Giving Kat a very pained look as he wrapped her other leg in bandages, Lex shook his head and looked down.

A small sigh, and his shoulders fell.

"No..."

Registering a humanoid form moving closer, Thackery started to take a step backward, until he realized that she wasn't trying to get around him. Her hand was outstretched, and she was walking right up to him, so...did she want to say hi?!

His tail began to wag in slow, fluffy arches, his mouth opening into a cheerful puppy grin.

"Hey! Hello! My name is Thackery and it's nice to meet you!" Unable to contain his excitement, he hopped from paw to paw, pausing only momentarily as he ensured that he wasn't being incredibly offensive. "Wait, I mean...first! Did you need any help?"

Sherry listened.

Jake's response had sounded a lot like things Sherry had said in the past. She didn't respond, though. Someone else took care of that. But it did cause Sherry to remember the conversation she'd had with Mei before. When they hadn't been busy insulting each other, Mei had asked some difficult questions. The kind of questions that made Sherry question her purpose as a hunter.

So Sherry kept listening. It did sound like the doll was indeed on the friendly side of things. When had that happened? And why? She didn't hate humans as a rule? Why were there so many questio--

Oh! Another one! Mei was no longer the lone students among the hunters.

Sherry glanced around. Aside from Jake, who went storming off, nearly everyone in the immediate area seemed to be fine with current situation. Whatever her past with Mei, it was clear that not everyone had the same. The doll had been helping.



Or do I not think enough? Perhaps that's what it was. Sherry had simply accepted everything she was told. And just now, she'd been told about old enemies helping allies.

"Okay then." Her question had been more or less answered. The students did not seem to be here under a hostile situation. And that was that. Sherry had made one simple decision: She would let things be. She was still confused, but really, things had gone crazy in recent weeks. Nothing was like it used to be.

She nodded at Eva and Ariane. "It seems you have a handle on things."

Sherry then turned and slowly walked away. It had been a long day, and she wanted a nap. And perhaps some time to think. Lots of time to think.

Mei didn't appear to be upset when the one hunter stormed out of the room. In fact, she was a little relieved for him to go. She got that he disliked her kind, but wow.

Her eye brows rose again when she noticed that it was not only Amphi that had come, but Thackery as well. She had seen them around campus before, but had rarely spoken to them before. Looks like they might have that chance now, however.

"I'm.. not sure." She answered Eva. She has been speaking with Gale for sometime on aiding the hunters, but.. she had never really thought to end up here--even if it was a mistake. "I guess.. we might have a talk with one of your leads.." That.. was likely to go either way. The lead that was with them all seemed like a decent soul, but she was unsure about the rest, like Caelius..

So.. Amphi had come here by choice then? Did the same go for Thack? She would have to ask them more later, if given the option. "Wash..? Was he the one that spoke with you before? The one that--" That helped them escape from here before. That..was probably best left unsaid. She had no idea how much the hunters knew about that, even if one of them was there when he did it.

Mei offered Stormy a nervous smile at her question. "I guess that all depends on your superiors." Though, what she wanted to 'pick her brain' about, she would have to discover later. "Oh..!" Rubbing at the back of her neck, she gave a sheepish grin. "I'm glad I was of some help. My fear healing isn't always that reliable." It was amazing, that she actually managed to heal everyone intended this time.

Looking to Sherry, she watched her quietly, knowing that sooner or later she would have to speak with her. Maybe even apologize for past offences.

As she made her request, Thackery listened intently, ears perked, head tilted slightly to the side. He didn't move a muscle as she spoke, seemingly soaking in every word like a dog-shaped sponge. But when she'd finished speaking, and he noticed that both of her arms were reaching towards him, he couldn't help stepping forward to cautiously nuzzle one of her palms. He always liked getting nose-kisses from his minipets after a long day. Maybe she would too.

"Yep! Of course! I wouldn't ever bite anyone who just wanted hugs. Especially if it helps you feel better." His tail wagged a little harder. Was he really going to have the chance to be helpful? With hugs, even?

He tried to stay focused on the hunter in front of him, refusing to let his thoughts stray into wild imagination of what exactly happened earlier today.

Safe to say, like Ofelia did most every time she woke up from being injured, the redhead screamed. It wasn't a scream of terror or unhappiness, it was something far more guttural and primal. It was the sound of someone screaming either for their life, or simply just because, but as the techs worked on her after bringing her back in it was all she could do. Her stomach wound was easily handled, even if someone had to hold her still, and in spite of having gotten blood everywhere back on the field and in the tent she still apparently had some fight left in her.

One tech had to hold her arm down as the other kept cutting open the hoodie she wore, her jacket far beyond any hopes of being saved. It was shredded, and red a hue to match her hair, and the panicked teen kept struggling even though each movement had her hurting more and more. The screams were somewhat ebbing though but they'd certainly been loud enough to fill the room.

If Ofelia should have been ashamed for herself acting like that she sure as hell didn't show it. The shock of getting hit on the battlefield, falling, and then coming to with people standing over her had her body in a bit of a do not want situation.

"Stormy. Okay! I can do that." Thackery's eyes were half-lidded through all of the head-scritches, reveling in the affection.

His words came out a little slower and a lot more relaxed when he spoke again to answer her questions. This was clearly a situation of mutual benefit.

"Kinda. We weren't a group or anything, but we go to the same school. I came because...a few reasons, but mainly 'cause I know you're not bad. And I thought I might be able to help somehow, since I was okay, and it seemed like the horsemen might've wanted to make sure you weren't. And because I hav...had a friend here. But I kinda made a mistake. I want to make sure she's okay too."

He briefly considered flopping over onto his back for a belly rub, but that might have been a bit forward for humans. Did they even get belly rubs? Probably not. He guessed they wouldn't get them from people they just met, anyway.

"Um, one does. His name's Ash. We'll miss each other but it'll be okay. I can make sure you're all better in the meantime! Do you have any friends here?" The words were out of his mouth before he realized that she might have friends who didn't make it back. His cheery demeanor faltered for a split-second while he scolded himself and hoped that wasn't true.
