It's how just living with people work. Everyone judges each other. I already gave my answer. You told me your story. That's it." He said, flipping a few more pages without even looking at them.

"I haven't judged you," Rin huffed quietly. "And you say you answered me - but I'm still in the dark on why the ******** you're so upset about that and by changing your tone? How about one minute saying it's no big deal that I did that and then suddenly, 'oh no, unlike some people you don't have to ******** around to feel safe'... judging much? Make up your mind. Are you or are you not judging me about this and if so, WHY? It happened before you were even awake."

He looked back up. "Alright. I'm judging you. Why? No one just hangs out with their ex after ******** them over and over and just breaking off without any feelings. I have to wonder how that works when I'm hanging with you guys. Feelings like that tend to effect how you act during battle. You defend Rep a lot during battle and off, even excused him taking off your hand and way beyond accidents and just friendship. Don't even kid me on that. When I'm hanging with you guys, I have to know if I'm just some third wheel. You admitted to me that you liked Sasha even though she was with someone. Even though that's changed, you still liked her. I don't know if you might somehow have feelings for Rep even if you say you didn't. I don't want to be around that sort of drama without knowing everything there is to know because when it comes down to it, when we're fighting, I have a feeling you'd work very hard to protect someone you had sex with beyond others. I have to judge what it even is between you because people lie to themselves. I might not have been there when it happened, but feelings linger, and Rep uses those feelings to protect him. He gets a way with a lot, and you let him get away with a lot just like everyone else, and I think your history comes into it." He shut the binder.
"Anything else you want to ******** ask?" Yes, Melvin was ANSWERING questions now.

Melvin was answering and Rin was listening for quite some time before finally harping up herself, "He's not my ex for one. Again, we never ******** dated. We just had each other's backs. And what does it matter to you what I let him 'get away with'? It's my ******** arm. Why do you feel like you should be angrier about it than I already am? As for third wheel. You weren't. I really liked you. I liked you a lot. I don't know so much now. If this is all it takes to turn you against me then I really don't ******** know what to make of you. Especially at the kind of s**t you just... snooped for and what you're doing with it. Why you would even question... I just..." Rin shook her head, "I wasn't judging you before, but I sure as ******** am now."

"If you ******** someone, they're your ex. Doesn't matter if you dated. You were still in a relationship no matter what it meant. I'm angry because no one else ever seems to be, and you let him get away with a lot. You make excuses for him and say it's because you care and he's your friend, and then call me in because he still pouts like he's a ******** baby when he should be taking care of himself. He's a grown man, and he doesn't have your back when he takes off your arm accidentally. I'm not turning against you. I'm trying to figure you out and what is going on with you and trying to find the truth by just asking you for it. It's not snooping if I ask. I care about you because you don't seem to care that maybe someone might be using you, and I'm not sure you know and if you like it. If you do, then fine. That's your decision. If you don't, you might want to open your eyes." His jaw was close to setting with how hard he was trying to restrain his jaw from clenching and just grinding his teeth against each other.

"Don't tell me you are worried about me. I'm a grown woman. I've been surviving just fine for years and for the record; he's not gotten away with anything. I just choose to handle the situation in private where it belongs. What do you expect me to do? Chop his arm off on purpose back? What the ******** would that accomplish? No. I handle my own s**t my own way and have forgiven him as a result. Though he's taking longer to forgive himself. But... well, he's an idiot. I'm not going to deny that. I tell him it every chance I get." Rin still gave Melvin a distrustful glancing over, "How weak do you think I am?"

"Not weak. I think you aren't hard enough on him. He might feel bad, but I think he should be in more trouble because he hasn't learned. As bad as he might feel, he's still doing the same s**t, and I don't think you help. I'm just trying to watch out for you - ya know. As a friend." He felt exhausted by this conversation, saying more about what he felt than he had in the past few months. He blamed not sleeping.

I don't know if you care about other people's lives if it meant between them or Rep, and I don't know if you care about your own life when Rep could hurt you even more and that you wouldn't just give him a slap on the wrist like everyone else does. That's all I'm getting at now." He picked up his jacket from the back of his chair, putting it on.

"Just be careful around him, okay? Next time, that accident might wind up hitting something vital and other people are less forgiving than you are and some things aren't forgivable." He took the binder and set it back on the shelf before heading for the door. Too much was already said as it was.
