"You seem the type that would believe so," he pointed out when she told him that she didn't expect it. The reasoning behind it was pretty much proven right when she mentioned that she was used to looking out for herself and not have anyone attend to her needs.
Akubi just squinted at Riyo in a pleased manner, "Fair enough," he replied, almost as if he were granting a wish for her. It wasn't like he was plotting to doom her to a life of servitude or want anything more than what was there between them.
He stared at the offer of the can of tuna and nibbled some of the half that was left. Akubi had eaten not too long ago and thus did not desire much, "Thank youuuu~."

"Yeah. Well.. I also have to think that they're either very kind or very stupid people. Maybe a little bit of both." Whether she realized it or not, the small handful of friends she had were held in a very high regard. Especially Xiu, who was so nice it almost hurt.
"Yeah, whatever." Pretty much her response anytime someone thanked her. When he finished with the tuna, Riyo decided to bend the lid back to save the rest for her cats. It wasn't much, but it was something. And if this boil was going to be her new meal ticket, better she gave them this anyways.
And it was mere moments later that the wind began to settle. The feline stared out the hole she'd made and watched as the weather began to calm, though she had no idea for how long it would stay that way. "C'mon. Lets get the hell out of here." Out of these wet clothes and into something comfortable.

"Only if it is stupid to love one's friend enough to give them food or to help them, then I guess it would be correct." He chimed cheerfully. Akubi wasn't a proud demon it seemed. He came equipped with 'hearth wisdom' from his Auntie, though it was hard to say just how much of that kindness actually sunk into him.
He jumped down off of her lap when she signaled that it was time to go, "Yes, yes. It would be nice to be somewhere not made of snow and ice."
His tail-stub gave a bit of a twitch as he bounded his way out first.

"Well, it's been proven to me on many occasions that love is pretty stupid." Certainly made you do stupid-a** things. She wouldn't let him have that one, it seemed.
The cat ghoul was quick to crawl out behind him, scooping the boil up and making a hustle for it while the dorms were in sight. No telling if the storm was over or if it had just begun, after all.
Ten minutes later, after combination jumping and running through the snow, Riyo panted through the door of the demon dorms and set Akubi down on the hardwood floor. She was winded, tired, and more than a little bit cold... But they'd made it. And the worst was over, right?
... Right?
"Welcome... To the demon dorms." The demoness sighed out as she attempted to catch her breath.

"I wouldn't know about that beyond friendship and familial~," he chirruped back at her.
It was much to his surprise when she suddenly scooped him up again but he didn't fight it since her way seemed much quicker than the jaunty strut that he was planning on. Still, he dangled quite comically within her arms as they rushed through before the weather could strike again.
Once in and set down he shook himself a bit and then looked up at her, "Thanks!" He looked around and let out a low whistle, "Snazz-ee."

"Yeah. Nicest dorm out of them all.." Riyo mumbled and headed towards the stairs sluggishly. "Rooms are decent too." Decent meaning beautiful, but since she had been used to luxury for a long time it really didn't phase her anymore.
"Now, if you don't mind I'm just gonna head up to my room and... Sleep... Probably." Maybe tea first, but that was if she could stand to stay up long enough to make it.

"Huh. Interesting." He moved to walk up the stairs with her. Mostly because the papers mentioned that his rooms were somewhere up those stairs and he also wanted to make sure Riyo got to her dorm okay.
As he walked with her he continued to chatter cheerfully, "I don't mind at all. In fact my room is up these stairs, I think!"

A shiver shot up Riyo's spine when he mentioned his dorm was somewhere up here. Her mind told her that surely he couldn't be in a room next to her as big as these dorms were, but her gut... Her gut told her that she was screwed.
"Oh... You don't say?" She asked nervously and searched her pocket for her keys. A large ring was removed, and her door was quickly located. Sleepily the ghoul inserted the key and looked back at the other feline. "Alright then. Later." Now just keep walking... Please... For the love of Jack...

Someone hand her gut a prize. He kept walking but only long enough to walk past her door and to sit in front of the door that was next to hers and unoccupied. He stared up at it for a long moment. "Hmm! Yep. This is my room," he announced after a long moment and suddenly there was a twisting of bone again as in his place stood him as a humanoid figure and he opened the door.
"Thanks for showing me to the right dorm~, have a good rest. Yes? Good." He then slipped into his room.

Riyo's jaw practically dropped when he opened the door right ******** next to her.
Right. ********. Next to her.
Oh Jack.
Ooooh Jack.
Her brain kinda melted as the probability meter malfunctioned, just enough to forget that she hadn't turned her key yet.
Alright, time to go in. Right now. Without realizing that the knob hadn't fully turned, the cat ghoul attempted to shove her way in, only to be embraced by her well-polished and quite sturdy wood door.
She stumbled back and clutched her head tightly. "********!" The only appropriate obscenity for such a blunder. Absentmindedly her hand searched for the key to turn it, all the while one hand stayed to protect her cranium from further damage. Only when the key was turned as far as it could go did she dare to touch that knob again, practically falling into her living space.
