The television blared loudly, as it had for the past few hours. Timont could scarcely believe his eyes. In a span of less then thirty six hours, the Lucidus Magus government had fallen to a terrorist organization, who proceeded to bomb the capital of Aes. Though Aes was still standing, their government and military leaders were all reported as either KIA or MIA. According to the pundits, Aes would soon sign a treaty surrendering unconditionally to Lucidus Magus. That of course went out the window when it was reported that two ranking Aesian military leaders had indeed survived the attack and were rallying the troops for an offensive.

Timont turned to Aiden for the first time in hours. "Surreal isn't it?" He paused and thought for a moment. "And this all goes back to Vossler Stone. Tell me, what happened? You said you were there. So what happened?" The question was voiced lightly, as if speaking loudly would disturb the balance of the room.

Long registered in the space behind her was the long and blue couch Aiden dropped down into. One leg found it's way into resting on a knee and the rest of her body reclined low and deep into the seating. Her arms went to either side before laying infront of Aiden's face when the rest of the body leaned to it's left and pressed on the length of the couch.

Her head was light, feathering, flowing up and away from the body. She was there, but now very much so unable to be apart of all that was around her, yet there was no pretending she'd been cursed with a mysterious high as it was the misery aspect of her long week obviously lingering in the front of her face.

Indeed, Aiden was in no ease as she was just recalling how days ago Aes had been in a way a friend and now, now longer lead by Vossler distancing into a realm of war - Aiden was sure. The night had lost it's bounce.

There was a pause before and answer to Timont's question would be able to find its way in the channeling of Aiden's thoughts. Her secret had had three days of life to it.

"To Vossler? I mean he was shot... and I guess the guy who shot him probably wouldn't have done or indirectly ******** up my plans it if he wasn't so ******** up on whatever." Again, there was reluctance to reveal names. Who else to put faith on and spare one more day for because there was absolutely no one else but Chance Godrey? "Ater Nox, Lucidus Magus, and Aes. Ater Nox, Lucidus, and... you know what, let me have another shot."

With both hands pushing against the couch, Aiden was up to her feet and moving in Timont's reaction. A hand reached and slid a shot glass back to its former position infront of a seated at the table Aiden. "Pour?"

There was little to reflect after her last shot of deadly whiskey that night. Rather than entertain with her drunk, Aiden simply been cast with a sleepy spell and after then, had distanced herself away from conversation between herself and Timont to be conjured up.

She'd woken elongated once again on the couch with a cushion flat on top of her face. Hands rose and arms wrapped and hugged around the small pillow. Slow, but eventually lazy eyes inspected the apartment in sunlight, which had made all seen foreign again. She stretched starting with her arms and was then up and without more thought than to check if Timont was still awake and around, started the process of dismissing herself from the apartment.

Unlike his drinking partner of the previous night, Timont had stayed up. Two more bottles of whiskey were on the table empty, his head pounding as he whispered into the phone next to his ear. "That's right. Buy now. We can drive up price with scarcity. When Aes gets desperate we can make a killing. Not literally of course. That's the soldiers job. Seeing Aiden up, he quickly said goodbye, before turning to his guest. "Coffee and Breakfast, or are you going to have a walk of shame going wherever you're going?" Timont smirked, taking another shot of whiskey.

She was far down the hallway when the words 'coffee and breakfast' were exchanged in her direction. Although the idea of food couldn't be stomached with the ache in her stomach that had pronounced itself once Aiden was up and about, coffee, medicine for the tired like Aiden, could do to help if not hurt what would be a lengthy walk ahead of her.

Steps were retracted and she peeked from around the corner towards Timont. "Walk of shame? Now what have I done to deserve that?" She came around, her boots marking each step on the hard floors in the man's way. "You mean passing out? We both knew that was due when you first saw me."Eyes discovered the two empty glass bottles and then the man that had killed them and was onward with his next victim of a shot. And she was supposed to have a drinking contest with this guy? Ridiculous. "And yes, I could totally do with a coffee."

She took the chair next to Timont. Legs crossed and an elbow came to rest on the table. "What's on your agenda today? That meeting right?"
PostPosted: Tue Jul 23, 2013 8:17 pm

Timont nodded. "The meeting, then I'm taking a flight to Aes, meet some suppliers. Apparently we're supposed to make a move to squash all competition in the area. Nothing major, however prices have tripled overnight. We're selling at two thirds that, and still will make an increased profit. Add in the fact we have the contracts to rebuild the Aesian warships, all that's left is getting a contract to rebuild the damage done in the attacks. But that ain't my job." Timont rose and walked over to the cabinet, finishing off another glass of whiskey. "You mind waiting ten minutes for the coffee to come up? Or do you want some instant instead? And food will be eggs and bagel, as soon as I call downstairs, that is if you don't mind the smell of me eating." Timont pulled another bottle of Whiskey out of the cabinet along with a bag of instant coffee.

He paused for a second before grabbing a third bottle out of the cabinet. "Present from my father. Bottle of wine if you want it. I personally detest wine; so either you take it or its going to waste to one of my cousins. Or brothers. Though I'm sure my grandfather would appreciate the taste." He flashed a charming smile towards Aiden. "And while we wait you can tell me your wonderful plans for the day." Timont was back in top form, the whiskey and adrenaline fuelled mind whirling at maximum speed.

Cracking bones, sneaking about, selling drugs for short buck, and working one collector's commission at a time was the way Aiden carried about her business and wealthy she was in moments, but listening to the more successful and seemingly forever rich of the two weapons dealers in the apartment couldn't help discourage the lonely entrepreneur. She'd had a long week and no doubt there was ease for anyone to bring Aiden down.

And then a wonderful spark went off in her head- Aes where her beautiful trunk of the most spectacular of items that was being kept far in the citadel as Vossler had forgotten to bring it to Lucidus. And with that hope lifting her up from her seemingly eternal gloom, Aiden's spine straitened, her legs crossed in Timont's direction, and her fingers met and pressed against the table, demonstrating that indeed, there were full intentions onboard her focus.

"Oh, I'm sure ten minutes will mean nothing in my busy schedule." She said in a complaining tone. There was a pause as there was quick thinking of where to even pick up next and then like a rocket, she started again. "Is 'grandpa' in Aes right now? I wouldn't mind helping you drop off this fine bottle of wine over to him." Eagerness was wide in her redder than ever eyes. "Like I know we just bumped into each other yesterday, but let's catch up. I mean it! And seeing a couple of close faces could really bump up my mood, which could use a lift after this s**t week."

Timont's eyes narrowed for a split second. He wondered what game she was playing at. It was very clear that she wanted something, and was willing to use Timont to reach that goal. He then chuckled, his eyes slowly returning to their normal size. Everyone used everyone else here, the biggest thing was not holding a grudge. "I have no idea where Gramps will be. No one does. Sometimes I think Gramps doesn't know himself half the time. But you are welcome to tag along." As the last word left his mouth, he plucked the phone out of its cradle, calling downstairs for two coffees and some food.

"So Aiden, I guess we started catching up last night, but in our sorry states, I'm not sure how much we remember. So if you'd like, I could go through the vast and vastly interesting history of my family, or we can skip the bs and go to what you really want to hear. News on the West, and more specifically those who are also chasing the crown." Timont then sported a wicked grin. "Or we could do something much more intimate." The word intimate rolled off his tongue in a weird suggestive way that his eyebrows countered by waggling in a over the top almost teasingly suggestive manner. "Your choice"

Timont's passive nature had become Aiden's stroke of luck as her trip to Aes had been more than just easily secured. The morning had become glories and already, with Aiden in the best of moods, the younger of the two weapons traders was toying with how to come about her mission to the citadel. As all was in the makings in her head, what Timont was saying next registered little until the keyword 'crown' was spoken and from the point on Timont was listened to intently and almost suddenly, not so intently.

Her eyes behind smeared eyeliner were onlooking judgmentally at her conversationalist partner for a moment. The quick turn into suggestive play had felt like a trick played particularly on someone so invested on the crown. "Well," She said as if she was slickly gain control of and guide the talk, "it's hard to turn down any news about the crown, but try to tell me something I don't know about it."
PostPosted: Sun Jul 28, 2013 9:48 am

"My dear Aiden," Timont said with a small chuckle, "It is quite easy to turn down news about the crown. All one must say is no thank you" Timonts eyes sparkled with mirth. "Of course that never crossed your mind. As for what you know or don't, you will have to enlighten me. However I can say with most certainty that no one else is as far, nor as intent as you are on the crown. Since the crown is obviously magical in nature, that bringing someone with magical knowledge in your quest would be useful. As for you, the recent events in Aes and Lucidus Magus aid you greatly. With everyone else looking in the opposite direction, no one is going to notice a small group going west. Indeed most would believe that you are trying to evade the war, and very few will bother you." Timont waved a dismissive hand, as there was a knock on the door. Quickly he opened it, bringing in the meal. Sliding a coffee to Aiden, he continued speaking.

"But you almost certainly know that. No, what you are almost more interested in is a guide for the west. And rumor has it that one is currently stuck in Armatus. A feisty soul, but she would be a good start. She has no desires rather then to return home, and would almost certainly help the one that fulfills her desire." Timont took a sip of his coffee, before speaking once more. "But the six under? That I would assume referred to the companions of the crown wielder, but I am not certain." Timont paused for dramatic effect, "And that is all I know."

Drunk or not, there was an unfortunate amount of tolerance that Aiden could muster against non-essential sass at her expense only. Her legs uncrossed and each took position flat and apart on the floor. Her voice had become stricter and deep with the unease of temper. "Well, I understand how one might think that if he isn't interested in the crown." Her fingers unintentionally clutched onto the mug handle. Knuckles tested the heat and although the drink was cool enough for a sip, Aiden had found herself reluctant to drink something supplied by Timont. By now, it was clear that the last night's alcohol was no favor to Aiden's mood now and words would not just slip past her lips so easily.

Yet, as Aiden was a girl who'd be living on a favor this day, she would find herself to agree with a calm if it would aid the progression of her day. An so, with an inquisitive tone now a part of her sequence, she played with Timont's suggestion to add a mysterious character to Aiden's own party. "This chick- is she more magical than me? And oh, when you say 'that's all you know,' do you mean I won't be getting a name?"
PostPosted: Tue Jul 30, 2013 9:17 am

"Well besides where she is located, I have little more information than a vague description of what she looks like. But we currently have a team placed following her tracks." Timont drank some more coffee, unphased by Aidens lack of drinking. "As for her name; we have no idea. Currently she's occupied a hotel under the name Sarah, no last name. We actually heard about her through some family thugs," Timont said the word with a bit of a bitter twinge to his tone, but his face remained impassive. "Of course the name could be a moniker for all we know. We were able to backtrack her movements, so we confirmed that she came from the west. But no ones ever seen her use magic. That may be due to her pack of magic, or her trying to conceal her true nature. My thugs are screaming she's a Mage, due to how easily they were trounced. But that is completely meaningless." Timont took a bite of his food, quickly swallowing before returning to talking.

"What we do know is she's trying to escape Armatus, but the war is preventing most people from leaving. We also know she's from the West. No doubtedly she has lived out there most of her life. Her accent is strong, and her education poor. But she has been selling a medicine that has unique qualities. A contact of my family reversed engineered the main ingredients to only find out that if combined with flower found most commonly out West, you get a strong laxative. Also, one of the ingredients found in the medication is a leaf ground into a fine powder using some sort of mortar." Timont paused, before finishing off his meal in two large bites. Swallowing, he continued.

"The science is unimportant. Basically she's been using ingredients found in the West, but each batch has been, let us say, less pure than the previous batch. Obviously she's running out of supplies, and doing so quickly. The fact she knows this is proof of he residency in the West." Timont frowned. He wondered if the cost of this information was too high. At first it had been a simple question of who she was, and if the family should punish her. But then it blown into a complex dramatic investigation, though the question hasn't changed. Who was this woman. Timont, tired of running what he felt was an unnecessary waste of resources, had outsourced it to the one man he trusted for this work: the infamous Scientia. A man to be reckoned with indeed. Too bad half of what Scientia told him he couldn't tell Aiden. His face, of course didnt betray his inner thoughts. "So that's what I know."

Eyes detached from Timont. "Alright, so that's a plenty more knowledge than you just let on."

Not having bothered to dilute the taste with sugars or cream, Aiden picked up the black drink. No connoisseur to caffeine products and a fan of instant for her only concern was to feel like high of being so awake, Aiden would work in gulps.

"I know a westerner too: Moa Vanderval. This girl could literally, and I'm not exaggerating or telling any secret, turn into a wolf. I mean really transform this tiny human frame into this giant wolf with paws and teeth, " Aiden placed the cup down and hands and fingers outstretched to demonstrate in some sort of way, "and you know, contort right back. I don't know if she got sucked in with Judith or went down with the fire, and not to be insincere or anything because I am worried about my her and my little pack of friends, but she was also supposed to be the guide. I mean the guide west.

And Sarah... how known is she? Are you the only ones looking for her? Is it a rat race?"
PostPosted: Wed Jul 31, 2013 2:46 pm

"In so far; she's not really known to anyone but my family. Look, the only reason we even looked into her was because she got into a fight with some of our guys. I mean, she's making a little name for herself as a medicine woman, but past that we didn't notice anyone trying to get her." Timont sipped his coffee. "As for the other guide of yours. That talent is..... most unusual. Are you sure it wasn't a bend of the light trick or something?" Timont shrugged. "As for the rest of your friends, well I guess we could do some research into finding out if they are okay. It's not like either of us is overwhelmed with work, especially if you could just change your plans and come to Aes with me." Once again he shrugged after another sip. This might be a most interesting companionship.

For a long time Moa had been wandering around hidden in the alleyways since the fire. After the fire burned out she was buried under some rubble. Once she came to she didn't know where she was or where to go. She didn't even know what she had been doing. So from that time she had ended up walking around even hitching a ride here and there when she could to get where she was now hidden again in an alley. Through all of this she got some clothes so she wasn't only in an under dress with no shoes. She grabbed some black pants and a tank-top that hugged her tightly with a cloak that was black as well and a hood.

Walking around for a while she was deep in though that she didn't realize that she had ended up on the streets with people everywhere. Her eyes dazed over and her walk stumbling a bit here and there.
