hadn't cared for her plants in such a long time. There was no passion in it anymore. Also there was a strange little teddy bear made of stone a few meters away, what a strange thing to have in a garden.
Kneeling down, the vampire sorted all of her jars and opened to the correct page of the spell book. Pulling out the contents of one was the heart, too small to be that of a human it was only the size of a thimble. With a tiny green glow of her hand, it started to flutter with beats like it was alive again.

While doing all this she looked up to Mappel with her red n green eyes. "Is something wrong?" She asked curiously "I won't do this if you don't want me to"
PostPosted: Tue Apr 09, 2013 7:11 pm

"I'm a little scared..to be honest." he replied shyly. "Yet, you can continue because this is something you wish to do. Heh, we keep giving things to each other. I just wanted to thank you is all, you've been a wonderful hostess. This..spell won't hurt will it? I've..never had one like this put on me before."

He motioned for her to go on. Even thought Mappel was frightened he had trusted her. Elvara would probably note this since elves did not trust someone easily.

"There is nothing to be scared of" she gave a warm smile, which was hard to make look kind with the fangs she had. "I won't hurt at all, this is just a blessing to encourage the thing you asked for, love. It can work in many ways.. making you fall for someone, making someone fall for you. It will sort of push you in the right direction."

Elvara stood back up once she had mixed a few things together, with the small heart still beating in the palm of her hand. "I want you to write your full name on this paper... if you want to love someone of have them love you put their name on the back. If there is no one you wish to bless too, then put a question mark" she told him, handing over a blank piece of paper. But there was no ink? What would he use? Elvara also handed him a small sewing needle to p***k his finger "write it in your own blood, it's to bind the blessing to you.. Don't worry.. I'll look away if your scared of me going all crazy on you.."
