"Exactly, the one time I wore them I didn't like them at all and immediately took them off, even if I liked that they made me a few inches taller. That was sort of neat." he gave a soft laugh at that, fingers brushing his hair back lightly.
At her asking him to tell more, he explained a bit about the shows he put on at the club, which did in turn explain about why he had Urban who followed him around and all. The face she made though...it brought a quiet laugh.
"I know...the club has gone down hill...I live in one of the rooms above the club. The guy who found me when I was a kid and took me in owns the place. But...I really want out of there. Urban is helping me work on making that happen." it was just not happening quickly enough.
Tulip's hand resting on his cheek was a surprise...but being called honey bear, it made him blush some but he also felt sort of warm and fuzzy and he simply hugged her. "You're so sweet Tulip." well she was! "And I'll do my best to do that, really."

"I know you'll get out of there and find a far better place, hon." She spoke with utter confidence. "You just need to get your voice out there somehow."
"Pshaw!" Tulip waved her hand at the compliment when they released each other from the hug. She gave Jayme another smile, or, rather, that same one never really went away. "You've just caught me on a good day. I'm really very spicy." She chuckled at her own ridiculous joke and stuck out her tongue.
She sighed after and interval and looked towards the dressing rooms. "Cotton, sweetie, you okay in there?"
"Oh..." came a squeak from the Flaffbat, "Yes... just, um... trying to get everything on right." Some struggling could be heard. "Oh, Tulip, could I trouble you for some help?"
Tulip shook her head, "Sure thing, sweetie!" She rose and knocked on the door. A click as Cotton unlocked the door and Tulip poked her head in, some vines snaking their way through to help the poor fluffy girl. Various "no, no, like this" and "there ya go"s could be heard until finally, "Alright, got it? Okay." Tulip removed herself from the room, closing the door, and sat back down. "Almost done," she whispered.
At that, Cotton stepped out of the dressing room, wearing the very skin-revealing outfit Tulip and Jayme helped pick out. Skin-tight, low-riding, shorty shorts, over the ripped purple leggings and a sleeveless top that looked like it was barely hanging on, all accentuated by two arm warmers of differing colors. She looked comfortable in it, oddly enough, but knowing her personality, she still looked a bit out of place in it. Granted, her normal clothes were always so bright and this was a metal concert, she would be out of place in her normal clothes. "Oh, um... well?" Cotton finally chimed.
Tulip looked to Jayme first, waiting for his reaction.

Jayme gave Tulip a warm smile, and nodded. "I sure hope so. Would be nice anyhow. I'm hopeful it's sometime soon." very hopeful. Of course he was looking at the paper as often as he could, and the few times he'd gone into a club to look into it, he either didn't like the feeling he got from the place/people, or they weren't looking for anyone new. So far it was all a bust.
He looked a little mystified though when Tulip said she was spicy because he'd never heard it phrased that way. "You're hot?" why yes, it was probably painfully obvious the teen was...naive. Really, really naive. Urban heard the words and couldn't help a grin and a mental 'Why yes...yes she is'
Jayme waited patiently while Tulip got up to help Cotton get the clothes sorted out and he couldn't help a soft laugh. "Wow, that's a really helpful way of helping someone out." or so it seemed to him anyhow watching the vines in action.
"That's okay I don't mind waiting really." he was curious to see how the clothes would look in the end once all worn together so it was no wonder he sat up a little straighter as Cotton stepped out and he looked her over in surprise. "Oh...wow..." the words were breathed in awe. "You look...wow...I think your boyfriend'll really like that outfit!"
He was speechless really, how it'd all looked...well sort of terrible on the rack but on her, looked so amazing. He wished he could look amazing like that.

"Oh, you really think so?" Cotton nearly bounced, her head wings flapping happily. Her tail swung back and forth eagerly. All her movements were causing things to slip a little out of place.
Tulip gave Jayme a "thank you" nod before she voiced her opinion. "It looks great on you, sweetie. But..." Vines whipped out to stop the excited jerks of the Flaffbat. "...we may need to get you some body tape before tonight." She laughed a little.
"She is going to be late if we do not leave soon." Tillie had appeared behind Jayme, causing the other girls to jump.
"Tillie, please! How many times have I told you NOT to do that?" Tulip nearly growled. The Kecleon had the natural ability to blend into her surrounding, whether she wanted to or not, much to the Venusaur's dismay.
Tillie just rolled her eyes as Tulip ushered Cotton back into the dressing room to help her get back into her normal clothes. Half the time Tulip said anything to her, Tillie rolled her eyes. They had a very mother, teenage daughter sort of relationship. As the other two girls busied themselves, Tillie stared at Jayme with unblinking, black eyes. She was used to seeing feminine males, what with working in the modeling scene, but he was something different.

Jayme gave Tulip a 'No problem' smile, and watched as Cotton bounced around...and almost out of her clothes, his eyes widening in concern.
Though this body tape stuff...while he didn't know what it was...also sort of explained it's self. He knew tape was sticky...he had a feeling it would hold her in place.
"I don't want her to be late. It was really nice meeting you and shopping with you!" well it was!
He saw Tillie staring at him and squirmed a little, he didn't know what he thought of her, but he got the feeling she didn't much approve of him.
Urban materialized about that point, and snagged Jayme's bags. "C'mon kid we need to get going too. Say your goodbyes and lets hit the road." though here he grinned and walked to the door and there went a business card being held over the top for Tulip.
"Hey babe, give me a call some time we'll do dinner."
