Reno plucked himself off the floor after his haphazard impact with the solidified chi, sighing under his breath already knowing things would be going bad. Looking to the group of thugs with a scrutinizing eye, Reno reached into his pack and drew out another two Pokeballs, tossing them skyward. Two bright lights would surround Reno as he drew his nightstick and extended it to bo staff length, revealing Linkara the Marowak and Tsuki the Sneasal to now be flanking Reno, with Tsuki brandishing an extension on her one set of claws. The trio would pose with their respective weapons in an open attack stance, an intimidating sight to any of the less willful thugs. "Come take me on if you think you're hard enough, ya punks. I'll return anythin' you throw at me a thousand fold and make sure it impacts." Reno roared out, a small amount of his bloodlust translating into a similar roar shared by his Pokemon to add to the fear factor.

Soon after Cera touched the wall, Alex was tempted to test the waters herself. Just before she did, the sudden appearance of the thugs and familiar leading thug caused her to stop. Last time she was no help in fighting this guy and had frozen up in fear last time. But not this time! Even a small assist could help...right? Her Porygon finally reappeared, having finished roaming about the room upstairs. Just in time to help her battle, as Lillipup was out and Magnemite was recently caught. "We're gonna fight this time! Get ready" she told the digital pokemon. It seemed ready to battle though it was hard to tell sometimes with it's usual dull expression.

For once Arthur's fear ended up saving him from embarrassment. As everyone went down the staircase, they'd find themselves smacking into a hard wall. Even the Mew as powerful as she was ended up bouncing off it. That was enough to keep Arthur away from the stairs. Backing away, he found himself bumping into something that wasn't a wall. Slowly glancing back, he saw the thugs and nearly had a heart attack. Jumping in surprise, he ran to hide behind the closest person, which was Eliel. Lava did the same, which wasn't exactly a good look for Arthur's team as a whole.
"W-why are you guys here?" he stammered. Though everyone else was preparing for a fight, he was too scared at the moment to give orders. Plus even if he did his Pokemon would probably be too scarred to follow.

"Wait a second..." Another of the thugs spoke up. The one from Pyrite, in fact, recognizing a couple from the group. "You screwed us up back in Pyrite! Let me take care of this, show them where their place really is." Obviously, he wasn't inclined to answer why he or anyone else was here.
A Dunsparce would soon come out of its ball, and with it, a slight static from the group's SNAGs. No help from GRAY now. Furthermore, the Dunsparce had a notable difference from the usual fare, sporting a downright massive drill tail for its size. Alongside a heaping bundle of unusual chi, enough to make Cera keep in the stairway and Amaranth provide further numbers by sending out her Flareon and Yanma.
"Now, if you all and your little Pokemon want to fight, they'll get one. Drill Run!"
Instead of seemingly doing that, though, Dunsparce shot through the floor. It wouldn't be long before it shot back up, flying fast at Reno's Marowak like a spiraling spear of death.

As the Dunsparce emerged, Alex's HUD shut down so she pushed the goggles back onto her forehead. The first thing she noticed about it was that drill like tail that was far from the norm. "Look at that tail. It's huge!" she commented just as it disappeared underground. She glanced around, waiting for it to reappear and signaled for her Porygon to get ready. Once it popped back up, she pointed at it and called out a command. "Signal Beam!" The colorful beam fired toward the yellow menace, attempting to knock it off path from hitting Marowak.

Lykas released his own Pokemon when Dunsparce appeared. "Look at that." He noted, seemingly unimpressed. To be honest, he was terrified of the chi he felt boiling out of the creature but he refused to let it show in front of these thugs. Moreso, he didn't want the newer guys feeling like they were doomed. So no fear from the more experienced members. At least, that was how he felt. Anyone looking would see him visible tremble as he looked to his Pokemon, his Dewott.
"Chinami, Razor Shell!" The Dewott nodded and pulled her scalchops from her fur obi, snapping open the chi fans that made up her attack and and hurled them at Dunsparce as hard as she could manage. They should at least help throw it off course it nothing else. She made sure she wouldn't hit it's drill, however. that thing could easily disarm her for quite some time if her scalchops were destroyed....
In the meantime, Lykas clenched his fists, held his breath for a moment and fired off a Water Spout from his forehead jewel. It wasn't at full power but it should still be enough to help the effort.

Reno watched the Dunsparce disappear, already smirking as he knew what was likely to happen next. "Track and attempt to avoid his attack. Best to simply watch at this point, Linkara." Reno muttered to his nearby ally, already preparing to have to evade the drill himself. Linkara would close his eyes, listening to the vibrations of the earth that were almost screaming at him in comparison to the taps Reno had trained him to listen for. Diving to the left with ease, Linkara would be surprised when the sheer size of the drill caught his legs as they trailed behind, sending him flying around from the sudden increase in motion. Int his case, he went flying towards Reno, who managed to catch the hard headed Pokemon with a soft grunt along with a loud crack that resonated through the room like a gunshot.
Wincing in sympathy for her trainer, Tsuki decided to take matters into her own hands, watching the flurry of attacks heading towards the Dunsparce. Disappearing from her position without a sound, Tsuki appeared directly across from where she had been, the trail of her shining claws leading to where she had attempted to slash the Dunsparce with a Quick Attack.

Arthur jumped when one thug recognized them. Moments later he had a Dunsparce out with a oversize tail drill. He always thought the only unique Pokemon were those who were shiny. "Then again, there are people Pokemon so this shouldn't surprise me." Seeing the Dunsparce go under ground, Arthur left Eliel to see the Pokemon pop out near Reno. The others tried to help, but Reno's Marowak ended up getting hit by the Dunsparce's tail.
"Are you o.k.?" Arthur asked having heard the cracking noise. As he said this, he noticed Tsuki attacking Dunsparce. It gave him idea for an attack. However, now wasn't time for attacking. He'd wait until the time was right because he probably would have one chance. In the meantime...
"Lava Smoke Screen," he called out. "Squirrel, Foresight." Flinching at the sudden orders, they nervously obeyed. Lava let out the smokescreen after the quick attack so he wouldn't hinder Tsuki. Squirrel was using Foresight to keep track of Dunsparce. Though it was supposed to be used for finding ghost types, Arthur had found another effective use for it.

Eliel tilted his head, looking at everyone rushing the dunsparce. "This seems a bit unfair to the little guy don't you think?" He glanced over at the men, wondering when they were going to send out a pokemon with any real natural power.

The attacks would manage to hit their mark, but Dunsparce's constant spinning served as a means to deflect them. It quickly shot through the floor again, and before long, the Pokemon turned drill would fly straight for Squirrel.
Amaranth's Flareon tried to stop it with a Flamethrower, but like the attacks before it, Dunsparce was having little issue drilling through the flames.
"Um, guys... we might be in over our heads here..." Cera spoke up, her voice ringing in the group's heads from her telepathy attempt. She didn't dare speak up otherwise, so as to keep herself from being spotted.

Eliel smiles, glancing down at Pidove and raising his black card. Pidove lifted up in the air, following Dunsparce around careful to stay far enough to avoid getting suprised. He began to use Growl, slowly chipping away at Dunsparces attack power.

Reno would glare towards the Dunsparce and then it's trainer, attempting to figure out a possible way to defeat the Dunsparce. Looking to nearby area and looking to the hardened chi with a smile, Reno decided to make a plan of action. Giving Linkara a nudge towards the trainer of that scary Dunsprarce, the Marowak threw a Bonemeang towards him while Reno himself began to pick up and throw rocks towards the Dunsparce, attempting to anger the thing and lure it towards him. If it attempted to drill towards him, he would dive out of the way and hopefully send that massive drill to bear against the strange chi.

Lykas looked at Eliel as the boy asked if they were being unfair. "Kid, this thing could kill us all without even breaking a sweat and you're concerned with being fair to it?" He asked, not believing what he was hearing. "We don't have time to concern ourselves with 'fair' right now."
With that, as Chinami caught her scalchops, he issued a new command. Releasing his Milotic, Nuregami, the two worked in tandem. "Chinami, Water Pulse! Nuregami, Ice Beam!" Rather than both attacking Dunsparce, The Dewott sent a surge of water flying towards Dunsparce while Nuregami froze it solid.
"We should probably get out of here while we can!" Lykas called as he recalled his Pokemon, attacks already released. If Dunsparce carved through that, it should release enough ice into the air to mask an escape.

Unfortunately Dunsparce cut right through the smokescreen to slam right into Squirrel with its drill tail. From the way Squirrel was reeling from the attack, Arthur knew another hit like that would probably be all she wrote. Running over to the Sentret, Arthur helped him up before hearing Lykas call for a retreat. "Just how did these guy get so strong?" Arthur asked. He remembered how he'd had trouble facing the bikers before, but now he was facing only one & he was in a completely different league from him.
"Looks like even the combo move won't work," he thought. They had to think of something or they were all done for. Even though Lykas had the cover move, they still had the problem of where to run too. The stairs had a wall blocking their way and the bikers were blocking the exit. How could they possibly get out now?

Dunsparce would indeed carve not only through the ice, but the Bonemerang as well. The Growl seemed to do little to mitigate the assault, and it looked like the group wouldn't be the only one thinking to take advantage of cover. Some of the thugs made it a point to escape then, if only to get to another part of the lab. A couple of others released a pair of Voltorb, both of which were giving off even more chi than the Dunsparce was.
If anyone happened to be able to see through the mist, those two Voltorb also looked like they'd be glowing slightly.
Needless to say, it was more than enough to trip Cera's senses and decide to make a hastier retreat. "I dun think we're safe here anymore! We'll have to explore later..." At this point, she was thankful to be able to keep in touch with the HQ, and quickly to boot.
It wasn't long before Sol's Xatu teleported in, Cera finding it quicker in such a pinch. The thug that let Dunsparce out, though, noticed the errant Pokemon as the mist began to clear.
"No escape for you... clip the bird's wings!"
Dunsparce would soon fly at Xatu in an attempt to drill a hole into her, but she was able to teleport herself and the group out of the lab moments before it'd have hit. Or worse, whatever those Voltorb could've done.
Muttering something about lucky dodges and ensuring that there wouldn't be a second case of it, the remaining thugs recalled their Pokemon and returned about their business. The group was gone in any case.
