"I-it's fine, I just..." How was she supposed to, well, react to a semi-casual meeting like that? She'd never been very good at being polite... A drop of water fell on her nose, making the mare blinked and look for the source. As she did, the droplets increased. "I think the storm caught us."

He chuckled as the drops fell on her nose. "You aren't...scared are you?" Ely said as he backed up into the rain, challenging her.

Soyala's face went from pink to red. "O-Of course not!" She wasn't scared: she was terrified. Just leaving the herd had been pushing her luck. This? This was insane! A princess standing out in a storm where a thousand types of accidents could happen. Even so, she hated being one-upped; she marched out into the storm after him.

With a shake of his head and a soft chuckle, Ely knew this mare had quite the spirit. She was definitely unique, and he liked that about her. Soyala was so different from anyone he had ever met. "I"m glad you're not afraid of the rain." A small smirk on his face as he backed up further away.

Soyala huffed, her face still red as she pouted at him. Even so, her hooves carried her after him. "Of course not," she grumbled. "It's just water falling from the sky. Who'd be afraid of that?" It was the lightning she was worried about.

"You said you were glad that I'm not afraid of the rain," Soyala replied flatly as she reached his side, sticking to him like glue. "You didn't say anything about the t-thunder." She stuttered. Oh, he was going to know. How embarrassing!

Elyan laughed. "Of course there will be thunder. It's a rain storm, there might even be lightning." He warned as he steered them back towards the trees.

"Then it wouldn't be a rain storm," Soyala argued. "It would be a thunderstorm." At the warning of lightning, the mare moved closer to Elyan's side as he steered them back towards the trees. Terrifying. Storms were terrifying. But the rain wasn't bad. It did make her bangs flop into her face, though.

Rolling his eyes, Ely steered them safely under the trees. "Regardless of wordplay, it'll be fine." He said comfortingly as he nuzzled her.

Soyala huffed. "Of course it will be," she mumbled grumpily. Even so, her mood lightened considerably when she was nuzzled. She hesitated before nuzzling him back. Of course it would be fine; she was with Elyan. She didn't know why that made everything fine, but apparently that logic was enough for her.

Elyan took them deeper into the trees so that there was only a drizzle through the trees. "Is there anywhere you would like me to take you?" He asked. She didn't seem too happy to be out here and he just wanted to make her happy.

Soyala blinked, blushing a bit as she responded. "You can take me anywhere," she informed him, her curt tone not matching her happy expression. "As long as you are the one taking me there."
