"For men interested in tavern wenches, perhaps," he replied. "I have a little more class, myself." He turned his horse and set him at a swift trot towards the merchants.
Whether it was happenstance or a deliberate gesture, the stallion managed to flip his tail at the buck. A fitting reply, either way.
"Let's get this over with. The sooner we take care of the children, the sooner we can be rid of them."

"Oh really? I hadn't guessed that!" She just smirked at the back of his head for a minute, suppressing a laugh at Nightlark's indignation at having a horse flip its tail at him! He snorted, head lowering to threaten with his antlers. Not that anyone but Nori was paying attention.
With a small urge, the buck reluctantly trotted over to catch up with horse and rider, ignoring them both. "Ah, what? You mean you aren't suddenly getting any urges to be a father?" She eyed the caravan members they passed, sharp eyes taking in more than she let on. And then sighed. "That was probably all we're going to get this trip too." Was she disappointed?
