It was not Michiko who heard Mila's call first, but her sister. Naomi had not left her parents glen yet. She had found it amusing to be around while her mother helped raise Jara's children and now they were all grown up and things had gotten quiet again. So when she heard Jaromila's familiar voice ring out through the glen, she bounded that way. "Jaromila!!!!" Naomi shouted out running that way to skid to a stop near them. She smiled happily, nodding her head also to Haides. "And welcome Haides." Her voice was happy and excited all in one.

Haides nodded to his sister-in-law, the gentle smile still fixed on his face. "Thank you for the welcome, Naomi." Come to think of it... had Naomi ever heard that he was Jaromila's mate? He didn't know. He was pretty sure she hadn't been there when it was initially announced... Well, he was sure Jaromila would be happy that at least one of her sisters would be there to hear their good news, just as--although he didn't show it--he'd been happy that Beta had overhead it.

Jaromila smiled when she saw her sister and she gave a soft whinny in greeting.
"It is nice to see you, Nae. I did not know you were still at home, but good to see you nonetheless. Would you know where Mama is, Haides and I have some very big news to tell her and Papa,"Mila explained.

"I believe she is in her meadow, sun bathing, now that she finally has time to do that again." Naomi said with a small laugh. She could only wonder about what they could have to tell Mother and Father. It made her somewhat giddy with excitement to find out. The quick look of confusion told Naomi that Haides didn't expect her to know that they were mates, well of course she would know!

Jaromila bowed her head in thanks to Naomi with a soft smile resting on her lips. She could see her sister's excitement and she knew she probably wanted to know what news they had for their parents.
"Nae, you are welcome to come with us as we go talk to our parents. I think you need to know as much as they do, in fact the whole family needs to know at some point,"Mila spoke gently. She motioned for them to follow as she made her way to her mother's meadow. When she got there, she smiled when she saw her mom.
"Hello Mama,"she called out.

Michiko heard her daughter's approach and stood as Jaromila, her mate Haides, and Naomi made their way to her. "Mila!" She cried out happily, nuzzling her daughter warmly when she was within range.

Jaromila returned her mother's affectionate nuzzle, then looked at her with her eyes shining.
"Mama, I have big news for you and Papa, things you both need to know. Haides and I just found something out today and I hope you will be happy for us,"Mila began. She knew she couldn't beat around the bush, her parents needed to be told, so they could start planning on what to do.

Michiko's eyes brightened as she looked from Mila to Haides then over to Naomi. "Naomi, go get your father, I think he is by the orchard." She instructed warmly, her tail swishing a bit impatiently, but knew that Jaromir would never forgive her if she didn't wait for him to be around for the news.

Naomi nodded and quickly left to go get her father. She was interested in what Jaromila would possibly have to tell their parents. What if? Oooohhh that would be good so sweet! She thought to herself.
Jaromir was indeed at the orchard, eating delicious apples and having some time to relax.
"Daddy, Jaromila and Haides are home and they said they have something to tell you and Momma. Mom told me to come and get you." Naomi said once she reached her father.
Jaromir nodded stoicly and followed his daughter. A rare smile on his lips when he saw Jaromila. "It's nice to see you again Mila. You as well, Haides." He said as he greeted is children.

Jaromila smiled softly when she saw her father, still mentally preparing her words to her parents.
"It is good to see you too, Papa. I am sorry it has been a bit, but I should be getting to spend more time with the family now..since...Haides and I are going to need help,"Mila spoke, the last being sort of blurted. She winced, not exactly the mental words she had prepared, having just said the first thing that came to mind..unusual for the mare.

Haides gave a smile of his own, nodding to his mate's father. "Likewise, Jaromir." He couldn't help being amused at the sudden blurting from Jaromila. Definitely out of character, but considering the situation, not surprising. Turning his attention to his in-laws, he finished explaining. "Mila and I are expecting."
