Sammy's eyes flared up, it wasn't the only thing, both her arms ignited with the cold purple flames as she walked into the room with Siddie behind her. For a moment she stood still contimplating the creatures hopping around the room chewing on different things.
"I like that closet."
She leaned forward ever so slightly before bursting into motion rushing across the room cutting a path through a series of the small shadow creatures. A few lost under storming boots, others struck down by purple flaming fists.
The last one she held up in her hand squirming as she squeezed it into a puff of shadowy dust as a swarm moved to attack her, she grinned as they moved towards her.
"Lets wreck these little home wreckers."
Bursting into motion again she crashed through a wall of the clamoring shadows as they clawed at her figure. It was pure chaos and when Sammy came out the other side a whole host of shadowy figures where gone, but her body was riddled with scratches.
"I think they might have gotten me..."

"I appreciate your defense of my things," Siddie said dryly, and hurried over to Sammy, touching the zombie's forehead with her fingertips. "But please try not to get eaten, okay?" A gentle, cool sensation accompanied her touch, and a healing FEAR flowed into Sammy.
Siddie looked startled. "What was that?"

"Well in my uh defense I found... that coat I liked and...." She paused as Siddie moved over pressing a finger to her forehead and Sammy seemed to perk up a bit eyes going wide as she felt a cool rush of FEAR replace that which she had lost.
"I... have no idea.. I mean. When I was fighting, something seemed different too but I mean, I normally beat the crap out of stuff so it's not too different for me... but what was that seriously?"
Her eyes flared up as she reached out tugging Siddie to the side before slamming her fist right into the mouth of another shadow that decided Siddie's hair would make a good snack.
"Jack Dammit where did they all come from!?"

For a moment the shadows pulled back from Sammy and Siddie, it might be because Sammy had just slaughtered a bunch of them or they felt bad attacking Siddie.
Spoiler: They didn't feel bad at all about attacking Siddie.
"Whatever it is it worked... but we should save it for some of the others too..." She looked around to other students in the room weary that they might be just as bad off as she was right now.

"It's not draining me, I don't think," Siddie said thoughtfully. "Not like the way the needles do. I can do it more than once. I think." She flexed her fingers and poked Sammy's forehead again experimentally; the soothing cool of a heal flowed into Sammy again. "Yeah," Siddie confirmed.

Sammy shrugged a bit, "Where do you think it came from?" She shivered as the cool touch filled her again. It was actually kind of nice the way it felt. Though she had little time to enjoy it.
Turning around she saw another shadow looking up.
"Crap!" Without thinking she put herself between the shadow and Siddie lashing out with quick kick blasting one shadow apart and making room for three more. A few more punches and kicks and all Siddie had done was undone in the name of a few fistfuls of dead shadows.

"I had a dream, right before I woke up and found these things in my room ... " Siddie said slowly. Then she made a little dissatisfied sound as Sammy flung herself headlong at the shadowlings again. She caught up with her and prodded her ghoulfriend's shoulder this time. "Don't let them chew you up completely," she scolded. "I can't control how much this is helping, and it doesn't feel like much!"
She wasn't going to tell Sammy that contrary to her earlier statement, the healing was draining her - she could do it repeatedly, but now she was starting to sense that it was slowly sapping her Fear shield. Instead she glared at the shadowlings, her lips twisting into a pout. "Go away, why don't you! I'm ashamed to see shadows behaving so badly!"

Lattice gave Petro a quiet nod and then essentially took a backseat and let him do the fighting but soon others also joined the fray. She heard Lizzy's voice and name and her face lit up (as much as an Engraver's face can light up), "Lizzy!? I haven't seen Lizzy in ages," her voice practically sounded full of joy.
Monotone joy.
The ghoul heard other names and voices as well but Lizzy seemed to be the main part of her focus just then. She summoned up her FEAR and tried to fling needle-doom at the Shadows but missed every single one.

So that did mean she could hide under a desk? Andrew hadn't exactly said it, but she would take any implication she could get. Even though, there really didn't seem to be a good place to hide (of course) even though staying near the fireball throwing boil was really appealing because well, he was throwing fireballs and fending off creatures. And looking around the room some more, well. Yeah, Maple stayed put even with his suggestion. (Was she covered in sweat? Most likely. But she would have found a hug really awkward anyways).
Surveying the room also prompted her to spot someone else. Two sorts of recollections crossed her as she took a moment to stare at the hellhound across the room. One of recent events at booths and another, well enough from passed on memories from another life. No. Could it? Wait. Maple knit her brows together, so unsure.
Maybe not the best time to think about this. Aaah, what to do. Maple backed up, her slippers squeaking a little against the floor. Her hands pressed forward, calling upon her broom to good measure. As it became tangible in her hands the gold card from her dream crossed her mind, like whispering her a spell in her ear. "Aa..." The witch pointed her broom at Andrew, unsure of really what she was doing.
Something did happen though, different than what she was used to doing with her magic. Something good, her FEAR going to mending instead of breaking. "Huh...."

After sewing up her bag for the moment, Steffani straightened up, moving to the edge of the group and swinging wide to smack a few of the ill-mannered shadowlings into obedience.
Or at least get some distance between them and the students. Neverending masses, yeesh.

it was fairly common to be called a bad dog, it was second nature, another name for the hellhound monster. "Tell me something I haven't heard before then, Diana.' he inquired, flashing a grin as she went for a more effective method. That was something else, the power of a demon was a interesting concept. He could let out an appreciative whistle from the strike, and a round of applause at that. "Nice to see you finally getting into it."
