Titus was awesome amusement. A+. Seeing him shiver? He really just signed his own death certificate.
She kept her foot pressed against his calf, and smirked with the sausage against her mouth. Oh Jack. Oooooh Jack. She just wanted to snort right now, but that’d really alert his uncle that something was up…so instead, Hel just glanced at Titus out of the corner of her eye again. She then sucked on the sausage, as if she was savoring the smoked flavor, lightly humming her approval again.
Sorry Titus. You were just too much fun…and much too easy. Hel would love to break you right now.

To his credit Titus managed to stay fairly still though his expression was wavering. He wanted to whimper for help but he knew by doing so it would only alert his uncle that something was up. Instead he bore with it, his left eye twitching now and again.
When Hel began sucking on the sausage Titus abruptly stood from his chair, his eyes facing directly in front of him. "Toilet." Was all he announced as he stiffly pulled away from the table and made a hasty exit.
"Whaa...why would you....I just got to the best part." His Uncle complained, taking the small break so that he could stuff his face. He really had no idea what was going on. "That boy is a strange one, though so are his parents."

It was a good thing Hel had her mouth full…because she would have busted out laughing as Titus fled. Instead, she bite off half of the sausage and chewed, turning her attention back to his uncle now that he had stopped telling his story. She immediately stopped though as he mentioned his parents, and she abruptly swallowed, leaning in towards Uncle with wide eyes.
“Oh? How so? Is his sister as well?” Hel stopped eating now, as she very much wanted to know about Titus’ family. “Ah…it is just…he does not speak of them…at all…and I am terribly curious…and…it might help to ah…understand him better…?” Hel thought she was good at this winging it thing. That reasoning sounded pretty legit to her.

Morpheus suddenly looked hesitant as if he has said too much, but as she said it would probably help her to understand Titus a bit better. It just probably would have been better coming from him. "I'm not one to talk bad about my own family but you could say the way they view parenting is a bit....skewed. They aren't completely uncaring but they don't know how to encourage or complement, and everything is always a serious matter even if it isn't."
Morpheus sat back in his chair, eyeing his food that he had managed to eat while talking. "His sister is a whole other matter. I'm honestly surprised he told you he had one."

Hel, oddly enough, had stopped eating (but it also helped she had been stuffing her face for the past three hours). Her full attention was on Uncle now, and she nodded her head a bit at his words. Well, that definitely made sense…but was all that they did to end up with…well…Titus? But ah…back to the sister again…
“…Ya…well…all he said about her was that her name is Mirren and she is a soulless beast…” Hel trailed off and then stared at Uncle expectantly. She was ready to be enlightened about this mysterious and dominating Mirren, thank you very much.

Morpheus chuckled at that. "That's probably not far from the truth. She's....tenacious." It seemed like Morpheus was trying to choose his words carefully. Mirren was his niece after all and it wasn't like he had no love for her. "If there is something she wants she will get it and she doesn't often concern herself with who might pay the price. Titus has been on the receiving end of more than a few of her mistakes and blunders." He explained.
Sitting back the demon regarded Hel for a moment. "You are quite the surprise though. Its no secret that Titus isn't fond of reapers but you are a rather striking young lady. I should probably thank you, he is a rather lonely soul. It's nice to see he's breaking out of his shell a little. Even if you aren't his ghoulfriend."

Yeah well…Hel was tenacious too, but she hadn’t made anyone out to be like…Titus…she hoped. “Ah…I see…” Backlash from the sister’s actions, huh? That didn’t sound too far from her in some cases. The reaper blinked as Uncle then seemed to settle on her, and even went so far as to compliment her. Hel felt pretty good about herself…until that last part.
“B-Buh!?” She couldn’t help but choke out loudly, going wide eyed as she stared at the Uncle. ********. THE JIG WAS UP! But the jig couldn’t be up…or she’d have to pay Titus back! She had let the silence hang for too long though…and after a moment Hel’s head hung and her shoulders slumped as she groaned. “What gave it away, sir?”

Morpheus chuckled. "You mean other than the fact that Titus isn't exactly boilfriend material?" His focus went to the table, his hands idly messing with a spoon. "I could tell when I first saw you together. That and it was a little too convenient for Titus to suddenly have someone when his parents are trying to set him up with a bride of their choosing from another family. I don't exactly agree with their methods but I'm just the Uncle. What say do I really have?"
He tilted his head up to look in the direction Titus had disappeared but the boil seemed to be taking his time. "If he wants to pretend, however, I don't think I mind helping to play a part in it. He can be a good boy if given the opportunity he just has a hard way of showing it." His smile broadened as he turned back to Hel. "But it is nice to know he has friends in some respect. You must be a hell of a ghoul to pretend to be his ghoulfriend."

Hel was both relieved…and further horrified. Well…at least it wasn’t like that horrible mish-mashed story did them in. Hel was puffing out her cheeks out though. They didn’t look convincing at first sight? Laaame. The ghoul let the air out though at this bit of interesting news. “Huh…” Hel wasn’t a stranger to arranged marriages. It was a big practice back where she was from after all…but she had no idea Titus was subject to it as well.
The reaper seemed relieved when Uncle stated that he would continue to play a part in it. “Oh, thank you!” Hel exclaimed, leaning across the table and grinning widely. “See…we set up this deal, and if I do not hold up my end, I have to pay back everything Titus has bought me so far…and then some.” The ghoul then laughed. “Ya think so? Ah well…alright then.” Hel trailed off for a moment. A friend of sorts. Yeah…she guessed so. A very weird friend of sorts. “To be honest…” Hel lowered her voice a bit. “I truly did hate him when I first met him…but then I had some experiences happen to me and…ah…well…some things just are not worth holding onto it…like anger and hatred towards those who are not really worthy of it.”
She grinned a bit. “I suppose that is why I am here now…that, and I am really too stubborn, ha.”

"Oh a deal you say?" Morpheus looked suddenly interested but only laughed when he heard the details. "Well, I guess it would take some incentive to pretend to be his ghoulfriend."
When she explained about her true feelings about the boil at first Morpheus couldn't really blame her. Titus was far from being a cuddly individual but he had been raised that way. Always guarded.
"Ha ha, a wise outlook." He nodded with approval. Holding onto anger wasn't something Morpheus believed in though that was probably why there was a huge personality difference. "Ha, being stubborn isn't all bad but it can land you in some trouble now and again." Whether this was one of those times Morpheus wasn't sure. "Before he comes back you should come up with an embarrassing story to tell me. A date gone wrong or something delightful." Okay, so Morpheus had a little bit of a teasing streak. He couldn't be all good right?

Titus had a cool uncle. Now only if he could take some tips from the older nightmare demon and chill out as well. “Ah, but existence is not fun unless you get into a bit of trouble now and then.” Hel replied with a bit of a laugh, waving her hand idly. She paused, and looked surprised for a moment about the comment before she laughed loudly. “Okay, okay…!” She agreed, and took this time to think really hard, furrowing her brows.
While she thought though, she glanced at the door way Titus had disappeared down. “…Do you think he fell into a toilet or something?”

"How true you are. Trouble is just another spice to life." Apparently Hel wasn't the only one that like to use food in reference to things.
"Considering he doesn't usually eat or drink I can't imagine he's going to the bathroom with the need to go." His Uncle pointed out. What exactly he was doing Morpheus couldn't rightly say but it was probably safe to assume he wouldn't be gone much longer.
"So what are you thinking? Something embarrassing is key." Morpheus grinned. "It can be obscure too. I mean that story you tried to weave together for me earlier was....something. Maybe he tried to show you his love and stood at the fountain in town square to sing to you but only managed to fall in and nearly drown."

Hel almost wanted to comment that maybe Titus was polishing off…a sausage in private…but…best to maybe not go there at this point in time with his uncle.
The ghoul hummed a bit, grinning lightly as Uncle tried to offer up some suggestions, and it was all it took to jolt her mind. Hel snapped her fingers. “Oh! I got it!” She grinned and leaned forward. “A while ago, Titus took me dancing. I wore something that was cut like my top now, and it went down all the way to the floor…well, he is a very good dancer!” She giggled. “But so, he was twirling me this way and that in wide swooping arcs…and then he dipped me really low and RIIIIIIIIIP!” Hel threw her arms above her head. “Sadly, it was not the seam of his pants. It was my bra. So on the dance floor, I reached down the front of my dress and pulled out my broken bra! Titus turned crimson, starting from down to up! Then blood blew out his nose and he fled.”
Combining a few past experiences…it was a good one, or so Hel thought.

Morpheus was poised in his seat ready for Hel's tale. His eyes brightened at the story and he let out a hearty laugh at the end. "Hahaha that sounds like Titus. That's a good one." He beamed at the ghoul and relaxed back in his seat again.
It seemed that was the time that Titus decided to join them again, looking mostly normal though a little disheveled. He took a seat beside Hel looking between her and his Uncle. "You better not have been talking about me while I was gone."
"Oh we were. Your lovely ghoulfriend was just telling me about the time you took her dancing and had a bit of a mishap."
"Mishap...." Titus wasn't sure he wanted to know what kind of mishap Hel had come up with. "What sort of mishap?" He asked carefully looking to Hel with narrowed eyes.

Hel couldn’t help but laugh along with Uncle when he laughed as well. The tale wasn’t exactly false…but it wasn’t exactly true…it was combining prom with one of the last times Hel had spent some time with the nightmare demon. In a good mood now, Hel actually did beam brightly at Titus when he returned. “Oh there, you are! I missed you.” She grinned then. “Ah, but those are always the best times to talk about someone!”
She was still beaming even when Titus narrowed his eyes at her. “The time when your nose was Ol’ Faithful when my bra snapped.” She grinned then. “Where did you go? To the moon? You were gone a while!”
