This was... A bad sign.
He was either potentially pulling her leg or she had literally knocked him silly. "UH." She watched his hand nervously before looking around, trying to find the fastest and easiest exit. "That's great but we really have to go." She turned to start a good power walk, figuring it would be best if she led him out for now. Riyo's hand tightly clenched around his, attempting to lead him towards the exit before anything else went wrong.

Thankfully Akubi didn't feel the need to suddenly start grooming her hair right now and was easily dragged along and out of the store.
The boil was just kind of staring skyward at the moment as if trying to gather his sense of self again.
"....Where we going, hmm...?"

"Out." Was the first thing that came to her mind, because out was where she wanted to be. "We're going out." It took a moment to realize what she'd just said, considering that her mind was on other things, but when she did the ghoul had to resist the urge to stop in her tracks.
"I mean! I don't mean... That we're dating! I mean we need to get out of this place!" She shouted, obviously flustered. Oh good, there were the automatic doors. She'd heard a couple people shouting for them to stop, but it seemed like they'd be able to make it out before anyone could properly stop them.

"...We're dating?" Akubi only latched onto a handful of words and that was the wrong set for him to really pay attention to or at least hear.
Riyo was apparently digging a hole without even realizing it.
A dangerous hole.
Akubi's brow furrowed a little as he followed along like a little ragdoll. "I don't remember..."

"NO!" The feline screeched as the class doors opened, practically flinging them both out into the street and ducking into an alley. Hopefully nobody who mattered had been close enough to see.
This would give her a chance to assess the damage. "We're NOT dating." Riyo tried to enunciate as best as she could, releasing his hand to check his head for major damage. "Stand still." Her fingers combed through his hair to check for any signs of broken skin or blood, all the while trying not to think about just how embarrassing today was turning out.

"Oh. Okay." His ears sort of half drooped though that might be because his head hurt and not because of disappointment but it was hard to tell in this state how he felt about anything.
Other than he was hungry.
"YEEK!" Akubi suddenly was in the alley with the ghoul and was being told to stand still and he did. She felt no blood but there was a nasty welt forming where he'd hit the table when he fell back. At least he seemed in one piece otherwise.

What? Was he disappointed? Surely not. That would've been a new one in Riyo's book, though.
"SHH." His yells giving them away would've been the cherry on top of the s**t cake.. But luckily it felt like no serious damage had been done. "You should be fine. Doesn't feel like anything's broken." Not like she was a medical doctor or anything, but experience in head wounds was something she had.
"What DO you remember?"

He was shaking it off slowly but surely as he just sort of stared at her, "Buying a suit. Going into store..."
Then he shrugged. "Being on the ground...?"
It seemed his rattled brain decided to do an etch-a-sketch on the whole pushing ordeal, probably also erased whatever happened to cause him to be pushed as well.
"Did we get the sugar... .. ..?"
Oh and that.

Riyo simply stared as Akubi began to recall the steps that lead them towards this disaster, though it seemed he had skipped one important detail.
The ghoul sighed, took a step back, and scratched her head. "No, we didn't get the sugar." She could've lied, but it seemed like that would be more exasperating than telling the truth anymore. "We don't need the sugar, so... Lets just go home."

Akubi sort of nodded a bit as he started to walk forward a bit cautiously at first before gaining confidence in his own ability to keep himself upright.
He was so clumsy some days. Oh well.
It seemed as if Akubi was at least going to drop the event all together now. Apparently injury does him wonders.

Riyo was relieved that the evening seemed to be quieting down now. After the hustle in the grocery store stopped, she started the walk back to Amity with hands in her pockets and an occasional yawn.
Did she feel guilty? Of course she did. What if he remembered what happened later on and realized she hadn't said a word about it? What if there was no chance and she blurted it out anyways? Seemed like she couldn't win either way.
At the very least, she'd avoided the dreaded hug. "You should probably lay down when we get back."

Akubi nodded a little, "A nap does sound nice, yes." It seemed so odd to have him be so disconnected and obedient.
At least not sassing her with each breath he took and each movement he made. Hopefully some sleep would fix him right again, "Thank you for helping me up."
It wouldn't take long for his feet to walk the familiar territories of the campus where he now made his home. He was actually starting to slow down quite a bit, in fact he took cat form and was sluggishly trailing after Riyo at around this point.

"Yeah, whatever." What she usually said when someone thanked her, though this time she realized no thanks was deserved.
Riyo could hear his steps slow down significantly, glancing back to see that she'd made quite a gain on him with no pace increase on her own part. He really must've been tired...
Groaning, she turned around and closed the gap between them, plucking Akubi off his fat little feet. "You need a diet." She whispered and took the bag from his mouth.
The feline pushed through the entrance of the demon dorms with fatcat tucked under her arm, marching up the stairs and towards the boil's room.

Akubi just sort of hung there his head drooped a bit and sort of pawing at the dangling noose between his paws, "Do not," big yawn, "I am perfectly fine."
He actually sounded reproachful.
What happened to Akubi? Some other fat cat took his place?

"Did I hit a sore spot?" Normally Riyo would gladly rub salt into sensitive wounds like that, but today seemed like it might be a bad idea.
Juggling with the bag, she finally managed to turn the knob and open his door, marching over to carefully sit the boil on his cat bed.
