Aw, so it was about Mac. While he hated Mac, he cared for Hel. And if Hel was falling in love with the other reaper, Mot would support her like a good friend should.
"You're right. Maybe it would be best to tell him about what you're feeling. Maybe he'll be put off, or maybe he'll feel the same." Mot smiled at the ghoul softly. "But talking to me about it is okay too. You need support, right? I always feel better when I share my worries and feelings with a friend."

Eat your heart out, Freya. Hel was feeling more support from the grim right now, and that made her happy. Hel’s face broke out into a wide smile as Mot was rather supportive of her, and not judging or scowling at all. It was weird but terribly awesome as well. “That is it exactly!” The ghoul cried. “I am worried he will be put off, and I am concerned that things will be different in a bad way…but you and I both know that it is detrimental to just…keep your feelings in and try to carry on like nothing is different.” Hel then sighed.
“Stupid feelings.” She chuckled, and then hugged onto the grim again. “I love you.” A companion love.

Mot was taken aback by her enthusiasm. Was she surprised by all this? How strange.. Had he known he was the only one so far to be so encouraging he'd have thrown a fit.
"No one knows that more than us, right?" Mot chuckled at their own expense. Live and learn.
Mot smiled warmly, hugging her back. "I love you too, Hel." Platonically. He held the hug until he decided to poke her sides with his bony fingers.

Yes, Mot. Hel was very surprised by this. Very, very surprised.
“Right.” Hel agreed with a nod of her head. It was true, so very true. The ghoul was content to sit there hugging onto him…until his bony fingers were digging into her sides. Hel squealed like some sort of rabid pig-mini and immediately shot away from the grim. She scrambled back under the table, and rattled everything on the surface as a loud thump echoed, followed by cursing in a foreign language before Hel reappeared back on her side, rubbing her head. “I am onto you.” She replied, narrowing her eyes and pulling her hot chocolate back to her.

Mot smiled slyly, leaning his elbows on the able, his chin resting on top of clasped hands like some sort of evil villain.
"Cute."

Hel’s face went flat as she stared at Mot. A tense sort of dramatic silence set in as she stared at the cowboil, and the next thing heard was Hel pushing her hot chocolate to the side. She then laced her fingers together, and rested them on the table top. Her eyes narrowed.
“So…it has come to this…”

"There is only one way to settle this.." Mot's terra Cotta eyes narrowed into cat like slits.

“You are right…” Hel trailed off, and narrowed her eyes even further.
She started at Mot for a long moment before she shifted her hands, and crackled her knuckles against her palm. She then held a hand out, her thumb pointed up. “Thumb war.”

"Right."
Mot took Hel's hand, narrowing his eyes even further. "Winner gets.... um.... we'll decide after. As long as it isn't stupid. Ready... set... GO!"
And so it began.

Hel held onto Mot’s long fingers securely, and then crooked her thumb. She didn’t like what his ‘as long as it isn’t stupid’ implied, but oh well. She’d win…something! As soon as the cowboil said ‘go’, it was battle time.
Having those long and nimble fingers, Mot’s thumb gave hers the slip a few times…but in this round, Hel’s brute force saw her through. She pinned his thumb down with her own, and counted to three. Once she hit three with no resistance, she let out a whoop and threw her hands in the air.
“I WIN!”

"NOooooooo!" Mot let out a bellowing cry of defeat, face down on the table. He lifted himself up a moment later, hands cupping his puffed cheeks with elbows rudely leaning on the table's edge.
"Fiiiiine! So what does the winner want?"

Hel deliberated her prize for quite a while, sucking down the rest of her hot chocolate before she placed an empty cup back down on the table.
“…Ah ha!” She cried. “I know!” She leaned towards Mot, grinning. “As winner…I decree that you will sing a song with me on our way back to the dorms!” She leaned back then and crossed her arms, waiting with a grin on her face.

"Fiend!" Mot bellowed in jest. He skidded his empty mug away from himself and stood up dramatically.
"FINE! If I must." He huffed like it was a big deal.

Hel sighed happily, standing as well as she pulled all her winter layers back on and buttoned up, followed by her hat.
“Oh, I know.” She nodded her head sagely. “Come, victim!” She nudged his side with an elbow, and then made a beeline for the door where she held it open for him once more. “Ladies first.”

Oh, Hel, No.
"I am not a lady." Mot insisted, crossing his arms and refusing to leave.
